hi Need help
Suppose i have a textbox where user is Pasting list of computer name and its separated by ";". So all the name in between the text in need to search.
eg. SRV123;SRV-234;SRV-345
powershell script to search for the SRV123 and SRV-234 and SRV-345

but here you have to understant
(2) I'm making a SQL command (not a java statement!) with ' or " (not \) !!!
Please pay attention, I don't need \, I need ' ONLY!
So, the following sqlCommand can be run properly.
aString="programmer bad boss";
sqlCommand="insert into mytable values (\'"+aString+"\')";
But, the following sqlCommand can NOT be run properly?
aString="programmer\'s \"bad\" boss"; // programer's "bad" boss
sqlCommand="insert into mytable values (\'"+aString+"\')";
DO NOT tell me you want to modify them like this:
aString="programmer\'s \"bad\" boss"; // programer's "bad" boss

(If so, you can't get a correct SQL command!
Note: an incorrect SQL command is shown as following:
insert into mytable values (\'programmer\')
The \\ will give you a single \ in your String.
The \ is an escape character so in a String you must
double them.

I'm transferring an MS Access column contains characters such like \' and \" to an Oracle table.
The following statement can work PROPERLY while rsSrc.getString(1) does NOT contain \' and \".
But when \' or \" occurs in rsSrc.getString(1), a SQLException was caught as "ORA-00917: missing comma".
sqlCommand="insert into myTable values (\'"+rsSrc.getString(1)+"\')";

Original statement is right...
sqlCommand="insert into myTable values (\'"+rsSrc.getString(1)+"\')";
Your statement will not work properly when rsSrc.getString(1) contains " or '.
sqlCommand="insert into myTable values ('"+rsSrc.getString(1)+"')";
The best solution should be preparedStatement. Please see another topic with the same topic name.

Full text Search Issue with Boolean AND Search in 2012 server

We are trying to use CONTAINSTABLE function with BOOLEAN AND search, but unable to get expected results in sql server 2012.
If use BOOLEAN OR search we get expected results.
Full text indexed table is having more than 10 millions of records. we checked index fragmentation level is 82%. then we done Rebuild. Even after rebuild, unable to fetch expected results with AND SEARCH.
The below query is used
SELECT ft.* FROM FT_ROWS ft
INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE(FT_ROWS, summary,
' "manifest" AND "version" ') AS key_tbl
ON ft.log_id = key_tbl.[key]
if we remove ( "manifest" AND ) from the search string, then getting some results but AND search is not returning expected results.
Please help any suggestion

The explanation that is closest at hand is that you have no documents with both of these words in them.
An alternate explanation is that you have accidently entered "manitest" into your stoplist.

I want to communicate a RS485/2-wire device through COM1. I tried Instrument I/O Assistance to write to COM1(hex string with or without end bye:0D0A), something happened on the bus, but is not defirrential signal, and device didn't recognised them.

I tried to communicate with an RS485/2-wire device through COM1. I used Instrument I/O Assistant (and Advanced/Basic Serial Write and Read examples) to write command (HEX string) to COM1,
tried writing HEX strings with and withour end bye (is 0D0A the correct end signal for HEX string?). Both didn't get device's responce. Looks like the device didn't recognize the command.
I monitored the transmitted signals on the bus, they were not differential as supposed to be.....
What is the possible reason to cause this? Please help...
The hardware connection is OK, because I am able to communicate with the device through COM1 (with the same command) using different software application.

How are you sending the hex? Is your string control set for hex display or normal? If it's set for normal, then if you send something like 'AD', then you aer sending the ASCII characters 'A' and 'D' and that's not the same thing. I don't believe the I/O assistant can send hex but you can modify the basic serial write and read to do so. Just right click on the string control and select 'Hex Display'. You can also enter the data in a numeric control (set for dex display) and use a type cast or an array of U8's and use the Byte Array to String function. Hex data usually doesn't use any kind of termination characters such as CR/LF.
If communication is working with another app, then as you said, the hardware is okay and it's not a problem with differential signaling.

Search given string array and replace with another string array using Regex

I want to search the given string array and replace with another string array using regex in java
for example,
String news = "If you wish to search for any of these characters, they must be preceded by the character to be interpreted"
String fromValue[] = {"you", "search", "for", "any"}
String toValue[] = {"me", "dont search", "never", "trip"}
so the string "you" needs to be converted to "me" i.e you --> me. Similarly
you --> me
search --> don't search
for --> never
any --> trip
I want a SINGLE Regular Expression with search and replaces and returns a SINGLE String after replacing all.
I don't like to iterate one by one and applying regex for each from and to value. Instead i want to iterate the array and form a SINGLE Regulare expression and use to replace the contents of the Entire String.
One Single regular expression which matches the pattern and solve the issue.

As stated, no, it can't be done. But that doesn't mean you have to make a separate pass over the input for each word you want to replace. You can employ a regex that matches any word, then use the lower-level Matcher methods to replace the word or not depending on what was matched. Here's an example: import java.util.*;

When I go to google on firefox and search for a topic, I try to open a website and another website (morsearch, clickkick, etc) will open up instead into a new search engine with the same topic . What is this?

I go to google. I type in "plants". A lot of sites will pop up in google. I click on a site (does not matter which usually). The site will then start to switch to a new url from (click kick, morsearch, etc) turning into a new search engine with the same topic and more options. I never get to the page I want unless I type the url directly into the address box. It always comes back with a search engine. So far I have found this only happens while starting in a search engine. When I get into the actual page, everything is fine. I am using McAfee for security and it hasn't caught a virus or anything yet. Help please! Thanks!

Am using Firefox 5.0.1, any new tabs open with a search engine for imvu and when I go to about:config there is no entry for browser.newtab.url that I can modify

I am using Firefox 5.0.1.4205 with Windows 7 Home Premium Service pack1. My new tabs in Firefox open with a search engine for imvu rather than google as I would prefer. I can't find an answer to my problem so far because when I try the recommended use of about:config and finding browser.newtab.url; it is not listed. Is this version of firefox to old to have that, or is it just missing? What can I do to get my new tabs to open with a Google search engine. This is on my 80 year old father's computer so he is not likely to upgrade browsers as I would on my home computer. Thank you for any help with this.

The new tab page (about:newtab) wasn't introduced until a later version of Firefox (iirc, ''Firefox 10'') , which is why that pref can't be found.

When the initial page is closed and new tab is opened. How can I get back my google dropdown with previous searches.

When I double click my desktop icon Mozilla Firefox. It comes back with Firefox Start screen with google search. When you go to the rightside of the text box and left click. Its gives you a dropdown window with previous searches. When the google toolbar is on, if you click on a new search. It does give a google search text box, but the downdrop searches previously done is blank or no entry on the dropdown. Before once you click the new google search, the dropdown window is populated with previous searches. Its important for me to see previous searches I did. I hope you can help me.
