Diff between AQ & JMS internal listening channel

Hi,
we have configured the oracle b2b 11g server to support ebMS protocol. Tried sending the outbound message from host trading partner to remote trading partner. The outbound message was picked up by the host b2b server over the default queue (IP_OUT_QUEUE) and it had processed the outbound message successfully and send it to remote trading partner. Now i am trying to post a outbound message with the same set of properties over jms queues to host b2b server. It is throwing the following error. Can someone help me out to ounderstand the behaviour between AQ & JMS integration to the Oracle b2b server through internal listening channel?

Hi Nitesh,
Ok, I have done one change that i have enabled the internal option for the jms listening channel configured for the host application. Now the jms outbound message is getting failed with the following error. So I am thinking that the unsuccessfull message processing is due to the db issue then. Is my understanding correct?

  • Oracle 11g b2b server JMS Internal Delivery Channel Configuration

    Hi,
I am using Oracle 11g b2b server configured with ebMS protocol. I have created a JMS internal delivery channel at host trading partner. Now the Inbound message (message from remote trading partner) will be delivered to back-end application through the jms internal delivery channel. Now I wanted to send this message to the another weblogic server domain which is hosted on another box. So where do I give the other weblogic domain details such that the message will be delivered from the host trading partner's b2b server to remote weblogic domain queue?
    Regards,
    Baskaran

    Hi Baskaran,
As already mentioned by Nitesh, You can Create a Internal JMS Delivery channel and configure the same in your agreement to route the messages to the remote weblogic(domain) JMS queue.
Remote weblogic domain's ip address and port details can be configured as part of JMS Internal Delivery channel, "Destination Provider" like below,
    eg.
    java.naming.provider.url=t3://<host>:<port>;java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory;java.naming.security.principal=<username>;java.naming.security.credentials=<password>
In this case the messages directly delivery to the remote JMS queue.

  • BPEL JMS Adpater to publish message to B2B Internal Delivery Channel

We are planning to use the JMS adapter in BPEL to publish message to B2B Internal Delivery channels. But during the JMS Adapter configuration it doesnt list the B2B Internal queues (IP_OUT_QUEUE and IP_IN_QUEUE) in the list of queues. However for AQ Adapter in BPEL, during the AQ Adapter configuration its lists the queues(IP_OUT_QUEUE and IP_IN_QUEUE) in the list of the queues. We used the same database connection and user for both the adapters. The B2B queues are in the B2B repository.
Can we use the JMS Adapter in BPEL to publish message to B2B internal delivery channel and if so is there any other configuration we need to do?

You can use the default AQ to pub/sub messages in/out of the IP_IN and IP_OUT Qs.
However, if you still need to use JMS, then make the B2B listen to this JMS Q and then use the JMS adapter.
Using the default AQ should be robust and simple. But, again we have seen several customers implementing in thrid party JMS providers as per their business scenarios.

  • Diff between JBI and JCA & JMS

    Hi,
i am new to JBI. I want what is the diff between JCA and present JBI.
any one can give some explanition and suggest some links to fine the content.
    Thanks In advance
    Pandu

The challenge with JCA plugins is that the plugins don't know how to talk to each other as there is no standard way for them to communicate. Also, the installation of these plugins is not standardized. JBI spec is built around the WSDL model so any plugin can talk to any other plugin in a standard fashion. The routing of these messages is taken care by the normalized message router. Similarly the spec clearly spells out a packaging model for the plugin so that it can be installed into any standard container. Furthermore, by using standard JMX mbean mechanism, you can control the state of this plugin.
Reg. the NMR implementation, the spec confines itself to a single VM. Whether NMR is built on top of a message broker or a simple router like what we have in Open ESB is up to the implementation choice.
While a JMS based routing works for some of the configurations, requiring JMS for every routing decision is not optimal.

