Displaying data in a temporary popup window

Hello
I have defined two vectors in a JDialog window and I have a button "View" on it.
Once "View" is clicked I want to show a popup window which shows the values of vectors in it.
I want to keep the data in the previous window i.e.JDialog as it is, when the popup is closed.
Is it possible ? Please give me a suggestion.
Thanks

But then, I do not know why you would expect the data or state of the JDialog to change in the first place.
* Besides a JOptionPane, you might investigate tool tips, or a JWindow/JFrame, though none of those will 'block' input to the JDialog in the same way as a JOptionPane (or a second modal JDialog) would.

    hi Chella Meenal ,
    you can generate the popup using popup factory class also , look at the below sample code for displaying message in a popup , and you can do your own configurating like visible , enable the buttons you want ..
    data:
        lr_component type ref to if_wd_component,
        ls_conf type wdr_popup_to_confirm,
        lt_texts     type string_table.
      ls_conf-window_position = '1'.
      ls_conf-button_1-text = 'OK'.
      ls_conf-button_1-icon = 'ICON_OKAY'.
      ls_conf-button_1-enabled = 'X'.
      ls_conf-button_1-visible = CL_WD_UIELEMENT=>E_VISIBLE-VISIBLE.
      ls_conf-button_2-visible = CL_WD_UIELEMENT=>E_VISIBLE-NONE.
      ls_conf-button_cancel-visible = CL_WD_UIELEMENT=>E_VISIBLE-NONE.
      lr_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
      append 'some text' to lt_texts.
      cl_wd_popup_factory=>popup_to_confirm(
          component        = lr_component

  • How to display value of variable in popup window

    Hi Experts ,
                   I need to display a variable which imported from call method and i have to display in popup window
               (  need code ) please help

    Hi Neeraj,
    You can use modal dialog box,
    create a view and window also that should be displayed as pop up in the same component and use the following code
    to display it.
    Concept is we are using the window that embeded with view is dispalyed as modal dialog box.
    Before calling the window, you should populate the data that mapped in the view.
    DATA lo_window_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_window_manager.
    DATA lo_api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component.
    DATA lo_window TYPE REF TO if_wd_window.
    lo_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
    lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
    wd_comp_controller->go_window
    = lo_window_manager->create_window(
    window_name = u2019POPUP_WINDOWu2019
    title = 'welcome'
    close_in_any_case = abap_false
    message_display_mode = if_wd_window=>co_msg_display_mode_selected
    close_button = abap_false
    button_kind = if_wd_window=>co_buttons_ok
    message_type = if_wd_window=>co_msg_type_none
    default_button = if_wd_window=>co_button_ok ).

  • Display data in pop-up graph window

    I am trying to display data continuously in a pop up chart. When I press a button the chart should pop up and show all the previous values as well as those being continuously generated. If possible I want to do this without using local or global variables. This question was asked before too at http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=315949&query.id=9049787#M315949    but I was unable to understand the proposed solution. I am a civil engineer, meaning it will be difficult for me to understand advanced concepts and at times even simple concepts related to computer programming.  I have attached two VIs just to illustrate what I am trying to do.
    Thanks

    Sorry, those uploaded VIs were just for a demonstration of my problem.
    As for the Untitled06, when I was trying them in my computer I had named it "Untitled06" but when uploading to this
    forum I changed the name. Forgot about the invoke node.
    What I was asking is, if it was possible to
    acquire data using one VI and show any temporary graph/chart in a
    separate subvi. I did it like attached. Seems like it will work for me.
    smercurio_fc  Thanks regarding the t0. I changed that in this version. Shipped LV examples haven't been a lot of help to me. Most of the time I cannot relate them to what I want to do. I generally prefer to use this forum.
    Any other (obviously better) solutions? then please do let me know. The only requirement is that chart should appear in a separate VI, it is just a temporary chart and I do not want it to take up space in my main VI front panel.
    Thanks

