Disabling InfoPath Caching

I've been asked to disable InfoPath caching via Group Policy. Is there a way to do this or a reason to not do this? I believe some users encountered an issue with a form and this is a heavy handed approach to prevent it from happening again. I'm not a
big InfoPath guy, so I'm curious if there's a way to do it and if it's advisable.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to clear the cache in
Citrix.
As the article of Citrix said, you can clear the cache as below.
On the computer where you want to clear the cache, type the following at a command prompt:
radecache [-i] [-if] [-ir] [-u] [-uf] [–ur]
[/flush:GUID]
radecache [/flushall]
radecache [/?]
where GUID is the unique GUID for the application streamed to user devices.
GUIDs must not include spaces.
As this issue is related to the Citrix, I recommend you can post your question to the forum for
Citrix:
http://discussions.citrix.com/
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to
Citrix.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Thanks & Regards,

  • Disable IP caching

    I'm attempting to disable IP caching for my Web Start application. I would like to do this automatically so the end user does not need to manually modify a properties file.
    In the application, I have the line:
    java.security.Security.setProperty("networkaddress.cache.ttl" , "0");When I run this as a standalone application, it works fine. But if I include this in a jar and launch as a Web Start application, it no longer works. The property is set as expected, but the initial IP address is still cached.
    I have attempted to set this property in other ways too, such as:
    - Setting the property in the jnlp file. For example:
        <resources>
            <j2se version="1.4+" href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se"/>
            <jar href="DnsTest.jar"/>
            <property name="networkaddress.cache.ttl" value="0"/>
        </resources>- Setting the analogous Sun-specific property (sun.net.inetaddr.ttl) in the jnlp file
    - Prepending "java.security." to the names of these properties
    - Setting the property in the code using System.setProperty()
    - Setting the property as a jvm argument in the jnlp. For example:
    <j2se version="1.4+" href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se" java-vm-args="-Dnetworkaddress.cache.ttl=0"/>- Setting this property on the javaws command-line
    - Using the command-line:
    "javaws -userConfig deployment.javaws.secure.properties networkaddress.cache.ttl"
    with networkaddress.cache.ttl specified in the jnlp
    Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
    Thank you.

    I tried that and it seems like my arguments that I put into my JNLP file are not being passed to the JVM. I tried a few things, none of which seem to show up in the pop up box that is displayed. I tried:
      <j2se version="1.5.0+" href="http://java.sun.com/products/auto\
    dl/j2se" java-vm-args="-Xms77m -Xmx256m -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=10 -Dnetworkaddress.cache.ttl=10 "/>and also
    <property name="sun.net.inetaddr.ttl" value="10"/>
    <property name="networkaddress.cache.ttl" value="10"/>I know you only need to set one of these, but I was just trying both just in case.
    Neither of these show up in the arguments to the JVM.
    I found one way to make this work, but it is quite ugly. If I define the JAVAWS_VM_ARGS environment variable on my local machine to have the timeout, then everything works as expected. However, this is not a very attractive option. I can't tell all the users to manually add this environment variable.
    There has to be a better way. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Disabling Mirrored cache AND/OR Redundant Controller in STK 2540

    Hi,
    We have a dual controller STK 2540. Wanted to know if there is a way to disable cache mirroring (also called cache synchronization)? This is to test the impact of 1/3 loss of performance when cache is mirrored to protect cached data in the event of controller failure in a dual-active controller configuration.
    I searched thorugh entire CAM and could not find an option.
    Also would like to know how to confirm whether the controller is in redundant mode or Active-Passive mode. CAM does not show this as well.
    Is CLI the only option to view/modify the above mentioned configuration? If so, please let me know what command should we use to view and modify the same.
    Thanks.