  • [URGENT]Internal Delivery Channels of B2B

    Hi,
After going through the tutorials of B2B and BPEL interoperability i am bit confused as the information is bit abstract.
If my understanding is not wrong, the trading partners created in B2B communicate among themselves through the B2B inbound and B2B outbound channels. These B2B channels in turn use IP_IN_QUEUE and IP_OUT_QUEUE.
But when I am connecting a Host application say BPEL with B2B to map some data fetched from oracle apps to the 850.xsd, by choosing the deployed B2B docs through WSIL browser, the default queue that is being used is AQ, which uses IP_IN_QUEUE and IP_OUT_QUEUE.
I am confused when i am trying to view the entire setup as I feel there is some missing concepts while intregating BPEL on one side with one TP as Host and the other as Remote.
More over Iwould also love to know if any tables like (IP_QTAB) are populated during the process of enquing and dequing.
any comments from any corners will be beneficial.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi Prabal,
Firstly, in B2B there are two communication sides, one is Internal (facing internal applications such as BPEL, IC etc) and the other is External (facing Remote Trading partners, diff organizations).
For Internal Communication B2B uses by default AQ channels.
    - IP_OUT_QUEUE is used by B2B to receive messages put in by Internal App and send them out to remote trading partners
    - IP_IN_QUEUE is used by B2B to put the messages it has received from remote trading partners to be consumed by Internal Applications.
Note that these are not used for communication between trading partners.
For External Communication, B2B has support for various channels such as HTTP, FTP, File etc. and some transport exchange protocols such as AS2 (EDIINT), RNIF (RosettaNet Messages), ebMS, MLLP etc. Typically with EDI documents such as X12 docs, one would you EDI over Internet (AS2) or use generic transports such as File or FTP.
If you run Tutorial 3 (given in the B2B User Guide), it sets up X12 (850, 855, 997) over Internet (AS2). Please try and run this scenario for understand B2B.
Please note for this you would require two separate B2B machines.
After running the Tutorial, you can try to configure BPEL to enqueue and dequeue the messages instead of using the enq and deq scripts. Please note that one BPEL instance should be connected to one B2B instance eg. Acme (as per the tutorial) instance. You could create one process that will Enqueue the message into Acme and a second that will Dequeue the message from Acme.
The BPEL - B2B Outbound message flow is as follows
    - BPEL picks message from Oracle APPS or any other internal application
    - BPEL will convert this to 850 format.
    - BPEL will enqueue the message into B2B. This message goes into IP_OUT_QUEUE and will be shown as an entry in the IP_QTAB. (Note both inbound and outbound show in IP_QTAB, and can be identified by the Q_Name column).
    - B2B checks for outbound messages i.e. for messages on IP_OUT_QUEUE.
    - B2B processes the outbound messages and send it out the pre-configured Trading Partner over delivery channel such as (HTTP, FTP, File etc).
The BPEL - B2B Inbound message flow is as follows
    - B2B receives message from a remote trading partner over some pre-configured delivery channel (HTTP, FTP, File etc).
    - B2B will process the inbound message and enqueue the message into the IP_IN_QUEUE.
    - BPEL will be checking the IP_IN_QUEUE for new messages and will pick it up once it is put in by B2B.
    - BPEL will process the message and pass it to whichever internal app the message is meant for.
Hope this helps in your understanding of B2B.
    Thanks,

  • How can I make a server differ between two or more clients?

How can I make a server differ between two or more clients?
The clients can connect and talk to the server fine, but how can I make the server talk to one, two or all clients? i.e. what would be a good way to implement this?
Currently, the server listens for connections like this:
    while (listening) {
    try {
    new ServerThread(this, serverSocket.accept()).start();
I guess one way would be to add the ServerThreads to a Hashtable with the client ID as key, and then get the ServerThread with the proper client ID, but this seems unnecessary complicated. Any ideas?

Complicated was perhaps the wrong word, I should have
written something like it doesn't "feel" right. Or is
this a common and good way to solve communication
between a server and multiple clients?Thats pretty much how I do it. I normally use an array or ArrayList of Sockets instead of HashTable, with [0] being the first player etc.... Then you can communicate with exactly who you want. If you want to send bytes to all of them, just send the same thing to each socket individually (or is there a better way to do this?).

    Regards,
    Divya

Thanks Sinkar for your interest in this issue.
We have tested with the Timestamp Configuration what you have suggested but still the issue is existing.
Infact we tried without Minimum Age as well then also B2B is unable to pick the File from remote through FTP Listening channel.
We are having 7 FTP Listening channel and 1 SFTP listening channels for 8 TP's and out of that 2 are working as expected. it is strange that how come other Listening channels are working with the same configuration.
Though we are able to FTP through putty to all the remote channels but strangely only two listening channels are working from B2B and rest not.
Below is the log we tried with Minimum age option and the Timestamp configuration you have provided:
    Dirty:true

JMS Internal Error at Server Client Adapter!JMS Service is not started
The following hosts could not be reached 143:223:221:10:50310
We are trying to send the request from SONICMQ JMS to R/3 and trying to post the response to Sonic Queue. but we are facing some problems for JMS adapter .
but in JMS sender and receiver adapter i gave different IP and port for listen the SONIC queue. why it is showing in different IP here? this message got from logviewer.
    regards
    Rambarki...

