Display single value with dimension filter selection

Hello,
I use Design Studio 1.3.
I want to display the correct single value after I choose a "Calyear" form dimension filter.
At the moment I can use the sum of all "Calyears"only.

I have create this Datasource:
In Script Editor I fill the value field with this Code:
DETAILS_VALUE_AE.setText(DS_3_AE_DETAIL.getData("00O2TF25Z6L0MSI7DYKIXACY3", {}).formattedValue + " EUR");
00O2TF25Z6L0MSI7DYKIXACY3 = Keyfigure "Aufragseingang"
Without filter the value is correct.
But when I filter (with dimension filter) the value doesn't works correct.
I think my code in script editor is not correct. Or must I use variables?

I want to display positive value with a trailing plus sign and negative value with a trailing minus sign. How can I do it? Is there any character in custom format for this? I don't want to convert number to text and use case statement because I need two decimal places and thousands separator.

Okay, try this...
You will need to do a "UNION ALL" of three queries, one for positive values, one for zero values, and one for negative values.
In the "negative values" query, do the following:
1) Add a filter on the measure for values "less than 0"
(This will ensure all values are negative.)
2) In the Data Format tab, select "Custom" and type in #,##0.00-
(This will add the trailing negative sign.)
3) In the Edit Formula tab, add the absolute value function, ABS(insert measure here)
(This will take get rid of the default leading negative sign.)
For the "positive values" query, modify the above as follows:
1) Change the filter to "greater than 0"
2) In the Data format, change the custom format to #,##0.00+
Step 3 is not needed since all values are positive.
For the "zero values" query, just add a filter "equal to zero."

Display Key Values only on filter screen

Hello all,
I have one specific requirement. When user runes any query (based on an infoset) , data is displayed. After which if user presses right clicks on data filed -> Select filter value. Then one Filter screen is displayed. Values from this filter screen are displayed as text values.
I want it to display as key value. This particular infoobject is in coumpounding.
I have already tried changing Bex properties at infoobject level and RSD1, it does not have any effect.
can anyone suggest any option.

Hi Priyanka,
In BI 7.0, these options are available in the definition of InfoProvider itself.
For DSO:
Right Click on Key/Data Fields --> Provider Specific Properties of the InfoObject --> Display (Column)
For Cube:
Right click on Dimensions --> Provider Specific Properties of the InfoObject --> Display (Column)
Set the required properties here and you will get the required results.

How to compare single value with multiple values

In my query I have something like this:
A.SOR_CD=B.SOR_CODE where A and B are 2 different tables. This condition is in the where clause. The column in table A has single values but some values in table B have multiple comma separated values (822, 869, 811, ..). I want to match this single
value on the left side with each of the comma separated values. Please let me know how will I be able to do it. The number of comma separated values on the right side may vary.

According to your description, you want to compare single value with multiple values in your query. Right?
In this scenario, the table B has comma separated values, however those comma separated values are concatenated into a string. So we can use charindex() function to return the index of the table A value. And use this index as condition in
your where clause. See the sample below:

Multiple Single Values with Select Options

I'm using the SELECT_OPTIONS to accept the multiple input values through CREATE_RANGE_TABLE and it is working well but
1) i have requirement for some input fields that should accept multiple single values means without RANGES(From .. To).. Usually we achieve this by statement SELECT-OPTIONS in ABAP, could you help me out how i can achieve same functionality in webdynpro application.
2) i'm using dictionary search helps for WD4A, here i need to select multiple rows in the F4 results.

Maximum number of "Single values" accepted in "Multiple Selection"

Hello gurus. I wonder if you could help me with this.
You know how in transactions like the Data Browser (SE16), you want to look up records in a table, for example MARA.
If you want to list only individual values, then you can press the yellow arrow to the right of the fields, and this opens the "Multiple Selection" window. In it you can add single values, ranges, etc.
My question is, what is the maximum number of single values that you can put in here?
For example, sometimes if I put like 5000 lines, instead of getting a result I get an ABAP runtime error that reads:
Runtime errors DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
"Error in the module RSQL accesing the database interface".
But if I put around 1500 or less, then I don't have that problem. It lists the results just fine.
How do I know what the maximum number of lines these functions allow?

