  • Difference between sales order schedule line and item level data

    Hi All,
Could you please let me know what is the difference between sales order schedule line and item level data?
    Thanks,
    Ramya

    Hi Ramya,
Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc.,  ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery.  The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group, billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

  • How to get Open Balance for the year and Total Ending Balance?

For a given account, how to get Open Balance for the year (Cumulative Ending Balance) and Total Ending Balance (Cumulative Ending Balance)?
Is there any function module available? or should I read from some tables? Please advice.

    Hello Paul,
You could try calling one of the following BAPIs - see which one meets your requirement. They are documented well so shouldn't be a problem finding out the correct one for your requirements.
    BAPI_GL_GETGLACCBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_GETGLACCCURRENTBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETCURRENTBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETPERIODBALANCES
    BAPI_COND_VAL_DECRE_BALANCES
You might have to put in some of your own logic after the BAPI call to get what you want.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,

  • Difference between Low level and Normal IMAQ ?

There are two options in IMAQ palette a low level and a normal one. Both have the same function names and the same icons the only difference being the balck and white icon of low level functions and colored icons of the normal functions. What is the difference between these two and what is the need of making a low level palette of functions ?

  • DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SINGLE LEVEL AND MULTI LEVEL COSTING

    Sir,'
Please explain the difference between Single Level and Multi Level Costing in Detail
    thanking You

While using material ledger, we can use the single level or multi-level price determination for valuation of inventory.
Procurement processes are used in Product Cost Controlling to determine procurement costs and to present those costs. Purchase Order, for example, is single-level procurement and Production is multilevel procurement.
Single-level material price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price and the cumulative single-level differences of the period are taken into account. Single-level material price determination takes into account the differences that arise directly when a material is procured.
Multilevel price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price, the single-level differences cumulated in the period, the differences between planned and actual prices, as well as input material differences (multilevel differences) are all taken into account.
Single-level material price determination  is a prerequisite for Multi-level price determination.

  • Difference between free slack and total slack

    Hi
I am using MSP professional 2010. I have a doubt in it how can differentiate free slack and total slack.
While scheduling the project total slack is always same as the free slack in Activity. And always 0 at summary task level

Free Slack is the number of days that an activity can have before it starts delaying the next (successor) activity.
Total Slack is the number of days that activity can have before it starts
    delaying the whole project.
If you look at the snapshot below ID 4 have Total Slack of 4 days but no Free Slack (as it doesn't have any intermediate Successor other then the last task of the Project which is driving the Project Finish Date) but Total Slack of 4days.
Total Slack of 4d is showing that it has buffer of 4 days before it finally delay the over-all project finish date.

  • Difference b/w mat level and Sku level in AFS

    hi
in AFS terminology what does the term  material level and SKU level mean? and what does SKU valve mean?

    Hi
AFS materials are attached with Grids in which using characteristics ,dimensional values are entered.
Ex Shirt is manufactured in different sizes say L,XL,S,M and colours say blue, green and white.
Size and colour as used as dimensions(characters)and l,xl,blue... used as dimensional values.
If stock of shirt is say 25 pcs.out of which L Blue is 10 and XL green is 15 pcs.
When we note stock at material level ,we say as 25
at Grid level we say L BLUE shirt is 10 pcs which SKU level.
    Hope I am clear.

  • Difference between New G/L Segment and Profitability Segment

    Dear friends,
Can somebody explain what is the difference between New G/L segment and Profitability segment.
    Thanks, Prakash

    Hi,
Segment in New G/L is puerly for external reporting purpose.A segment is a sub area of a company for which has separate financial data and which has expenses and losses. For this segment we need virtually complete balance sheet for external reporting purpose.
Profitability segment is for analysis of profit within the organisation.A Profitability segment is a combination of different characteristic for which we want to analyse sales revenue and cost. These characteristic can be any thing for example customer, product, sales organisation etc.
For example We want to analyse what is the total sales of product A for customer group B under the sales organisation XYZ. Here profitability segment = Product+customer group +sales organisation

    Regards;
I discover the same thing.  The camera on my N9 has a more accurate white balance while the camera on my friend's tend to capture greenish picture.  We compare the picture in the same computer to make sure it is not the difference in screens.  We use exactly the same setting when capture the photo.  If he uses the autofix function to edit his photo, his will looks similar to mine.  Also, in low light condition, his photo has much more noise while my seems to be better.  The difference between two units is pretty noticable.
The screen is also different.  If we adjust the screen brightness to the same level and expose the phone in exact the same light condition, his screen is lighter than mine.  Also, the building quality is sort of different between these two units.  The volumn rocker and power button in my N9 is fairly firm while his is kind of loose.  His screen merges more tight into the body while mine has a larger gap.  It is pretty easy to see by naked eye.
It seems there is some variation between units and some of the difference is definitely noticable.  I am not sure it is normal or not.  Anyway, just provide the information.

  • What is the difference between a tablespace, a segment and an extent ?

What is the difference between a tablespace, a segment and an extent ? Please explain in layman terms since I'm a total newbie to Oracle.
    Regards
    Gony

    Hi,
These are logical structure of database
    1. Tablespace : A database is divided into logical storage units called tablespaces, which group related logical structures together. For example, tablespaces commonly group together all application objects to simplify some administrative operations.
    2.Segments
Above extents, the level of logical database storage is a segment. A segment is a set of extents allocated for a certain logical structure. The following table describes the different types of segments.
    Segment Description
    Data segment
Each nonclustered table has a data segment. All table data is stored in the extents of the data segment.
For a partitioned table, each partition has a data segment.
Each cluster has a data segment. The data of every table in the cluster is stored in the cluster's data segment.
    Index segment
Each index has an index segment that stores all of its data.
For a partitioned index, each partition has an index segment.
    Temporary segment
Temporary segments are created by Oracle when a SQL statement needs a temporary work area to complete execution. When the statement finishes execution, the extents in the temporary segment are returned to the system for future use.
    Rollback segment
If you are operating in automatic undo management mode, then the database server manages undo space using tablespaces. Oracle Corporation recommends that you use "Automatic Undo Management" management.
    3. Extents
The next level of logical database space is an extent. An extent is a specific number of contiguous data blocks, obtained in a single allocation, used to store a specific type of information.

Oracle does not support REPEATABLE READ transaction isolation level. It only supports SERIALIZABLE, READ COMMITED and READ ONLY isolation levels.
    The default is READ COMMITED.
While the READ COMMITED can access all the committed data till the point of execution in transaction, READ SERIALIZABLE can access committed data till the point of start of transaction.
Another difference between two with respect to ROW LEVEL LOCKING is
Both read committed and serializable transactions use row-level locking, and both will wait if they try to change a row updated by an uncommitted concurrent transaction. The second transaction that tries to update a given row waits for the other transaction to commit or roll back and release its lock. If that other transaction rolls back, the waiting transaction, regardless of its isolation mode, can proceed to change the previously locked row as if the other transaction had not existed.
However, if the other blocking transaction commits and releases its locks, a read committed transaction proceeds with its intended update. A serializable transaction, however, fails with the error "Cannot serialize access", because the other transaction has committed a change that was made since the serializable transaction began.
Read following for clearing your concepts on transaction isolation levels and locking mechanisms
