Discoverer creating workbook with item hierarchies that I don't want.

In Discoverer PLUS 10g (OracleBI Discoverer version 10.1.2.55.26):
I create a worbook, but when I drag item, they bring item hierarchies, but I didn't create item hierarchies.
It seems when I drag all the items for the business area it's fine, but when I drag out a item, all others items are items hierarchies after that. Next I drag the last item, afters that, all items are normal, they are not item hierarchies.
In DiscovererADMIN, we did not created item hierachies who could bring itemhierachies in a worbook.
This problem is present one spécific database, I tested the problem in a other database but didn't appear.
Do you know whats happening?

My problem is that we don't have any hierarchies set up in the EUL and we see item hierarchy in workbook, it's impossible because we did create hierarchies.
I created a workbook with a Bussiness Area named person, for example. This Bussiness Area got a total of 10 items and the datatype of each item is different, we have number, varchar2 and date. When I drag all the 10 items in the worksheet, the items are not hierachies, but when I drag out a item, all the others items are hierarchies, suddenly. And when I put back the last item, all the items are not hierarchies. I already said that we didn't create hierachies for that Bussiness Area or any others Busness area in the EUL.
We don't know how we can have items hierachy in a workbook when we didn't create them in the EUL.
I hope you will understand more what I try to explain.

  • Create BOM with item category L

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue while going to create BOM with item category L.
    System shows material type can not be used with item category L for that particular plant.

    Its also maintained * for header material.
    Guys we have already checked OS14 and OS24 at first. but it is allowed for header and item.

  • Creating workbook with more than 1 worksheet

    Hi guys,
    I need to create workbook with 4 different worksheets. When the query is run, all 4 worksheet shall be filled up by 4 different company codes.
    E.g. Worksheet 1 shall have report for Co_Code = 1
         Worksheet 2 shall have report for Co_Code = 2.
    Is it possible? if yes , how to achieve this?

    Hi Kirk,
    As Bhanu has suggested insert the query in the four worksheets and filter them on different company codes
    Worksheet 1 Filter on company code 1
    Worksheet 2 Filter on company code 2 and so on
    then when the user executes the workbook it will fetch the data for different company codes in different workbooks.
    Just make sure that you mark the option "Refresh all the queries in the workbook" in the properties window of the workbook.

  • Best way to create output with only topics that are not finalized

    I'm nearing the end of a project and I need to isolate the topics that still have questions. I keep trying things, but nothing gives me what I need. Any suggestions? Here's what I tried.
    I'm using RoboHelp 9 (RH9).
    Status
    I can get a report of the topic names and their status using Tools > Reports > Topic Properties and then setting the Options to include only Topic Status, but this isn't useful; that gives me a list of 396 topics, in alphabetical order.
    For each topic, you end up with 3 lines. For example:
    Adding Customers - Adding_Customers.htm
    Status:
    Status: Ready for Review
    I saved the report as TXT and opened it in Word and did a global replace of Status:^p (that is, Status, colon, new line) and then Status, colon, tab. That reduced it to 2 lines for each topic:
    Adding Customers - Adding_Customers.htm
    Ready for Review
    So that's still not very useful. I would have to write a macro or something in either the Word file or once I got it into Excel to concatentate those two lines.
    And even then, I could sort the data and get rid of the lines that show Complete (using an Excel formula), but how would I print out just those topics? If there are only a few, that's no problem, but there are at least 30. (Things changed and topics changed and now some need re-review, and some still have questions.)  Could I make an index out of those lines? No, that would involve a lot of work to write out the XML.
    Okay, so I tried another approach...
    Conditional Text
    I created a duplicate Table of Contents and applied my Questions condition to three topics. I then created a Printed Doc output and specified an Advanced condition saying to include only Questions. That gave me more than the three topics, but not all of the topics. The help says that you can use an Advanced Conditional Build Tag Expressions, and that if you want just those topics with a specific tag ("All topics to which one tag has been applied"), just include that tag.
    BUT it also says: "Topics and topic text to which you have applied no conditional build tag are included in the output."
    So, if I want only those topics to which I've applied a TOC condition of Questions, I need to create another condtion (for example, DONE), and apply that to all the topics that I don't want to print.
    So, assuming I have 30 topics with the condition Questions, I would have to apply my new DONE condition to 366 topics. Yes, I know you can apply a tag to more than one at a time, but I would be wary of doing more than 5-10 at once.
    Still, that looks like the best solution so far. I'm going to back up my project and then start doing that. In the meantime, does anyone have any other way of doing it?

