Discounts and Commissions in SAP

Hi,
I have situations where I have to issue a Sales order with a Discount field so: Total Gross Before Discount less Total Discount and also to include Commission as a seperate field.
Total Gross Before Discount -
Total Discount
Total After Discount  -
Total Commission
Net Amount
Is there a way where I can set this up? I am using SAP Business One 2007
Thanks.

Hi,
I am trying to find the best possible solution to have discounts and commissions included on the same screen for the Sales Order.
Any suggestions pls?

  • XL-Reporter - sales analysis including row discount and document discount

    Hello World!
    In XLR I want to report all item-sales to customers grouped by item-groups based on invoives.
    Since I am interested only in net amounts (without tax, freight and other expenses) and discounts I use 'S0_LineTotal' as attribute.
    'SO_LineTotal' includes the discount of each item-row in the document.
    The row selection is as follows:
    FACT
    ARDT(Code = "ARCreditMemo","Invoice")
    FIG(SO_DocType = "I")
    ITM( * )
    Group By ITM.ItmsGrpCod
    The problem is that I also have to include the document discount 'OINV.DiscSum' in the result.
    In combination with the row selection specified above the attribute 'Total Discount' delivers no results (always 0).
    In the standard SAP report 'Sales - AR/Sales reports/Sales Analysis' the total discount is averaged to all items in the matrix of a document.
    How can I achieve this in my XL-Report?
    Thank you very much for your support!

    Hello,
    To get this, I tried drag following information from Report composer:
    Under Sales tab, choose Items(Display more atrributes to choose Item Group), Document Number(choose this one because same items may have different discount in different documents), Discount % Per Row(light dimension),Discount % Per Document(light dimension), Row Total(measure).
    Drag the Item Group to the Group region.
    Run the report and the result should be all items are grouped by item Group and discounts and total in different document for each item will be listed.
    Hope this helps you.

  • F-53 and F-28, Customized columns for cash discount and %

    Hi Expert,
    With reference to the subject of: Customized columns for cash discount and % ...
    I faced the problem of not able to set / defined hidden column for cash discount and % by creating a new variant.
    Steps:
    Create a variant
    Click <administrator> button ... mark the columns hidden, and click <activate> button
    Then click <Save> button
    Problem: Every time I using the F-53/F-28, the layout is not working, and when goto check the variant settings, the cash discount and % columns remained unchecked.
    SAP version: 4.6
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    sbmel

    Hi JP,
    It is not working using field status group, as I am using F-53 and F-28 and not FB50/60/70.
    The purpose I want to create variant for screen after clicking <process open item> is to control column display (hide cash discount and %).  if the variant is working, I can create a customized Tcode for the F-53 and F-28.
    Now problem is that variant seem not working.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Employee Discount and Loyalty Plan

    Back in June of this year I contacted customer service to change my plan. I was told about the new Loyalty Plan. My concern was whether or not my employee discount would still apply. The customer service rep checked into it and told me yes. So I made my decision to take the new plan, and commit to a new contract, based on the idea that the plan would be $60 per phone minus the discount which would make each phone $48. This has been the case for months. Even last month, November, Verizon sent me a document to verify I was still eligible for the employee discount. I filled it out and sent it in and got confirmation that I was still qualified. Then the December bill came in and it was $25 higher. When I checked into it I was told that the customer service rep made a mistake and I should have never got the discount. When I checked this forum I found out that a lot of people were told the same thing and made their decision based on still getting their employee discount. This seems like to me that Verizon changed their mind after starting the program and now the consumers are getting a bad deal. This is a breach of contract since I took on the new commitment based on the employee discount still being in effect. My wife and I have been with Verizon for over 13 years. I feel that we have been lied to and that Verizon is refusing to honor their contract with us. They are going to lose our business and we will move our money somewhere else if they don't fix this. They should at least honor what we agreed to until the end of our two year contract. Then they can change the amount legally. This also means that having a contract with Verizon means nothing to them and they have no honor or integrity. So starting today I will start looking for a new carrier because as far as I am concerned my contract with them is null and void the minute they raised my bill and eliminated my employee discount. If they agree to fix the problem, then I will keep their service.

