Display a table containing HTML content in mail sent to approver.

Hi All,
I am working on a Travel Management workflow where mail needs to be sent to the manager along with the trip details.
We are displaying data in tables (html format). Now i need to add another such table with details into this already existing workflow but i am facing issues in binding.
Issue: For already existing tables, the binding is like this,
Export to task,
&TRIP& --> &T_SUMMARY##&
Import to w/f,
&T_SUMMARY##&  <--- &T_SUMMARY##&.
But when i am tryin to add my table in binding as, &TRIP& --> &T_MILEAGE##&,
I am getting a binding error, &T_MILEAGE##& is not available in the container.
I checked the container both in workflow and in task, both contain multiple devlarations of the variable  &TRIP& which is of type the BO.
Kindly help me how to proceed further.
Regards,
Jose

Hi Jose
  why do you want to store data in HTML format. The entier trip detail is availble in PDF format which can used as an attachment. This is not the correct way to do it.

  • Displaying HTML content on Mail

    I need to send several promo emails from my Mac, for which I've created an HTML page using Adobe GoLive, containing images & text.
    If I copy/paste the source code from GoLive to Mail, it shows only the source code, not the actual page. And if I attach the actual HTML page file, it sends this file as an atachment.
    How do I embed this HTML page on my email message so that it will be show when the message is opened?
    Thanks,
    - Marianno
    G5 2x2.0, PowerBook 400Mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Open the GoLive document with Safari and at the menu bar, go to File and select Mail Contents of This Page.
    A new Mail.app message will launch with the document opened and rendered with Safari will be sent in it's entirety.

  • Pivot Table contains HTML

    Does anyone have any suggestions for how to handle HTML displayed in a pivot table field? I either need to strip the HTML tags or parse the value, server-side in Project Online, or client-side in the Excel file. Has anyone dealt with this before?
    Also I can't use VBA since Excel reports can't have VBA when used in SharePoint Online...
    Thanks,
    Roland

    Hi Roland,
    Could you kindly clarify this a bit further. How do you want the HTML to be treated? What is the desired outcome or behaviour?

    Michael Amadi

  • Load remote content in mail only for approved addresses

    Is there a way to configure mail to automatically load content of only approved addresses? I don't want to always load remote content but, there are some addresses that I would like to load the remote content automatically. I only seem to be able to load it for everyone or no one.
    Thanks a lot
    P

    Well, maybe someone else can get this working better, but I have a rule set that will Load Remote Content when you click on Apply Rules and are seeing the email in the Preview window.  Of course that kind of defeats the purpose a bit, but I used the program Mouse Position Menu to click on an area of the screen where the button is located.  Here is the script info.
    set x to 1830
    set y to 118
    set l to 1
    do shell script "
    /usr/bin/python <<END
    import sys
    import time
    from Quartz.CoreGraphics import *
    def mouseEvent(type, posx, posy):
              theEvent = CGEventCreateMouseEvent(None, type, (posx,posy), kCGMouseButtonLeft)
              CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, theEvent)
    def mousemove(posx,posy):
              mouseEvent(kCGEventMouseMoved, posx,posy);
    def mouseclick(posx,posy):
              mouseEvent(kCGEventLeftMouseDown, posx,posy);
              mouseEvent(kCGEventLeftMouseUp, posx,posy);
    ourEvent = CGEventCreate(None);
    currentpos=CGEventGetLocation(ourEvent);             # Save current mouse position
    for x in range(0, " & l & "):
              mouseclick(" & x & "," & y & ");
    mousemove(int(currentpos.x),int(currentpos.y));      # Restore mouse position
    END"
    My screen is a 21.5" running at the native 1920x1080 resolution.  So my coordinates were 1830,118 and I plugged them in to the AppleScript above.

