Display HTML returned from Webservice in iView

Hi,
I'm using the "Web Service System using WSDL URL" template to create a system to this webservice : http://www.webservicex.net/RssToHTML.asmx?WSDL.
Then I create an iView using the "Web Service iView" template.
It gets the results back fine , BUT I want the returned HTML to be displayed AS HTML in the portal , not as text in a standard portal "table/grid"
In other words , if the eg. results  are
<table>
<tr><td>Google News</td></tr>
<tr><td><a href="http://www.someurl.com">http://www.someurl.com</a></td></tr>
</table>
I want the iView to display the <b>rendered HTML</b> for ex:
Google News
<u>http://www.someurl.com</u>
and not the raw html to the user.
Please advise on solutions
Thanks

Hello,
you could generate proxy classes from  your wsdl file, and deploy it as a portal service.
Then you could use your portal service in an f.e. AbstractPortalComponent and just set the response as value of an htmlb TextView. You just have to set
the encode attribute of your textView to false and you will get your HTML rendered.

    hi all,
    adf11g how to open pdf or html files from webservice .

    Hi,
    This is standard functionality, that you can read more about in the OLM User Manual. You can upload the files to an OLM content server or to any other content server that can be accessed with a URL.

  • How to display HTML file from Unix server on UI at runtime

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to display  HTML files,  related to some particular person, on UI. The file is existing on a separate UNIX server and a file related to one person may have a lot of attached files as well , as is the case generally with HTML files, including pictures etc. So it is no use transferring file on my CRM system, as the files are kept separately on this UNIX server which is particularly for this kind of storage.
    I am able to show files residing on MIME repository ( I created some new HTML files )  of my CRM system on UI. but I don't know how to go ahead with this particular requirement.
    One idea is that I can map one folder of my application server to that unix server so that I can see the HTML files in this particular folder. but I don't know how to map MIME repository folder to application server directory or directly to the UNIX server .
    Please advise. Is my approach correct or is there any other way ?
    thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Maybe this is too simple, but have you got an HTTP server on the UNIX machine? You could simply link the URL into you CRM application and display the contents directly from UNIX.

  • How to display image returned from servlet?

    Currently: I am getting an image from a database and displaying it using the below code.
    Desired: I want to display HTML also, not just the image.
    response.setContentType("image/jpg");
    ServletOutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
    java.io.InputStream in = DatabaseClass.getImageStream(image_name);
    int bufferSize = 1024;
    byte[] buffer = new byte[bufferSize];
    int length = 0;
    while ((length = in.read(buffer))!=1)
      out.write(buffer,0,length);
    in.close();
    out.flush();
    out.close();I have read about doing this with the image tag (<img src=name.jpg), but this requires storing the image in a file on the server...which is not what I want.
    Any/All suggestions appreaciated. Thanks!

    The <img> tag doesn't necessarily require storing the image on the server. You can just as easily do this:
    <img src="/servlet/imageServlet" width="320" height="240" alt="My image" />

  • Displaying carriage returns from database query

    hi i'm fairly new to colfusion but have a good basic
    understanding.
    i'm trying to build a community website that has a guestbook
    and forums. i want to build these from scratch.
    i'm using cfmx7 and sqlserver 2005.
    the problem i'm having is when my cfm page retrieves posts
    made to the guestbook or forum, the carriage return characters are
    missing. posts are coming out all on one line.
    how do i get the retrieved posts to display new lines and
    paragraphs the way they were input into the database?
    just like these forums do?
    thanx so much. adella.

    Here is the code. Just replace body with your db field name.
    <cfoutput>
    #Replace(body, newLine, "<br>", "ALL")#

  • Since yesterday's (Nov 6th) update, firefox fails to load any sites from web (still displays html files from PC). I tried restore, didn't help.

    I've installed the recommended update yesterday (Nov 6th) but didn't restart Firefox. Since restarting the computer this morning, Firefox has failed to open any website from the web. The connection is ok, explorer loads the sites normally, Firefox opens tabs as normal, it's just that the content of the pages doesn't show up, and after a while we get messages like "connection timed out". HTML files that I have stored on my own hard drive display normally in Firefox.
    I tried "restore Firefox" but it didn't help.

