DNS error when launching Application login page after R12 installation
Hi ,
I installed R12.0.4 on windows server 2003.
After installation when I launch the home page, its giving dns error saying that <domainname>.<hostname> cannot be loaded.
I checked the apache alert log, it is trying to access an IP that is commented out in the host file. I am not sure where it is picking it up from. I installed loopback adapter before the installation and the entries in the host file also seem fine. Please help me out, this is the 2nd installation but the issue is still not resolved. Please let me know if you need anymore details.

Since you were not able to access the application URL using the IP Address then I believe it is an issue with the application/database services. To verify that all application services are up and running properly, please do the following:
- Open a new DOS session
- cd %INST_TOP%\apps\<SID>_<hostname>\admin\scripts
- Issue "adopmnctl.sh status"
- You should get something similar to the following:

Error When Launch The Insight Page
All,
We are on BPC V7 SP 7 , SQL 2008. We have App server (32 bit) and db server (64) bit.
All the function of BPC are working fine aside from Insight.
When we launch the Insightwe get the BPC error page.

Detail : The " character, hexadecimal value 0x22, cannot be included in a name. Line 1, position 52.
Has anyone seen this? Any help would be appriciated.

Error while loading a 10.1.3 ADF application login page on JBoss EAP 6.0.1
I have a 10.1.3 ADF application that runs well on Web Sphere and OC4J. I'm trying to run it on JBoss EAP 6.0.1. The ear file was deployed successfully to JBOSS and according to ADF logging the connection to Oracle database is established.
But when I try to load the application login page, I obtain the following exception

After Effects Plugin Error when launching
I recently installed Red Giant Knoll Light Magic Pro plugin and get the following error when launching AE CS4 9.02 on a 2.53Ghz Intel Macbook Pro with 4Gb Ram and Snow Leopard.
After Effects has encountered an error.

I have also lodged a support ticket with Red Giant but wanted to see if anyone had experienced, or could shed any light on this error code.
ThanksAs a start, move the KLF plug-in out of the shared MediaCore folder (Library:Apllication Support:Adobe and something; not on my Mac ATM) to the conventional AE plug-in folder (Applications:Adobe After Effects CS4:Support Files:Plug-Ins) I've reminded my friends at RG a hundred times, but their installer stil luses bad default locations. If that doesn't fix it, then indeed you have a problem. Which version of the plug-in are you using? Most complaints revolve around v2.5's GPU usage, which is on by default and causes a lot of trouble. Older versions do not do this, so they are more stable....

I created an application with 3 pages in it..

where 1-----> login page

I deleted report page----2, and i also changed the target page in login page, so that soon after press the login page it will directly go to page 3...
If im clicking that login page icon means it is working fine......it is going to page 3
But if i clicked the "RUN APPLICATION"---the big icon of the application means, it is directing to the page 2----report
which i was deleted, as it showing the error

Error when trying to see pages in webcenter app with adf security activated

I have this problem
I developed a WebCenter Application that uses ADF Security with form authentication. This App has
two JSPX the first one is the login page and the second one is the page where i manage runtime created pages
using the CREATE PAGE task flow and a page tree iterator to see my created pages.
when i deploy de application on the weblogic server i am able to login successfully and create as many pages as
i want and also see them using the link generated. the problem is that when a delete the application from the weblogic
server, i mean the deployed application, then redeploy the same application on the server i can login again and
see the pages i created before but when i try to reach them i get this error showed in my internet browser:

I tried to clear cache to solve a "Not Data Found: error and now I am getting this error. I am going from bad to worst.
I press a submit button to insert rows into a table which worked fine until I did the following:
(1) used the "Return Key Into Item" on Auto Row Processing(DML) - to display the PK and to use later.
(2) After which, I started getting ORA:01403: No Data Found - which I tracked to a caching problem.
(3) Now when I clear cache, I am getting "Error ERR-1016 Application "107" Page "0" not found (requested language="en-us")"
What is the deal?I solved the problem.
In my attempt to figure out the "No Data Found Error" , clear cache and "Display the PK key on page 2", I changed the "Optional URL Redirect" on my SUBMIT button.
I set the following options "Clear Cache, Set These Item, With These Items" which caused the page to redirect to page 0.
I cleared the settings and the error when away! -

The error is in the admin guide
No timezone could be found to calculate this TimeWindowElement. This means
that the object that includes the TimeWindow should set the TimeZone to use
for the calculation of the TimeWindow, or a TimeZone must be set on the
TimeWindow or TimeWindowElement.
I do not see how this would occur within the application list.

Redirecting user to login page after session expiry
Hi,
Default session expiry implementation in sap EP6.0 doesn't work properly. To overcome this, we have implemented one component where we check the idle time and throw the user back to the login page if the idle time has exceeded the session expiry period. This component has been added to desktop inner page as an iView. Following is the logic put in this component.

We are successfully getting the login page after session expiry. Issue is, our portal server is running on 11111 port. We cannot change this to 80 on unix because of unix limitations for the port number. So we have put one apache web server before our portal server. Apache web server is listening on port 80 and forwarding the request to our portal server.
Now when user is redirected to the login page, url being shown in the browser is http://<host_name>:11111/irj/portal but I am expecting http://<host_name>/irj/portal (without port). I have tried putting the full url in sendRedirect() method but that too doesn't work.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Let the URL be relative in the sendRedirect i.e.
httpResponse.sendRedirect("/irj/portal");
However since you have a Reverse proxy in front, the response header for redirect will not contain the address of the reverse proxy in this case, your servername without port. You have to properly configure your reverse proxy so that the HTTP Headers are changed properly before sending the response to the users.

StangrideIf you launch the app directly from the session hosts using the same account that your using with remoteapp what are you getting? Try and RDP to the session host when you attempt it. I would also check rsop.msc to see if you have any GPO or scripts that
are manipulating themes.
