Difference between Reports in normal ABAP and Reports in CRM

Hi Experts,
I am new to CRM. Can someone tell me the Difference between Reports in normal ABAP and Reports in CRM.
It will be very useful if someone explains with example.
Some where in SDN i read in CRM we should not select statment. Then how to fetch data?
Please give me more basic concepts about CRM programming.
Thanks,
RAGU

Hi Ragu,
You can find much information at http://service.sap.com/crm-inst.
Go to Installation & Upgrade Guides -> SAP Business Suite Applications -> SAP CRM
Check the CRM version in which you are working and get the documents.
FMs are specific to the requirement. Like all Business Partner related FMs generally start with BUPA* or BAPI_BUPA*.
For CRM transaction data you can get info using FM CRM_ORDER_READ. To create a new transaction use CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN and CRM_ORDER_SAVE.
More information can be fetched by surfing through the SDN threads and checking in SE37 t-code.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Saumya

  • Difference between Reporting Services Sharepoint Mode and Reporting Services Add In for Sharepoint 2013

Hi, We are building company site with Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise Edition and were wondering what is the difference between Reporting Services Sharepoint Mode and Reporting Services Add In for Sharepoint 2013? What are the roles/purposes of each one? What
happens if only Reporting Services Sharepoint Mode  installed or vise versa.
    Thank you in advance

Reporting Services in SharePoint mode is a service for displaying, managing, and creating SSRS reports within SharePoint. The addin is a pre-req for SharePoint that is used to display reports and is required for Reporting Services in Native or SharePoint
mode, but does not by itself do anything.

  • Difference between After parameter Form Trigger and before Report Trigger

    hi,
Can some one tell me difference between After parameter form Trigger and Before parameter trigger.
Why do we need both these trigger , why can't we use any one of them because after parameter trigger will obviously fire before report trigger and similarly before report trigger will fire after parameter form.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hi,
    i will make it clear..!
Actually, we have four type of triggers in reports..!
Before Parameter -- fires before params are suppied to the calling report..
After Parameter -- fires after params are suppied to the calling report..
Before Report -- fires before report is generated..
After Report. -- fires after report is generated..
Before Report and After Report triggers are used for formatting the report design..
like u can specify a report to be displayed based on a condition in the Before
Report trigger and u can specify some backend updations in the after report trigger
which fires after report is generated..

  • Difference between F.35 Receivables amount and FBL5N report open items

    Hi All,
There is an amount difference between f.35 receivables amount and fbl5n open items amount, I have observed that there are some changes to credit master like risk category and credit representative group, so I thought if we run f.28 it will be right but still difference exits.
If anybody has come across similar issue or if you have any idea on this on how to analyze, please let me know.
    Regards,
    RK.

    Hi ,
Please check the time horizon in credit check used. then compare it with FBL5n.
May be there will be difference in comparison period.
Program RFDKLI20 or F.28 is to run when there is changes in Assignment from company code, entry in customer master data, entry in sales area data, user exit., currency of credit control area , Assignment of customers to credit accounts.
    And
Program RVKRED09.--> only the risk class was changed it is sufficient to run

  • Difference between checking Objects in SU24 and in ABAP code

    Hi all,
What is the difference between objects checked in SU24 and the objects checked in ABAP Code.
I think if objects are even checked to No in SU24 and they are in ABAP code then user is able is able to execute that object, is this correct?
and vice versa, if objects are checked to yes in su24 and not in the ABAP code then user wont be able to excute? is this correct
or what is the purpose of maintaing objects both in SU24 and in ABAP Code.
    Thanks,

This is what is known in German as a "Schwerer Geburt"... (not sure whether there is an English term which has the same meaning)...

It is context specific, when the context is known to the customer system where the code is running => You cannot activate a check in SU24 if it is not coded anywhere (please distingish between starting a transaction, using it, and navigating further from that transaction...). The only case where SAP does what you seem to be assuming (or hoping for...) is infact to turn an authority-check off in some cases or to make the calling context known when it is remote (in which case sy-tcode or the entry point context is not known)...
*It is not to turn the check on when it is not coded anywhere!!!
Perhaps you would like to phrase your final question just one more time.

  • Difference between HR Forms Smartforms sapscript and PE51

    Hai all,
Could anyone give me the exact difference between HR Forms Smartforms sapscript and PE51.
    Thanks in advance,
    S.Jenibalet.

