Display correct date format in report

Hi All,
I have a key figure date type and when I display the report, this field shows a number format and not a date format as i wish.
Can you help me with this issue? Any idea?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Bruno Rodrigues

Hi Bruno,
Any specific reason you created the date as KF type in place of characteristics of type dat.
Please create the object as characteristic of type DAT.

  • Key figure is not displaying correct data format

    Hi SAP Guru,
    I am facing this issue while checking query output.
    Please find the below example:
    Actual Value in Infocube :
    506,934,567,522,159,433,380.99
    Bex Report Output:
    506,934,567,522,159,000,000.00
    Please provide your suggestion what can we do to correct the data output in reporting layer.
    Thanks
    Priyanka

    Setting is similar  like this only .... Actually Data after  decimal is not an issue the main problem is that before decimal data is coming in Zero form eg.
    Actual Value in Infocube :
    506,934,567,522,159,433,380.99
    Bex Report Output:
    506,934,567,522,159,000,000.00
    Before decimal last 6 digits

    Calendar Tile on Windows 8.1 displaying incorrect date for icloud calendar but date icon displays correct date on iPhone 5 and iPad Air.  Date on Windows 8.1 is correct.  Thank you.

    Try doing  a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.

  • Display image data in a report

    Hello.
    I have a table with a BLOB column that stores images.
    I want to run a report and display the images.
    Say my blob column is named IMAGE_DATA.
    I want my report definition to be simply SELECT IMAGE_DATA FROM T; and I want the page to display the images in one neat column, one underneath another.
    I have managed to build a report that in the IMAGE_DATA column shows a hyperlink called "download" and if I click on it, it takes me to a page displaying the image file. (I use dbms_lob.getlength("IMAGE_DATA") for the report and then "DOWNLOAD:T:IMAGE_DATA:ID" in the number/date format for the report attributes)
    But that's not what I want.
    I want the report to list not the hyperlinks all saying "download" in the IMAGE_DATA column that, if clicked on, would take me to the images. I want the report to display the actual images in the report itself.
    Is it possible? If so, what's the magic sause recipie?
    Thank You
    Boris

    Hello Boris,
    You can use something like
    decode(nvl(dbms_lob.getlength(p.product_image),0),0,null,'<img src="'||apex_util.get_blob_file_src('P8_PRODUCT_IMAGE',p.product_id)||'" height="75" width="75" />') img
    in your select statement.
    See the documentation and/or [this blog post|http://dgielis.blogspot.com/2008/07/show-blob-of-other-table-in-apex-form.html].

  • Incorrect date format on report instance

    Hi,
    I have a problem (well a question) relating the the instance detail information behind a report instance in BusinessObjects Enterprise XI3.1 SP2 FP2.5. On one of my servers I can view the history of a report thorough InfoView and then select the link in the 'Status' colum. This displays the 'Instance details' page. On this page the 'Creation Time', 'Expiry', etc. are shown in the format dd/mm/yy hh:mm:ss. But, on my other server the same page shows these records as 'mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss'.
    I suspect that there is a server setting to be made somewhere, but where?
    Any ideas please?
    Mike

    Hello,
    Found it. I run my SIA under a service account and not a user account. This service account was using the wrong Regional settings. When changed to the correct Regional settings the reports showed the dates in the correct format.
    Thanks for looking.

  • Regarding Date format in Reports.

    Hi All,
    I want to change the Date format in BEx reports. Currently I am getting MM DD YYYY. But I need it as DD MM YYYY. I had gone thru numerous posting on this issue. I changed the Date Settings in SU3. But still I am not getting the Date in correct format. Is there any other place that I have to correct the Date format???
    Regards
    Jay

    Jayanth,
    I feel in your case, going to the System (in menu)-User Profile-Own data then, you get, Maintain user profile. Here you have the option of Maintaining, Date format.
    Hope this helps....

  • 0CALWEEK to be displayed in date format with start of week date

    Hello everyone,
    I have a requirement wherein I want to display 0CALWEEK info object in the cube in date format with start of week date in the Bex query report. For example if 0CALWEEK is 23.2005 then in Bex report it should display as 06.06.2005. Anyone got any ideas if we can achieve this without adding any additional info object in cube itself ?
    many thanks,
    Neeraj

    Hi Neeraj,
    There are multiple ways to achieve this.
    1. Virtual characteristics. This approach still requires having a placeholder of 0DATE type in the query, but you don't have to populate it in your load. This could slow down you query as well.
    2. Depending of the frontend you using you can run Excel macro (BEx) or Table exit (Web).
    Please let me now if you need more details.
    Regards,
    Gersh

  • Date format on report

    Hi Everyone!
    I have a date format that is in the footer of my report. The format is set with the following: fmDay Month DD RRRR HH:MI AM and this is what I want, but when it prints out I get the following: Monday September 24 2001 11:0 AM . I would think I should get Monday September 24 2001 11:00 AM . I need the other part of the minute to show up. Now, it does show up if I have Monday September 24 2001 11:15 AM. I really need for the whole date format to show up. If I change the format to mm/dd/rrrr HH:MI AM then I don't get the day which I really need to show up in the footer.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    ~Vannette ([email protected])

    Please change your current date format [to]
    fmDay Month DD RRRR fmHH:MI AM
    Neeraj Vannette -
    To explicate, recall that FM is a toggle. Your first
    FM set the format to suppress all blanks and leading
    zeroes, so 11:01 became 11:1. The added FM sets back
    to normal mode, so everything after the first FM is
    zero/blank suppressed, after the second FM is not.

