Display a login popup at (browser-enable) form load.

Hi,
Help, please.
I need to pull the employee’s information from a SAP Web Service but in order to do that I need to pass two parameters: UserID and Password.
What I want to do?
I want to display
a login popup when the browser-enable form load. Something like this:
How can I do that?
I’m open to ideas and suggestions. I need some guidance, please.
Thanks in advanced

Hi Efebo,
To display a login popup in the InfoPath form, I recommend to add a button in the form and click the button will popup the login form.
Please follow the link below for detailed code samples:

  • IE10 Spell Check on Infopath 2010 Browser Enabled Forms

We are rolling out some new InfoPath browser enabled forms in SharePoint 2010. We are hoping to use the Internet Explorer 10 spell check functionality, as I know the InfoPath spell check functionality isn't available in browser enabled forms.
What we've found is that IE10 spell check functionality appears to only work in Rich Text multiline boxes. Single Line or Plain Text multi-line text boxes don't support the spell check, which is causing some frustration.
I found this page that outlines how IE10's spell check engine works:
    http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Browser/SpellChecking/
It specifies that: "Spellchecking is active by default on <textarea> and
contenteditable elements, and off by default for text boxes. Web developers can override the defaults using the <tt>spellcheck</tt> attribute."
I assume this means that it doesn't interpret the single line and plain text controls as textarea or contentditable elements.
So, any idea how to set the spellcheck attribute in InfoPath, or otherwise force this? Thanks!

    Hi,
I understand that you want to enable spelling check in  InfoPath browser enabled forms. You can add a Content Editor Web Part in your NewForm.
    1. Right click the Add new item link in your list/library
    2. Copy the URL and open it in a new tab
    3. Add a Content Editor Web Part and add below JS code:
    <script language="javascript" src="/_layouts/1033/SpellCheckEntirePage.js?rev=zYQ05cOj5Dk74UkTZzEIRw%3D%3D" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    function CheckSpelling()
    SpellCheckEntirePage('/_vti_bin/SpellCheck.asmx', '/_layouts/SpellChecker.aspx');
    </script>
    <a onclick="CheckSpelling();" href="javascript:"><img alt="Spell Check" src="_layouts/1033/images/RTE2SPCHK.GIF" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px"/></a>
    4. When you click Add new item link, you can see a spell check button in your page.

  • This form template is not currently browser-enabled. It must either be republished as a browser-enabled form, or opened using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007

    Hi,
When I try to open a Infopath related file from Sharepoint, I am receiving the below error.
This form template is not currently browser-enabled. It must either be republished as a browser-enabled form, or opened using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007.
Office Professional Plus 2010 and Infopath 2010 are installed in my Windows 7 Enterprise edition. Have executed ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\InfoPath.exe" /cache ClearAll" the command. But still getting the same error.
It works in different machine. Repaired Office 2010 and Infopath.
Please let me know if any solution available.

    Hi,
You can try Amit Bajaj's method in another thread which has fixed the same problem for several users:
Check if the default “Form Templates” option in appearing under “View all site contents” page. If it is not enabled by
default, then you can follow this following steps.
If "Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Features" is enabled but we don't see the default "Form Templates" on the "View
all site contents" page, then you should use the following steps.
Make sure they have backup of everything.
Opened the site http://<your site url> in SharePoint Designer.
Select the root URL and click FILE >> NEW >> SharePoint Content
Choose Document Library >> Form Library
Under options type the name as “FormServerTemplates” and it will create the content.
Now right click on “FormServerTemplate” and open “Properties”
On settings Tab change the name to “Form Templates” and uncheck the option “Use a template for new documents”
    Click OK
Now you should see “Form Templates” on the view all site content page.
You should be able to publish the InfoPath form with "Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser."

  • An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service, when InfoPath web enabled form loads.

