I have a table named as employee.I'm using forms6i.
i want to display all this employee names in runtime using [list item or text item]
how can i do this?

My requirement is that the "Employee Name" linked in Item master have to be displayed next to the item in MRP Order Recommendation Report.
I have created a header level UDF "Employee Name" in Item master and have selected an employee in this field. I have also created another UDF in Order Recommendation Report as "Internal Buyer" as a column. But the employee linked to the Item is not getting displayed in the Order Recommendation Report.
FMS query used in "Internal Buyer" is

Change display pattern at run time

I have a date/time field which has display pattern set as MM/DD/YYYY...
During run time, if user clicks on a check box...the display should change to DD/MMM/YYYY...How can i do that?

You can do this with a little bit of script on your check box's Click event (in FormCalc in this example):

The trick is to know that in XFA, what Designer refers to as the "Display" picture is the <format> node which contains a <picture> which, in turn, contains the "display" picture; or, the picture used to
format the field's value for display purposes.

How to display "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog?

I'm learning how to develop an IVI-C specific driver using LabWindows/CVI. When I run my function from its function panel and it returns an error, I would like to display a dialog with both the error code and error message (as opposed to simply returning an error code on the function panel). This would save the user from having to call Prefix_error_message() to translate the error code to its error message. NI-DCPower driver is a good example of this behavior (see attached error dialog). How do I show the "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for replying to my post. The checkErr is just an error handling macro defined in ivi.h to goto Error: tag when the function returns a non-zero value. I have been using the checkErr macro (as well as viCheckErr and other macros) in my driver.
Using the same hp34401a specific driver as an example, please allow me to explain my question in more details:
Let's take the hp34401a_close function as an example. It is a simple function with only a few lines of code:
When the hp34401a_close function is run from its front panel using an invalid session handle (e.g. "8" in this screen capture):
You will get three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs, one from each of the IVI library functions that it calls: Ivi_LockSession, Ivi_UnlockSession, and Ivi_Dispose. However, there is no "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialog from the hp34401a_close itself.
My IVI-C specific driver is behaving identical to the hp34401a specific driver.
In comparison, if run niDCPower_close function from its front panel using an invalid session handle (using the same "8" in this screen capture):
You will only get one "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" from the niDCPower_close function itself:
I think the behavior of niDCPower driver is much better than the hp34401a driver. It replaces the three "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error" popup dialogs from the IVI library with a single "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" popup dialog from the driver function itself. I would like to do the same thing with my driver but have not figured out how to display a "Non-Fatal Run-Time Error In Function Panel" dialog. Thanks in advance for your help!

Display employee names with SA profile

I am looking at implementing structural authorisations and restricting users to thier own org units. So they will only be able to view employee details of users in thier org unit but there is a need for users to look at employee names throughout the whole organisation. Currently I am testing with 3 PD profiles, 2 allow different org units (P1 and P2) and the other allows access to all organisation (P3). The problem comes when i give access to a user to P1 and P3 or P2 and P3, they are able to see all employee's and all the infotypes that they have for thier own org unit.
Does anyone know how to allow users to display name of employee only throughout the org structure whilst restricting acess to thier own org unit?

Hi there, Assuming the users will be access BI : If the end user access in the HR system (structural authorisation) is similar to what is required in BI.eg A user in the HR system can see You can bring the structural authorisation into BI via standard extraction enabling cross system consistency.
If the access to BI is different to HR - complexity will increase! You could create different reference employee name characteristics for the PD profiles. This will increase complexity and admin.

The browser is not displaying the forms run time

I am using "Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)" and i have set mozilla as my default browser.I have downloaded jinitiator 1.3.1.22.But when i run my form it shows me blank applet with done,means it does not show me any output.Kindly help me.

Don't use Jinitiator, use Sun JRE.
Then, be sure that you have the correct Java version in your formsweb.cfg.
If you google for "oracle forms sun jre" you will find plenty of postings on how to set up the config file for IE and Mozilla.
A tip: if you are sure all the clients have the correct jre version (e.g. 1.6.*), skip the version altogether in the Mozilla section:
--jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.4.2_06

Songs in iTunes display the wrong run time

I recently acquired a large amount of new music from my job, but there's a problem with some of the songs. Many of them appear to be much longer than they actually are. As in, the time that it shows for the song is higher than the actual length of the song. What happens when you try to play the song, is that it will play the song like normal, and when it gets to the end it will go to the next track. However, you can't pause or fast forward without jumping to another place in the song. Some albums have this flaw, but not others.
There are also a couple songs that are longer than iTunes says they are. These songs will continue to play even after it has supposedly reached the end.

that is a link to one of the songs with the flaw. the actual track is :45 but iTunes says it's 2:45.

I've been having the exact same problem. I think its definitely a problem with iTunes since the files work perfectly on WMP. I found that I can fix my files by right clicking on them in iTunes and converting them to .mp3's. Kind of a hassle because you need to go delete the original files and reorganize otherwise you will have duplicates, but at least they'll have the right runtime.
Not ideal but a fix nonetheless.