    Use should the ShowProperty servlet in a link or javascript, e.g.:
    <a href="/mywebapp/ShowProperty/path/to/pdf/node
    target="someOtherWindow">pdf</a>
    pdf
    Or, with dyamic node retrieveal (from search or contentSelector,
    assuming node is the pdf Node):
    <a href="/mywebapp/ShowProperty<cm:getProperty node='<%=node%>'
       name='cm_path' conversionType='url'/>
    target="someOtherWindow">pdf</a>

  • Date picker in a popup window

    Hi all,
    There are 2 pages, page 1 contains a button, when user click on it, a new window will popup showing page 2 which is a entry form has a date picker item.
    The javascript behind the button in page 1 is like: (in target URL field.)
    javascript:popupURL('f?p=101:2:&SESSION.');
    It works fine except the date picker window wouldn't popup again in the second page. If I run the 2nd page individually it works well, it doesn't work only if I run it in a popup window.
    Is this a bug or something? How can we fix it.
    Many thanks!
    Pete

    Hello Pete,
    >> It works fine except the date picker window wouldn't popup again in the second page. If I run the 2nd page individually it works well, it doesn't work only if I run it in a popup window.
    You are using the ‘popupURL’ function, which uses a hard coded value – WinLov – for the ‘name’ parameter. That could be a problem in a recursive call.
    Patrick solution is of course valid, but if you want to use a popup window format, try using the ‘popUp2’ function. The function generates a “random” name, so the problem should be solved.

  • BUG: iPad displays 1cm border around content in task flow popup window

    I have tried this out on JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0, 11.1.2.1.0 and 11.1.2.2.0 and each one seems to have the same problem. When displaying a taskflow in-line popup windows on an iPad (iOS 4.3.5 and iOS 5.1) a ~1cm border is displayed on the left, bottom and top of the window's content, with some of the content (also about 1cm) on the right being cut-off.
    I have also tried my app out on a Android Samsung Galaxy Tab (built-in browser), Android Samsung S1 (built-in) and on my Windows 7 PC in Safari and Firefox. None of these devices/browsers have this problem.
    To replicate this problem the following steps can be followed.
    1) Create a normal fusion web application.
    2) Add a wild card control flow rule to the default unbounded task flow.
    3) Add a new bounded task flow to the unbounded task flow.
    4) Set the bounded task flow 'Run as Dialog' to 'true' and 'Display type' to 'inline popup'.
    5) Link the wild card control flow to the bounded task flow.
    6) Add a single jsf page to the bounded task flow.
    7) Add a panel box to the jsf page (or any other content for that matter)
    8) Create a test page and add a button to it. Set up the button's action properties such that it opens the bounded task flow as a window ('UseWindow' - 'true'; 'WindowEmbedStyle' - 'window'; 'WindowModalityType' - 'modeless' and set width and height).
    Are any workarounds for this? Is there currently a available patch to fix this problem?

    Hi,
    Are any workarounds for this? Is there currently a available patch to fix this problem?
    if nobody dares reproducing this and filing it as a bug then a fix can take a while. I'll put it on a list of my follow ups, but this is not a high priority list. So if you can I appreciate if you can file the bug and provide a testcase. Note that 11.1.2 (11g R2) is not yet optimized for tablet PCs. So JDeveloper 11g R1 (11.1.1.6) is the build that should be used as a reference for filing the bug

