Distinguishing SBO 2005A with B and C

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I have a problem to look for the differences among SBO 2005A, B and C. Based on what they are differentiated like that. Is it caused by localization, business process or modules ? I appreciate your answers. TIA
Rgds,

Hi Steve,
A/B/C are about localization. Every cluster release (A/B/C) covers a certain number of countries incl. their local legal issues. The business processes and the corresponding functionality is only affected when this relates to legal requirements of a certain country, e.g. tax handling.
Please note that with the release of B1 2007 A SAP already merged the A and C versions, so that there will be no C versions any more.
Best, Winald

  • XL Reporter Runtime error - upgraded from SBO 2005A to SBO 2007A

    Hi Experts,
We upgraded our client SBO 2005A to SBO 2007A. We have this issue with XL Reporter that everytime we go to Advanced Report Builder-> Cell -> Transaction Row -> Attribute ->ARP_Series we are getting IXSelectionBarctl error window that says Run-time error '0', and the only option you have is OK. After pressing OK, it returns another IXSelectionBarctl window error:
    Run-time error '-2147418105 (80010007)'
    Automation error
the callee (server (not server application) is not available and disappeared; all connection are invalid. The call may have executed.
After pressing OK button the Advanced Report Builder is still visible but no longer accessible.
Here is the command under Attribute I'm trying to access.
    "FIG( SO_DocDate = @d1:@d2 And ARP_Series = "1" ) ARDT( Code = "Invoice" )"
Also, this report does not display the item quantity recorded in the invoice. It returns no data when running the report.
I think the problem is that the ARP_Series is no longer available in 2007A, if not where do I find the series or somewhat similar to ARP Series function?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

When updating new business partner (BP), the error message appears from system is this entry already exist in the following table " (ACPR) [ODBC 2035] (message 131-138).
This error is happened after I finished define the contact person. If I skip contact person, BP could be updated. I do creating business partner manually.
When I delete the ACPR entry, it could work well. I use query : delete from acpr where cardcode between 'xx' and 'yy'.
How to resolve the problem without deleting the entry ? does the table has maximum entry in the ACPR ? Thanks in advance

    Hi John,
Here are the details of note number 991296.
    I hope it helps.
    Adrian
    Symptom
In certain cases, when trying to update a business partner master data the following error message appears: "This entry already exists in the following table (ACPR)".
This problem occurs because of old data in the history table ACPR (Contact Persons - History) that conflicts with current data in OCPR table (Contact Persons).
    Other terms
Update, BP Master Data, History, ACPR, OCPR, "This entry already exists in the following table (ACPR)".
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Application error.
    Solution
In order to confirm whether the above issue affects your DB, please run the following queries:
    SELECT T0.CntctCode, T1.Name, T0.CardCode AS 'History Card Code', T1.CardCode AS 'Current Card Code' FROM ACPR T0 INNER JOIN OCPR T1 ON T0.CntctCode = T1.CntctCode AND T0.CardCode <> T1.CardCode
If the query retrieves any results, please contact your Support Center.

  • Changing the line vat amount on an invoice using the di api SBO 2005a

    Hi
    I am using SBO 2005a SP01 PL36.
I have written some code to import sales invoices which works fine apart from the fact I want to overwrite the line vat amount -
    oinv.Lines.NetTaxAmount = vatam
SAP seems to ignore this and just calculate it anyway, it's like it's a read only field
Can anyone help me please ?
    Thanks
    Regards Andy

    Paul,
    you are true,
NetTaxAmount is readonly field. If you want to modify this field, you should work with lines.

