Disable the my_button (not SUBMIT, EXECUTE button)

I am trying to disable my_button (regular) by usinf this.disabled = true by seeing in google, but, its not working!
Pls. let me know how to either disabel a button or invisible/hide a button, syntax pls. with syntax errors pls.

you can use this.access = "readOnly" to disable a button from clicking. You can still see the button which is not interactive.
To hide or make a button invisible, use
this.presence = "hidden" //hides the button from form
or
this.presence = "invisible" // button will be inivisible. difference is it still occupies the form space.

We can disable the "Reply" button by using Control IDs.
Please first make sure that you have installed the
Office 2010 Administrative Templates. To disable the "Reply" button, please follow the steps below:
1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
2. In the Group Policy Object Editor console, expand User Configuration, expand
Administrative Templates, and then expand Microsoft Outlook 2010.
3. Expand Disable items in User Interface, click
Custom, double-click Disable commands, and then click Enabled.
4. Click Show. In the Show Contents dialog box, enter
354 (the control ID for “Reply” button) in the Value field, and then click
OK.
5. Restart Outlook and you’ll find the “Reply” button is disabled (grayed out).

Can we disable the 'Do not send a response' option for invitations?

Our organization recently migrated to Outlook \Exchange 2010 from Lotus Notes\Domino R7.0.4. Users are getting frustrated with the many limitations, or hopefully our lack of understanding, related to calendaring in Outlook.
Current Issue:
Employees can select "Do Not Send a Response" to meeting invitations, but still accept the invitations for their personal calendars. This can be very frustrating to the invitee, who is attempting to orchestrate complex meetings, since they do not
get updates for invitees who have accepted the meeting using this option.
It is plausible that all invitees could accept a meeting, but choose not to send a response. The originator of the meeting may than cancel the meeting, thinking, "what's the point, no one accepted it". The originator or an Admin staff should have
the ability to disable the "Do not Send a Response" option or at least have the option to require a response if desired.
Additionally, when invitees do send a response, it would be nice to have an option not to see response in the form of an email, but simply as an update to the Calendar 'Attendees' status, to avoid inbox clutter.
Lotus Notes had these functions at least 10 years ago, so I'm sure we are just overlooking a setting or configuration. Any guidance Microsoft support or readers can provide would be greatly appreciated.

After adding the Office 2010 GPO templates to the domain, in Group Policy Management go to:
User Configuration / Polices / Administrative Templates / Microsoft Outlook 2010 / Disable Items in User Interface / Custom
Add the following Policy ID's: 19987, 19995 and 19991.
This will disable the three menu items "Do Not Send a Response" below the buttons Accept, Tentative and Decline. When the mouse pointer points to the disabled ("grayed out") menu item a message is shown telling the user that this menu is disabled by the
administrator.
If you are not used to the email response, simply create a rule to move all these responses to a single folder and clean them up periodically:

How to disable the assignment block's Edit button

Hi guys,
I need to disable the edit button in assignment block Parties Involved on an opportunity. Only authorised people would be able to see Edit button as enabled.
I'm not able to do this in the BTPARTNER/Partner as I don't get process id and order id in Partner view.
Kindly suggest a way to disable the EDIT button of assignment block (in display mode).

Make use of Parameter ID to set the values at Document Header page and on individual assignment block get this value to enable or disable the button.

Firefox opens but nothing shows/load in the window, not even menu buttons

I open Firefox & a window opens but nothing loads or shows up, not even menu buttons. Occasionally when you blindly click around some menus will open but options beyond that don't produce anything.
I have (not necessarily in this order):
Uninstalled Firefox, deleted all remaining folders, then reinstalled (twice).... didn't help.
Reverted PC back to before Firefox updated... didn't work.
Uninstalled, Debugged my PC, reinstalled.... didn't work.
Turned off firewalls & switched settings to make sure nothing was blocking it from working.... didn't work.
At this point, after surfing Mozilla support site & not finding anyone else having this exact issue I'm not sure what else to do. I love Firefox & want to keep using it (I HATE using Internet Explorer) but the only other solution I can think of is use Google Chrome or IE.
I have Windows 7, use McAfee, & SpyHunter. My laptop is less than 5 y.o. & I keep thing updated reg. so I don't think anything should be out of date or incompatible.