        DaleGolds,
    We appreciate your loyalty and I’m glad we were able to locate a plan which will help you save. I regret to learn you’ve had this type of experience with a Loyalty plan. We definitely don’t want that to be the case, as these are special plans, especially designed to help our long-time customers. I certainly want to address all your concerns and apologize for the misinformation that may have been provided.
    Our goal is to ensure you are billed correctly, and if the plan mentioned is not the best fit for your needs, we are happy to bring you back to the old one. The Loyalty plan you mentioned is designed for single-line users and it is correct the employee discount offered by your company does not apply.  It’s always our intention to be honest with you and though this change (discount not applying) is not a breach in contract, it is stated in the agreement the change of eligibility can chance at anytime. This is the case of why the discount would not apply.

    I definitely don’t want to lose you as a customer and I’m prepared to do everything I can to help. Please let us know if you would like to change back to your old plan, so we can confirm it is eligible to receive your discount.

  • Exemptions from discounts and surcharges

    I work for an entrepreneurial company. We do quite a range of business across many different industry sectors. We support many different types of business deals. One of our biggest challenges is managing pricing.
    Wherever possible we try to set up our pricing calculation based on the most general attributes. For example: Sales Organization \ Price list type.
    Unfortunately, our business is not that simple.  We may have situations where the price may need to be calculated based on the customer\ material, or customer\ plant\ material combinations, etc...  This is not a problem in the standard system. We've just arranged the access sequences in the appropriate manner.
    Our challenge comes in with the range of discounts and surcharges.  Typically, management comes to us and says, "We need to add a surcharge for all customers who buy this product. There are 5,000 customers this would apply to. "
    The approach has been to create a new condition type if necessary, and to organize the access sequences in as general as possible a manner, to minimize maintenance, in order to apply the surcharge.
    After a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks, the sales leadership realizes 10% of the customers need to be exempted from this surcharge.  What's the best approach to do this?
    We have traditionally created a new access sequence for customer\ material and added a new condition record for the combination at a rate of $0.00. The new access is then assigned above the access used to apply the surcharge. The system then finds the $0.00 value record before any others, applies it, and stops. The customer has the surcharge condition applied, but at no value. If the value is $0.00, then the record does not print on any customer facing output. The customer never sees the $0.00 charge, and we satisfy the sales management requirement.
    The downside of this approach is as follows:
    The pricing screen in the sales order gets cluttered with $0.00 value records. (i.e. Fuel surcharges, product surcharges, location surcharges, internal statistical conditions, etc..) Many of these may apply on a single order.  It gets confusing for customer service and others trying to read the pricing screen.
    When a pricing report is run we inevitably get the question why are there so many records with $0.00 value? More confusion and ultimately IT support time.
    It becomes difficult to identify what the final price to a customer is without simulating an order. You must create\simulate an order to get at the net price the customer will pay.  Now we need to introduce the SAP quotation process ( we currently don't use it), or code a program to work up a price. More IT development and or support time.
    Numerous other reasons I can't think of at the moment
    The simple approach would be to go back to sales management, tell them to forget about the discounts & surcharges, just work up a net price and be done with it. Unfortunately, the funds need to be channeled to different account assignments. Accounting wants transparency in the account assignments, and likes to see the application of the charges and discounts separated by condition types.
    Caught between a rock and a hard place, what is a poor SD guy to do? Is there a better way to deal with the exemptions, minimize maintenance, and reduce the level of confusion and noise?
    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Hi,
    It is not advisable to go for a general access. It should be always from more specific to more general.
    It seems that business process involves more functionality in pricing.
    You can group your customers. You can use the fields like Customer group, Price group, Price list. If you take Customer group, you can maintain u2018nu2019 number of customer group say A, B, C , D, E, F, G, H, I , J. Create an access like Sales org / Distribution channel / customer group / Material group.
    If your client wants to apply 5% surcharge to all customers, create condition records for all (A to J) customer group. If he wants to exempt some of the customer group, change the condition records for that particular customer groups. The client should be given be advice to go for any change in pricing according to the customer group or any other suitable fields (Price group or price list)

  • Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

    Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
    1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
    2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
    Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.
    Thanks.