  • Problem in displaying correct data in ALV pop-up

    Hello,
    I am trying to display table contents using the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID and method SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY.
    It works as follows. When I doule click on one entry, an ALV pop-up is displayed with the fields of the selected row. The first time it displays the correct fields, but there after it always displays the fields of the first row selected.
    I have used the event HANDLE_DOUBLE_CLICK to capture the selected row and perform further processing. All the logic is working fine till the time the method u2018SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAYu2019 is called. The table passed to the method also contains the correct data, but while displaying the ALV pop-up display the old values.
    I have already tried REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY and the FREE destructor after displaying the ALV but nothing helps. Also the container and grid are created fresh each time the event is called.
    Please suggest possible solutions.
    Thanks in advance.

    Here's a sample of the code:
    [NSDateFormatter setDefaultFormatterBehavior:NSDateFormatterBehavior10_4];
    NSDateFormatter *dateFormatter = [[[NSDateFormatter alloc] init] autorelease];
    [dateFormatter setDateStyle:NSDateFormatterShortStyle];
    NSDate *date = [ dateFormatter dateFromString:@"7/4/2008" ];
    NSLog(@"string from date %@: %@ for locale %@", date, [dateFormatter stringFromDate:date], [[dateFormatter locale] localeIdentifier]);
    (the same code without the messed up forum syntax is at http://pastebin.com/f695ef95b)
    When I set my region (in the International system preferences) to be United States, it prints:
    2008-08-14 20:20:31.117 Date Difference[17226:10b] string from date 2008-07-04 00:00:00 -0400: 7/4/08 for locale en_US
    And when my region is United Kingdom, it prints:
    2008-08-14 20:19:23.441 Date Difference[17199:10b] string from date 2008-04-07 00:00:00 -0400: 07/04/2008 for locale en_GB
    It looks like the NSDateFormatter is insensitive to the change of regions. Notice that the raw printing of the date is properly switching with the region, though.
    What do I have to do to get the NSDateFormatter to respect the region setting?

  • URGENT: Date format in Reports Giving me trouble...plz help me out

    Hi guru's Can any one help me out
    I
    n the front end apps we are getting the date value as
    BOM_SRS_DATETIME_STANDARD
    Where we are entering the date value as MM/DD/RRRR HH24:MI:SS
    The date format set in the company is like RRRR/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS
    SO I format masked the date parameter in .RDF to RRRR/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS format.
    While the actual date format in the data base is like DD/MM/RRRR HH24:MI:SS.
    I checked all the old reports and the date format is like they masked the date format to company format and used the afterparameter trigger like bellow:
    if :P_SENT_DATE_FROM is not null and :P_SENT_DATE_TO is null then
    :P_SENT_DATE_TO := :P_SENT_DATE_FROM;
    end if;
    if (:P_SENT_DATE_FROM = :P_SENT_DATE_TO) and (:P_SENT_DATE_FROM is not null) then
    :WHERE_SQL := :WHERE_SQL || ' AND CREATION_DATE = '||' to_date('''||:P_SENT_DATE_FROM||''''||','||'''DD-MON-RR'')';
    else
    if :P_SENT_DATE_FROM is not null then
    :WHERE_SQL := :WHERE_SQL || ' AND CREATION_DATE >= '||' to_date('''||:P_SENT_DATE_FROM ||''''||','||'''DD-MON-RR'')';
    end if;
    if :P_SENT_DATE_TO is not null then
    :WHERE_SQL := :WHERE_SQL || ' AND CREATION_DATE <= '||' to_date('''||:P_SENT_DATE_TO ||''''||','||'''DD-MON-RR'')';
    end if;
    end if;
    I tried this but i couldnt get the output either.
    I am pretty much confused.
    Plz help me out...

    If you want to use a dynamic where caluse in your report query you can use a Reference Cursor using REF CUR QUERY tool in your report like this :
    function QR_1RefCurDS return DEF_CURSORS.CHARACT_REFCUR is
    temp_CHARACT DEF_CURSORS.CHARACT_refcur;
    begin
    IF :FROM_NO IS NULL AND :TO_NO IS NULL THEN
    open temp_CHARACT for SELECT ACCT_CODE, ACCT_NAME
    FROM CHARACT
    ORDER BY ACCT_CODE;
    ELSIF :TO_NO IS NULL AND :FROM_NO IS NOT NULL THEN
    open temp_CHARACT for select ACCT_CODE, ACCT_NAME
    FROM CHARACT
    WHERE ACCT_CODE=:FROM_NO
    ORDER BY ACCT_CODE;
    ELSIF :TO_NO IS NOT NULL AND :FROM_NO IS NOT NULL THEN
    open temp_CHARACT for select ACCT_CODE, ACCT_NAME
    FROM CHARACT
    WHERE ACCT_CODE BETWEEN :FROM_NO AND :TO_NO
    ORDER BY ACCT_CODE;
    ELSIF :TO_NO IS NOT NULL AND :FROM_NO IS NULL THEN
    open temp_CHARACT for select ACCT_CODE, ACCT_NAME
    FROM CHARACT
    WHERE ACCT_CODE<=:TO_NO
    ORDER BY ACCT_CODE;
    END IF;
    return temp_CHARACT;
    end;
    But first you have to declare a cursor type in a package