    RW_DB_Arch wrote:
    Thanks nwi.
    I have seen the 'Active' status for both controllers from the CAM interface as well from the sscs output. That is fine, but I think I did not put across my question very correctly.
    According to my understanding, if the cache is mirrored/synchronized then it will impose an approx. 33% of performance degradation. And I want to do away with that. So,
    I want to view the redundancy mode of controllers i.e. whether they are running in non-redundant mode or redundant mode. In either mode, both will be active.
    I also want to view the mirroring mode of the cache i.e. whether the cache is mirrored or not mirrored. In either mode, full 1Gb cache will be used.
    The controller will always be in redundant mode, you cannot change this. They will be active/active, if any controller is passive this means that it doesn't service I/O and the volumes won't failover in case there is a problem with the active one.
    You can however disable the cache mirroring between both controllers, that said, this is something we really do not recommend to do. Imagine you disable the mirroring, now one controller reboots (because this is something that may happen as per design to protect the data in specific situations), you will lose the data in the cache for this controller, this is the data which is not flushed to the drives.
    And then I want to achieve the foll. configuration:
    2 controllers, both active, but in non-redundant mode.You cannot do that. With the ST2500 like the ST6000 the controller are redundant each other.
    Which also means that cache mirroring/synchronization is off. So something like this: 2 volumes - vol1 has Controller A as the owning/preferred controller and vol2 has Controller B as the
    owning/preferred controller. Since controller redundancy is off, I believe, if 1 of the controller fails then the volume cannot be accessed via the surviving controller (i.e. no failover to the surviving
    controller) and I am fine with it. But I will get better performance because of the non-mirroring mode of cache.Such non redundant configuration isn't supported with those arrays.

    Since I need always change my code wiin a jar file and upload it as a library.
    The default behavior of Application Server is to support java cache locally in JVM. That brings me many problems  (Like can't find new implemented class by dynamical class loader,  ref. http://www.szegedi.org/articles/remotejars.html )
    It there any way to disable JAVA cache on the Application Server?
    Besides, someone told spawning a new JVM for loading the jar may also work. Does our AS support spawning JVM explicitly?

  • Reason for disabling browswer caching in Portal

    Can someone tell me the technical reason for disabling browswer caching in Portal.
    This is a big problem for our client who have central rollout of software and the corporate decision is to allow automatic browswer caching in IE 5.0.1.
    Why does the Portal framework not generate the cache-control header directive to prevent the browser from using its caching facility? See http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html#sec14.9.1 for more info on this.

    Examples: Freezes for about 20 seconds every launch. Freezes quiting. Freezes switching tabs. Freezes clicking links.

    Note that such issues can be caused by security software that blocks Firefox and possibly isn't initialized when you get (got) this issue.
    So if it happens again then try to remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Disable session cache

    Hi,
    How to disable session cache for particular reports
    thanks

    Hi,
    I would like to know, what you are referring to as 'Session Cache' here. I think you are referring to the presentation server cache, which can be managed by tags in the instanceconfig.xml or you could by-pass in completely during analysis creation with the 'By Pass Presentation Services Cache' setting.
    Instanceconfig.xml tags are as follows:
    <ServerInstance>
    <Cache>
    <Query>
    <MaxEntries>100</MaxEntries>
    <MaxExpireMinutes>60</MaxExpireMinutes>
    <MinExpireMinutes>10</MinExpireMinutes>
    <MinUserExpireMinutes>10</MinUserExpireMinutes>
    </Query>
    </Cache>
    <ServerInstance>
    Let me know, if I got you wrong here.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to disable memory cache for SL410?

    Hi,
    My lenovo thinkpad SL410 has Windows 7 prof edition as its OS.  But in the last few months it frequently crashes.  Many times when I use Chrome browser status would indicate AppCache, and that's an evil OMEN for its usually the prelude of crash.  Other browser may or may not have such issue, however, Chrome is really my preferred web browser.
    Some research seems to suggest disabling memory cache via BIO setup would resolve it.  And here's my lenovo's BIO info:
    Version: 1.23
    Date: 2009-10-19
    but it does not have any info as to who's its maker or the like.  And I don't see any option in the BIO setup that would allow me to disable cache.  So, two questions,
    a) Is it possible to disable memory cache for SL410?
    b) if so how?
    Thanks.

  • Disable all caching on a node

    Is it possible to disable all caches on a cluster node via a system property? For data safety reasons and for testing reasons it would be good to be able to turn off caching in general from one spot.

    Hi Riley,
         You can designate a nodes responsibility for managing a partition of the distributed cache by using the -Dtangosol.coherence.distributed.localstorage JVM argument.
         The only way to prevent a node from participating in a replicated cache is to not instantiate the replicated cache with the CacheFactory.getCache(...) call (if the node is a 'client') or by marking the ReplicatedCache services as autostart=false in the cache config xml file (if the node is a 'cacheserver').
         Hope this helps.

