Division between fert and halb

In my orgn two diff type of products where being manufactured therefore at finished goods (FERT) material code level two divisions where used, but for all the components assigned to the main material in bom I was using only one division
For exampe FERT-A division is GG
FERT-B division is BC
the components used for both these material have the same division as AK
Till today we did not face any issue, but now we are adding some more type of products with different division at FERT code level. Should I contiue to use the same division for the componenets are should I use the division of the fert to the components also.

  • Same setup matrix for both fert and halb products

    Hi,
at present we are using a setup matrix in apo for fert products, which is built on the setuptimes/groups of the halb products.
can i use the same setup matrix for the halb resources, if we want to use the sequence dependent setup planning for the halb products..our fert is the combination of halb and packing..
    Thanks,

replace the existing rules with one that does not specify the port [L3 rule].
However, you can't use arrowpoint cookie anymore.
And you can't use 'advanced-balance ssl'.
Another solution would be to use an SSL offloader to decrypt the traffic and have the cookie inserted in the https traffic as well.

  • Cost component structure - cost elements for FERT and HALB (TC:OKTZ)?

    Hi all,
our cost component structure has the following structure (TC: OKTZ):
    1 Raw materials
    2 Human ressources
    3 Production
    4 Material Overhead
    5 Production overhead
    6 external activity
(this settings are conform with SAP standard - copy from cost comp. structure 01)
To cost comp 1 "raw material" we assigend the relevant (primary) cost elements (consumption raw mat, e,g, steel, wood...).
My question is: In case we insert/post e.g. a semi-finished product to the production order from stock (accor. bill of material), where (in which cost comp.) do I have to assign the relevant cost element? I guess this should be the account "inventory change unfinished product? (maintain in TC: OBYC for transaction BSV according val. class)
Is it correct to assign this cost element to cost comp structure "raw material", because actually it is a semi finished product which is picked up from stock to convert /process further? To problem is, if this cost element is not assigned I get an error in CK11N/CK40N
I hope my wording is not to abstract...
    Thanks in advance...
    best Regards

    Hi..
You don’t need to consider the cost element of production order settlement and production notification.
Cost component structure need the cost element of production order’s debit.

  • Same serial number or sequence no for orders of fert n halb

    Hi all,
we have a make to order production and it has two levels ie final assembly and semi finished . now my client wants to have same serial number or sequence number to be generated for both production orders ie fert and halb. one more thing to mention here is we use schedule agreement for sales orders.so all the orders of fert and halb have same scheduling agreement.
    thanks in advance

    Hi
Are you talking about the production order number?

  • Difference Between Sector and Division

    Hi All,
Can somebody please explain the difference between Sector and Division in HRMS?
Also please suggest me some place wherein i can look for the definitions associated with the various Organization Types
    Regards,
    Gayatri

The organisation types list comes 'out of the box'. It may differ slightly according to the legislation you operate in, but I'm not sure.
The list is controlled by the lookup I described before. You can add, change or delete values from this list.
The values of SECTOR and DIVISION would really depend on the way your organisation or company is structured. Some companies consider that they have a structure of DIRECTORATE - BRANCH - DIVISON etc., while others may use different values. It really is your choice. I guess your company already has names for 'sections' of the organisation structure. Find out what they are and then either use those values from the list, or create them in the list if they don't exist.

What are the datatypes of tariff_start_date and tariff_end_date ? If they are already dates, and you to_date them (and depending on what your nls_date_xxxxx params are) you can have such errors :SQL> sho parameter nls_date_format

  • Data mismatch between 10g and 11g.

    Hi
We recently upgraded OBIEE to 11.1.1.6.0 from 10.1.3.4.0. While testing we found data mismatch between 10g and 11g in-case of few reports which are including a front end calculated column with division included in it, say for example ("- Paycheck"."Earnings" / COUNT(DISTINCT "- Pay"."Check Date")) / 25.
The data is matching for the below scenarios.
    1) When the column is removed from both 10g and 11g.
    2) When the aggregation rule is set to either "Sum or Count" in both 10g and 11g.
It would be very helpful and greatly appreciated if any workaround/pointers to solve this issue is provided.
    Thanks

  • Difference between ale and edi

    Hi experts,
I know this topic was discussed in the forum lot of times. i want to clarify one thing here.
    1) can EDI be used to transfer the between tow SAP systems.
    2) can ALE be used to transfer data between SAP and non SAP system.
if the answer to the questions is yes then is there any case where we can not use ALE in place of EDI and vice versa.
Also, in what situation we use the BAPI- ALE interface to distribute the data??
    thanks
    sankar