  • HTML  Content in an E-mail message

    Hello!
    I wanted to know as to how html content could be sent as part of an email message..Someone please help me with this because this is very crucial.Thank u
    Regards,
    Chaitra

    I used msg.setContent(message,"text/html") and it works fine as long as the total no. of characters in the message is less than 1024. As soon as the character size goes over 1024, I get this message in the mail instead of the HTML mail -
    "This message uses a character set that is not supported by the Internet Service. To view the original message content, open the attached message. If the text doesn't display correctly, save the attachment to disk, and then open it using a viewer that can display the original character set."

  • Examples of conditional statements in 10.1.4 HTML Content Layout Templates?

    I've read all the documentation on metalink/OTN and gone through the OBE but what I really need to see are some REAL WORLD EXAMPLES of an html content layout for an item region that may have a mix of several different item types and display options. What is the best way to handle the conditional statements for item types and display options in an HTML Content Layout Template?
    Hey, hasn't anyone started a SKINS/TEMPLATES web site for Oracle Portal yet???
    :-)

    Since I have multiple item types allowed in a page group and I want any of them to be used for an Items region, I am trying conditional statements based primarily on #ITEM.TYPE# and #ITEM.DISPLAYOPTION#. I have an html content layout I've been working on (lots of trial and error!) for use in an Items regions but I'm still looking for some examples that other people may have implemented in their portal.

  • SSRS 2008 R2 report does not print the page header for a html content displaying on multiple pages

    Hi
    I need to display the html content from the database. The html content are quite long and can have content of 3-5 pages. Issue I  am facing is f the record has html content of 3-5 pages, then it does not print the page header (which is a separate tablix) on
    second page onwards.
    Nikesh Shah
    Nikesh Shah

    Hi Nikesh,
    According to your description, I’m not sure the meaning of Page header in your scenario. In Reporting Services, a page header that run along the top of each page, respectively. Headers can contain static text, images, lines, rectangles, borders, background
    color, background images, and expressions. But we couldn’t add tablix in the page header.
    If you are saying report header, a report header consists of the report items that are placed at the top of the report body on the report design surface. They appear only once as the first content in the report. So it cannot repeat in other pages.
    If you are saying tablix header, freezing column headers are different in table and matrix. For more details, please refer to the following thread:

    What happens if the user isn't reading the message in a HTML enabled mail client?
    Besides, even if you don't want to send an equivelant message in plain text, at least say something like 'Please open the message in an HTML enabled mail client'.
    It is a required field, so requires some value (not null).
    From the docs:
    Plain text and HTML email content. Passing a value to p_body, but not p_body_html results in a plain text message. Passing a value to p_body and p_body_html yields a multi-part message that includes both plain text and HTML content. The settings and capabilities of the recipient's email client determine what displays. Although most modern email clients can read an HTML formatted email, remember that some users disable this functionality to address security issues.

  • How to display internal table content to table control

    hi experts
            I am very new to dialog programming
            I have the Internal table in a report program containing data that needs to be displayed in table  control.
          Can you explain in step by step.
         Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Rajaram