    HR Forms
The Layout Editor can be used is Adobe Designing tool or Smart form Tool.
The HR Forms Workplace (which will be called the Forms Workplace from now
on) will enable you in future to create flexible reports with an attractive layout for HR master data,
personnel time data, and payroll results.
    Smartforms
SMARTFORMS as the SAPScript successor tool is also used to generate formatted documents which can contain logos, tables and other formatting objects. And this documents can look like a pre-printed documents that normal ABAP codes cannot possible. The SAP SmartForms replace the SAPscript forms. SAP SmartForms offer the following advantages: 1)Creating and maintaining forms requiring half the time 2) Adapting forms without any programming knowledge due to entirely graphical user interface 3) Web Publishing using the generated XML output Here you will get some SAP SMARTFORMS tutorials and PDF guides to download.
You use SAP Smart Forms to create and maintain forms for mass printing in SAP Systems. As
output medium SAP Smart Forms support a printer, a fax, e-mail, or the Internet (by using the
    generated XML output).
    sapscript
SAPSCRIPTS are used to generate formatted documents which can contain logos, tables and other formatting objects. And this documents can look like a pre printed documents that normal ABAP codes cannot possible. SAPscript comprises these five components: 1)an editor for entering and editing the lines of a text. 2)styles and forms for print layout. 3)the composer as central output module. 4)a programming interface 5)several database tables for storing texts, styles and forms. Here you will get some SAPSCRIPTS tutorials and Pdf guides to download.
    PE51
There are Limitataions for PE51.You can use only for HR module specifically for Payroll.

  • The Difference between Extending a Wireless network and WDS?

I have an Extreme (n) and an Express (n).
I want to make sure the signal is strong upstairs and share a printer (connected to the express) and use AirTunes. I also may add an external drive to the Extreme.
What's the difference between Extending a Wireless Network and using WDS? Will there be a speed difference?
Message was edited by: J. Christopher Edwards

I think you don't get it
If I have another draft N router that operates at 2.4G and I have only n devices I can still use WDS and it will connect using draft n in the 2.4G band.
If one g device connects to the network will go in mixed mode.
The AEBS will still report 130 Mbps for your n clients and 54 for your g clients.
If the other router is g only obviously you can't connect between the two router at n mode but still the AEBS will be in mixed mode and not in g. The Extreme will still report 130 Mbps for the connected n clients.
I can tell you that because I have actually implemented it am not taking off the documentation.
The same device if I try to use the "extend n network" does not even see the AEBS but will happily keep the n in the WDS mode and though the bandwidth is halved it is still more than g.
In any case enough for this!

  • Difference between New G/L Segment and Profitability Segment

    Dear friends,
Can somebody explain what is the difference between New G/L segment and Profitability segment.
    Thanks, Prakash

    Hi,
Segment in New G/L is puerly for external reporting purpose.A segment is a sub area of a company for which has separate financial data and which has expenses and losses. For this segment we need virtually complete balance sheet for external reporting purpose.
Profitability segment is for analysis of profit within the organisation.A Profitability segment is a combination of different characteristic for which we want to analyse sales revenue and cost. These characteristic can be any thing for example customer, product, sales organisation etc.
For example We want to analyse what is the total sales of product A for customer group B under the sales organisation XYZ. Here profitability segment = Product+customer group +sales organisation

  • Need Detailed description of the differences between Adobe Flash Player Plugin and Shockwave Flash

For many years now I have been in a quandry over Adobe Flash (plugin) and Shockwave flash. The quandry is also somewhat exacerbated by the variety of subsetted versions supplied for each.
You know, it is sorta like the name and namespace dilemna provided by Adobe's continuing use of "Macromedia" when sometimes referring to, or distributing, their products... eg still creating Macromedia folders during installs.
I have been told that Shockwave Flash actually contains the Flash plugins. If that is the case should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Flash version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces
a newer version of Adobe Flash.
Will you please provide me with details for, and distinctions between, these two products?
Hoping you can respond in a flash ... er... two flashes.
    Thanks

OK Thanks I silly-goofed in describing what I meant in my initial post. I needed to say what's the diff between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) (plugin) and Adobe Shockwave Player.
So will you please detail the differences between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) and Shockwave Player?
I have been told that Shockwave Player actually contains the Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) plugins. Is it both
Flash Player ActiveX control for Internet Explorer
Flash Player plugin for all other browsers
    that are contained therein?
If the above is indeed the case, should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Player version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces a newer version of Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) .
Here's where I am headed will all this:
I have been asked by one of your coworkers Chris Campbell,  to prepare an Adobe Bug report and paste back to the Adobe Forum thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4428382#4428382
Since I have Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6.4.634 and Adobe Flash (aka Adobe Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 currently installed and since
Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235 will not install without a "...The  procedure entry point ... kernel32.dll ..." error for my Windows 2000 Professional configuration
I want to uninstall Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 and the then further troubleshoot the MLB.TV media player "abnormal spinning circles" problem.
Will the MLB NexDef detector actually detect the "Flash version inside Shockwave player"?  Will the MLB.TV NexDef software actually work nicely with Shockwave Player Flash?