  • TIP: Building Modal Popup Windows

    Build Modal Popup Pages
    Introduction
    The following is based on the 'How To Document' - 'Build Custom Popup Pages'.
    This How To will show the developer how to create Modal Popup windows with the ability to pass information back to the parent window.
    Example Scenario
    The example described in this how to adds a custom modal popup LOV to a form on the SCOTT.EMP table. Clicking the popup LOV link on the form page will popup a Modal LOV page that allows users to search by ENAME, JOB, and SAL. Selecting a value from this LOV page will close that popup LOV page and populate the ENAME, JOB, and SAL fields on the form page with the selected values. Additionally, had the user entered some data into the ENAME, JOB, and/or SAL fields on the form page, that data would be used in the initial search when the popup LOV page is first shown.
    Step 1 - Create a simple form page on SCOTT.EMP
    To create the form page, simply step through the HTML DB "Form on a Table or View" wizard against the EMP table accepting the defaults. For this example, create the form with a page number of one, and make sure to allow the ename, job, and sal fields to be editable. When the wizard completes, page 1 of the application should have the items P1_ENAME, P1_JOB, and P1_SAL on it as text fields.
    Step 2 - Create a popup page with search fields
    Next, create a page that's to be used as the popup window: Page 2. Ultimately, this page will have javascript, a report region, and some buttons. For now, though, just create a page 2 with the items P2_ENAME, P2_JOB, and P2_SAL on it as text fields.
    Step 3 - Set Modal popup page header requirements
    A) Modal windows by default cache the information they display. When creating a popup window which displays different information each time it is called or to allow searching the caching default must be switched off.
    Add the following meta-tag to the "HTML Header" field of the page-level attributes screen for page 2 to accomplish this:
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">
    B) Modal windows by default open a new window when running any redirect calls. When creating a modal popup which passes back parameters to the parent window. The modal window has to be forced to fire redirect calls within its own window rather than open a new window for the redirect.
    Add the following tag to the "HTML Header" field of the page-level attributes screen for page 2 to accomplish this:
    <base target="_self">
    Step 4 - Add Javascript call to the popup page
    Because the popup page should filter its result set based on any values that the user might have entered onto the form page, you need to add a javascript function that would pass those values off. Add the following function to the "HTML Header" field of the page-level attributes screen for page 1 to accomplish this:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
      function callMyPopup (formItem1,formItem2,formItem3) {
        var formVal1 = document.getElementById(formItem1).value;
        var formVal2 = document.getElementById(formItem2).value;
        var formVal3 = document.getElementById(formItem3).value;
        var url;
      url = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::::P2_ENAME,P2_JOB,P2_SAL:' + formVal1 + ',' + formVal2 + ',' + formVal3 ;
      // IE Browsers modal popup window
      if (window.showModalDialog) {
        w = showModalDialog(url, window.self,"status:0; scroll:1; resizable:1; dialogWidth:25; dialogHeight:43");
        // w is an array returned from the modal popup containing the passback values
        if (w) {
          document.getElementById("P1_ENAME").value = w[0];
          document.getElementById("P1_JOB").value = w[1];
          document.getElementById("P1_SAL").value = w[2];
          document.getElementById("P1_SAL").focus();
      else {
      // mozilla based browsers modal popup window
      w = open(url,"winLov","Scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=800,height=600", modal="yes");
      if (w.opener == null)
        w.opener = self;
      w.focus();