    Rambarki,
What is the error displayed on the Adapter Monitoring pages?
Generally the correct error descriptions for connectivity issues are found on adapter monitoring UI than any other.
Other possible reasons could be :
    <i>JMS Service is not started
The following hosts could not be reached 143:223:221:10:50310</i> This might be issue with your network settings i.e. XI server is unable to reach the specified IP on specified port.

  • Diff between at-new and on-change of in loop events

diff between <b>at-new</b> and <b>on-change of</b> in loop events

    Hello,
    <b>ON CHANGE OF f.
Normally, you use the statement to manipulate database fields during GET events or SELECT/ENDSELECT processing.
    AT NEW
There are special control structures for processing control breaks in LOOP s on internal tables or extract datasets (AT).</b>
    ON CHANGE OF f.
Executes the processing block enclosed by the "ON CHANGE OF f" and "ENDON" statements whenever the contents of the field f change (control break processing).
Normally, you use the statement to manipulate database fields during GET events or SELECT/ENDSELECT processing.
ON CHANGE OF is unsuitable for recognizing control levels in loops of this type because it always creates a global auxiliary field which is used to check for changes. This global auxiliary field is only changed in the relevant ON CHANGE OF statement. It is not reset when the processing enters loops or subroutines, so unwanted effects can occur if the loop or subroutine is executed again. Also, since it is set to its initial value when created (like any other field), any ON CHANGE OF processing will be executed after the first test, unless the contents of the field concerned happen to be identical to the initial value.
    Example
    TABLES T100.
    SELECT * FROM T100 WHERE SPRSL = SY-LANGU AND
                             MSGNR < '010'
                       ORDER BY PRIMARY KEY.
      ON CHANGE OF T100-ARBGB.
        ULINE.
        WRITE: / '**', T100-ARBGB, '**'.
      ENDON.
      WRITE: / T100-MSGNR, T100-TEXT.
    ENDSELECT.
Displays all messages with their numbers in the logon language, provided the number is less than '010'.
Each time the message class changes, it is output.
    AT NEW f.
f is a field from the field group HEADER. The enclosed sequence of statements is executed if the field f occurs in the sort key of the extract dataset (and thus also in the field group HEADER) and the field f or a superior sort criterion has a different value in the current LOOP line than in the preceding (AT NEW) or subsequent (AT END OF) record of the extract dataset.
If f is not an assigned field symbol, the control break criterion is ignored, and the subsequent sequence of statements is not executed. If a field symbol is assigned, but does not point to the HEADER field group, the system triggers a runtime error.
    Example
    DATA: NAME(30),
          SALES TYPE I.
    FIELD-GROUPS: HEADER, INFOS.
    INSERT: NAME  INTO HEADER,
            SALES INTO INFOS.
    LOOP.

  • Hi guru's what is the diff between for all entries & joins

hi guru's what is the diff between for all entries & joins

    Hi Vasu,
Joins are used to fetch data fast from Database tables:
Tables are joined with the proper key fields to fetch the data properly.
    If there are no proper key fields between tables don't use Joins;
Important thing is that don't USE JOINS FOR CLUSTER tableslike BSEG and KONV.
    Only use for Transparenmt tables.
You can also use joins for the database VIews to fetch the data.
    JOINS
... FROM tabref1 [INNER] JOIN tabref2 ON cond
    Effect
The data is to be selected from transparent database tables and/or views determined by tabref1 and tabref2. tabref1 and tabref2 each have the same form as in variant 1 or are themselves Join expressions. The keyword INNER does not have to be specified. The database tables or views determined by tabref1 and tabref2 must be recognized by the ABAP Dictionary.
In a relational data structure, it is quite normal for data that belongs together to be split up across several tables to help the process of standardization (see relational databases). To regroup this information into a database query, you can link tables using the join command. This formulates conditions for the columns in the tables involved. The inner join contains all combinations of lines from the database table determined by tabref1 with lines from the table determined by tabref2, whose values together meet the logical condition (join condition) specified using ON>cond.
Inner join between table 1 and table 2, where column D in both tables in the join condition is set the same:

