Hi
I think the problem is with your Java package
try again by closing ID and reopening again
if this doesnt work try to reinstall Java
or it may occure due to overflow of Java stack.
Just check

Error in outputting xml formatted data
Hello,
I'm trying to output xml formatted data using apex.
At about 70% into the formatted output I get this in the browser:

<DIVI have a 600 row table (dml below) with identical string in each row of the descript column. (I put in some special characters just to push it through the escape function for html. It is displaying the text correctly.)
The page has one report region (plsql below).
The page template is stripped down.
My local results are identical to the otn hosted workspace.
I did dump the table in xml format and displayed the dump file in browser without a problem, so I'm missing something in the code.
Thank you.

Regarding Displaying of outbound Idocs in XML format
Hi every1
i want to display my IDocs in XML format. I am using T.Code WE34, after that.... what i have to do. Please let me know whole procedure, because in SAP Library I am getting information about only Inbound; and i want to know about outbound Idoc. please reply me its urgent.
Thanks
Anil Behera.Hi,
Follow the procedure
IDOC to XML Convertion using ALE Interface
1) Send an outbound IDOC data(MATMAS) to a flat file(XML) on client1(SENDER).
Create File Port (WE21) of XML Type for outbound file.
Specify the Physical directory and file under the Outbound File tab
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for sender ->receiver system.
Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
You can use this program RBDSEMAT (t/code BD10) to generate IDoc MATMAS file(s).
_ Then you can FTP the file(s) to receiver system.
2) Upload the flat file as an IDOC on the inbound sytem
which is Client2(RECIEVER).
Create File Port (WE21) for inbound file.
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for receiver -> sender system.
Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
You can use this program RSEINB00 to upload IDoc MATMAS file(s).
A sample scenario for idoc generation
Sending System(Outbound ALE Process)
Tcode SALE ? for
a) Define Logical System
b) Assign Client to Logical System
Tcode SM59-RFC Destination
Tcode BD64 ? Create Model View
Tcode BD82 ? Generate partner Profiles & Create Ports
Tcode BD64 ? Distribute the Model view

hi all,
i am using Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.24.1 (Production)
Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
i have to generate a file in xml format.
but i between the file i am getting the following error
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
Whitespace is not allowed at this location. Error processing resource but before this error, i am the data what i suppose to get.
what this error means?
pleas help me to sort it out.
Thanks..
Edited by: GD on Apr 4, 2011 1:33 AMhi,
the error is due to the special character('&') which is present in the data. so these special characters has to be replaced.
the list of special characters are
& -&
< -<
->" -quot
' -'
so that special characters has to be replaced in xml conversion.
if any other special characters also involved then please let me know.
Thanks.. -
Display well formatted html error page; how to
I'm using Django for my backend and mostly getting XML responses to my HttpService requests. However when I get an error on the backend, The message in the fault event is relatively useless. To debug I have to copy the request string from the alert window and post it in a separate browser window to see the error traceback.
I'm using Django on the backend which gives a very nicely formatted error page but I cannot see that from Flex. I would like to detect the error and open a new browser window/tab and display the "pretty" info. Below is a snippet of what i'm doing now:
public function AssessmentActionServiceFaultHandler(event:FaultEvent):void {
Alert.show("FAULT "+event.message);
and I see something like this:

Concurrent request submission displays Output in xml format ?
Hi ,
I am submitting a concurrent request from workflow which is an xml publisher report . my problem when the program is run individually it displays the output correctly in rtf format but when the same request is submitted from worklfow the output comes in xml format ?
What could be the problem ?
I am using the standard submission "FND_WF_STANDARD.SUBMITCONCPROGRAM " program and assigning the values directly to it . the submission activity is working fine but the output comes as mentioned above.
Regards,
SkgKiran ,
I am not using fnd_request.submit request coc I don't need to capture the user information for my workflow .
I am only using the standard " FND_WF_STANDARD.SUBMITCONCPROGRAM " . this Package only submits the concurrent program through workflow in a function.
no need of backend programming.
My job is to submit and move to the next function . the output will be determined via custom profile option.
now, for this package I am directly assigning the values like appshort name , prog shrt name , and parameter.
there is no mention of layouts anywhere in the standard workflow package .
its very urgent for me friend.
Regards,
Shashank. -
Hi folks,
I am using a cascaded mapping in my OM. I have a graphical mapping followed by the Java mapping. It is a flat file to IDOC mapping. Everything works fine in Dev but when I transport the same objects to QA, the Operation mapping though it doesn't fail in ESR testing tool, gives the following message and there is no output generated for the same payload which is successfully tested in DEV. Please advise on what could be the possible reasons.
Unable to display tree view; Error when parsing an XML document (Premature end of file.)kalyan,
There seems to be an invalid xml payload which causes this error in ESR not generating the tree view. Please find the similar error screenshot and rectify the payload.