I want to compare one value with multiple values, how can it possible ?
Here in attachment I tried to design same logic but I got problem that when I entered value in y that is compared with only minimum value of x, I don't want that I want to compare y value with all the x value and then if y is less then x while loop should be stop.
I want to do so because in my program some time I didn't get result what I want, for example x values is 4,5,6,7,8 and y value is suppose 6 then while loop should be stop but here it consider only minimum number and its 4 here so while loop is not stop even y is less then 7 and 8. So I want to compare y value with all the entered values of x and if y is less then any of x values then while loop should be stop and led should be ON.
Please guide me how can I do so.....

OBIEE 11g and Essbase and Dimension Filter / Selection Steps

We are doing a prototype using OBI 11g with Essbase 11.1.2 as a datasource. Our prototype consist of several reports, graphs and dashbaords. The Essbase cube is an ASO cube with 12 dimensions. Most of our dimensions are ragged/unbalanced so we have set up the dimension type to be "Value" in the RPD. There is one dimension - Product and it is a ragged dimension. We are trying to create a simple report that has level zero products as rows. This is something pretty easy to do in Essbase Financial Reporting but it does not look like there is an easy way to filter only on the Level 0 members of a particular dimension. I have tried with selection steps as well as changing the dimension back to unbalanced without much luck.
Has anyone out there done something similar before? Thx.

Check this out OBIEE 11g - Essbase connection Failed
And 1 more thing admin tool works only for 32-bit ...but not in 64 bit.So ensure you install 32-bit for admin tool.

Error displaying numeric values with SPREADSHEET output

Hi, I'm using Reports 10g R2 and I have all my reports with PDF output, they render just fine.
I want to render some of them with SPREADSHEET output but don't know why in some case numeric values are rendered as ****** instead of the corresponding number.
The same report shows numeric values correctly in PDF but no in some Excel cells, just SOME of them, not all.
I know that Excel column is not short because the internal value of the cell are the asterisks.
What could be happening?

What you are trying to do is create a value node and your code ABAP is wrong.
Here a code sample. Typed it by hand so there might be errors in it.
data:
ls_struct type /mystructure,
lr_struct_ref type ref to data,
lr_node type ref to cl_bsp_wd_value_node.
ls_struc-/attribute1/ = 'Hallo Welt'.
get reference of ls_struct into lr_struct_ref.
create object lr_node
exporting iv_data_ref = lr_struct_ref.
typed_context->/yourNode/->collection_wrapper->add( lr_node ).

Is this possible to show two tables in each report row? When i set selection formula to product name, it sets the same selection formula to all the fields in the report.

Can't you set the group to be on the category? Selecting the product name in the record selection formula will present only those product (as opposed to categories).
A subreport, as suggested, will work as well, but your stated record selection will continue to produce the same results - check that, too. Additionally, you could group on the category and add a group 'b' section (Section Expert; see the Help file).

How to display workitems values with Hyperlink in Oracle BPM workspace

Pop-up to display single button with some text

Hi gurus,
I need a pop-up to be displayed when MIGO is posted using an exit EXIT_SAPMM07M_001 .The pop-up window should contain the following .
line 1: TEXT1 with <variable1 in run time>
line 2 : TEXT2 with <variable2 in run time>
line 3: one push button (OK button)

Why dont you use Informational message which does exactly what you want to do.
Just take 1 or 2 variables with type string and get the information (text1, text2) run time - Concatenate them into a message then display message like
Message i000(message class) with <variable with text>.
instead of having a button for OK - just userhas to press enter - this will serves the purpose. When you want to 2 buttons go forr function module POPUP_TO_CONFIRM.

Were you ever successful in finding a fix for this? We have a similar requirement, but I'm not seeing anything where this can be done, either via personalizations or the Property Inspector in java.
One question I do have though, is if we do turn this on for our number values, and we have an Export to Excel function, is that going to cause the data to get improperly separated when the Export to Excel function is invoked?