Currently in version 33, Firefox has implemented a new, faster way of loading webpages. This new feature is called OMTC. However, there are still some tweaks Mozilla developers are making to this.
There is a known issue that Mozilla works on very hard to fix: if you are experiencing black webpages on some sites, here's what you can do to avoid the problem in the meantime:
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click Help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Restart with Add-ons Disabled''.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

To disable Hardware Acceleration

I should also mention that other users with this problem had an embedded intel hd graphics card with an old driver present. Until Mozilla comes up with a fix, if you want Hardware Acceleration in Firefox, you can try to update your driver through the appropriate link below to see if that helps:

Disable the default "Start my camera" button for rtc WebcamPublisher

I notice in the samples that WebCamera displays the cam. Is there an easy way of disabling the "Start my camera" button? I wish to control this from the app itself.

I notice in the WebCamera sample that it achieves removing the default "Start my camera" button, by assigning the rtc Webcamera a width and height of 1 and manipulating these through WebCamPublisher class, but I do not see anywhere a "button" = disabled or something similar .

Ok thanks, overriding the addStartStopBtn function fortunately was a piece of cake for the WebCamera class, and that was all I needed.
I notice WebCamera is extremely advanced compared to the simpler webcamsuvscriber stuff.

How can we Hide / Disable the Help(?) and Close(x) buttons which are located in the right corner of the Top Link Bar in the Sharepoint Document Library pages as well as Excel Web Access?
Our requirement is : When we try to view the Excel Services Report from another web site, Help(?) and Close(x) icons are also appearing in the Excel Web Access Web Part, but we don't want to display them in our site.
Please let us know the solution for this case.

To hide them, you need to add the CSS into the xlviewer.aspx which stays in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS

Is there any way to DISABLE the "could not activate cellular data network" message?

This message frequently pops up while I am using any GPS app and travelling - as I enter an area with no Data coverage it appears, forcing me to respond by touching the 'OK' button. I simply want to disable the message. I know when I'm out of a coverage area. IT'S TEMPORARY! Why do I need to respond? If I am using my phone as a GPS device while on my motorcycle, wearing gloves, I CAN'T respond!!!

How do I disable the Do-Not-Track header? Firefox preference is not working.

The "Do not tell anything about my tracking preferences" option is not working. As it always sends the "DNT:1" header no matter what option. I am using Firefox 23. I am aware of Bugzilla 803898. I would like an immediate solution if possible until this is fixed.
I am having issues with some private sites that just terminates the connection whenever the DNT header is passed. In the end, I am using IE for these sites, I preferably wish not to do so.
I tried using extensions to filter out the DNT header but it seem to be applied at the end of everything. This is an amazingly stupid error I just cannot find a solution to.
Any help would be appreciated.

The first being false should make Firefox not send the DNT header.

Why is the Hand not showing over button on one level?

I have site with multiple .swf files working on levels. many buttons working properly - but when I get to one level - the cursor is not changing to a hand over any of the buttons. I don't know how to trouble shoot that at all. I am using as2 Flash player 11.
When I test the site locally - I get the hand - when I test on the internet - I don't see the hand on this one level only. And - I tested on a mac with an earlier operating system - I did get the hand. What should I do?

if the button responds to a mouse click then there's nothing covering them.
the only way, i know, you can have a button respond to a click but not display the hand cursor on rollover AND have it be a flash issue is if useHandCursor was assigned to false.
however, there are browser issues that can cause this problem and you may be able to prevent them by making sure your embedding html has wmode="window" (or, just about anything other than "transparent").