Output a list of all flights from Frankfurt to New York between September 10th and 20th, 2001 that are not sold out:
    DATA: DATE LIKE SFLIGHT-FLDATE,
    CARRID LIKE SFLIGHT-CARRID,
    CONNID LIKE SFLIGHT-CONNID.
    SELECT FCARRID FCONNID F~FLDATE
    INTO (CARRID, CONNID, DATE)
FROM SFLIGHT AS F INNER JOIN SPFLI AS P
    ON FCARRID = PCARRID AND
    FCONNID = PCONNID
    WHERE P~CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
    AND P~CITYTO = 'NEW YORK'
    AND F~FLDATE BETWEEN '20010910' AND '20010920'
    AND FSEATSOCC < FSEATSMAX.
    WRITE: / DATE, CARRID, CONNID.
    ENDSELECT.
If there are columns with the same name in both tables, you must distinguish between them by prefixing the field descriptor with the table name or a table alias.
    Note
In order to determine the result of a SELECT command where the FROM clause contains a join, the database system first creates a temporary table containing the lines that meet the ON condition. The WHERE condition is then applied to the temporary table. It does not matter in an inner join whether the condition is in the ON or WHEREclause. The following example returns the same solution as the previous one.
    Example
Output of a list of all flights from Frankfurt to New York between September 10th and 20th, 2001 that are not sold out:
    DATA: DATE LIKE SFLIGHT-FLDATE,
    CARRID LIKE SFLIGHT-CARRID,
    CONNID LIKE SFLIGHT-CONNID.
    SELECT FCARRID FCONNID F~FLDATE
    INTO (CARRID, CONNID, DATE)
FROM SFLIGHT AS F INNER JOIN SPFLI AS P
    ON FCARRID = PCARRID
    WHERE FCONNID = PCONNID
    AND P~CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
    AND P~CITYTO = 'NEW YORK'
    AND F~FLDATE BETWEEN '20010910' AND '20010920'
    AND FSEATSOCC < FSEATSMAX.
    WRITE: / DATE, CARRID, CONNID.
    ENDSELECT.
    Note
Since not all of the database systems supported by SAP use the standard syntax for ON conditions, the syntax has been restricted. It only allows those joins that produce the same results on all of the supported database systems:
Only a table or view may appear to the right of the JOIN operator, not another join expression.
Only AND is possible in the ON condition as a logical operator.
Each comparison in the ON condition must contain a field from the right-hand table.
If an outer join occurs in the FROM clause, all the ON conditions must contain at least one "real" JOIN condition (a condition that contains a field from tabref1 amd a field from tabref2.
    Note
In some cases, '*' may be specified in the SELECT clause, and an internal table or work area is entered into the INTO clause (instead of a list of fields). If so, the fields are written to the target area from left to right in the order in which the tables appear in the FROM clause, according to the structure of each table work area. There can then be gaps between table work areas if you use an Alignment Request. For this reason, you should define the target work area with reference to the types of the database tables, not simply by counting the total number of fields. For an example, see below:
    Variant 3
... FROM tabref1 LEFT [OUTER] JOIN tabref2 ON cond
    Effect
Selects the data from the transparent database tables and/or views specified in tabref1 and tabref2. tabref1 und tabref2 both have either the same form as in variant 1 or are themselves join expressions. The keyword OUTER can be omitted. The database tables or views specified in tabref1 and tabref2 must be recognized by the ABAP-Dictionary.
In order to determine the result of a SELECT command where the FROM clause contains a left outer join, the database system creates a temporary table containing the lines that meet the ON condition. The remaining fields from the left-hand table (tabref1) are then added to this table, and their corresponding fields from the right-hand table are filled with ZERO values. The system then applies the WHERE condition to the table.