    Hi Raja
    Dialog-driven programs, or any program started using a transaction code, are known as SAP transactions, or just transactions. The term "transaction" is used in several different contexts in the IT world. In OLTP (Online Transaction Processing), where several users are working in one system in dialog mode, the term "transaction" stands for a user request. In conjunction with database updates, it means a change in state in the database.
    Programs with type M can only be started using a transaction code, in which an initial screen is defined. Programs with type 1 can be started either using a transaction code, or by entering the program name in one of the transactions SE38 or SA38. Screens call dialog modules in the associated ABAP program from their flow logic. Type M programs serve principally as containers for dialog modules, and are therefore known as module pools. Type 1 programs, or function modules can also switch to dialog mode by calling screens using the CALL SCREEN statement. The program code of the corresponding executable program or function pool must then contain the corresponding dialog modules.
    Programs that are partially or wholly dialog-driven cannot be executed in the background. They are therefore sometimes referred to as dialog programs.
    <u><b>Transaction code</b></u>
    The transaction code starts a screen sequence. You create transaction codes in the Repository Browser in the ABAP Workbench or using Transaction SE93. A transaction code is linked to an ABAP program and an initial screen. As well as using a transaction code, you can start a screen sequence from any ABAP program using the CALL SCREEN statement.
    <u><b>Screens</b></u>
    Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by one or more screens. These screens consist of a screen mask and its flow logic. Since the flow logic influences the program flow, screens are sometimes referred to as "dynamic programs". You create screens using the Screen Painter in the ABAP Workbench. Each screen belongs to an ABAP program.
    The screen has a layout that determines the positions of input/output fields and other graphical elements such as checkboxes and radio buttons. The flow logic consists of two parts:
    Process Before Output (PBO). This defines the processing that takes place before the screen is displayed.
    Process After Input (PAI). This defines the processing that takes place after the user has chosen a function on the screen.
    All of the screens that you call within an ABAP program must belong to that program. The screens belonging to a program are numbered. For each screen, the system stores the number of the screen which is normally displayed next. This screen sequence can be either linear or cyclic. From within a screen chain, you can even call another screen chain and, after processing it, return to the original chain. You can also override the statically-defined next screen from within the dialog modules of the ABAP program.
    <u><b>GUI status</b></u>
    Each screen has a GUI status. This controls the menu bars, standard toolbar, and application toolbar, with which the user can choose functions in the application. Like screens, GUI statuses are independent components of an ABAP program. You create them in the ABAP Workbench using the Menu Painter.
    <b><u>ABAP Program</u></b>
    Each screen and GUI status in the R/3 System belongs to one ABAP program. The ABAP program contains the dialog modules that are called by the screen flow logic, and also process the user input from the GUI status. ABAP programs that use screens are also known as dialog programs. In a module pool (type M program); the first processing block to be called is always a dialog module. However, you can also use screens in other ABAP programs, such as executable programs or function modules. The first processing block is then called differently; for example, by the runtime environment or a procedure call. The screen sequence is then started using the CALL SCREEN statement.
    Dialog modules are split into PBO modules and PAI modules. Dialog modules called in the PBO event are used to prepare the screen, for example by setting context-specific field contents or by suppressing fields from the display that are not needed. Dialog modules called in the PAI event are used to check the user input and to trigger appropriate dialog steps, such as the update task.
    <b><u>Passing Data Between ABAP Programs and Screens</u></b>
    How are fields from ABAP programs displayed on the screen? And how is user input on the screen passed back to the ABAP program? Unlike in list programming, you cannot write field data to the screen using the WRITE statement. Instead, the system transfers the data by comparing the names of screen fields with the names of the ABAP fields in the program. If it finds a pair of matching names, the data is transferred between the screen and the ABAP program. This happens immediately before and immediately after displaying the screen.
    <u><b>
    Field Attributes</b></u>
    For all screen fields of a dialog screen, field attributes are defined in the Screen Painter. If a field name in the screen corresponds to the name of an ABAP Dictionary field, the system automatically establishes a reference between these two fields. Thus, a large number of field attributes for the screen are automatically copied from the ABAP Dictionary. The field attributes together with data element and domain of the assigned Dictionary field form the basis for the standard functions the screen executes in a dialog (automatic format check for screen fields, automatic value range check, online help, and so on).
    <u><b>Error Dialogs</b></u>
    Another task of the screen processor is to conduct error dialogs. Checking the input data is carried out either automatically using check tables of the ABAP Dictionary or by the ABAP program itself. The screen processor includes the error message into the received screen and returns the screen to the user. The message may be context-sensitive, that is, the system replaces placeholders in the message text with current field contents. In addition, only fields whose contents is related to the error and for which a correction may solve the error can accept input. See also Messages on Screens.
    <b>
    <u>Data Consistency</b></u>
    To keep data consistent within complex applications, ABAP offers techniques for optimizing database updates that operate independent of the underlying database and correspond to the special requests of dialog programming. See also Programming Database Updates.