  • Upgrading SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 29 to SBO 2007A PL 00

    Dear All,
I've heard that SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 29 could be upgraded to latest PL of SBO 2007A after upgraded into PL 00 of SBO 2007A. This info is hopefully useful.
    Rgds,

    Hi Jimmy and William,
I think there's a slight, but important misunderstanding - and I suspect that William may not have revisited this discussion:
Error importing oBusinessPartners with DTW 2005.0.16
...but that's no severe enough to get so upset, Jimmy, or?
    Just to recap that:
SAP Business One 2005A SP01 <b>PL22</b> is the last patch that you can apply before upgrading to SAP Business One 2007A <b>if</b> you want to participate in <b>Ramp-Up for B1 2007</b>!
...and currently you can only use B1 2007 - and get support from SAP when your customer IS <u>accepted</u> for the Ramp-Up!
Only <b>after</b> SAP Business One 2007A will go into <b>"general availablility"</b> this would change!
The upgrade paths for B1 2007 are as you described:
    - Upgrade from any patch of an older release to a newer version using the specific <b>Upgrade</b> package is possible - and supported.
The "Upgrader" package is actually a patch that has been validated / released to be used for any upgrades from older versions.
    - Direct Upgrades to later patches of the newer version (skipping the Upgrader) may technically work at first glance, but you can't be sure that no issues may occurr later - and in the end cost more time than you gained by overstepping one step in the upgrade process - and it may get you in "trouble" with SAP Support.
I am sorry, but I didn't phrase that correctly when I entered that comment!
But again, unless you are getting this customer into Ramp-Up for 2007 it is irrelevant for you anyway what patch from 2005A SP01 you are using now...
BTW: I have checked the statement on SAP Service Marketplace - and maybe this can be clarified even better too.
    Thanks for raising this question!
    Regards,
    Frank

  • Dunning wizard after upgrading SBO 2005A from PL12 to PL50

After upgrading from SBO 2005A PL12 to PL50, when I run the Dunning Wizard I don't see the Open Invoices for the customers. Is there a Setting that I have to setup or which can cause this problem.

    Hi André,
Did you checked the parameters during the wizard already? For example are all levels included? Did you checked the dunning terms and conditions as well? Are you sure there are invoices that should be displayed?
    Kind regards,

    Please anybody can help me....?
    Regards,

    Hi Gordon,
I just want to import setting configuation e.g authorization, document setting, and etc about all settings. Not database because a new company has a different database.

  • Add-On in SBO 2005A can work in SBO 2005B?

    Hi all,
I developed an add-on solution using UIAPI & DIAPI 2005 which tested in SBO 2005A. Is it possible to work in 2005B as well.
    Thanks in advanced.
    Platform: Windows XP, SBO 2005A, VB.Net 2005

    Hi,
from my experience i can say it works. anyway, i recommend you to recompile it on a development environment with 2005B - to be on the safe side.
there's another point you should be aware of:
in 2005 B you have some fields in system forms - for example in documents - which you don't have in 2005 A.
    regards

  • Distinguishing debug from optimized libs and executables

I'm looking for a way to programmatically distinguish debug libs and executables from their optimized counterparts. It needs to be a way to, for example, parse the output of some utility that can produce information which distinguishes debug from optimized libs or executables.
I've looked at the system utilities nm, dump, and elfdump, but there is no documentation that describes how the information produced by these utilities might differ between debug and optimized code.
There are tantalizing hints in the on-line help here on the Sun site that the utility dumpstabs might provide this functionality, but that utility isn't available to me. Also, the version of nm that ships with RedHat7.2 claims to dump debug symbols only when used with a certain flag, so perhaps nm could be adapted to my needs, but I don't know how. If there is a way to parse the output of nm to distinguish debug from optimized libs and execs, could someone enlighten me?
    Thanks,
    Derrell

There is no easy way to do this - a symbol is a symbol. But if you are using file static symbols in the libraries, you are in luck.
Note, a file static symbol is like this:
    foo.c:
    static int foo_cnt = 100;
Given the fact our compilers would globalize the names of these symbols with the "$" prefix. It would be something like "$XAu8kkBEoje_yEX.foo_cnt" for the above symbol. Thus if you can find such names, it's safe to say the library was built with debug info.
If you only use global symbols and functions, well then I don't see how to tell these libraries apart.