    Hi Everyone,
I am getting an error message: An error occurred while trying to connect to a web service, when my InfoPath form tries to load.  The last few days, it only spits this error message in the morning and around 12pm-1pm it resolves itself and the form loads
fine the rest of the day, oddly enough.
A few things about my form:
    1). It is web enabled
2). The form submits to a form library on the SP server
3). I use the UserProfileService data connection in the form to auto-populate a few fields
4). I use a udcx file with correct language stored in the root of the site collection in the data connection library
5). The form has been working fine until a few days ago
I noticed while in Central Administration, that the User Profile Service Synchronization is Stopped.  Not sure if this is causing some or all of the problem. If I need to start it I will need to contact my farm administrator to do this, since I do not
    have the service account information.
Also, I looked thru the log files on the SharePoint server and found the following by searching for the Correlation ID shown when the error comes up, I won't put in everything just the important messages.
Schema file was already loaded: BuiltInActiveXControls.xsd
FormServer Partial Trust - Proxy operation invoked in the SHIM process.
FormServer Partial Trust - Invoking proxy operation for Web service adapter failed with exception Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object. for Url=https://<SP URL>/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx
Data adapter failed during OnLoad: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server. For more information, contact the server farm administrator.
The following query failed: GetUserProfileByName (User: , Form Name: Expense Report, IP: , Connection Target: <SP URL>/Data Connections/GetUserProfileByName.udcx, Request: , Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:Expense-Report:-myXSD-2014-04-11T21-06-32
Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server.

    Hi B.,
You are on the right track. I recommend that you first get the User Profile Synchronization Service started because that itself could be the root cause of the issue.
If that doesn't fix it then focus your attention on the GetUserprofileByName data connection. I always use my secure store ID for this connection. I add the ID by editing the udcx file and then publishing it again.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to enable digital signature for browser enabled infopath form?

    Dear all,
I have designed infopath form and published it into the document library. I want to provide signature option on the browser enabled infopath form.
I have created it using secion and digital signature control.
but I am getting this message.
When i click on Yes . I get following screen.
And it just hang here. I have enabled the active x control feature for IE.
Please tell me where i should install this component and how it can be done?
I have access only to the sharepoint site.
    Thanks

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to enable digital signature for browser enabled infopath form.
To be able to sign this form, you need to activate two Windows Internet Explorer add-ons. Click the Information Bar in the dialog box, and then click Run ActiveX control to activate each add-on.
Then you need to active the following add-on.
In my environment, after I click the Next button, it open the picture as below.
Once I click the link to add the add-on as above, everthing works well.
For more information, you can refer to:

  • Browser enabled InfoPath form not opening in browser from a link in a Task list

I have a browser enabled InfoPath deployed to SharePoint as a template in a Forms Library. The form opens in the browser when a user navigates to the Form library and clicks New.
There is an Approval workflow associated with this form which kicks in whenever a new Form is submitted. The workflow creates a task in a task list. The task list shows a Link column which provides the link to open the form. Now, when a user clicks on the
link (in the Task list), the form always open in InfoPath instead of opening in a browser.
I see that the URL for the form (http://<Server>/Training/Enrollment%20Forms/<FormName>.xml)  is same in both the Forms Library and Task list link.
What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to make the form open in browser from the Task list link.
    Thanks
    Rajat

This question is asked constantly - we just discussed this last week, I believe - so you can probably find a lot more discussion to help you out if yous earch within this form or browse through the topics.  The reason for your issue is because of
what you just wrote - the URL is directly to the XML file, so it tries to invoke InfoPath.  Browser forms are rendered by Forms Services, which has a much different URL.  Go click on one of your existing forms, and notice how different the URL is.
To get forms to open in the browser when invoked from a different location, you must use this full Forms Services URL.  Built-in workflows only generate a link to the XML file, and since the task in a different list than the form, then it has no idea
how to open the form in the browser.  Only users who don't have InfoPath installed will see it in the browser automatically.  This is why I generate my own URLs dynamically with custom workflows and don't use OOTB workflows.SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP ||

  • This form template is currently browser-enabled but it cannot be browser enabled on the site

