Display Image of ComboBox Item Selection

I want to display an image when the user selects an item from the ComboBox. Which Property should I use?

You don't say where the image comes from, how you want to display it, or how the image is related to the selection in the ComboBox. However, you can handle the ComboBox SelectedIndexChanged event and out you code to display the image in that handler.

You cannot use the load event on a frame, because by the time
the code runs the component has already been loaded. But what you
can do is set the properties directly in that frame wihtout the
need of a listener. Simply write this,line instead of all the
previous code:
_root.cb.selectedIndex=3;

Cannot Upload or Display Image in blob Item.

I'm inserting a image in a blob item using oracle forms 10g and database 9i, everything is working fine except uploading image, i tried the below code it was opening file Open dialog and as soon as i select the image to insert into the image item it will not shown anything at all in image item.

I dont unserstand the problem you are facing. please paste your SELECT query and then explain the problem. then it will be easy for analysis.

Displaying Images in my GUI

I have created a GUI that lets me display images that a user selects from a file. However is it possible to display an image that has not yet been written to a file?
I have a class that takes an image object, perfoms operations on it then maps this to a new image object. Would it be possible to display this image before it has actually been written to file? If anyone out there has ideas i'll be very grateful.
Here is an example of how I map one image to another:

I am having a path which is stored in SAP database which i have fetched in the reported in both alv heriarchal and also in Alv Grid . The Image is stored from DMS . Now what i am doing is i am trying to load a excel file from program BCALV_BDS_UPLOAD and when i run my report and go to view and select Microsoft Excel option the I am getting an error Bad file format .

Apex 4.0 display image item :BLOB column returned by SQL statement

I'm creating an display image item in apex 4.0. The source is a BLOB column returned by SQL statement.
When I'm issuing an sql statement like this:
   select lado.blob_content
   from   large_documents      lado
   ,        large_doc_headers    ladh
   where lado.ladh_nr = ladh.nr
   more criteriait works fine.
When I create a function inside a package with the same query (in a cursor)
function get_image(some parameters in) return blob
Following in apex by:
select get_image(some parameters) from dualI get a
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too smallAnybody any idea why this does not work?

Hi Eric,
the environment assumes varchar2-output by default, which will be limited to 32767 characters and may have problems with binary formats. You could define a blob-variable to select the value into.

/If you expect the BLOB-Content to be text (you should consider CLOB then), you may use UTL_RAW.CAST_TO_VARCHAR2 to convert the content. If your object is larger than the maximum varchar2 size, or you want to convert BLOB to CLOB, you might be interested in some converter like described here: {message:id=559749}

i have a pageitem textbox called SearchBox , a Button called Search and a Display Image called Image
i to display and image upon inserting an ID into the searchbox. It work alright if i put a static ID in the BLOB Column returned by SQL statement in Display Image
Note the facialimage of datatype BLOB
Sample

But when i do it with a bind variable like the pageItem SearchBox
it doesnt on the click of the Button
what can be the problem

Display infopath form in listview, select item to populate the form

Hi-
I once used a list where if you selected the list item by clicking a <-> button,it then populated the infopath form on that page. I have a page with two webpart zones, one for the list and one for the related infopath form. How can i connect the webparts,
so when i select a single list entry the infopath form populates?
I cant remember the tutorial i once found, loved this feature.

Hi,
That icon comes up when you connect the InfoPath form web part with the list web part. The view that is displayed on the Infopath web part will populate with the list item selected in the list view. When creating the connection, choose the option to Get
form data from and it will automatically select the Infopath on the page. This is a similar post but done in O365.

I guess it is because of some carriage returns in your dynamic img tag that is being generated may be not, so make sure there are no breaks half-way through he attributes of the img tag.

Alternative method for displaying images blobs stored in DB

I am trying to use an Application Process as a means to displaying images stored in BLOB columns in my table. And it works except for one problem. The code for my on-demand Application Process is below (the name of the application process is OUTPUT_IMAGE):

The question/problem is: How can I pass the ID of the record (whose BLOB I want to display) to the Application Process? (In the code above you'll see the value of 260 is currently hard coded). I thought about tacking on something like "&my_id=xxx' to the end of the URL but doing so prevents the Application Process from even running. 
All comments/suggestions much appreciated,

The URL for an Application Process uses the standard f?p syntax.
Try passing your value like this:
< img src="f?p=[my_app_id]:0:[the_session_id]:APPLICATION_PROCESS=OUTPUT_IMAGE:NO::MY_ID:[the value to send]"> You would need to have an item called MY_ID.
Your query could then refer to it as
WHERE id = :MY_ID;
