Do I need to always have a keyboard and monitor connected to use as a home share device for movies and music?
I have two MacBook airs and two Apple tv's. I want to set up a Mac mini and rip over 800 dvd's and 600cd's to it then use the apple tv's to veiw the movies and play songs. Just in my house not streaming over the net. I am looking at the Mac mini server with the 2 1 TB drives. I know I don't need the server but it is the drives I'm looking at. I want to set up the mini and then remove the key board and monitor.
Does this sound right? Any better ideas?
I'm running a mini with no monitor, and have had no problems. I use Screen Sharing when I need to get into it, and for those rare occasions when I can't reach it via SS, I have a monitor that i'll pull out of storage to get everything back in working order.
How are the two 1 TB drives configured? If they're mirroring, then you may need more capacity if you're going to rip 800 DVDs. And while we're on the subject of drives, I can't tell from your comment if you're going to buy a Thunderbolt drive, but you should be able to get away with something much cheaper (and slower) like a USB2.0 drive.

ThanksIn your case with the need to control it from multiple locations the best and realistically only solution is to use Screen Sharing to remotely control the Mac.
With this solution you can control it from anywhere you have a network connection and could use a laptop to control the Mac mini. This is the solution I use in a very similar situation.
Bluetooth does not have enough range, even RF wireless keyboard and mice devices also would not have the range, and I don't believe there is a suitable USB solution.
The only other possibility that occurs to me is to use an IP based KVM. A KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) switch box allows multiple computers to be controlled from typically a single keyboard and mouse. However there are versions which allows you to do this over a TCP/IP network i.e. Ethernet. Then again you would be able to do this anywhere on your network. Personally I still strongly recommend using Screen Sharing. Its built-in and completely free! -
I have 4 Apple TV's. All set up to Home share. One will not see the computer. It is also the only 720 I have. The other three are 1080's. How do I get the 4th one (the720) to recognize my Mac?
Need more information to help you, but I am providing some suggestions. Sorry if you are past these type of basic things. But didnt really have much to start with and understand your technical level to start with.
Have you got into Settings > Computers > Turned on Home Sharing (Note: You must use the some Apple ID used by the iTunes library on your MAC for them to see one another)
How is your MAC connected to the network vs the 720 ATV2? Is one WiFi and the other Ethernet? Have you tried switching the ATV2 to WiFi if Ethernet?
Has the MAC been restarted since this started happening? Same with your Router and any other networking device being used? Sometimes an IP conflict can arise in your networking and most consumer networking equipment does not know how to "self heal" without a reboot.
Make sure you have given those things a whirl and share back your results. Any other information you can provide, such as how you connect to your network from each ATV and MAC. -

Well, Tiger is OSX version 10.4 In addition there are sub-versions such as 10.4.2, 10.4.6, up to the latest sub version 10.4.11 (note, that is an eleven at the end). The information you report doesn't really fit into this pattern so we need to determine what exactly it is that you have installed.
Jumping ahead, if by "1.5" you really mean "10.5" that isn't Tiger at all but Leopard. To get that on your computer you will have to purchase a retail (discs black in color) installer set of Leopard from Apple online, from a retailer near you, or used. If you buy used make certain it is the black retail set of discs, not gray ones as those will not install on your computer.
One other thing added in edit. You say, "I have G4 Tiger and want to install PPC G5 1.5 GHz" A G4 is one kind of computer, a G5 is another. I think at this stage it would help greatly to determine what exactly it is you have since that will affect what kind of systems you can run. Go to the apple in the upper left hand corner of your screen. Select "About this Mac" then "more info" Copy and paste the information in a reply but remove the serial number. You can paste that serial number into [this linked web site|http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html] and copy and paste the model information here.

When I close Firefox, there are two underlying windows that I have to close every time. How do I get rid of them for good and prevent this from continuing to happen. Both windows were opened by me during viewing at some point, so they did originate from me.

Need to re-download TV Show and music
I have recently purchased and downloaded a TV show. It took hours - through the night! But it did downloaded completely.
When I finally wanted to watch it, I had to download it again?!
Also, music I have bought and downloaded onto my iphone and listened to many times - all of a sudden is cannot be listened to and I must download all over again.

I'd appreciate any help and pointersThe Check For Available Downloads is for checking to see if you have any pre-orders ready to download, or if you had 'automatic downloads' turned 'on' on that computer when you purchased items on a different computer/device - it doesn't redownload past purchases.
What you can redownload should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes - is that what you mean by 'when I click on purchased music' ? If you've changed countries since buying the music, or if it's no longer in the store, then you won't be able to redownload it (and music can't be redownloaded in all countries) - you could also check to see if any is hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
Or if you still have your old computer then you could copy it over from that : iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer

With keyboard space at a premium having a language change button on the main board seems quite silly. IMO it should be put in options/language. And on a side note I would really like to see the apostrophe on the main board... I find myself not using conjunctives just so I do not have to go to the symbol screen.
I really hope the feb update fixes some of this, I know the keyboard has been updated -

Apple's Camera Connection Kit includes both an SD adapter and a USB adapter. You can use an SD card or an adapted Mini SD card with the SD adapter. You can use a USB thumb drive with the USB adapter, as well as a USB adapter for other cards such as Compact Flash. (Some card adapters draw too much current and require a powered USB hub to work.)
It is required that the camera card or thumb drive be formatted as MS-DOS FAT, just as if it had been formatted in a camera. Photos and videos must be in a folder named DCIM, and have names consisting of 8 characters plus suffix, just as they would have been named in a camera.
Some video formats are not compatible with the iPad video player and must be converted on your computer. (The iPad can read M4V, MP4 and some MOV files.)