Scenario:
When the JSP page is generated and i enter a date value like (08-SEP-00) and click on the "Submit" button, i get the following error.
Error Name: "Run-Time Error: NLSformat is undefined"
The relevant generated HTML line in the page which has the NLSformat in itis as follows:

Is NLSformat something to do with the datefield ? - I was reading thru the OTN docs, does NLSformat need to set up as a startup parameter in the 8i instance? - is that the way the JSP engine picks up the value/definition of the NLSformat variable? - I would really appreciate some replies on this issue.

My formula is as follows:{@Full Name} & ' - ' & {table.EMPLOYEE NO}and in the group tree you will see it asjohn,smith - 140,742.00 but I want to display it as follows:john,smith - 140742, and I am using crystal XI Please anybody suggest how to achieve that.Thanks in advance

How to change Crystal Reports XI database name at run time from ASP code using ADO

Dear All,
I need advises regarding to my problem below
I have two database in same SQL 2005 SERVER for TEST01 and LIVE01 Environtment, and I've created more than 100 reports with Crystal Reports 11 and call it from ASP classic page.
The problem is how can I change a database from TEST01 to LIVE01 at the run time from ASP code as I already using TEST01 database on Crystal Reports and I do not want to set a new database location inside crystal for each reports

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I have the same problem when moving reports from development to Test to Production environments. If the DBName is not the same the report ignores the name provided at runtime.

Images are not displaying in the forms run time.

I am using forms 10.1.2.3.0 and database 11g in the windows XP platform.
I am not able to see the images in the buttons at the run time. I have done the following setup for the same but still I am not able to display images in the buttons. I have gone through all the previous threads for the same. Can any body suggest where I am doing the wrong?
1) Created one JAR file with the below command putting all the gif files in a folder (All the GIF files are in lower case). Kept this jar file in the forms/java folder. (When I am extracting the JAR file getting all the gif files and one more folder META-INF).

2) Modified the formsweb.cfg file as follows.

default.icons.iconextension=gif
Start the OC4J instance, and run the application, but still not able to see the images in the buttons. After I modified the regedit file I am able to see the images in the design time but not in the run time.
Any thing more needed to do the same. All the suggestions are welcome.

ALV GRID Display function module giving Run time error

Hello Experts,
I have ALV report, In which I am using ALV grid dispaly FM to display the report.
But when my out table which I am passing to FM is empty that time ALV grid display shows blank ALV report. but when out table is not empty that time I am getting the Run time error, which shows message "Field symbol has not yet been assigned".

I'm receiving ABAP Run time error when display the Customs Exp. Declarations Under SAP Customs Processing -> Customs Processing - Import / Export -> Monitoring.
Error messaging point to Function Module - /SAPSLL/CUHD_LOAD_SELECTION.
While debugging we found that Primary Key of the below structures are not the same
lt_corpar                              type      /sapsll/corpar_t
lt_corpar_ht      type      /sapsll/corpar_k02_ht
Does anyone has the SAP Notes or solution to this issue other than changing the structures manually. I'm not sure about the impact if i change manually
Error message short details
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "/SAPSLL/SAPLCUHD_SELECTION" - in
     "/SAPSLL/CUHD_LOAD_SELECTION".
    The main program was "/SAPSLL/CULO_DISPLAY_CUS_EXP ".
    In the source code you have the termination point in line 144
    of the (Include) program "/SAPSLL/LCUHD_SELECTIONU01".
We are on GTS Release 8.0 and Support Package SAPK-80014INSAPSLL (Support pack level 14).

Hi,
I have implemented SAP Note 1531799, but it hasn't resolved the current issue.
For Our GTS instance, there are 2 Feeder Systems (ECC) attached, but document transfer in one of the system has not been activated. Both having the same partner functions ( We copied the sandbox into 2 different instances for different business Testings and now these 2 instances attached to GTS for testing). These feeder systems have different Logical system names and Logical system groups.
Recently i have implemented SAP Corrections manually for one the issue, Please see below thread for the detail information

After implementing the corrections, i have created Pro-forma invoice in ECC system. When i tried to display, i'm facing the ABAP Dump issues.

You tried to insert an entry into table "\FUNCTION=/SAPSLL/CUHD_LOAD_SELECTION\DATA=LT_CORPAR_HT". However, updating the unique table key "PRIMARY_KEY" resulted in a duplicate entry. The key concerned may be either the primary key or a secondary key.

How to get sequence name in run time.

I have several sub sequence called in the main sequence in TestStand. Those sub sequences have different sequence names, which i wanted to display by string indicator on the Labview Operator Interface. Is there a simple way to show the current calling sub sequence name during run time(run main).

Hi,
The easiest way is to use the NameOf() function. In this case where you wish to get the name of the current sequence the syntax NameOf(RunState.Sequence) yields the name. I attach a very simple example also.

How can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time

Hi All,
I want to craete a report on number of total business and system faults with the help of Information Publisher in OEM 12c Cloud Control. I am fetching data from the table composite_instance_fault present in SOAINFRA schema. Below os my SQL statement:-
select error_category,count(error_category) from prefix_SOAINFRA.composite_instance_fault where composite_dn=??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? group by error_category
Now I want to know that how can I map the composite_dn name with a composite in run time. When we fetch data from the repository we used to map target in rumtime by using ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? but here as I am not fetching data from repository, how can I map target in run time.
On executing the above SQL statement its returing an empty table without any data.
Please guide!!
