Disabling SAP* and setting another super admin.

Could anybody tell us how to disable, the nefarious SAP* user. Meaning a little more than,
Procedure
      1.      In the enterprise portal, choose System Administration ® SystemConfiguration ® UM Configuration.
      2.      On the Data Sources tab, deselect Enable SAP* User.
      3.      Enter the user ID and password of a different superuser.
      4.      Save your changes.
      5.      Restart the Java application server.
Because, just doing this much does not quite cut it. It is so painfull when you have to figure out the n additional steps to do some as simple as this.
Incidently we keep getting a error saying, the new users desktop has not been set. We have since gone into Portal Display and set the rule as well. That still did not cut it. This is so frustrating.
Anyone gone through similar grief .

Here is the solution to this problem :
Enter the portal using:
http://<server>:<port>/irj/portal
Enter user + password
Get the error message
On the same browser window , go to
http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage
This should login you to the portal.
Then you can change the permission for the folder Standard Portal Users and add the group "Everyone" with end user permissions.(This will affect all child objects under this folder and will change permissions for the default desktop object which is hidden object under this folder)

After bouncing the server, I logged on to portal using user1. When I clicked on user admin, Got error message like "not authorized to view". I got same error message in visual admin tool also for this user.

few more things to mention.
1.I compared sap* 's roles and groups with new admin user. Both are having same rles and groups( i)authenticated users ii)everyone group). But still new admin user is not authorized for user admin page and sap* is authorized.
2. When I tried to assign "j2ee_admin" group to new admin user using sap, got the error message like sap is not authorized to do this

IE can't be uninstalled. It's part of the operating system and cannot be removed. You can hide the icon but the engine is still on the machine and still must be updated.

Of the two browsers, my personal preference is Chrome over Firefox. Firefox's add in model is too prone to developer insecurity.

Calendar Notification + Google Apps + Super Admin + Macs + Notifications

Background: I’m a Google Apps Super Admin which means that I have access to almost everything, including everyone’s calendar. They show up under “My Calendar”
Issue: I have a few users under our account. ALL of their calendar’s show up on my account (it’s a super admin thing, cant be removed because that’s the way it is). My problem is that, I get notification for EVERYONE, for every event… because as far as the system is concerned, ALL of their calendars are my calendar. This is specifically annoying because every 15/30 mins or hour I get everyone’s notifications on my iPhone, mac, etc.
No I don’t want to set up another account and set them as admin, it causes too much confusion.
Please reply if you actually know about resolutions rather than speculations. I’ve had many threads where it went on forever because everyone thought they were an expert (I say this with totally respect).

I'm also a gApps admin and have had similar issues. USUALLY, I could simply uncheck co-workers calendar listed in 'My Calendars' or 'Other Calendars' ( yes, they can appear in either place, don't ask, it's a Google Admin stupidity) to hide their schedule from my calendar. USUALLY, if i didn't see their schedule, I wouldn't see any alerts on my iOS hardware.
BUT. One colleague kept showing up no matter what.
I noticed most alerts I saw were invites, awaiting for me to accept (although I obviously was NOT) so I've tried the following on my iPhone (iOS 7)
Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
(scroll down to Calendars section at bottom)
Turn OFF New Invitation Alerts
Your mileage my vary.
I finally decided I don't typically need my co-workers schedule on my iPhone, so I went nuclear and went to my Google – iPhone/iPad calDav settings found at this Link: https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect and turned off ALL of my co-worker calendar calDav syncing.
If you DO occasionally need to look at your co-workers schedules, use the iOS google calendar Web App:
Visit your Google Apps using Safari on your iPhone, iPad, etc.
Go to the Calendar and
Add it as a Web App to your iDevice (http://blog.blueleaf.com/how-to-save-your-favorite-website-as-an-iphone-app-vide o/)
Now when you need to check co-workers schedules – launch your new gCal webApp and scroll to the bottom, click the settings button to choose which co-worker schedule you want to view, save and voila.

SAP Memory, Set and Get parameter

     I am running two programs in background from program1
Eq: Program1 --> Calls 2 programs
                          Program1_01.(First Program)
                          Program2_01(Second Program).
Programs1 schedules Program1_01 and Program1_02 in background. These two programs are interdependent.
Program1_01 extracts data, evaluates and sets the Flag. This Flag is exported to SAP Memory using
Set parameter id 'p_id_flag' field Flag.
Program1_02 checks for Program1_01 is completed in background. If complted gets the Flag value from SAP Memory using "Get paramter id 'p_id_flag' field Flag.
When i checked this is not happning. When saw Flag in Program1_01 is set as Flag = 'X'.
When I came and checked in Program1_02 after Get Parameter statement Falg value is SPACE.
Cn hlp on this?

The problem simply lies in fact that pid was provided in lowercase.
Use:
SET PARAMETER ID 'P_ID_FLAG' FIELD flag.
GET PARAMETER ID 'P_ID_FLAG' FIELD flag.
It works fine then.
Note!
Though SAP claims it is mandatory to create pid in TPARA table, in fact this is not required. Each time SET PARAMETER is executed, system checks if data object P_ID_FLAG was defined in SAP memory. If not it will automatically create it for us. But be carefull here. If there is such data object, its value will be overwritten.
As for your last question, your statement (FREE MEMORY ....) is ok.

iCloud should still help you reduce some hard drive space. Just select "optimize" in the icloud tab in Mac Photo App preferences.
Granted, not the same as completely offloading your library to a back-up drive at your location.

How to disable Wifi and Network access in low level setting for security ?

One of our final customer bought imac last months. OS 10.9, SN is c02*******J4i
Since they are security printing, all the necessary ports accessing to outisdes need to be disabled in low level setting(not the ons just like turn on and off ).
The ports including USB storage, Network and WIFI.
I googled and found the following
Open the /System/Library/Extensions folder.
To remove support for USB mass storage devices, drag the following file to the Trash: IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext
Open Terminal and enter the following command: $ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions The touch command changes the modified date of the /System/Library/Extensions folder. When the folder has a new modified date, the Extension cache files (located in /System/Library/) are deleted and rebuilt by Mac OS X.
Choose Finder > Secure Empty Trash to delete the file.
Restart the system.
I want to confirm this before sending to final user. Since I didn't have mac on hand, just wonder whether there are similar kext files for network and wifi to remove.
Just like step 2 described.
I would like customer to backup these files before permanently removed.

Every single time I move to another page, I get a pop-up. Yes, I have clicked on Tools and set browser to block ALL pop-ups. But Mozilla seems to be ingnoring.

Suddenly, a month or so ago, every single time I open a new page, Mozilla opens a pop-up window. Yes, I have clicked on Tools, etc and set my settings to block ALL pop-ups. As far as data transfer, If have all normal configuration settings in your targeted system you can use LSMW (Use T.code AS91 in LSMW for recording) to transfer your data in your both cases.