    </script>Though you don't need to know how to read javascript for this example, it helps to understand that this function only does one important thing: it opens a modal popup window of page two in our application while passing values to P2_ENAME, P2_JOB, and P2_SAL. It gathers those values to pass from the names of the HTML DB items provided to it. The call to this function will be added in the next step below.
    Step 5 - Add a popup link next to the P1_SAL field on the form page
    Add a link to the form page that will call the callMyPopup function above and pass it the values it needs. To do so, place the following HTML in the "Post Element Text" field attribute of the P1_SAL item:
    <~a href="javascript:callMyPopup('P1_ENAME','P1_JOB','P1_SAL');">Click for LOV<~/a>NB. remove ~ from above when deploying
    Step 6 - Add the LOV report to the popup page
    The next step is to create a report on the popup page based on the values passed from the form on page one. The tricky part of this report is providing a means for the selected values to be passed back to the form page. This can be achieved by having a column of the report render as a javascript link that would close the popup window and pass the ename, job and sal values for that row back. Start by adding a simple report region to our Modal popup page that uses a query such as:
          select ename, job, sal , 'placeholder' the_link
            from emp
           where ename like '%'||:P2_ENAME||'%'
             and (job = :P2_JOB or :P2_JOB is null)
             and (sal = :P2_SAL or :P2_SAL is null)Note that the last column in this query is just a placeholder. once the region is created, turn that placeholder into a link by doing the following:
    Navigate to the Page Definition for page 2
    Next to the name of the report region created in step 6, Click Q
    Next to the column THE_LINK, click the edit icon
    In the "Link Text" field enter the string "select"
    In the URL field enter: javascript:passBack('#ENAME#','#JOB#','#SAL#'); Click the "Apply Changes" button
    Step 7 - Add the javascript function to the Modal popup page to pass selected values to the (parent) form page.
    In the previous step you added a call to a javascript function, passBack. Now add that function to the top of Modal popup page 2. In the same manner as step 4 above, add that passBack function to the page 2 by putting it in the "HTML Header" field of the page-level attributes screen. The function should look similar to the following:
    <script language="JavaScript">
       function passBack(passVal1, passVal2, passVal3)
         // IE Browser return the passback values in an array
         if (window.showModalDialog) {
           var retVal = new Array(passVal1, passVal2, passVal3);
           window.returnValue = retVal;
           window.close();
         // Mozilla based browsers right the passback values directly into the parent window
         else {
           opener.document.getElementById("P1_ENAME").value = passVal1;
           opener.document.getElementById("P1_JOB").value = passVal2;
           opener.document.getElementById("P1_SAL").value = passVal3;
           opener.document.getElementById("P1_SAL").focus();
           close();
    </script>This function simply sets the values of P1_ENAME, P1_JOB, and P1_SAL with the values of the whatever's stored to the three HTML DB item names passed to it. It also closes the current window and puts the cursor back into the P1_SAL field.
    Step 8 - Polishing
    The basic functionality of this custom modal popup window has been created in steps 1 though 7. To make its usage a little more friendly, it's advisable to add Cancel and Search buttons to the popup window page. The Search button should just be added as a regular button that branches back to the page 2. Adding this button allows users to re-query for LOV options without having to return to our form page. The Cancel button should be created with an "Action" of "Redirect to URL". The "URL Target" of the button should be javascript:window.close(). As the code suggests, the Cancel button would just close the popup window (with no values returned).
    Hope this is of use....

