Difference between Applescript for Intel & PPC?

Well little did I know I'd want to write an Applescript for PowerPC again, but after updating to Lion, I forgot to keep a copy of Applescript Editor hanging around on my 10.4.11 partition.     I noticed the Applescripts I wrote for 10.6.8 and earlier wouldn't work in Lion, and I had to recompile them with the Script Editor in Lion. Now I have a new Applescript I wish to write for Snow Leopard and earlier, but can't since I don't have my old Snow Leopard or earlier Script Editor.
1. Is there a place I can download the Applescript Editor itself for 10.4.11
2. Do I have to extract the program from my 10.4 installer discs for my iMac 5,1 with Pacifist?
3. Could I do something with Textwrangler to edit my script so it is an application that runs on Rosetta and PowerPC?
Thank you.

The compiled scripts should not differ, just the single-file application format - script applications are now saved as applicaion bundles like everything else.

  • Difference between batarries for Macbook air A1245 and A1237?

Hello. Is there any difference between batarries for Macbook air A1245 and A1237(the very first air)? I often see ads in Internet where baterries are described like *for A1245/A1237*. Please, help.

So, just to make it clear. What is a1245? I know that there is no such MBA, but why people mark batteries as *a1245/a1237*?
If I buy battery marked *a1245/a1237*, will it work? See an example http://www.ebay.com/itm/Battery-for-Apple-MacBook-Air-13-A1245-A1237-MB003-MC233 -MC233LL-A-MC234-A1304-/300934966726

  • Difference between mastered for iTunes and previous versions?

Is there a noticeable difference between Mastered for iTunes albums and any previous versions? I purchased Bon Jovi's "Have A Nice Day (Special Edition)", and now it has been replaced with a Mastered for iTunes version. Is there any value or noticeable difference if I were to purchase the new version?

One of the inexpensive compilation downloads I purchased on iTunes was terrible, I'd much rather listen to the original mix of " I had too much to dream last night" than the remaster, which destroyed the song completely.
Well, there is really no way to improve on the sound of The Electric Prunes coming over an AM transistor radio!
I guess I'm suspicious of iTunes files in general. I am a dying breed, using separate amps and pre-amps and real speakers as well as Ultimate Ear earbuds and a great car system. The cuts that are engineered for iTunes are mixed for lo-fidelity appliances and just don't sound that good.
There are online download stores that cater to a more audiophile crowd.  Check out HD Tracks.

  • What is the difference between mp4 for iphone and mp4 for ipod ?

I have converted some videos to mp4 and there is a choice to convert to iphone or ipod.
But what is the difference between them ?
It cant just be something simple like screen size / resolution.
Because I have some mp4 videos that will sync with itunes onto my iphone, but not onto my ipod 5th gen.
Do you have to have both types of mp4 videos, one for the iphone and one for the ipod ?
If so then thats a right pain the in arse.
I would have thought mp4 is mp4 and would work on both the iphone and the ipod ?

There is no difference because as you said Java is platform independenec. However, the installer is platform-dependent so we needed to package the Beans differently.
All the java classes and libraries are identical

  • Differences between CC for Mac and CC for Windows

    Hello,
I just read here in the forum that possibilities regarding app-making in InDesign are limited when you are a Windows user. Seems like the "Create App"-possibility is for mac users only. Terry White made a very good video about app-making, but failed to mention that you needed not only CC (or CS6), but also a Mac.
Be that as it may, I would like to know if there is a list somewhere, describing in detail the differences between possibilities and options on CC for Windows compared to CC on a Mac.
And - if there is no list, can anyone tell me the differences?
    Regards,
    MikHva

Thanks for the answer. I can see that I messed up formulating the last entry - what we are about to do is upgrade from CS6 to CC.
Maybe you could help me with a related question. The last few days I have been searching for alternatives to builing my apps in InDesign, and I turned to Dreamweaver. I copied the CSS  from InDesign to dreamweaver, fixed the content and made my app work through my 1 phonegap build-project (the InDesign version looked better, though) - but getting on fra Dreamweaver to Android and iOS involves Phonegap.
I can see that Adobe has developed the Adobe Phonegap Build. Is that a program (app) that I can acces after subscribing to the Creative Cloud? A friend of mine has the CC-version and I asked if she had acces to install Adobe Phonegap Build, but it was not on her list of programs to install.
    - As things look right now we might be going for a Pro or Enterprise version - but I haven't figured out the difference between the two yet - I've been busy with Dreamweaver.
    Sincerely and with thanks,
    MikHva

  • Is there a noticable difference between G5 and Intel Core 2 Duo-processor?

    Just wondering...
I have a G5 iMac and came across the Intel Core 2 Duo-processor 24" 2.66GHz. Will I notice a big difference between these 2 models?
    André

    I swapped from a G5 2.1MHz iSight with 2.5GB RAM to 2009 iMac 24" 2.66 MHz with 4GB of DDR3.
    The difference was HUGE.
Now with Snow Leopard as well things have only got faster (or appear to at least)
The whole system is more responsive, less spinning beach ball and rendering a 40 minute TV programme to MP4 only takes about 2 minutes!
I used to have time to make a cup of coffee and catch the news headlines!
    Enjoy the new machine.