    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • IPhone SDK - Display HTML page from WITHIN package

    Hi all,
    As part of my iPhone app, I want to display an HTML page.
    Now, I've got a browser component working just fine, and have no problem displaying anything on the web, but i don't know how to reference an html page that is WITHIN my application package.
    I'd much rather do it this way, so that my app can be used offline.
    I'm sure its a simple thing to do... anyone know what i need to do here to make this work?

    NSString *welcomeFile = [bundle pathForResource:@"welcome" ofType:@"html" inDirectory:@"files"];
    NSString *content = [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:welcomeFile]];
    NSString *baseUrl = [bundle pathForResource:@"files" ofType:nil];
    [webView loadHTMLString:content baseURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:baseUrl]];

  • Parsing HTML returned from CFHTTP

    I am trying to create a function that will parse out
    individual pieces of information returned by a cfhttp request. I
    need the name of the city, country, and state returned. I need the
    script to start at the word " CITY: ", " STATE: ", and " COUNTRY: "
    respectively and ends at <br>. I know I can use findNoCase to
    locate the start point, but how can I say 'get until you reach the
    next <br>' ?
    Here is my returned data (I bolded what I need returned):
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Geo Results</TITLE>
    </HEAD><BODY> VERSION=1.0<br> <p> TARGET:
    172.20.85.84<br> NAME: IANA-BBLK-RESERVED1<br> NUMBER:
    172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255<br> CITY:
    AMSTERDAM<br> STATE:
    NORTH HOLLAND (province) <br> COUNTRY:
    NL<br> LAT: 52.35<br> LONG: 4.90<br>
    LAT_LONG_GRAN: City<br> LAST_UPDATED: <br> NIC:
    RIPE<br> LOOKUP_TYPE: Block Allocation<br> RATING:
    <br> DOMAIN_GUESS: ripe.net<br> STATUS: OK<br>
    </BODY></HTML>

    This would probably be betters served by reFindNoCase()
    rather then the
    simplier findNoCase(). The former allows you to use regular
    expressions
    to find more complex strings. Something like
    "refindnocase("CITY:.*[^<]<br>",cfhttp.FileContent)"
    should be close to
    what you are looking for, but I am not supper efficient at
    regular
    expression code and this is untested and untried.

  • Displaying html stored in a database table in a region

    Hi All,
    I would like to pass html to regions on the page which is stored in a database table.
    I have got this working for simple html (call a packaged function to get the html and then in a PL/SQL Anonymous Block htp.p(f_get_html(:P1_param1,'REGION1')); to display it within the region ) but what I would also like to take the html generated for charts/graphs etc out of the application and also put them into the database table so that the position on the page can be determined by database tables.(i.e. have a page with lots of regions and assign html to them at runtime). I am struggling with substituting all the necessary parameters into the HTML returned from the database and how it should be formatted.
    Any help appreciated and if I get any further I will update the post

    I have actually managed to achive this now. When I get chance I will post the code.
    The idea is that a page could have say 6 regions and depending on choices made (i.e. selected project or the individual user permissions) there are regions which you would want to display and regions you dont. Also, you may want to move regions around the page so that the important ones for that user or project etc. are at the top.
    You can then, on entering a page, query database tables to decide what is to be displayed in region1, region 2 etc. and then getting the html from the database for that region and displaying it.
    I have successfully done this now with embedded Oracle Reports showing graphs which look better than the SVG graphs and are more flexible.

  • Popup LOV with same display and return values

    Hi
    I have created a List of Value using the following query.
    SELECT partner_name display, partner_name return
    FROM partner_table
    WHERE partner_name is not null
    order by 1
    The above query returns around 3000 rows of data. This has been linked to Item as Popup Key LOV(Displays description, returns key value). When the popup is selected the values are not displayed, only "Row(s) 1 - 10" and pagination buttons are displayed.
    Could anyone please suggest me with a solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Change the Next button label to remove the > character. This sounds like a familiar problem.