    First, no reason to be concerned about applying a tag in the topic list to many topics.
    Before my time the company had an author who wrote in a topic "This is ****" intending to return to it later. He did when a customer phoned asking if the statement was true!
    What I have done is institute a simple method that also helps with reviewing. We add three hash marks ### to any topic at the top or at the point where it is incomplete. We do that using a character style rather than a paragraph so that the text can be within a paragraph. The style is called AuthorComment and we also apply a tag called AuthorComment. Both have a vivid colour applied. EXAMPLE ### Let me know if you have a problem with this.
    When we generate for internal review, we leave that stuff in as it grabs the attention of reviewers so they respond to the comment / question.
    When we generate for external use we add the tag to the build expression but we also do a search of all topics for ### using a third party find and replace tool. TextCrawler for example.
    It's simple and it works beautifully.

    I have been a long time faithful customer of vzw and although the past year I have been late on payments many times and really couldn’t afford your exorbitant prices for services lots of other companies offer sometimes three times cheaper than what you charge, I have hung in there trying my best to meet my obligations.
    This month has been no exception. You don’t know the background; the whole story of people’s lives. I know you could care less because all you care about is the profit-the money that comes in.
    I was told when I agreed to pay my bill on the third per the recorded message that I had 14 days to pay…you cut me off anyway. The phones are not the tissue; your suspending my service means I cannot work. I may lose my job…how do you justify that? In any case? The least you could do would be to keep 4986 on and cut the phones off. But no. You refuse to compromise and meet the basic needs of your customer. What does that say about your company? I tried to call back on three separate occasions to tell you I couldn’t pay because of unexpected expenses but couldn’t get out of the automated system…sadly couldn’t get to a real person which also speaks volumes to me.
    All this tells me this is a company I don’t wish to be affiliated with any more. As soon as I can, I will discontinue service with you…I know you could care less. I will honor the remaining portion of the contract but that’s it. You don’t deserve my business. I am a good, hardworking person who, at the sacrifice of myself and my needs, always pays her bills…albeit late at times. I realize others tell you stories and lies to justify themselves.     Problem here is you admit you cannot afford the service.
    And you want to blame Verizon for losing a job because you have no cell phone.
    If your job depends on that phone I would pay it on time every time if you need a job to pay your bill.
    No other service is going to treat you any different. And if you cannot afford Verizon's monthly invoice how are you going to afford new devices, activation fees, possible security deposits on any other cellular carrier? You can't.
    Also if you made an arraignment to pay and then decide you cannot do so, why should Verizon extend you service or credit, or why is it you want to use the service and data and not pay for it as agreed.
    Get a prepay phone. Its evident the cost is too high for you to afford on post pay.

    No. Its not possible.
    Alternatively, create another user account in your computer. Install iTunes in that account with the library you wish to sync.

    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

    The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

    My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas (windows 8).  I would like to set up her own iTunes account on her laptop.  Our dilema is she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2 years now, therefore, she has an abundance of music (purchased through iTunes store) and movies (downloaded via digital download from DVD/BluRay purchases) that we don't want to have to purchase all over again.  Is there any way to share some/all of my account with her so she can sync her iPod to her laptop in the future?
    I have been reading about Home Sharing but I am not sure this is the approach I am after.  Will home sharing work to allow her to alter and change the content on her PC without changing/altering it on mine?  Will it allow her to sync her iPod with her PC?
    I suppose I should also add that we are currently running 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads and an iPhone from my apple ID.  I am not even sure if I would be able to add her PC as a device for home sharing if that is an option for us.
    Any and all guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Printopia is another option but be aware that since these solutions effectively act as a print server and AirPrint receiver, they require a computer to be running on the same WiFi network.
    Canon also has a couple of apps in the App Store that might facilitate this on non-AirPrint printers. Check out...

    If you sync with the new computer it will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with the selected content of the new computer.
    The pics that you have taken with the iphone should be imported regularly to your computer as you would with any digital camera.  You can then organize them and sync them back to the iphone if you wish.
    If you have had itunes perform a backup on the new computer, you should get the pics taken with the iphone back, but I would import them before trying anything.