  • Difference between roles for PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE & COMMODITY MANAGER

    Hi
What is the technical and funcational differences between the roles SAP_XA_PROCUREMENT_EXECUTIVE and SAP_XA_COMMODITY_MANAGER?
When doing role comparision in backend BW there is no difference, Moreover in PFCG upon checking the authorization data for respective roles there are no authorization objects
    Regards
    Neel

    Hi Neel,
There is no technical difference between the 2 roles.
Like Ricardo mentioned they are used for differentiating functional / business roles.  So one role could give access to a sub-set of reports & dashboards and the other role could have access to a completely different set of reports & dashboards.  To control this access in the SPM application you would create different folders where you would store the reports & dashboards and then tie the roles to these SPM folders, when users are granted the roles they would be able to see the appropriate folders.

    Rohit

  • Difference between release for Transport and Export

    Hi,
can anybody tell me the difference between the release for Transport of a change list and the Export Design Object ? When a change list is released is it not possible to select File System as mode or CMS ?
    Thx.

These relate to how your transport system is configured.
If you use FTP you cannot release for transport, and if you have CMS, I don;t beleive you can FTP.

  • Difference between BPC for MS and BPC for NW

    Hi All,
I'm looking for some comparative analysis between BPC for MS and BPC for NW. Can you please give me your points or direct me to some link/material where I can find such stuff.
Primarily I'm focusing on following two points:
    - How would the integration to SAP BI work (=differences between SAP BPC (NW) and SAP BPC (MS))?
Could the same degree of automation be established?
    - I was told that  SAP BPC (MS) could be much faster implemented than the NW version. Is this really the case? Why?
I would really appreciate your earliest response.
    Regards,
    Shabbar

    Hi,
BPC for MS runs on Microsoft platform where as BPC for NW runs on SAP Netweaver.
BPC for NW is tightly integrated with SAP BI all the dimensions and applications created in BPC NW can be seen in BI system in the form of Infoobject (dimensions) and Infocubes (applications).
Performance depends on the complexity and scalability of the project. BPC for NW may undergo lots of improvements and developments in future versions.
search SDN u will get help.
    Hope this helps

  • Difference Between Insertions for Div Tags

    Hi,
What is the difference between "after tag" or "after the start of tag" when inserting a div tag?
Is one included in the same "container" (div tag) and the other one just "follows" after the previous div tag?
    Thanks,
    njdesigner1944

"after tag" inserts your div after the closing tag of the choosen div. The "after start tag" inserts the new div after the right after the tag you choose and before the close tags.
    ie.
Lets say you want to insert a new div called #container with a #mainWrap div already on the page.
    "after tag"
    <div id="mainWrap"></div>
    <div id="container"></div>
as you see it inserts after the closing div tag of #mainWrap
    "after start of tag"
    <div id="mainWrap"><div id="container"></div></div>
as you see it inserts #container after the start tag and before the close tag of # mainWrap

  • Difference between SKFs for Cost Centers and Profit Centers

    Dear All,
Three cost centers A,B and C have two profit centers say X and Y assigned. When we run SKFs report for Cost Centers - S_ALR_87013645 total for all the Cost centers is say 30 (81210). When I run the report S_ALR_87013342 for Profit Centers SKF break down total is 30. However break up is not matching. Cost Center A and B have Profit Center X and C has Profit Center Y. Ideally in PCs break down for SKFs must be X = 20 and Y=10. However this is not the case. Total is tallying but the break up is not tallying. Y has total of say 25.
Cost Center C has profit center assignment changed in the middle of the year. Is the difference because of changing the PC assignment to CC in the middle of the year/in between? Do we need to adjust the SKF numbers for incorrect PCs in 9KE5?
Is there any other way to correct the difference instead of posting in 9KE5? Please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Satya

  • Difference between " COMPRESS FOR ALL OPERATIONS" and "COMPRESS FOR OLTP"?

I was looking through Oracle's OLTP Table Compression (11g onwards) documentation as well as online resources to find the syntax and came across two different versions:
    COMPRESS FOR ALL OPERATIONS
    and
    COMPRESS FOR OLTP
The documentation I looked through didn't mention any alternative syntax, so i was wondering if anyone here might know the difference.
    Thank you!

Table Compression Enhancements in Oracle Database 11G Rel1 as as follows:
The compression clause can be specified at the tablespace, table or partition level with the following options:
•NOCOMPRESS - The table or partition is not compressed. This is the default action when no compression clause is specified.
•COMPRESS - This option is considered suitable for data warehouse systems. Compression is enabled on the table or partition during direct-path inserts only.
•COMPRESS FOR DIRECT_LOAD OPERATIONS - This option has the same affect as the simple COMPRESS keyword.
•COMPRESS FOR ALL OPERATIONS - This option is considered suitable for OLTP systems. As the name implies, this option enables compression for all operations, including regular DML statements. This option requires the COMPATIBLE initialization parameter to be set to 11.1.0 or higher.