    BOOKING-BOOKID)
FROM SCUSTOM LEFT OUTER JOIN SBOOK
    ON SCUSTOMID = SBOOKCUSTOMID AND
    SBOOK~FLDATE = '20011015'
    ORDER BY SCUSTOMNAME SBOOKFLDATE.
    WRITE: / CUSTOMER-NAME, CUSTOMER-POSTCODE, CUSTOMER-CITY,
    BOOKING-FLDATE, BOOKING-CARRID, BOOKING-CONNID,
    BOOKING-BOOKID.
    ENDSELECT.
If there are columns with the same name in both tables, you must distinguish between them by prefixing the field descriptor with the table name or using an alias.
    Note
For the resulting set of a SELECT command with a left outer join in the FROM clause, it is generally of crucial importance whether a logical condition is in the ON or WHERE condition. Since not all of the database systems supported by SAP themselves support the standard syntax and semantics of the left outer join, the syntax has been restricted to those cases that return the same solution in all database systems:
Only a table or view may come after the JOIN operator, not another join statement.
The only logical operator allowed in the ON condition is AND.
Each comparison in the ON condition must contain a field from the right-hand table.
Comparisons in the WHERE condition must not contain a field from the right-hand table.
The ON condition must contain at least one "real" JOIN condition (a condition in which a field from tabref1 as well as from tabref2 occurs).
    Note
In some cases, '*' may be specivied as the field list in the SELECT clause, and an internal table or work area is entered in the INTO clause (instead of a list of fields). If so, the fields are written to the target area from left to right in the order in which the tables appear in the llen in der FROM clause, according to the structure of each table work area. There can be gaps between the table work areas if you use an Alignment Request. For this reason, you should define the target work area with reference to the types of the database tables, as in the following example (not simply by counting the total number of fields).
    Example
Example of a JOIN with more than two tables: Select all flights from Frankfurt to New York between September 10th and 20th, 2001 where there are available places, and display the name of the airline.
    DATA: BEGIN OF WA,
    FLIGHT TYPE SFLIGHT,
    PFLI TYPE SPFLI,
    CARR TYPE SCARR,
    END OF WA.
    SELECT * INTO WA
FROM ( SFLIGHT AS F INNER JOIN SPFLI AS P
    ON FCARRID = PCARRID AND
    FCONNID = PCONNID )
    INNER JOIN SCARR AS C
    ON FCARRID = CCARRID
    WHERE P~CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
    AND P~CITYTO = 'NEW YORK'
    AND F~FLDATE BETWEEN '20010910' AND '20010920'
    AND FSEATSOCC < FSEATSMAX.
    WRITE: / WA-CARR-CARRNAME, WA-FLIGHT-FLDATE, WA-FLIGHT-CARRID,
    WA-FLIGHT-CONNID.
    ENDSELECT.
    And for all entries,
    this will help u.
    use of FOR ALL ENTRIES:
    1. INNER JOIN
    DBTAB1 <----
    > DBTAB2
It is used to JOIN two DATABASE tables
    having some COMMON fields.
    2. Whereas
    For All Entries,
    DBTAB1 <----
    > ITAB1
is not at all related to two DATABASE tables.
It is related to INTERNAL table.
    3. If we want to fetch data
    from some DBTABLE1
    but we want to fetch
    for only some records
which are contained in some internal table,
then we use for alll entries.
    1. simple example of for all entries.
    2. NOTE THAT
    In for all entries,
it is NOT necessary to use TWO DBTABLES.
    (as against JOIN)
    3. use this program (just copy paste)
    it will fetch data
    from T001
FOR ONLY TWO COMPANIES (as mentioned in itab)
    4
    REPORT abc.
DATA : BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
    bukrs LIKE t001-bukrs,
    END OF itab.
DATA : t001 LIKE TABLE OF t001 WITH HEADER LINE.
    itab-bukrs = '1000'.
    APPEND itab.
    itab-bukrs = '1100'.
    APPEND itab.
    SELECT * FROM t001
    INTO TABLE t001
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN itab
    WHERE bukrs = itab-bukrs.
    LOOP AT t001.
    WRITE :/ t001-bukrs.
    ENDLOOP.
    cheers,

  • Diff between at line selection and HIDE technique

    hi all,
wht is the diff between at-line-selection and HIDE technique.
            wht r code instructor
            wht is extended testing
how can we find selected error records in session                          method ex:-if there r errors in 4th 9th 13th record.
    tthnx in advance