  • Memory leak in Jeditorpane.setText method while displaying html content

    I tried to display a larger size html page using JeditorPane. But I found that there as a huge memory leak after JEditorPane's setText method was called.
    Refering to the below code there was a difference of about 40 MB after the setText method was called.This does not happen if we display the page in rtf format.This finally results in Out Of memry error.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileReader;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.swing.JEditorPane;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    public class SampleProgram extends JFrame{
    public JEditorPane pane;
    static public String getContents(File aFile) {
    StringBuffer contents = new StringBuffer();
    try {
    BufferedReader input = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(aFile));
    try {
    String line = null;
    while (( line = input.readLine()) != null){
    contents.append(line);
    contents.append(System.getProperty("line.separator"));
    finally {
    input.close();
    catch (IOException ex){
    ex.printStackTrace();
    return contents.toString();
    public SampleProgram() {
    pane = new JEditorPane();
    pane.setContentType("text/html");
    pane.setEditable(false);
    pane.setCaretPosition(0);
    pane.setAutoscrolls(true);
    getContentPane().add(pane, BorderLayout.CENTER);
    setSize(400,400);
    File file = new File("D:/Audit_Log.html");
    String summary = getContents(file);
    System.out.println("Memory used Before setText invoke ==>" +((Runtime.getRuntime().totalMemory()- Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory())/1000000)+"M");
    pane.setText(summary);
    System.out.println("Memory used after setText invoke ==>" +((Runtime.getRuntime().totalMemory()- Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory())/1000000)+"M");
    setVisible(true);
    The html i am trying to display is similar to the one below.But the original content almost 10 times bigger than this html content and it has only td and tr tags. and for this file the leak is about 4 MB and if I use the file 10 times bigger than this it is 40M .
  • Getting the html content before browser displays it
    Hi,
    I have a nagging problem which i am trying hard to solve.
    I have a jsp file which gets hundreds of rows from database. I want to capture the html content before the browser displays that. How can I achieve it. ?
    Please tell us the solution as soon as possible. we have stopped the work.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hi !
    continuing with my previous mail...
    Is it okay with you if you use save the Data to be rendered in an XML ? (if you just need all the data).
    You've written you will have "hundreds of rows from database".
    In case you think of saving the data in an XML format, you can have all that data in a structured manner on the server side. And later you could use the XML file in any way you want. i.e. convert it into an html using xalan, etc. or use the XML file to access the data instead of a DB transaction all over again...
    I guess this might be a better approach than saving the HTML that will be generated by the JSP.
    Anyway, it depends on your requirement.
  • Can I display the table content of a web page??
    Hi guys I am new to java and here I need to count the words in each table and display the table with largest number of words . This being a part of my huge project. Below is my code where I have succeeded in displaying all the tables present in the web page.But I need to count all the words in the table and display only that table which has largest number of words including all the tags. So java experts please help me with this piece of code...................
    import java.net.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.util.regex.*;
    public class findtable{
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        String inputLine = null;
        String wholeHtml = "";
    int trcount=0;
        try{
          URL yahoo = new URL("http://books.google.com/books?q=+subject:%22+Science+Fiction+%22&as_brr=3&rview=1&source=gbs_hplp_fict");
          URLConnection yahooConnection = yahoo.openConnection();
          BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader
            (new InputStreamReader(yahooConnection.getInputStream()));
          int start = 0;
          while ((inputLine = br.readLine()) != null) {
            wholeHtml += inputLine;
            if (inputLine.contains("<table")){
                      ++start;
            if (start != 0) {
              System.out.println(inputLine);
            if (inputLine.contains("</table>")) {
              --start;
        catch (MalformedURLException me) {
           System.out.println("MalformedURLException: " + me);
        catch (IOException ioe) {
          System.out.println("IOException: " + ioe);
        }So any help would be really really appreciated....
    The code should take care of nested tables also..
    So guys looking forward for the generous help....
    I have already parsed the HTML and checked all the closing of tags and corrected the indent using Tidy and then I have applied this code so some other suggestions please