    Hi,
we have an issue with infopath form when trying to publish the form with browser enabled feature it is showing error "this form template is currently browser-enabled but it cannot be browser enabled on the site" and also "Enable thisf orm
to be filled out by using browser" option is disabled
    i have triedfollowing
    1. Site Collection Features has "Enterprise Features enabled"
    2. Site Features also has "Enterprise Features" enabled
    3. Forms Library has "View as Web Page" enabled in advance settings
    4. Infopath Forms Service has Render and User Browser Compatible Forms enabled
    5. Tried creating a form with simple section and design checker does not flash any errors (And, yes, the form is made browser compatible)
    6. Tried enable and disable of Infopath Forms Service, Enterprise Features, etc and did an IISRESET each time
    7. Default Form Templates library is also there in view all site contents page, this is also
    8. This is only happening in one site collection, on other site collections this is working
Anyone please help me on this

    Thanks Darrell,
Apologies for my delayed response. I wish it was that simple! When I publish, the files are saved throughout the site with files from my 7 other animations (some of which I've decided not to use). Very confusing for an Edge noob. Anyway I've identified and collected them all using Finder into a folder to zip. Now I have to finish sorting about 1.25 GB of images (when I started experimenting with Edge I made the mistake of using big pixel dimensions and many duplicates of varying sizes) that aren't in the animation I want to send you. I don't know which ones to delete without inserting each one in the edge animate composition first as distinguishing the names in the library seems to be a lost cause. Thanks for your patience and I'll send the zipped file with the pruned images within 48 hrs. I'm working with a full laptop that's at the end of its natural life so its taking a lot longer. I hope the whole problem is because of my huge image folder and not to do with javascript etc. The animations work fine by themselves in any browser and after publishing by themselves it seems. Just not in DW...
    Cheers, Gene.

Install the latest update of Reader or Acrobat (done, no effect)
Adobe releases free security updates quarterly. It is important to update your version of Reader or Acrobat to the latest release. The updates often include fixes to common problems. Download the latest free update:
Note: Microsoft Windows 7 requires Adobe Reader 9.2 or later.
    1.      Open Reader or Acrobat.
    2.      Choose Help > Check for Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
    3.      Once installed, restart your computer.
    To the top<http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-view-pdf-web.html>
Refresh or reload the page (done, no effect)
Often, just refreshing the page allows the PDF to load fully.
Hold down the Shift key and press the    Refresh or    Reload button in the browser.
Try to view a different PDF (done, no effect)
Try viewing a different PDF. For example, see if this sample form<http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Samples/flatform.pdf> displays in your browser.(DOES NOT OPEN) If Acrobat or Reader can open the sample form, then the other PDF could be damaged or the web server could be having problems. If possible, contact the individual or company who manages the website.
    1.      Try to view a PDF on your hard drive .  (ALL PDFS OPEN ON HARD DRIVE)

Problem with the browser or its settings?
Use a different web browser  (Pdf'S open in alternate browsers)
Certain conditions on your computer, such as security settings or browser cookies, can prevent you from viewing a PDF. Often, the fastest solution is to try to open the page using a different browser. Try any of the following browsers that you have not already tried:
    Mozilla Firefox<http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/>
    Microsoft Internet Explorer<http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx>
    Apple Safari<http://www.apple.com/safari/download>
For a list of compatible browsers for Reader and Acrobat X, see this list of Compatible web browsers<http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html>.
Switch to Compatibility View (Internet Explorer) (done, no effect)
Some websites display better in the Compatibility View of Internet Explorer. The Compatibility View displays a page as if it was an earlier version of the browser. For instructions on how to switch to this view, see one of these documents on the Microsoft website:
Internet Explorer 9: How to use Compatibility View in Internet Explorer 9<http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/How-to-use-Compatibility-View-in-Internet-Expl orer-9>
Internet Explorer 8: Why are some web pages blank or incorrectly displayed in Internet Explorer<http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/webpages-look-incorrect-in-Internet-Explorer>.
Restart your computer and try opening the PDF again (done, no effect)
Restart your computer, then open the web page again. Restarting clears the computer memory and memory cache. It is surprising how often simply restarting your computer resolves a display issue.
Delete temporary Internet files (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) (done, no effect)
Clear the browser cache (sometimes called 'temporary Internet files') to ensure that you are viewing a fresh version of the page. When you open a web page, the browser saves a temporary copy so that it opens more quickly next time. You want to force the browser to load the entire page directly from the server, rather than displaying a stored copy.
Reset the Display PDF In Browser preference (done, no effect)
    1.      In Reader or Acrobat, right-click the document window, and select Page Display Preferences.
    2.      From the list at left, select Internet.
    3.      Deselect Display PDF In Browser, and then click OK.
    4.      Choose Edit > Preferences > Internet, select Display PDF In Browser, and then click OK.
    5.      Try to open the PDF again from the website.
View PDF in 32-bit version of Internet Explorer or Safari (done, no effect)
Acrobat and Reader are 32-bit applications on Windows. If you try to open a PDF in a 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, the PDF opens in stand-alone Acrobat or Reader, not in Internet Explorer.
Remove DreamFactory (Firefox only) (done, no effect)
If you receive the error "Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDFs in your web browser," do the following:
    1.      Choose Start > Run, type appwiz.cpl in the Open text box, and then click OK to open the Add Or Remove Programs dialog box.
    2.      Select Change Or Remove Programs in the Add Or Remove Programs dialog box, select DreamFactory Runtime for Netscape, Mozilla and Firefox, and click Change/Remove.
    3.      Click OK in the Remove Programs From Your Computer dialog box.