    Everything said above is working fine but in Mozilla small popup is coming in top left corner of browser..
    so please help me so that it is opened in proper width and height in mozilla.

  • IE11 can't post form data to specific frame or window dialog opened via window.open()

    Hello,
    Form POST targeting to specific frame or dialog popped up via window.open() no longer works in IE11.
    It worked fine in IE10 and all previous versions of IE.
    Please see screenshot attached with simple test that reproduces this problem.
    Direct Link to screenshot:
    http://173.231.98.44/cgi/TestFolder/IE_11_widow_frame_targeting_BUG.jpg
    Direct link to simple test page demonstrating this problem:
    http://173.231.98.44/cgi/TestFolder/page2.asp
    Note: IE11 doesn't report any errors, doesn't complain about anything, even when debugged via F12 developer tools. The only thing it complained initially was missing doc type declaration on top of page, but even after adding doc type definition, problem still
    persists, makes no difference.
    I tested this on fresh install of Windows 2012R2 while testing our web application with the new IE11.
    I believe doing this on Windows 8.1 with IE11 will result in same bug/problem.
    Our web application uses a technique whereby it launches a popup window via call to window.open(), passing blank URL and specifying a name for the new window. It then does a from post targeting the name of new dialog.
    In IE11 this functionality has been broken and no longer works.
    Problem is that IE11, instead of posting form to the newly created dialog, it launches a new instance of IE and then loads the requested form in this new instance of IE, while the dialog launched via window.open() remains on screen and is empty. If user repeats
    launching same form post request (via button click for example), IE 11 keeps creating new empty dialogs and new IE instance for every form post executed. This totally breaks our application because we use many so called "wizards" that encapsulate
    specific functionality in separate web page launched in a popup window.
    Another related problem is that if a dialog is launched with window.open(), the java script code in the dialog can not target the parent frame that opened the dialog anymore. In our application, when a dialog is closed, it typically needs to trigger a refresh
    of a specific frame within the parent window (again targeted by name) to reflect saved/updated info that user entered in the popup dialog. The result is that we can't refresh the parent frame after the pop up dialog closes. Instead, IE11 launches
    a new instance of IE (not just a tab, but a whole new instance) and loads the parent frame in it.
    The problem seems to be caused by broken frame name targeting mechanism in IE11.
    Note that we force IE to compatibility mode 5, but even without specifying any compatibility, the problem remains.
    Typical java script to reproduce this is:
    <input type="button" onClick="Popup(this.form);" name="btn2" value="Popup Dialog">
    function Popup(f){
        window.open("","MyNewDialogName","width=200,height=150");
        f.action = "page3.asp";
        f.target = "MyNewDialogName";
        f.submit();
    Expected: IE11 should correctly post form to and load targeted page in the newly popped up dialog, without opening new IE instance and new tab. Repeatedly posting form to existing popup window should reuse that window, not keep on launching more popup windows
    and then more IE instances.
    Steps to reproduce the problem (include URL if applicable):
    URL with sample page: http://173.231.98.44/cgi/TestFolder/page2.asp
    1) Create page1.htm: <html><body>display "I'm in a popup window now ..."</body></html>
    2) Create page2.htm with a button and onclick() event calling function to open dialog, and do form POST targeting new dialog calling page1.htm, like below.
    <input type="button" onClick="Popup(this.form);" name="btn2" value="Popup Dialog"> function Popup(f){
        window.open("","MyNewDialogName","width=200,height=150");
        f.action = "page1.asp";
        f.target = "MyNewDialogName";
        f.submit();
    3) Open IE11, navigate to page2.htm, click the "Popup Dialog" dialog button. IE 11 will popup the new dialog, but then it will also launch new instance of IE11 and display the page1.htm in it, instead of in the popup dialog.
    Has anyone else encountered this problem?
    Any insight or help is appreciated.
    Regards
    Peter

    the default action of <input type="button" is submit. Note also that the default type of <button> elements is 'submit' also.
    add a return false to the onclick inline event handler (which constructs the form submit attribues) to cancel the default form.submit behavior.
    form elements have a target value with which you can specify the name window into which you want the form to open in.
    <form action="process.aspx" target="popup">
    you can use the window.open method with a query uri to achieve the same outcome.
    window.open('process.aspx?s=search+term&amp;foo=bar','popup',{features})
    the outcomes of all scripted windows are affected by
    your IE Popup blocker and tabbed browsing settings
    which in turn is affected by your IE Security zone settings (for popup blocking handling)
    and the settings of any third-party popup blocker you may have installed and enabled... it may not necessarily be visible on your browser toolbar.
    The first step in troubleshooting web browser issues is to test in no-addons mode.
    Use the Developer Tool to find out what documentMode the test page is opening in on your system. On Modal/Modeless popup windows use the f12 key to display the Developer tool positioned on the contentWindow.
    Use File>Properties to find out what IE Security zone it maps to... there is a security setting to prevent navigation into zones of lower integrity.

