Display of data from DB table to screen

i have added two date fields to the table MBEW by including a structure with 2 date fields. i want the data to displayed on the screen when the user retrives data.
when i enter any data it gets saved in the DB table but when i try to read it from screen fields the date fields dont display any date they remain blank. i have set the attributes as input and output for the screen fields .
please tell wats the problem.

Hi archana,
          You have extended the standard table rt?
So when you added these fields to the screen what is the reference structure you have taken to point to the screen fields.
And does ur work area SAP contains ur custom fields?
and also there is a standard procedure to extend the SAP screen.

    I have a requirement in ADF. I need to change the data of a table  based on row selection of another Table . Both the table have a Parent Child relationship between them. They have a common attribute say department_id.
                                                                                         For this I created bind variable in view object of employees table and wrote a where clause in the sql query using that bind variable. Then I created method for selection listener of department Table in java bean.
    My method is following

    It is printing the selected value of department id from department table in the log. But it is not able to pass the value to employees view. It is showing the following error in the log
    "Definition DepartmentId of type Variable is not found in EmployeesView1."
    I will be very thankful if someone helps me to solve this errror or is there any other way to achieve the same requirement.

    Note quite sure why you simply wont create a viewlink for the viewobject the tables are based on..
    The viewlink attribute will be based on the departmentId and it's a simple master detail relationship which automatically uses ppr.
    However, if both tables are on the same page; using your hack about;
    On the underlying viewobject, define a viewcriteria e.g. "listById" and set your bind variable here.
    I would bind table two to a RichTable component:

    Hi rajesh,
    It seems that you didn't click query data using storage emulator. But I recommend you could use the azure server explore in your VS to view your data and query data. Please see this document (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/ff683677.aspx).
    And base on my experience, you may need input the command on Azure storage emulator, such as this page(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/gg433005.aspx).

  • Data from another table, to be displayed on table based screen

    I have a block that is based on one table, if I found the record(s) on that table I will display it on the forms, No Problemo. But, if record(s) was not in the said table, I have to get the data on another table and then display it on the same forms. Is there someone who can show me how I can get the data from another table and display it on screen that is based on another table?

    suppose you have 2 table emp_n and emp with same table structure
    first check data from emp_n if not found then go to emp
    try it:-
    you will change block name at run time(query data source)
    by
    emp_n is old
    emp is new
    set_block_property('emp_n',QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME,'emp');
    if no data found in emp_n table then
    change the block query name by
    set_block_property('emp_n',QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME,'emp');
    in next try it will go to emp table for fetching record

    Define a function code 'SHOW' for your button. In your PAI module, when you check for various sy-ucomms, check for 'SHOW' also.
    Your code will be like this:
    Case sy-ucomm.
      when 'SHOW'.
         perform show_details.
    endcase.
    In the perform, you can fetch the data from the table and put it in global variables. In the PBO, move the data from the global variables to the screen fields so that they get displayed on the screen.

    **  Can we Fetch the data From Standard Table and fill the Node in BOPF, Is this possible as the standard Table do not contain KEY field which BOPF uses for Data Fetching ?

    In my Requirement I want to make ROOT Node as Transient Node.
    When I create a Sub Node to a Root Node, I am able to get this option to make this sub node as a Transient Node .
    By selecting   'Standard<-->Extended' option in the Menu item 'GoTo' I am able to get this Transient Node check box field for the Sub Nodes.
    I want to make a ROOT Node as a Transient Node.
    (Which Version you are using, and which transaction you are using to create BO . we are using BOBX Transaction, Version Ehp 6 )

  • Pull data from SQL Table and display it in mail

    I have a requirement to pull the data from SQL table and send it in email.  Currently I am sending the hard coded info in email but is it possible to pull some data from SQL Table and than format it and send it across in the same email?

    There are several ways to do this.  First is to populate a file in a data flow and then send that as an attachment in the send mail task. 
    As far as including the results in the email body this becomes a bit trickier.  To use a variable you would need to use an SSIS variable type of
    Object, this is similar to a collection in .NET.  The problem once the object is populated is that it isn't like a readable result set, but again more like an array or a collection.  There is no native method to take the object variable and
    specify .ToString() or cast its results as text.  You would need to iterate through each row and append it to another variable of type string, this could be done with a script task or ForEach container.
    Also you mentioned formatting the results.  What type of formatting were you looking for.  A limitation of the SMTP send mail task is that the message body doesn't support HTML so if you were looking at creating a table within the mail body you
    would have to use a script task or a custom component
