  • Variable list updates in cli with cdb.vs.mod when values have spaces

    Hi -
    I keep variable lists for composite components in SVN - stored in the same format they're downloaded from the variables settings screen (don't forget to restore the missing semi-colon on the next-to-last line). Then the build scripts run this:
            cat $VARLISTFILE | gawk '
            BEGIN {
                    PREVLINE=""
                    NOTFIRSTLINE=0
                    if ( NOTFIRSTLINE ) print PREVLINE";"
                    PREVLINE=$1
                    NOTFIRSTLINE=1
            END {
                    print PREVLINE
            ' FS=';' OFS='' ORS='' > ${VARLISTFILE}.n1to put them into a format where they can be checked back into N1 like this:
            cr_cli -cmd cdb.vs.mod -of /dev/null -vs "NM:/some/path/to/component:${VARLIST}" -vars `cat ${VARLISTFILE}.n1` exp:$HOME/.n1confThis has been working great, but suddenly we ran into a new variable that has a space in it - namely it's a crontab like value:
    mailLifecycleSendSchedule=0 0 * * * ?;
    I've tried all sorts of ' " and [] combinations but can't seem to get these to work via CLI. Note that importing them from a file through the UI works just fine. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    J

    Ah - hah, it was just a simple matter of extra quotes around the offending string:
    cr_cli -cmd cdb.vs.mod -of /dev/null -vs "NM:/some/path/to/component:${VARLIST}" -vars "`cat ${VARLISTFILE}.n1`" exp:$HOME/.n1conf

  • Variable list of parameters in PL/SQL functions

    As I know, PL/SQL decode function can be called with
    variable number of parameters:
    decode (a, b, c);
    decode (a, b, c, d, e);
    decode (a, b, c, d, e, f, g);
    How is is possible to implement a PL/SQL procedure or function like decode, which is usable with a variable list
    of arguments.
    Is there another way instead of using overloading?
    Thanks in advance

    Implement it with the IF..ELSIF condition.

    Hi Veronica,
    AFAIK, there is not such a document. I have asked for it too a couple of times, but nothing. There is an old one (6.2 I think) regarding to an specific document (can´t remember which one). But nothing else.
    If someone knows about it, I´ll be very interested too.

  • Make list of names in local variable list appear in alphabetical order?

    When you select a variable name from the drop down list of a local variable the list appears to be in chronological order. Is there any to make this list appear in alphabetical order?
    George

    Hi George:
    You said that local variables list appears in chronological order, but you wanted to appear in alphabetic order.
    You just need to set apropiate names and then use SetTabbingOrder
    You can use SetTabbingOrder to order all controls and indicators of your front panel, treating every control you see in the block diagram as one
    (A cluster is one of the controls you can order, but the elements inside the cluster must be ordered with ReorderControlsInCluster right-clicking the cluster)
    Returning. To SetTabbingOrder you have to click on VI's EDIT menu and select Set Tabbing Order.
    The front panel will turn it's color to somethin darker, and every control will be shown with a number.
    That number is it's tabbing index.
    At the beginning you see a 0 in the top, that means that if you click in a control, that control will become number 0, and then the number it the top will pass to be 1, so you can select the next control in order.
    If your first 23 elements are ordered, you don't need to click all 23, you can just set the top number to 23 and continue ordering.
    When you reorder an element, all elements before that remain the same, and the rest are added by one.
    When you are don, click on OK, or discard changes with x
    This SetTabbingOrder you can do with elements in your front panel, can be done with elements into a cluster and elements into a Tab Control. Only change de name (in clusters is "Reorder controls in cluster" and in Tabs is "Reorder controls in page"), but they work the same
    You might be interested in reordering in groups than reordering alphabetically?
    Hope it helps,
    Aitortxo.

  • To install multiple software in TS via variable list

    Wanna ask, im planning to use the install multiple app using dynamic variable list in my TS to install all my software. I see that the prerequisites in the software package program have to select the "Allow this program to be installed from the Install
    Package task sequence without being deployed". Do I have to update the package once I selected this option or don't need?

    Search the Net and found someone who is using the variable value to refer to the software package name (like what im doing right now). Im using the Install Package task by selecting the "Install software packages according to dynamic list" option.
    It says for packages need to put as below.
    Baseline Variables: PackageIDs:   Program Name:
    Not sure how true is this, but if so, the variable that I should define in the collection is as below? Correct?
    Name: HPPACKAGE01:ABC00001 (package id)
    Value: DR - PRD - 3D DriveGuard (package name)

  • Alphabetized variables list in the debug pane

    How come in Director 11 it is no longer possible to sort
    variables listed in the debug window alphabetically. In previous
    versions, you could click on the tab to have the globals and
    properties sorted from a to z. This no longer works. It is really
    difficult to visually scan a long list for a particular variable
    name. Is this a bug, or is there some other way to do it?