    HIDE
    Syntax
    HIDE dobj.
    Effect
This statement stores - in the current list level - the content of the variable dobj together with the current list line whose line number is contained in sy-linno. The data type of the variables dobj must be flat and no field symbols can be specified that point to rows of internal tables, and no class attributes can be specified. The stored values can be read as follows:
For each user action in a displayed screen list that leads to a list result, all the row values stored using HIDE - that is, the row on which the screen cursor is positioned at the time of the event - are assigned to the respective variables.
If a list row of an arbitrary list level is read or modified using the statements READ LINE or MODIFY LINE, all the values of this row stored using HIDE are assigned to the respective variables.
    Notes
The HIDE statement works independently of whether the list cursor was set. In particular, variables for empty list rows can be stored - that is, rows in which the list cursor was positioned using statements like SKIP.
The HIDE statement should be executed immediately at the statement that has set the list cursor in the row.
Outside of classes, constants and literals that cannot be read in list results and in the statement READ LINE can be specified for dobj outside of classes.
    Example
Storing square numbers and cubic numbers for a list of numbers. The example shows that arbitrary variables can be stored independently of row content. In the real situation, one would more likely store only the number and execute the calculation, when required, in the the event block for AT LINE-SELECTION.
    REPORT ...
    DATA: square TYPE i,
          cube   TYPE i.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      FORMAT HOTSPOT.
      DO 10 TIMES.
        square = sy-index ** 2.
        cube   = sy-index ** 3.
        WRITE / sy-index.
        HIDE: square, cube.
      ENDDO.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
      WRITE: square, cube.
    AT LINE-SELECTION
    Syntax
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
    Effect
This statement defines an event block whose event is triggered by the ABAP runtime environment during the display of a screen list - provided the scren cursor is on a list line and you select a function using the function code PICK. Through the definition of this event block, the standard list status is automatically enhanced in such a way that the function code F2 and, with it, the double-click mouse function is linked up to the function code PICK.
    Note
If the function key F2 is linked with a function code different than PICK, each double click will trigger its even, usually AT USER-COMMAND, and not AT LINE-SELECTION.
    Example
This program works with the standard list status. A line selection with the left mouse key causes the event AT LINE-SELECTION and creates details lists.
    REPORT demo_at_line_selection.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
WRITE 'Click me!' COLOR = 5 HOTSPOT.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
WRITE: / 'You clicked list', sy-listi,
/ 'You are on list',  sy-lsind.
      IF sy-lsind < 20.
        SKIP.
        WRITE: 'More ...' COLOR = 5 HOTSPOT.
      ENDIF.
    Thanks,

  • Hi gurus what is the diff between free & refresh

hi gurus what is the diff between free & refresh

    Hii!
      FREE f.
    Effect
FREE f has the same effect as CLEAR f , namely that a Data object f is reset to the initial value corresponding to its type.
Unlike CLEAR, FREE also releases any resources taken up by the data object f. FREE can also release more resources than CLEAR for table work areas declared using the TABLES statement.
After FREE f, the data object f can be re-addressed at any time. The only condition is that you may need to re-allocate resources to the object.
    Note
If f is an internal table with header line (where the name f in a sense has two meanings) the statement FREE f refers to the body of the table, and the statement CLEAR f refers to the header line.
    REFRESH itab.
    Effect
The internal table itab is reset to its initial state, i.e. all table entries are deleted.
Der Return Code SY-SUBRC is undefined.
    Notes
The header entry of a table with a header line remains unchanged. It can be reset to its initial value using CLEAR.
FREE itab can be used to free up the memory allocated to the table.
    Note
    Performance:
The runtime required to reset an internal table depends on the amount of memory previously occupied by that table.
Resetting a small internal table takes around 15 msn (standard microseconds). Resetting a 200 KB table takes around 400 msn, and a 1 MB table, around 3000 msn.
If the internal table has an index or a hash table (because it was edited using INSERT, DELETE, SORT or COLLECT), the runtime increases slightly, since the index or hash table has to be released as well as the table itself.
    Regards
    Abhijeet

  • Diff between the J2ee port, webdispatcher port and ICM port

    HI All,
Can some one please explain the diff between the web dispatcher port and J2ee port, I am able to under stand the diff between the web dispatcher port and the ICM port. What I understood is that all the requests will be passed to ICM through the web dispatcher , but what is the j2ee port refers ?
    Thanks & Regard
    Rajesh Meda

    Hi Rajesh,
The Webdispatcher,ICM servers as services to reach the ABAP and Java stack respectively. ICM is thread oriented.
Any communication flows through Webdispatcher ---> ICM ---> ABAP/Java Stack.
Every instance has a ICM process in it. Webdispatcher is mainly used for load balancing and to be placed in DMZ zone for more protection of the communication channel. All the communication happens via port . Each of the service can be reached by independent ports or via Webdispatcher>ICM> J2ee.
Like direct port for J2ee we also have direct port for ABAP message server.
Hope this clarrifies. Kindly let me know in case of further queries.