  • SBO 2005A + MSSQL 2005 B2

    Hi,
Has anyone tried using new MS SQL 2005 server as database server for SBO 2005A ??
Installing SBO server and creating the common database went OK, but when trying to create a new company SBO reports an SQL ODBC error = Invalid keyword near 'Revert'
    Kr.
    Soren

    Soren,
As far as I know there's no final version of MS SQL 2005 in the market till now. As soon as it's out, we will officially publish (rather in a note or in the setup guide, or in both) that we are supporting it.
    Best regards,

  • SBO-Common with the DI server

Do I need to have the DI server installed on the same machine as the SBO-Common database in order for the DI server to work?  Or can I use a DI server on a remote environment?  Thanks in advance

I installed the DI server on the same machine which is a staging machine.  Now I have two environments dev and staging with the SBO-Common database installed and two identical SAP databases.  My code can connect to one but not the other. I get a "General Error" error message.  Have you ever seen this?   Thanks

  • Curious issue with extrude and rotate

I've found a curious issue with extrude and rotate in CS6. It's not a bug, but it is a nonintuitive behavior that is confusing, and sometime troublesome. I think this is something that ought to go on the to-do list for the devs. Anybody else agree? Disagree?
    Example:
I began with an arrow-shaped path, to which I applied the "extrude" effect. I then put an icon on top of the arrow, and grouped the icon and arrow. Now, I'm using this icon-arrow in several different parts of my design, in different orientations. As I rotate the arrow, the relative position of the icon and the arrow appears to shift. I believe this is happening because, as you rotate the icon-arrow, Illustrator rotates both the icon and the arrow about the center of the bottom face of the arrow. This is because the top face of the arrow is essentially fictitious, just an artifact of the extrude effect. So, even though the icon appears as if it is drawn on the top face of the arrow, it behaves as if it is attached to the bottom face of the arrow. When you apply a transform, that transform affects the bottom face of the arrow, causing the top face to shift relative to the icon.
The solution would be to add an extra check box to the extrude effect, asking whether you wanted to extrude upwards (the way things are currently done) or downwards. If you could extrude downwards, then the top face of the arrow would be the "real" face, the one affected by transformations. You could then put an image on the top face, group the arrow and the image, and when you applied a transform, the icon would remain fixed relative to the top face, which would meet your intuitive expectations.
If anyone is curious to experiment with this particular example, I've posted this file to Google docs here:
    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0Hoxcl5zTEtTXo5QnNsMGwwOGc/edit?usp=sharing

but it does work because i downloaded your file and i did jsut that. it isn't exact, but your suggestion on how to fix it wouldn't fix it anyway. the reason the acorn doesn't match is because of the distortion from the perspective not the direction of the extrusion. even if you could dictate the extrusion to go downward, the arrow would still rotate into perspective (distort) and then extrude. to avoid that, what you want is to extrude in axonometric and to do that you make your perspective rotation angle 1 degree, then make your extrusion length a lot longer to match what you want. with 1 degree there will be minimal distortion to the arrow as you rotate it and the acron will match.
i uploaded your file with your orignal 10 degree angle, and you'll see that they stay in sync pretty well. i drew a box around the acorn to better distinguish the difference. then i recreated the same thing with a 1 degree angle and on that version it stays in sync almost perfectly.
again. it doesn't matter wich direction you extrude since in perspective both faces will be distorted. if you want to keep the distortion from the perspective, you can apply the same perspective rotation to the acorn without the extrusion and it will distort in the same way as the arrow. i added that option to your file. they are all group and you can rotate them and see that they stay together pretty well, except the first one is a little off.
i uploaded your file with my solution

  • Distinguish the input with multiple argus

    hi all,
here i have a question about programming a SMTP email client using the command-line for the user input.
it requires distinguish the input with multiple argus, regardless upper case or lower case and the order of some critical key words, for example: "from:", "to:", "subject:", and "body:", this means the user input "ForM:" or "fOrM:" should recognize as a same "form:" string.
in addition, the command-line is as follow:
    +java MyPMC To:[email protected] From:[email protected] Subject:Hi Body:See you at library a
    and
java MyPMC froM:[email protected] TO:[email protected] suBjecT:Hi body:See you at library at 1
should work exactlly the same (assumming the java file name is MyPMC), how can i achieve this task.
please anyone can help me or give me some hints to do so.
    thanks a lot.

String.equalsIgnoreCase perhaps. If this is not the solution you are after perhaps you can explain yourself better.