    Put a breakpoint in the listener function for the event,
    because until, the event is dispatched, the variables do not exist.

  • Get Shared Variable List function

    I have created a Project; when I use "Get Shared Variable List" function, I'm enountering this error: "Error 1055 occurred at Property Node in Mechanical Room1.lvlib:MechRoom5.vi; Object reference is invalid". I've just connected the name of the process the shared variable is belong to. The vi is also in this Project library. I appreciate any help.

    Hi,
    I've created an example vi which should help out. It gets a list of all processes deployed, and then returns a list of variables for each of those processes.
    This should help to make sure that you are specifying a valid process name to the function, as this could be the cause of the error.
    Try running this and see if you get the same error. If you do then can you post your project files, or a smaller project that still shows the problem, and I'll take a further look at this for you.

  • How to use the "Get Shared Variable List" VI on an RT target?

    Hello,
    I'd like to programatically iterate through all the shared variables in a library hosted on my CompactRIO. I dropped the "Get Shared Variable List" VI into my Real-Time VI, but when I tried deploying it, LabVIEW said
    Deploying PRC_GetVarList.viPRC_GetVarList.vi loaded with errors on the target and was closed.
    LabVIEW: Failed to load shared library dscProc.dll:ni_lvdsc_process_GetTagListEnd:C. Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.
    LabVIEW: Failed to load shared library dscProc.dll:ni_lvdsc_process_GetTagListBegin:C. Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.
    I looked at the MAX Software Wizard, but couldn't find any DSC-related modules. Where should I be looking?
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello,
    The DSC palette is not supported on Real-Time VIs and will lead to errors when deployed.  Unfortunately, to have a successful build you will need to modify your application and remove any of the VIs from the DSC palette on your RT Target.

  • How do I write a select statement to see if table field is in variable list

    I was wondering if someone knew the best way to write a query to pull back rows where a table field is found in a a variable string.  I'm using Cold Fusion 10 on Microsoft SQL Server.
    The table has a series of fields such as
    carcode          carname
    G                Garage
    C                Carport
    A               Attached
    D               Detached
    And another query pulls back a field that stores as text all the abbreviations that apply
    I want to pull back all the carnames that would match the abbreviations stored in that field.  I thought I could use a contains line but that does not work.  How do I pull back matches against a variable string... I tried an IN statment but that didn't work.
    CFQUERY...
    Select carname from CarTable WHERE CONTAINS (carcode, '#query.carlist#') does not work.
       select carname from CarTable WHERE CONTAINS(carcode, 'G,A')
    I'm stumped.  The list of abbreviations could be very LOOOONG or short and I just need to translate those abbreviations into the full names by grabbing it from another table.  It isn't just one abbreviation so I can't use LIKE in the one to one sense.
    Thank you so much.

    If you have records with these values,
    G,A
    0
    then your first mistake is that you designed your database poorly.  Storing lists in a single field is essentially stroring unuseable data.  A one to many relationship is better.  If you don't know what that is, I've heard good things about the book, Database Design for Mere Mortals.
    Next, this syntax, #queryname.car_storage#, only returns the first record.  To get all the records, use the valuelist function.
    Next, in sql, if you have a list of strings, each one has to be quoted.  Something like this.
    where myfield in ('a', 'b', 'c')
    The best way to achieve this in ColdFusion is to use the cfqueryparam tag with the list attribute set to yes.

  • Email notification template - variable list

    Does anybody have a complete list of the variables that can be used within a notification template ? I cannot find this documented anywhere.

    $Header['From']
    $Header['To']

  • HOW to get the bind variables list.

    I've the following problem : I've some SQL queries stored in my DB as VARCHAR2 values.
    I need to use DBMS_SQL in order to execute them.
    In theese SQL statements I have some bind variables like :NUMORD. (ex. SELECT 'X' FROM YYYY WHERE FIELD_1 = :NUMORD).
    I don't know "a priori" names and number of such variables.
    Is there any way to have a list of such bind variables ?
    I found DBMS_DESCRIBE but is seems to act only on stored procedures/functions.
    I know I can tray to inspect the code looking for every ':' but a cleaner solution woulf be appreciated.

    I don't know "a priori" names and number of such variables.
    Is there any way to have a list of such bind variables ?The names are probably not important, but you can get the count (and other useful information) like this:
    SQL> var cur refcursor
    SQL> declare
        cl clob;
    begin
        dbms_lob.createtemporary (cl, true);
        sys.utl_xml.parsequery (user, 'select e.deptno, :x x from emp e where deptno = :deptno', cl);
        open :cur for select cl cl from dual union all

    I am working on  PLD for Pick list. I am not able to find the system variable for all the fields in pick list .
    When i refer the service portal, came across the 2007A system variables, which is not matching with 2007B system variables.
