Do all the HP Eprint printers work with ipad airplay?

I want to buy a new printer, it is a HP Photosmart Plus B210. It says that has eprint, will it work with the ipad2 airplay? thanks for th anwers

here is a list of printers for sure compatible with tiger, as they are available as part of the operating system. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301175. another way to tell is to go to the company website and see what's available for drivers. as far as the 2420 model is concerned, on the hp site i see there is a driver download which includes universal binary so it is compatible with the intel mac. that means the driver is very current. however, looking at the specs for the 2420, it states networking capability is optional. so if you decide to purchase this model, make sure you get the printer with bluetooth capability, otherwise it will not work wirelessly. otherwise though, the printer has the most up-to-date drivers and has the option to be wireless. I didn't say the price was necessarily a drawback; just thought I'd throw my two cents in if the OP didn't want to purchase more software (as he/she alluded to in the first post). Even if it's a small cost (in your opinion), the OP said they didn't want to spend any more money. I didn't think about buying it on ebay; but that's a good idea. Just keep in mind that the Parallels free phone support is only good for the first few months after purchasing a new copy, so if you're buying a used copy, you won't get free phone tech support. I think they have per-incident support once the free period is over, though. And they probably have forums you can use to troubleshoot any issues.
Parallels can also cause a slow/laggy OS, which could be seen as a drawback. Of course, you could always purchase more RAM if the computer does lag, but there's another cost. I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen, that I've seen. Especially if the computer you install it on is an older one that barely meets the Lion system requirements to begin with.
I agree with you; I purchase hardware and software for the future. If my new iMac won't run software from 2004-2008, I guess I'm upgrading. I understand when people don't want to upgrade, but after so many years, it's not really a choice.
I prefer the dual-boot method; it's cleaner (in my experience) than a virtual machine software program, and causes fewer issues with the main OS installation. It's really just preference, though. The OP can try both ways and decide which is preferable for him/her.
What I posted was (as I said in my first post) just my suggestion. I wasn't trying to override what you said about Parallels being the answer; just adding a new answer that I didn't yet see in this thread, in case the OP wanted an alternative. Maybe I mis-read the defensive attitude in your post, and if so, I apologize. But you seemed to be defending something that I wasn't truly even attacking to begin with. I feel that the best choices are the most informed ones, and with more options, the OP can find the best answer for him/her.

If your student is truly disabled to the sense that she can not be taught the morality of changing other people's devices without their consent, and you have to have all the student iPads publically available to her, then the best solution is to lock the entire iPad from her - enable a Passcode lock in settings so that she needs the password to use the iPads.

IPad doesn't sync all photos + earlier iPhoto versions work with iPad

1. I have my iPad set to sync with iPhoto, but the iPad doesn't have all of the photos that are in iPhoto. I get a message that it can't sync IMG_0026.JPG so I wonder if when that photo is reached the sync just stops. Could this be the reason?
2. Also as these problems started after my most recent iPhoto 8.1.x update and for other reasons, I'm planning on dumping iPhoto 8 and going back to an earlier version such as iPhoto 5. Is anyone here using iPhoto 5 or 6 with their iPad?

OK. I removed the photo and everything else seems to have synced fine. So question 1 is answered.
Now what about question #2?

I had a HP3052 whith a scaner message error 5 which can't print anymore. Anyway scanning with this HP is not supported anymore. So looking into the huge HP compatibility list on the web I see no good choice:

The new HP LaserJet M127fn MFP duplex is not even on this list...
I prefer laser than ink printers (I hate buying cartridges every month or have the system stuck with dry ink when not used for a month).
There are some good brother laserprinters, e.g. MFC7860DW, but PC-Fax doesn't work on Mac (I believe).

Ditto, most Printer/scanner manufacturers are getting up to date with Lion compatable drivers now. Most are available from their websites. Some still want to install old scanner software which is PPC so will have to downgrade to SL again, because they won't look for Lion compatable software. I find VueScan still an excellant program which works fine with my 3 yr old Cannon Pixma.

For MS Visio (any version) only the appropriate version of Acrobat *PRO* provides PDFMaker for Visio.
For Visio 2013 specifically you must have Acrobat XI Pro (updated to at least 11.0.1).

I want to make book's layout in ID CS4 and its main feature is that there is the left page with text and the right - with graphics.
So, as I understand to place the text on each page I must create for example 70 Word documents and place each item on 70 left pages???

It's best to place any text.
You can have all of your text in one file and use auto-flow to add threaded text frames and pages as required (Hold down the Shift key when you click the loaded text cursor), but it's a little non-standard to have the thread only on one side of the spread from the auto-flow perspective, so you'll have to set up properly.
This is one case where a master text frame will work to your advantage. On your master page spread, add a text frame to the left page, but not to the right (or at least not threaded to one on the right -- for some other project you might actually want two independent text threads). Hold the loaded cursor over a frame on the left side of a document page and auto-flow. ID will add new spreads as necessary, but only put the text on the left side.

I set up FaceTime and Messages on four different devices with only one Apple ID. I used the exact method that is described in the video that AnaMusic has provided to you in the link in her response above. That method worked fine for my family, but you can create new Apple ID's just to use for FaceTime and Messages if you like. Many users prefer doing that as opposed to adding new email addresses.
IMO - using unique email addresses (like in the video) makes sense, because we (my family) all have different email addresses anyway, and it was very simple to add each family members email address to both apps and remove my Apple ID email address as the contact address on each device.
BTW .... if you are using your Apple ID on both devices - your phone number should be the number that is showing in the settings - not you daughter's. Did you set up the Apps with your Apple ID?

I got this message after importing about ten or so H.264 files that I encoded from Adobe media encoder. "adobe encore the software that's used to decode the media is not available on this system. installing the correct decoders for the file you are working with may help correct the problem."
The files we're shot with HD cameras. Edited in Premiere Pro CS3. I installed the update 3.0.1 with still the same error.
I also tried a brand new project and after about ten or so files being imported into a timeline, the system crash. I tried this twice....

       Here is the skinny. A window base PC. footage shot with HD sony HD cameras, Project imported to Premiere CS3. Once completed sent file to Adobe media encoder and render them as H.264 widescreen high Quality. Imported them to Adobe Encore CS3. After about ten files or so. I got the error message. Did all the basic trouble shoot like restarting the computer, got latest patch. Even build a new test project with the same problem.
    Something else I read in the forums, is the encore will transcoded the project to Mpeg 2 anyway, after looking at my project I realized those few files were indeed untranscoded. So it will be a double compression and I dont want that. So, my new question is, what is H.264 good for ?????????? I was research that Mpeg 2 is a faster render but H.264 is a slower render but better quality.....