    Lets pretend that your assignment was to manage a list of employees of a store, and that each employee is identified by their name, position, and hourly wage. If you created a program along the lines of your current product program, I picture you creating three separate ArrayLists (or arrays), one for each variable, something like this:
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    public class MyEmployees1
        private ArrayList<String> names = new ArrayList<String>();
        private ArrayList<String> positions = new ArrayList<String>();
        private ArrayList<Double> hourlyWages = new ArrayList<Double>();
        public void add(String name, String position, double wage)
            names.add(name);
            positions.add( position);
            hourlyWages.add(wage);
        public void removed()
            // TODO: I am nervous about trying to manage this!
        //.......... more
    }This program tries to manage three separate parallel arrays (arraylists actually). They are parallel because the 3rd item in the names list corresponds to the 3rd item in the positions list and also the hourlywages list. If I wanted to delete data, I'd have to be very careful to delete the correct item in all three lists. If I tried to sort one list, I'd have to sort the other two in exactly the same way. It is extremely easy to mess this sort of program up.
    Now lets look at a different approach. Say we created a MyEmployee class that contains the employee's name, position, and wage, along with the appropriate constructors, getters, setters, toString method, etc... something like so:
    import java.text.NumberFormat;
    public class MyEmployee
        private String name;
        private String position;
        private double hourlyWage;
        public MyEmployee(String name, String position, double hourlyWage)
            this.name = name;
            this.position = position;
            this.hourlyWage = hourlyWage;
        public String getName()
            return name;
        public String getPosition()
            return position;
        public double getHourlyWage()
            return hourlyWage;
        public String toString()
            // don't worry about these methods here.  They're just to make the output look nice
            NumberFormat currency = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance();
            return String.format("Name: %-15s    Position: %-15s    Wage: %s",
                    name, position, currency.format(hourlyWage));
    }Now I can create a MyEmployees2 class that holds a single list of MyEmployee objects, like so:
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    public class MyEmployees2
        private ArrayList<MyEmployee> employeeList = new ArrayList<MyEmployee>();
        public boolean add(MyEmployee employee)
            return employeeList.add(employee);
        public boolean remove(MyEmployee employee)
            return employeeList.remove(employee);
        public void display()
            for (MyEmployee employee : employeeList)
                System.out.println(employee);
        public static void main(String[] args)
            MyEmployees2 empl2 = new MyEmployees2();
            empl2.add(new MyEmployee("John Smith", "Salesman", 20));
            empl2.add(new MyEmployee("Jane Smyth", "Salesman", 25));
            empl2.add(new MyEmployee("Fred Flinstone", "Janitor", 15));
            empl2.add(new MyEmployee("Barney Rubble", "Supervisor", 35));
            empl2.add(new MyEmployee("Mr. Spacely", "The Big Boss", 45));
            empl2.display();
    }Now if I want to add an Employee, I only add to one list. Same if I want to remove, only one list, and of course, the same for sorting. It is much safer and easier to do things this way. Make sense?

  • Popup window problem after search

    There is a page for search.
    In the page,There are some input field for inputting some search condition.
    if the search result was 0, no popup window opens.
    But,when the search result > 0, it is needed to display search result in a popup window.
    I controll this by setting flag to the Backing bean in the search method and open popup with javascript using onload like this.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function openNewWindow() {
    var popupFlag = document.getElementById("popupFlag");
    if (popupFlag.innerHTML=="true") {
    window.open(`````);
    -->
    </script>
    <body onload="openNewWIndow()">
    <h:inputText id="popupFlag" value="#{bean.popupFlag}"/>
    But thre is a problem in this way.
    I search once and poupup window appears.
    this has no proble.
    But, When I searched again with error input,
    the validator messages are displayed and popup window appears
    because of remaining the popupFlag value.
    In this case, there is no need to open popup window.
    Someone knows solution or better way to controll popup window?
    if you know,advice me, please!

    Hi siva,
    This is the standard pop-up to search any string on the list output. If you want to make it 5 characters long, then you have to implement the user exit (screen exit). since it is the standard screen, I dont think it is so easy to extend the screen field upto 5 characters long.
    BTW you can enter max 999 hits. if you have a list output more than 1000 lines then you can use the checkbox starting at current line for doing a search starting again from 1000th line till the end line. This way you can search 'N' numbers of lines.
    To summarize you have to do a search after each 999 hits e.g. your 999 hits has been completed on 500th line then you need to put the cursor on 501th line and then again do a search using the checkbox starting at current line.
    If you have any more doubts then please let me know.