Problem with displaying XML Content well formatted.
Hi all,
I am developing a website which have one functionality to display XML content which is received from some other party.
I am using TextArea for displaying this XML content on my webpage. As this XML content is not at all formatted it looks very ugly for a human to read.
I want this XML content to be displayed well formatted, As Mozilla Firefox display it hierarchically and well formatted.
Kindly give some suggestion for displaying XML well formatted on a webpage.
Any comments from you people will help me.
Thanks
typurohit.The following link is a XML-based document. An XSL stylesheet transforms the XML document to HTML in the web browser. Feel free to grab a copy of the stylesheet to use as a guide.

How to fix iframe issue that displays XML values instead of formatted XML in IE11
The following sub.jsp file shows the formatted XML properly as expected when is opened directly:
<% response.setContentType("text/xml"); %>
<book>
<chapter1>chapter 1</chapter1>
<chapter2>chapter 2</chapter2>
</book>
IE11 shows the result as below which are colored and can be collapsed or un-collapsed:
<book><chapter1>chapter 1</chapter1><chapter2>chapter 2</chapter2></book>
But if the sub.jsp is opened in an iframe from the below main.html, it only shows the values of the XML in the iframe:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="ISO-8859-1">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
<title>Insert title here</title>
</head>
<body>
<iframe src="sub.jsp"></iframe>
</body>
</html>
The iframe shows only the XML values, i.e., chapter 1 chapter 2 in IE11. This issue does not happen in IE8.
I appreciate to your if you know how to address this issue.

Display sql output in xml format
Hi,
We are using Oracle 9i. I want to display output of a sql query as xml format.
I noticed EXTRACT function in SQL does this. Can anyone please explain XMLType instance and XPath string parameters of this function.
All of my table columns are NUMBER/VARCHAR2 data types and the table is also NOT a XML Type. Please let me know the solution.
Thanks.SQL> select dbms_xmlquery.getxml('select * from scott.emp where rownum < 3') from dual ;

DeleteXml() causing xml data format error in database
Hi, guys,
I'm using the oracle xml db 11g in my website application. Last week I found that using the deletexml() to delete a node in the xml may cause a terrible problem that the rest data in the database had wrong xml format. I wonder is it a bug when using binary xml storage.
My xml data is describe below,
<root>
<nodes>
<node id="1">
<name>John</name>
<age>16</age>
<hobby>football</hobby>
</node>
<node id="2">
<name>Alex</name>
<age>22</age>
<hobby>table tenisl</hobby>
</node>
<nodes>
</root>
I using deletexml() to delete just a node once time,
"update projects set object_value=deletexml(object_value, '/root/nodes/node[@id="1"]')"
Usually it successes and the rest data is as excepted, but sometime, I find that after deleting a node, any query in the database except "select * from projects" gets null. And the rest data has wrong format like below,
<root>
<nodes>
<node id="1">
<name>John</name>
<age>/hobby>
</node>
<node id="2">
<name>Alex</name>
<age>22</age>
<hobby>table tenisl</hobby>
</node>
<nodes>
</root>
Just one format error causes the whole xml data valueless, but it seems that in most time the deletexml() works well, does anyone knows what happens?
Thanks a lot.KnightOfBlueArmor wrote:
The better idea is to use XMLPatch() if you can.
XMLPatch?
Do you use it yourself on a regular basis?
Personally, I find it fun to use but the performance doesn't match my expectations (no piecewise update/streaming eval AFAIK).
