Display Row Level Data in Title UDF

Hi,
The requirement is in SAP 8.8 PL 15. I have created an UDF in Marketing Documents - Title and would like to display the Location Code from the Rows (1st row) in that UDF using FMS.
I have a query that is: select $[$38.2000002049.1]
But it gives the error: Internal Error (3006) occurred. [Message 131-183]
This query worked in SAP 2005B PL 27. Can any one please help?

Hi both the codes to fetch the line item's data -
select $[$38.1.0]
or
select $[$38.1.1]
will work in any built-in fields on header part alike, but not in in any UDF.
If needed you can fetch any header level built-in fields value to the UDF by the following type code -
SELECT $[ORDR.CardName]
For your info - a few changes are there in 8.8 on this context.

Hi,
To achive what you want with a FMS, like Gordon said, only on the 2nd visit to the document you can fire a FMS to get the values from the database data.
You can have what you want if you use SDK to create a small Add-on for this.

Any way to display row-level errors in AdvancedTable from ProcessRequest?

I have a page which displays data in an Advanced Table. Users are also able to edit the data on each row, and then save. Upon saving, it will validate the data, and display row-level errors (via either OARowValException or OAAttrValException). That's all working fine.
The issue I have, is that sometimes data can become invalid from outside of this particular screen. So when a user opens the screen, some of the data displayed is already invalid. If the user saves, without changing anything, they'll see the errors. I want to show the errors immediately, without them having to save on every range of records. So I basically want to re-validate everything when it is first displayed, so from ProcessRequest. Is there any way to actually do that? I've tried several ways, but nothing seems to work.

Relationship between header and row level data.

Hi all
I need to know how to relate a field in the header level and the row level...
On my row level i want the route id to be related to the route name field at the header level...instead of showing this route id it must show only the header so...based on the row level data the header must change...
I tried insertin the field but when i do a relate to on either fields its showing me only fields on that catagory ( Header only or Row Level only)

The Header is evaluated and printed first and then only Repetitive area is computed and printed. You cannot try to arrive header based on the Repetitive area.
Please explain in detail which screen etc.. so that we can suggest some work arounds

They're called ResultSets and they are returned when you execute a query from a Statement. The next() method will tell you whether or not you have another row of data to read.

How to set up row-level data security in BO XI r2

I need to get Data/Row level security into my BO XI r2 report.
A logged in user should be able to view info on pertaining to him without refreshing it.
how do i incorporate this feature into my report?
its possible to do this by setting a filter using the currentuser() function.
however it requires a refresh of the report.
hence the new user shall be able to view the data of the previous user. i need to enforce more security on the data. How do i do this???

1) For those users with NO LIMITS APPLY (i.e. Admin staff) hard code an absolute range of RC codes from '----' to 'ZZZZ' to ensure you trap all possible alpha-numeric values.

Q- Can the tables from which report data is fetched be included in the Universe? or should they be part of cv_secured_detail view.
A- I'm not sure if I understand your question, but I might phrase it another way - Once you create the cv_secured_detail view, and the Universe from this view, with the user = 'BOUSER' limiter. The universe is then used to design the CR, by virtue of it belonging to the CMS Repository, you as the report designer have to log into the CMS repository using your LDAP credentials, if a match is found against the cv_security view your data is automatically row-level secured. In outher words, whatever is declared in the view, is in the universe, and is ultimately available to the report.

How to display rows of data into different columns?

I'm new to SQL and currently this is what I'm trying to do:
Display multiple rows of data into different columns within the same row
I have a table like this:

Display rows affected data from MySQL statement??

Hi,
Im trying to get the return data from a MySQL database, such as the ROWS AFFECTED into after an INSERT sql command.
Could anyone help me? I mean I know its easy in PHP to use the "mysql_affected_rows" command, but how do you do this in Java?

executeUpdate will return the affected row count for insert, update, and delete statements. Is that what you're after?

KunwarWhy you want to do it? What's the business need? Without importing, its not possible to read the dump file * .

How to process double click on rows of data displayed on html page?

I need to display rows of data so that user could double click on a particular row to get more details.
What I could think of doing is to embed an applet with a JTable that could easily process double click event. But the issues I have are:-
1. I am not able to pass the data (the jsp got from processing some javabeans) to be displayed on the applet's table. It seems the applet needs to get loaded on the user's browser first and then the applet could ask the server (servlet / jsp) to send the data.
Is there any way to provide data to applet other than html's parameter/value pairs?
2. As per design, this applet should be used only to display the content. Double click on a row would only open a browser window to display the entire details of the data; there should not be any interaction with the server.
Is there a better, more elegant way of doing this?

It uses the ObjectOutput/InputStream so you can send serializable objects rather than just text.

Approval in Row level

Dear Frnds,
I want to create one approval process in sales order.
In sales order row level i have one dimension named as SBUHead,For multiple items there should be only one SBU Head for ex :- "KA" and i enter their as "KA", so approval should gone to SAP userid "KA". When we login through KA in SAP then i should get that approval alert.
Is it possible or not? if yes then how to write the query for it?

Approval Procedure does not work on row level data. It might work when there is only one row but not when there is more than one.
To block the transaction using the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification Stored Procedure.
For Ex:
Approval for Discount in Sales Doc.:

Auto fill Row level UDF from Header Level UDF

Hi,
I have a header UDF (U_BU) and Row UDF (U_BU).
Each time I add a row (item or service type) I want the row UDF to be loaded with the header UDF data, using a formatted search on the row UDF.
I also want the user to be able to change the ROW UDF if it is not meant to be the same as the header.
Could someone help on this?

->> Auto Refresh of Item Description.

or
for example, use variable
(because this method of FMS will work all marketing doc.)
SELECT $[$33.0.U_BU]
->> Assign the FMS in UDF on item rows.
1. Goto the UDF and Click ShiftAltF2.
2. Select the SEARCH BY SAVED QUERY.
3. Assign the FMS Query.
4. Select the AUTO REFRESH WHEN FIELD CHENGES.
5. Select Item Description.
6. Check the Display Saved Values.

How to avoid seeing data for a particular member in the row level

Hello,<BR>I am using Essbase. In that i am having members like taks n/a, demand n/a. Purpose of these members are, if i load data for demand, task wont have data so i am mapping to task n/a.And same for the task loading.I am using alphablox for reporting and report script for retriving the data.So, if i select the task n/a and demand n/a then some value will be existing for this. Is there any possibility to remove this from report.I mean while seeing in the report, it should not get this member and respective value for display and also avoid taking this data for any manipulation.I know RESTRICT for column level data. Into the rule containing the Color metadata, you can restrict the values of the list.
In "Has restricted list and pane", list the values 1, 2 and 3 (new line for each value) :

How to update UDF based upon the row level dimensions.

Hello Experts,
I have made 4 new udf at Sales Order. Its displaying at Righthand side under General Category.
Now at row level im entering item detail, and other things with 4 profit center vaues.
So i want that if i enter value in those 4 proft center in row level then it should automatically update those 4 udf with that value.
It always happen in Add mode of SO, if SO open in update mode then i can update those udf with other values also, which can be differ then row level profit center values.
If we need to create any trigger or any query for that, then guide me for that.