  • Not able to display the desired view if button is pressed in POPup window

    Hi Experts,
    I have developed a web dynpro application.In this i have created a pop up window which consists of three buttons YES , NO and CANCEL.
    I have developed three event handlers in the view VIEW_POPUP which is acting as view of the pop_up window.  When i click on any of these buttons no event handler is getting triggered.
    Please give your suggestion as where the problem is.

    Hi Ravi,
    I think u created a  view and embedded it in another window and calling that window.,
    If u want to display a popup window with action buttons., jus use create_popup_to_confirm() method.
    refer this code,.
    * Data declarations for Pop up window
      data: lt_text type string_table,
            lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager,
            lo_api_component type ref to if_wd_component,
            lo_window type ref to if_wd_window,
            l_api type ref to if_wd_view_controller.
       msgtext = 'Do u want to continue. ?'
        append msgtext to lt_text.
          clear: tmp_from , tmp_to .
          l_api = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
          lo_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ) .
          lo_window_manager  = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
          lo_window1 =
          lo_window_manager->create_popup_to_confirm(
                 text = lt_text
                 button_kind = if_wd_window=>co_buttons_okcancel
                 message_type = if_wd_window=>co_msg_type_information   " this is info msg u can give error message here
                 close_button = 'X'
                 window_title = 'Confirmation message box'
    *       lo_window->subscribe_to_button_event
          lo_window1->subscribe_to_button_event(
            button = if_wd_window=>co_button_ok
            action_name = 'SUBMIT_REQUEST'                     " Submitting Request. " u have to create SUBMIT_REQUEST Action
            button_text = 'Yes'                                             " And Place the code in that action which u want to execute when yes
            action_view = l_api
            is_default_button = abap_false
    *       lo_window->subscribe_to_button_event
          lo_window1->subscribe_to_button_event(
            button = if_wd_window=>co_button_cancel
            action_name = 'CANCEL_REQUEST'                     " Calling Action On clicking NO. "u have to create CANCEL_REQUEST
            button_text = 'NO'                                              "Action
            action_view = l_api
            is_default_button = abap_true
          lo_window1->open( ).
    reply if u need some more clarifications.,
    Thanks & Regards

  • Popup window for data selection in maintenance view

    Hi,
    How to create popup window for data selection in maintenance view. For example when you go to view v_t510 in se16, there you will see a popup window to enter values. after you enter the values in that window, then data related to those values that you entered in the popup window will displayed.
    How can we do that for the custom maintenance view?
    Thanks in advance for your help guys.
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

    In your custom maintainace view, if you select the Data browser / Table view maintainace under the tab "Maint Status" as "Dispaly maintanence allowed with restriction" than system will give you popup to restrict by selection.

  • Conditional display of modal popup window?

    Hi,
    I'm currently implementing a file-upload in Apex 4.1. The workflow I envision is this:
    *User selects the file and initiates upload
    *The file is checked by some pl/sql code.
    *Under certain conditions the user is asked if she wants to continue.
    *The data is processed.
    For the conditional user-dialog I wanted to use a modal popup window as described in http://shijesh.wordpress.com/2010/04/10/jquery-modal-form-in-apex-4/ and other places.
    But how can I conditionally display this dialog dependent on the result of the file-check? I would need to call a java-script function from pl/sql - but how can this be achieved?
    Any hints or examples?
    Many thanks & kind regards,
    stephan

    stephanI don't think you would call the java-script function from PL/SQL as much as (maybe) use PL/SQL to write it - embed the Javascript code in the generated HTML of the page. Another option would be to put the JavaScript code as page or item attributes to be executed at run-time