EDI, stands for Electronic Data Interchange, is the electronic exchange of structured business data between different applications.  The EDI architecture consists of
EDI-enabled applications :They support the automatic processing of business transactions.
The IDoc interface: This was designed as an open interface. The IDoc interface consists of IDoc types and function modules that form the interface to the application.
The EDI subsystem: This converts the IDoc types into EDI message types and vice versa.  This component of the EDI architecture is not supplied by SAP.
    Advantages of the EDI Process
    Reduced data Entry Errors
    Reduced Processing cycle time
    Availability of data electronic form
    Reduced Paper Work
    Reduced Cost
    Reduced Inventories and Better Planning
    Standard Means of Communicating
    Better Business Processes
    Competitive Advantage
    ALE
    PURPOSE
ALE supports the distribution of the business functions and process across loosely coupled R/3 systems. Connections from   R/2  and non SAP systems is also supported.
    IMPLEMENTATION CONSIDERATIONS
Distributing business applications and at the same time ensuring data consistency is practical because:
The increasing globalization of markets has led to the physical division of organizational units.
Business processes are not restricted to one organization only and an increasing number of customers and vendors are involved.
The performance of an R/3 System can be improved by distributing the business applications.
    Features
    ALE supports:
Distribution of applications between different releases of R/3 Systems
Continued data exchange after a release upgrade without requiring special maintenance
    Customer-specific extensions.
Communication interfaces that allow connections to non-SAP systems.
Coupling of R/3 and R/2 Systems.
ALE has functions for controlling messages flows (Audit) and for eliminating malfunctions.
    Differences between the two:
ALE is used to support distributed yet integrated processes across several SAP systems whereas EDI is used for the exchange of business documents between the systems of business partners
ALE is SAPu2019s technology for supporting a distributed environment whereas EDI is a process used for exchange of business documents which now have been given a standard format
Both ALE and EDI require data exchange. An Idoc is a data container which is used for data exchange by both EDI and ALE processes.

  • Diff between prt and raw material type

what is the difference between PRT and raw material material type

    Hi,
Any material type defines the material views (Basic,Purchasing,Storage,Accounting....), Whether internally procured or extrenally procured, special type.
whether it requires Qty & Value updation,
Standard material type for Raw Materials is ROH
Raw materials are always procured externally and then processed. A material master record of this type contains purchasing data, but not sales data since they cannot be sold.
But there is no Std Material type PRT, & if you are meaning FERT it is a finished goods material type.
Finished products are produced in-house. Since they cannot be ordered by Purchasing, a material master record of this material type does not contain purchasing data.
    Reward if found useful.

  • 7344 servo motion switching between open and closed loop operation

I have a custom end-of-line test system presently using a 4-axis 7344 servo controller to perform various functional tests on small, brushed DC motors. The system is programmed in C/C++ and uses flex motion functions to control the motor during testing. Motors are coupled to external encoder feedback and third party PWM drives running in closed-loop torque mode from an analog command signal. The system uses all four motion axis channels on the 7344 board to independently and asynchronously test up to four production motors at a time.
In closed-loop mode, the system runs without issue, satisfying the battery of testing protocols executed by this system. I now have a request to add additional test functionality to the system. This testing must be run in open loop mode. Specifically, I need to use my +/- 10v analog output command to my torque drive to send different DAC output levels to the connected motor.drive while monitoring response.
I do not believe the flex motion library or 7344 controller includes functions to easily switch between open and closed loop mode without sending a new drive configuration. I am also under the impression that I cannot reconfigure one (or more) servo controller axis channels without disabling the entire drive. As my system runs each axis channel in an asynchronous manner, any requirement to shutdown all drives each time I change modes is an unworkable solution.
I am open to all ideas that will allow asynchronous operation of my 4 motor testing stations. If the only solution is to add a second 7344 controller and mechanical relays to switch the drive and motor wiring between two separately configured servo channels, so be it. I just want to explore any available avenue before I place a price tag on this new system requirement.
    Bob

    Jochen,
Thank you for the quick response. The 7344 board does an excellent job running my manufacturing motor assemblies through a custom end-of-line tester in closed loop mode. A portion of the performance history and test result couples the motor through a mechanical load and external shaft. The shaft is in contact with a linear encoder that closes my servo loop.
My new manufacturing requirement is to also sample/document how the small DC motor behaves in open loop operation. Your solution is exactly what I need to perform the additional functional tests on the product I am manufacturing. I see no reason why this cannot work. I was originally concerned that I would need to reinitialize the 7344 board after changing axis configuration. Initialization is a global event and impacts all four channels on the 7344 board.
Using flex_config_axis() to change axis configuration on a single channel without disturbing other potentially running axis channels will solve my concern. It will be several weeks before I can return to the manufacturing facility where the 7344-based testing machine is located. I will update this thread once I verify a successful result.