    Hi Alejandro,
    That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
    I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?
    Thanks

    Hi Parag,
    For the process of creating JDBC datasources and JMS resources @ SAP NetWeaver you can refer to the documents here on SDN and help.sap.com, and compare that process for yourself, thus not being influenced by others' biased or unbiased opinions.
    For NetWeaver 04 and 04s these would be:

  • Need to Return immediately and commit the App Module on a different thread

    I have an action that I want to return fast (immediately) but the server processing takes longer than acceptable. The results of the operation don't matter to the page submitting it and I want it to be able to navigate away even if the operation is not complete. I want to either be able to send a non-blocking server event from the browser or on the server side start a new thread that performs the operation allowing the original thread to return immediately. The new thread would need access to an Application Module in order to commit data. How would I go about accomplishing this?
    Some thoughts
    I've tried creating a ConcurrentLinkedQueue and putting the DataControl on the que, then in the other thread I pull it off the que, process and commit the data. This works unless the page is navigated away from. Then calling dc.getApplicationModule(); returns null.
    I thought about using createRootApplicationModule in the new thread (since the new thread has no context) but don't know how that would work
    This is the code in the run method of the new thread. In this example, I'm adding data to the app module in the original thread and committing the data in a new thread.
    (like I said, it works most of the time.)
    Object[] req = (Object[])que.poll();
    DCDataControl dc = (DCDataControl)req[0];
    try{
    ApplicationModule am = dc.getApplicationModule();
    if (am != null){
    am.getTransaction().commit();
    } else{
    System.out.println("AM:null unable to commit ");
    } catch (Exception e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    finally{
    if (dc!= null){ dc.resetState();} // release app module
    }

    Thanks for the replies. I am aware of the inherent risks of running a separate thread within a managed container.
    The use case is a performance logging operation. We have a internal web app used by a network of franchises with over 1000 users. We log response time and performances statistics to the database. When the user clicks to navigate or commit data, the response time that the user experiences is logged after the page has fully rendered either through a PPR or a full submit. This is done by submitting ADFCustomEvent from javascript on the page after rendering is complete.. The event sends up the time difference from when the user first clicked to when the page was fully rendered. This information is then merged with logged events stored on the users Session that shows the name and response time of every query that was executed during the previous request. Depending on the page this could be up to half dozen to a dozen or more queries. The logging operation as experienced by the browser is generally fast (<200ms) but sometimes can be as long as a second or more when the database gets busy. A half second is too long as makes the app appear sluggish if the user can't type or click immediately after the page has finished rendering. The logged data is aggregated so we know exactly how much of the page load was due to a slow browser/network, how much was database time, webservice call time, etc... If it's due to a slow database we can drill down and see which query is the culprit. These performance metrics are critical to operations and are charted throughout the day so we know exactly what our users are experiencing. All of our users use a custom firefox client that we control. Using this logging framework we were able to determine that upgrading to a Firefox 4.0 based client cut browser render time by more than half a second on average. We can also tell what type of hardware the user is running so can place the blame for poor performance where appropriate. We have determined that pages render considerably faster on Windows 7 than on Windows 98 with the same hardware. We are moving the logging tables off of our exadata database to a separate box to remove that load from the application database. Since we expect the other database not to perform as well we don't want it to affect the user experience, hence the need to log asynchronously. I would like to put the data on a queue and have a background daemon process read from the queue and commit to the database. I would like the daemon thread to be able to use BC components. I would prefer not to resort to using a web service because of the inherent overhead. The logging operation is not a long operation but is of high frequency so should be as streamlined as possible. The load is spread over 6 servers with 4 JVM's each (24 weblogic instances). I know it's possible to use BC components from a plain Servlet (which runs on it's own thread) so what I want is to have something like a servlet thread that loops forever processing my logging queue.
    One other method I am investigating is using my own non-blocking ajax call that callls a servlet to perform the logging. I will need to pull out the timestamp contained within a client side ADF component along with the pages ctrl-state variable that is included with every ADF request as it uses this as the key to get to the data on the session. ADF really needs a non-blocking ADFCustomEvent for this type of request. (send and don't care about the response)
    The client component with the server listener looks like this
    <af:outputText value="#{pageFlowScope.perfClientTS}" visible="false"
    id="perfClientTSField" clientComponent="true">
    <af:serverListener type="logPerfData" method="#{perfLog.logPerfDataAction}"/>
    </af:outputText>
    The script that queues the ajax call after the page loads looks like this
    AdfCustomEvent.queue(perfClientTSField, "logPerfData", {
    typeId : typeId,
    subTypeId : subTypeId,
    responseTime1 : new String(responseTime1),
    responseTime2 : new String(responseTime2),
    openedVia: via
    true);
    I also tried calling the noResponseExpected() method on the event before queuing it but it still blocked the UI and caused an additional side effect in that the client sent two ajax requests instead of one. It somehow thought something on the client side needed to be synced with the server.
    email me and I can send a doc with more details about how our performance logging framework works.