    Problem with Reader or Acrobat?
Remove unmatched or multiple versions of Reader or Acrobat  (already did this including running a cleaner from the Adobe site) (done, no effect)
Repair Reader or Acrobat (done, no effect)
Reader or Acrobat could be damaged. Repairing the installation is a quick troubleshooting safeguard.
Repair from within Reader or Acrobat (done, no effect)
(Reader) Choose Help > Repair Adobe Reader Installation.
(Acrobat) Choose Help > Repair Acrobat Installation.
Repair using Control Panel (Windows) (done, no effect)
You can also repair your Acrobat or Reader installation using the Windows Control Panel.
Enable the Adobe PDF browser add-on (Internet Explorer) (done, no effect)
Make sure that the Adobe PDF browser add-on, AdobePDF.dll, is enabled.
Run Acrobat or Reader in a new local administrator account (done, no effect)
Optimize large PDF files (not the problem)
If the PDF file is 4 MB or larger, ask the provider to optimize the PDF file. For information about optimizing PDF files, see
Check the registry path for Acrobat or Reader (Windows) (done, no effect)

  • PopUp LOVs in tabular forms

    Hi,
I've discovered a problem using Popup LOVs in tabular forms, whereby on selecting a value from the LOV the key value is displayed on the form instead of the display value.
Having searched this forum it would appear I'm not the only one who has encountered this problem, but I've had no luck in finding an explanation for this behaviour or a solution / workaround.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Andrew.

A Popup LOV is just a normal Input field with the option to popup another window, select a value and return that value to the field. On the popup window, the "display" value is shown to the user to make it easier to select the right value, but the "return" value is returned to the field as this is the value that needs to be stored on the database.
As a normal input field, it can only hold and, therefore, display one value.
Select Lists, on the other hand, store the "return" value but show the "display" value because that is how Select Lists are designed to operate.
You can show the "display" value in a second field for data that is already on the database by using the "Display as Text (based on LOV, does not save state)", based on the same database column as for the Popup LOV field and using the same LOV table.
However, the only way to get a "display" value for a new/edited record would be to either submit the page or design your own popup which can pass values back into two fields. Either way, you need two fields.
Unless someone else has found a way around this?????
    Regards
    Andy

  • Display the reports in web browser?

I need advise.. Here is my requirements.
we are using Oracle9i database. We have data warehouse Schema. We wanted to display some of the reports in the browser. What are the possible solutions to display the reports in web browser with out using any reporting tools(cognos, business objects etc).
    Thanks

Well your requirement is a little bit odd, displaying data in database without using tools or application. What's form of these reports you are talking about? Are they just bunch of queries?
If you don't want to use heavy duty software like cognos or business objects, then consider use Oracle Application Express APEX
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/index.html
by the way cognos and business objects are OLAP tools, does that mean your reports are OLAP report?