  • How to disable webview cache for Windows Phone 8.1 Runtime universal app?

    Is it possible to disable cache for the Webview control for a Windows Phone 8.1 runtime universal app? My App seems to be remembering the information it received the first time. My app logs me into a service and when I go back to rerun app in the emulator
    (without completing shutting down the emulator) it logs me in automatically rather than giving me the prompt. This behavior is in the NavigationCompleted handler if that helps explain a bit more on where I am hitting this issue.
    If I were to shut off the emulator completely and then restart it then I am prompted for the login name and password again. I have gotten over this cache issue, when I was using the HttpClient in other part of my app, by sending the no-cache in the header
    as:
    client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Add("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
    Can I do something similar for the webview control?
    thanks

  • How to disable App Caching in 10.9

    Hi All,
    As much as I think that the new memory management system in OS X 10.9 is a very nice idea, it really doesn't work for me because I have Virtual Machines stopping and starting and the despite the fact that they are only trying to pull 512MB each, the system just can't handle pushing that much to them.
    Is there a way to disable this app/file caching and get back to something more to the style of the old memory management system - I really want to have FREE memory available for when I actually need it - I really don't care if free memory is wasted memory, free memory is what works for me
    I have a Mid 2009 13" MBP with a 2.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8GB of RAM
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't bear my system grinding to a halt with several servers running in the background - the sort of thing that it could handle just fine under 10.8 - also, downgrading is not an option for me!

    Unfortunately, no - App Nap only applies to running applications, and saving processing power and thus energy, whereas the app preloading is all about being clever about which files are in use and keeping as many as possible crammed into the memory.
    However, disabling app nap is a useful thing to know, thanks!

  • How to disable video caching

    I would need to disable video cahcing in Java. Do you guys think it is possible? How do I do it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gergely
    P.S. The exact problem see below:
    I am using pcAnywhere which enables me to see my PC (host) in London from a PC in Hungary (remote control)
    Problem:
    When you have remote control over a host that is running a specific Java application, the host screen does not refresh correctly. If you do not run the specific Java application on the host, then the screen is refreshed correctly.
    Hint:
    Some Java applications use video caching to display graphics. This technique renders the video outside of the computer's video driver control. Since pcAnywhere monitors only the host video driver for video activity, any video processes rendered outside of it will not be sent back to the remote. This will effectively prevent the remote user from seeing what is occurring in the Java application.

    Or: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4221688.html
    It provides some workarounds.

    Reason: I regularly get mails with image files that are essential parts of customer orders. The image content is different in each mail, but the filename is the same.
    Mail 7 displays the same image in every mail until I restart it, it obviously displays a cached file instead of the original image.

  • Disabling oracle cache

    Hi,
    I am a graduate student in Computer Science and need to do some experiments for my thesis. I am not very familiar with oracle. I am using oracle and have implemented a cache to store some of the frequently used data items in my application.
    I am connecting to oracle using the ODBC driver 9.0.2, the one that comes with oracle 9i client installation.
    To measure the performance of the cache, I need to disable any other cache implemented by the oracle client or the server. Is there any way by which I can do that? I know oracle does do some of its own caching.
    Is there any way in which I can disable the oracle cache? Please refer me to the appropriate documentation.
    Something that I can give in my query. I am not the DBA. It is ok even if there is a directive in the query to tell oracle to bypass the cache. That will also work for me.
    Thanks,
    Nishant
    Thanks,

    You can flush the shared pool
    ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOLwhich will flush the buffer cache. This will clear the cache on the server. I don't believe it is possible to tell Oracle not to cache buffers it reads from disk, though.
    What sort of client-side caches are you thinking of? The client will automatically fetch rows you may not have requested yet (i.e. fetch the first 10 rows from SELECT * FROM <<someLargeTable>> when the application requests the first row). That is covered by the prefetch count in the ODBC DSN. Not sure what a value of 0 means, though-- that may specify that the default value be used.
    What about things like the operating system cache (assuming you're not using raw devices) or the hardware disk cache. I don't think you can disable those.