Disabling the Delete submit button in EditCurrentRecord

Hello,
oracle.jbo.html.databeans.EditCurrentRecord automatically generates two submit buttons ("Save Changes" and "Delete Record"). Is there a way that I can remove or disable the "Delete Record" submit button so that I can prevent the user from deleting a record.

Submit/Save button not appearing

I just created a page in my application based on form. This form is only suppose to update(no delete, no create) so i said no to those choices. When i see this page it has a cancel button but not Submit/Save button. When i see page rendering section I see Save button is in italics font , i don't know what it signifies....Any help is appreciated.

Here's what I would do:
1) Drop the sequence that you mentioned you created for param_id. If the table will only ever have one row, the sequence isn't necessary. If there is a before-insert trigger that is using this sequence to set param_id, drop that too.
2) Bring the single row up in Object Browser and ensure that the param_id column for the single row is 1.
3) On your form, create an after-header PL/SQL process to set your hidden P2_PARAM_ID to 1 (I like doing this better than using the default setting of the item; I find using default kind of fluky sometimes and this way stands out more). Be sure this process runs before any Automated Row Fetch process or ApEx won't bring up the single row to update.
:P2_PARAM_ID := 1;4) In your Automatic Row Processing process, ensure that Item Containing Primary Key Column Value is set to P2_PARAM_ID, and Primary Key Column is set to PARAM_ID.
This ought to do it.

Disable Remote Functions not disabling remote functions

In DVSSP 4 I've disabled the subtitle, audio, and angle buttons and reprogrammed them to execute a script instead. While simulating this works fine, but while playing a DVD in any player or while mounting the VIDEO_TS folder to DVD Player on the Mac, the original functions of the subtitle, audio, and angle buttons remain, and the script is not executed. Is this a bug? Disabling and reprogramming the menu and title buttons works fine, but I need three different buttons to activate scripts.

When in a track in DVDSP you can assign the remote control handset buttons for subtitle, audio, chapter, angle and menu. It appears this is what the OP has done, and has pointed some to scripts. In simulator this appears to work, but playback on a set top or other device isn't allowing it. I didn't think you could trap these commands, personally.

Ok but those options do not allow control over the stream change buttons. And the Apple DVD Player offers stream change buttons but does not offer direct menu call buttons (other than Menu/Title) afaik.
The menu/title fuctions were able to be disabled and pointed to a script. It sounds like the menu call functions can be disabled and redirected, but subtitle/angle/audio buttons only change streams and don't call a menu. So how can the subtitle button (for example) be told to call the subtitle menu instead of just changing streams? Then the maybe the function could be disabled and redirected?
Also Jake, are you saying that there is one button for Audio menu call and another button for Audio stream change? But the button for Audio menu call doesn't exist on any players?

I want to disable the pointless "slide to unlock"

It is unbelievably stupid that there's no option to disable the "slide to unlock" barrier when I pick up my iPad2. I just want to push the top button and start using it!

I don't have a passcode, so there's no difference in security between forcing the user to slide the bar and not.

First, the difference between "bumping the button and going to the lock screen" and "bumping the button and going to the home screen" is about 50 seconds of active-mode power, which is insignificant. Second, the iPad resides in my living room and I never bump the power button.
hannifromeureka, yes, it is a chore. Sometimes I want to push the button for standby mode to chat with someone in the room, and then push it to turn back on--but this is a pain because of the extra lock step. Having to Slide To Power Off is also dumb; if I ever hold the power button for 2 seconds, just turn off! Don't force me to do redundent steps! For a device that's so focused on ease of use, it's very odd they force a totally redundant step just to power on and off.
alanfromnewtownards, that just stops the device from entering standby when sitting idle, which is a bad effect. And still, when you go to standby manually and come back, or do a cold power-on, you're faced with the lock.
It's much more understandable that a phone wouldn't give you the ability to disable the lock screen, since power buttons are easily bumped in your pocket, but it's still a desireable feature. To not have it on the iPad is inexcusible.