  • Problem to display Animated Gif from HTML into JEditorPane

    I have a problem displaying animated gif that comes from URL (HTML) into JEditorPane.
    Let me show you the source I have:
    * @author Dobromir Gospodinov
    * @version 1.0
    * Date: Dec 6, 2002
    * Time: 6:47:53 PM
    package test.advertserver;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.io.IOException;
    public class Test {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              JFrame frame = new JFrame();
              JEditorPane ed = new JEditorPane();
              try {
                   ed.setPage("http://localhost:8200/servlet?key=value");
              } catch (IOException e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              JPanel panel = new JPanel();
              panel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(500, 500));
              panel.add(ed);
              frame.getContentPane().add(panel);
              frame.pack();
              frame.setVisible(true);
    }Part of the returned from servlet HTML includes an img tag:
    <img src="/images/MyAnimatedGif.gif" alt="animated gif comment" width="480" height="50"  border="0">Let us assume that MyAnimatedGif.gif has 10 frames and gif is looped - when the 10th is dipslayed it has to display the 1st and so on.
    JEditorPane displays frames from 1 to 10 correctly but does not start from the first again. Instead JEditorPane displays a broken image.
    I locate where the problem arise:
    JEditorPane has an HTMLEditorKit that creates javax.swing.text.html.ImageView instance for every IMG tag.
    And here is the problem:
    ImageView has an ImageObserver necessary for the asynchronous image download. ImageObserver has the imageUpdate method. But this imageUpdate method is never called with ALLBITS flag raised up. Instead, after the last frame of MyAnimatedGif.gif is downloaded the imageUpdate method is called with flag ERROR raised up. Obviously this is a bug of Sun's implementation. Finaly the flag ALLBITS has to be received for normal end of image observing. But ALLBITS flag does not come.
    So, can anybody help me how to load an animated gif within JEditorPane completely.
    Thank You in advance,
    Dobromir Gospodinov
    P.S. If somebody of you wants to debbug what happens within ImageView will have to implement it (and related classes too, because of the limited package visability) borrowing the source from Sun's ImageView.

    I'm also having this problem with java 1.4.1 I discovered that some animated gifs work fine, while others stop animating. Running with java 1.3.1 fixed the problem. I'm going to report this as a bug

  • How to set a cookie in the browser from an html page called via an Iview

    How to set a cookie in the browser from an html page called via an Iview
    Hello all,
    I have an issue which is causing problems. I have a snap survey (html form with submit and cookie setting) which is embedded in a url iview.
    Although the submit and the form work fine, the portal will not allow the cookie to be set it seems.
    Is there a way to allow cookies to be set from an embedded page in a url iview??
    You will make my day if you know!
    System: EP7 SP13
    Kind regards
    Alex

    Hi,
    Check this:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/html/same_cookie_domain_with_pdkv2.html
    Cookie Basics
    Web browsers have built in rules for receiving and sending cookies. When a browser makes a request to a web server and the web server returns cookies with the response, the browser will only accept a cookie if the domain associated with the cookie matches that of the original request. Similarly, when a browser makes a subsequent request, it will only send those cookies whose domain matches that of the target web server.
    These rules are designed to ensure that information encoded in cookies is only "seen" by the web server(s) that the originator of the cookie intended. These rules also ensure that the cookie cannot be corrupted or imitated by another server. By default, the domain associated with a cookie exactly matches that of the server that created it. However, it is possible to modify the domain at the time the cookie is created. Relaxing the cookie domain increases the scope of the cookie's visibility making it available to a wider "audience" of web servers.
    For example, if a cookie is created by a.us.oracle.com, it's domain will usually be set to a.us.oracle.com. This means that the browser will only send the cookie to a.us.oracle.com. It will never send it to any other servers. However, if at the time of creation, the domain of the cookie is set to .us.oracle.com, the browser will send the cookie to any server whose domain falls within .us.oracle.com. such as portal.us.oracle.com, provider.us.oracle.com, app.us.oracle.com etc