    So far my experience with Verizon has been far short of superior as it should be for the number 1 carrier in the nation.  I tried to open an account using the Edge program and did not qualify.  This was on the same day that the down payment for the Edge program became  available.  I called to determine why I was ineligible and try to find out if there was any way to become eligible and was told no and was told several times to just start a 2 yr agreement.  1 hour wasted when I could have just paid a down payment that day and none of these future problems would have occurred.  Fiance opened an account in his name on the Edge program for me.  I already had a prepaid account with a telephone number I wished to keep but was told in store that this would not be possible.  Account was opened with a new telephone number which I will refer to as telephone number A.  I contacted customer care and was informed that it would be possible to keep my telephone number  which I will refer to as telephone number B but was unable to do get it done at the time due to not having both of my phones with me.  30 minutes wasted as it should have been done in store the number transfer.  Was able to call back later and get my prepaid account with telephone number B added to my new account with my telephone number A.  We then proceeded to switch telephone numbers so that I had my original number, telephone number B, and then cancelled the additional line.  1 hr and 30 minutes wasted!!!  New single line plans come out and I chat in to change my calling plan to the Single line plan with 1gb of data for $60 and $50 with my Edge discount.  Chat representative changed my plan to the More Everything plan with 1gb.  This was not at all what I wanted as I'm trying to save money and I was hit with a huge bill.  Called in about bill got plan sorted out and am informed I no longer have the Edge discount because I'm using telephone number B.  I'm informed the Edge discount was applied to telephone number A and I can not have that discount using telephone number B.  This by the way took over 2 hours after I was informed by the customer care agent on the phone alot of inaccurate info.  I was informed the 1gb single line plan was a loyalty plan and I was not eligible until my account had been open for 1 year.  I was also informed that the Edge discount did not apply to the single line plan.  2 hours wasted After speaking with a supervisor I was still unable to have my Edge discount applied.  How can this be Verizon?  How can I purchase a phone on the Edge program, be given a discount and then have it removed simply because I wish to use the telephone number I've had for over 10 years?  I WAS NEVER ONCE INFORMED I WOULD LOSE MY DISCOUNT!!!!  I went from prepaid to the Edge program because I wanted a new phone and 4G and because of the Edge discount making it very close to what I was already paying.  I've wasted 4 hours on this when all of this should have been done in the begging.  If I had been able to put a down payment down I could have had my number then 90% of these problems I wouldn't be having.  You can't tell me there is no way to use my number and not get the Edge discount.  VERY UNHAPPY!!!

    So ChristinaB_VZW replied to my post.  You would think I would get a little further help regarding my issue, correct?  WRONG!!!  I told her thank you for helping me and she asked me to reply back with my original message copied and pasted which I did on 4/8.  I waited until 4/17 and had not heard back so I responded back to her.  Still haven't heard anything from her.  Do they simply post on these forums so that customers have the appearance of receiving assistance so that in public it looks as though I've been helped when in actuality still nothing has been done.  I could understand if I was begging for a new phone or wanted $100's of dollars off my bill for no reason but I'm not.  I want the discount that I should be receiving as part of my VERIZON EDGE AGREEMENT.  This is the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of services for money.  I know one thing for a fact and that's one you are a customer you no longer matter.  So thank you ChristinaB_VZW for making Verizon appear to care about customer issues when in actuality they do not.  I will be sure to never recommend your services to anyone and to reference this issue and lack of customer support for that reason.
