Display rows according to conditions

Hi
I have a requirement where i need to display the rows and corresponding values depending on the condition.
I need the Count of As and Bs whose aggregate spend sum for transactions in the specified calendar year falls within spend ranges. The ranges will continue to increment by 500 until all As and Bs are accounted for.
for example there are 20 transactions falling within the zone of 100-500, 10 transactions falling with in the range of 501-1000 this will continue untill all the records are checked. the catch here is the MAX value range that we can get is unknown. it may be 1000, 5000 or 10000. So, the row has to be displayed dynamically along with their corresponding counts.
each range is displayed in each different rows.

Could you edit your post (edit button in top right of your post) and put {noformat}{noformat} tags around your data and query.
So you've shown use what output you are getting, how about showing us, or highlighting which of the rows you want returned so it's clear to us.

Table Control - Input Enabling/Diabling of Rows based on Condition.

Hi,
In the TC, I want to Input Enable/Disable the rows based on Conditions. The First row is input enabled always. But the other rows, (2nd onwards) need to be Input Enabled/Disabled based on some conditions. It is possible to make this working. Can you please provide me a suitable solution for this?

Hi Kannan...
If we are talking about "Rows"...
then identify based on some conditions the row numbers and in PBO...loop at screen with screen name..set thier input properties and modify screen (make them input only)
If we are taking into consideration "columns"
There is an internal structure COLS where we can identify column number of screen name ...or we can take except for one particular column..
if some condition satisfied....
loop at screen where screen-name <> "Column which is input'.
Loop at screen...and make other columns display only.
modify screen
endif.

Table Rows with Multiple Conditions Not Showing Up in RH

Hi everyone,
I'm currently evaluating TCS2 (Framemaker 9 and RoboHelp 8 on Windows XP) and have come across the following issue:
One of our FrameMaker source files contains a table in which one of the rows has multiple conditions applied. When one of the conditions is shown in Framemaker, and the others are hidden, the row is displayed in Framemaker as expected. However, when the file is then imported or linked into Robohelp, the same table row vanishes, even though the Apply FrameMaker Conditional Text Build Expression check box is selected in the Framemaker Conversion Settings > Other Settings screen. This only appears to affect table rows - when paragraph text is tagged with the same conditions, it is imported correctly into RoboHelp.
For example, when Condition B is shown and Condition A is hidden in the Framemaker file, the content appears like this in Frame:

When the same file is imported into RoboHelp, the row with both conditions applied is absent from the table:

Installing patches 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 did not resolve the issue (and actually caused other, unrelated issues) and I see the same behavior regardless of whether I import or link the FrameMaker document.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.

It just seems that the items I select as align to top in the
property inspector should force the items to the top of their
cells, unless I'm missing something.

I am assuming that you are using a conditional formula to suppress the details section. If that is the case then add the conditional suppression logic to your running total formula. For example;
WhilePrintingRecords;
Numbervar x;
If Not (condition for suppression) then x:=x+1 else x;

Number of currently displayed rows in report with pagination?

Maybe I'm thinking to complicated, but ...
In my report I use the HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX function in order to display a checkbox for each row:

Some of the checkboxes are selected depending on whether there is an entry for them in a database table.
As the report returns hundreds of rows, I use pagination (e.g. 15 rows per page).
After checking/unchecking the checkboxes and submitting the page by clicking the save button, I want to do the following: For each row CURRENTLY DISPLAYED on the screen (1) check, whether its checkbox is currently checked or not (2a) If it is checked and there is not yet an entry -> add row to the db table (2b) If it is unchecked and there is an entry in the db table -> remove row from db table.
How can I, on the server side, find out which rows (row ids) are currently displayed (using pagination), so that I check each of the currently displayed row ids for their existence in the database table? Is there any item stored on the server side, which tells me the row number of the first row currently displayed? Is there an item I can refer to, which tells me the amount of rows, which are displayed on one page?
Your help would be very much appreciated!

I will jump in. :-) Just have a few minutes before a meeting.
I think you don't have to make it that complicated, where you have to know the current pagination.
1) Your HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX has to contain as checked value #ROWNUM# as the row selector would do it.
2) You have to create a hidden item where you store your customer id
3) create another hidden item where you store if the customer has already the assignment
4) In your process you are now able to loop through your arrays.

Problem with "PL/SQL Dynamic Content" and displaying rows

hi,
im new to APEX, and pl/sql [but not web dev or sql].
ive found the bit in APEX that lets you add data from your DB using the 'CREATE' > 'PL/SQL Dynamic Content'.
maybe there's a better option for people who dont know pl/sql? i dont know?
however, i think i can getting working with a little bit of help but im stumbling around in the dark a bit here.
ok so this is the pl/sql ive come up with to show three example values on page 23 of my aplplication:

im getting the error:

The easiest (and best) way to "display rows" is using a report. Dynamic PL/SQL regions are more complex and are required much less frequently.
The Oracle® Database 2 Day + Application Express Developer's Guide tutorial explains how to create reports and other basic APEX techniques.

Display records according month

i want to display records according months.
i created view something like this.

select pcd_plt_id,pcd_cbr_id ,sum(amount),item_date And here in this statement there are four columns. So which column is for item1
group by item1,item_dateHere you can use only selected columns in group by. But you are using item1 which you used above for view.
And in select there are three columns without aggregate function. And you are using only two here.
If you could post the table data and desired output. Then it will be easier to find better way.

How to change the number displaying rows in a table

i have a table for resources in Debrief Work order (Standard Screen), we need to change the default displaying rows. inistially it displayed 3 empty rows.
i tried to change the Records Displayed for the table but it did not affect.
also it is possible to change the "Add 3 rows" button in the table to add for example 5 rows instead?
any idea?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display language according to the user.
First, we can find out the current culture of the logged in user based on
LCID.
System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture.LCID
Then you can set the language based on the LCID.

Table is not the html element for you, in this situation.
I would use a dataList component (distributed with myfaces implementation).
dataList is able to return a list of item, and using css you will be able display in a horizontal grid. (otherwise you can use layout="grid" in dataList).
Anyway...my impression is that who made JSF was not really understanding how a html programmer like to write his code.
Why do JSF gives us only the possibility to write list of items throught tables?
Why do JSF prints error messages throught tables?
Why div is not a standard component?
This is an incredible lack...
I see also other incredible lasks...but they don't concern html ;) .
