Do I need to install IIS to provide SSO to EP60

i am installing EP60 and read on security guide that in order to provide SSO to the portal i need to go throught IIS and install it by myself.
is it really nessery touse iis for building SSO(Nt Authentication) for the portal
Thanks
Asher Benbenisty

Hello Asher,
if you want to establish a user logon based on NTLM or Kerberos (aka "Windows integrated authentication"), so that users do not need to log on to the portal explicitely, then YES, you do have to use MS IIS for this.
This is simply due to the fact, that when using Windows integrated authentication, the IIS handles the authentication process and simply forwards the user ID to the portal server.

  • Installing IIS on Exchange 2007

    Hi,
I need to install IIS for RAID controller program on Windows server 2008 r2 which running Exchange server 2007.
Before installing Dell RAID software, one of the system requirements is IIS. I was wondering it might affect the Exchange server after the installation.
    Would this affect Exchange?

IIS is installed in Exchange2007 it is a pre-requisite of Exchange2007 installation.
First make sure which port will be using by RAID software,  80 and 443 is used by Exchange. Make sure it will not get conflict/replace with any exchange vdirectories If you want you can try the software if it is other than 80,443.
Note: If you are not familiar with IIS I suggest not to install any other software in which IIS will be used as it may create problem for you in future for troubleshooting IIS Exchange virtualdirectories.
    Thanks, MAS

  • Cons of installing installing IIS on Business Objects server

    Hello Everyone,
Kindly help me with a doubt, how Business Objects server is going to be affected if we will install IIS in it. Cause I have another WCF application and have to host on the same server for which I need IIS to be installed.
Thank you for your time and patience!

There is a .NET version of InfoView/BI Launchpad and the CMC that you would have to install after installing IIS.  However, they are missing some functionality that your users may want/need - in particular in the Webi application.  I know that at a former employer, I had to move off of our initial install on IIS to Tomcat because users couldn't run the Java versions of the Webi viewer and designer, so they couldn't get to some of the more complex analysis tools in their reports.
I did a quick search but was unable to find the specifics on this.  Hopefully someone from SAP will check this thread and provide a link to some sort of comparison document.  There is a mention that the comparison between the HTML viewer/designer and the Java applet will be published soon (as of last November) here http://scn.sap.com/community/businessobjects-web-intelligence/blog/2012/11/06/webi-influence-council-qa-and-presentation-from-teched-las-vegas.

I upgraded my iBook G4 from 384MBytes to 640Mbytes and upgraded from Tiger to Leopard.
After a few weeks the HDD failed. I bought a new disk, installed it and trued to install Leopard, but the  install fails reporting "insufficient memory".
I assume the installation requires more memory than the OS actually needs to be able to run.
I need Tiger install CD/DVD so I can install Tiger first and then upgrade to Leopard.

Call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a reasonable fee, they will supply a replacement set of system discs (if available).
The discs will be for the original version of the OS that was pre-installed when the Mac was manufactured.
You need much more RAM than that.

  • What drivers do i need to install on my Lenovo Y530 after installing Windows 7???

I just installed Windows 7 on my new Lenovo Y530 and want to know what drivers need to be installed. A few problems is the surround sound speakers, the laptop had amazing sound before i put 7 on it and now the speakers aren't working together.
Also the Veriface login isnt working, does anyone know how to connect it properly??
Also what other drivers need to be re-installed to bring it back to full functionality???
    thanks for all the help

You're using the MS .NET Framework Provider for Oracle. You will need to install the Oracle client on each client machine using a Windows Form to access Oracle.
You will also need to include the MS .NET Framework Provider for Oracle. I can't remember if MS includes it with .NET Framework or not, however.

  • I need to install a keyboard driver without a keyboard

I need to install a USB keyboard driver on my Mac Mini without a keyboard (my USB mouse works fine, and my original keyboard is 1000 miles away). I have only one USB keyboard in this house but the driver to make it work with OS X is on the Logitech website, which I have downloaded onto a CD. I can run the driver installation program by using the mouse, but OS X demands that I provide the system password with the keyboard in order to install the keyboard driver. That's a catch-22. MY QUESTION: is there a program that I can download for Mac OS X that will let me enter keystrokes using the mouse?

MY QUESTION: is there a program that I can download for
Mac OS X that will let me enter keystrokes using the mouse?
No download needed, but this is going to be painful. FontBook will do what you want.
Fire up FontBook by browsing using the mouse to the Applications folder.
Under the Edit menu, choose "Special Characters". A Character Palette will appear. View Code Tables so that you get the full set of fonts. Basic Latin (the first set) would be best so that you don't get into unicode issues. At this point you've got two choices:
    (1) it appears that the character palette works on whatever program is in the foreground. So you could click on whatever program's window you want to type keys into, double click on the appropriate character in the character palatte and it will insert (or select the character, click the Insert button).
    (2) if you aren't a perfect "typist" (clicker), you might want to insert whatever characters you want to type into a TextEdit document, copy (drag select, choose copy from the Edit menu), change to whatever program you want to provide keys for, paste. But certain programs (login windows, etc.) may not let you use a menu choice for paste.
Painful, but it can be done.

  • What do I need to install?

OK, I am an Oracle newbie here, so go easy on me. Here at my job I just got a new computer and I need to figure out what Oracle products I need to install in order to continue doing my work.
My new PC is a 64-bit Windows 7 desktop computer. It has Crystal Reports 2008 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Visual Studio also has Crystal Reports for Visual Studio installed. The work I do has me writing reports against the database our vendor-supplied software uses, which is an Oracle 10g database (I believe). I know that I currently use the Oracle 10g client on my old computer (32-bit Windows 7) to connect to this database.
In addition to running reports, I also have custom written console applications written in C# which query this Oracle database. It does this by referencing the Oracle.DataAccess DLL file. The version of that DLL is 10.2.0.100.
Now, my assumption was that I needed the Oracle Client installed, and since I was using the 10g client before, I looked for this again but in a 64-bit compatible version. It does not appear that this exists, or it did at one point and does not anymore. So I tried instead to use the 64-bit compatible version for 11g. I managed to get that installed and used the info from my old tnsnames.ora file to set up connections to my old production and development databases, but that was all the further I could get. I believe I also need something called Oracle Data Access installed as well, but I couldn't seem to find the right version of that.
Oracle is outside of the scope of what we normally do here in our shop, so I haven't managed to find anyone here who can assist me. I'm hoping the good folks here can tell me, based on what I have and what I need to do, what I need to install. If there is any more I can provide that will help (version numbers, etc.), just let me know. Thanks!

    Hi,
You need two cables, one is a sata cable:
    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/30305659/706331346/StarTech-com-6in-SATA-to-Right-Angle-SATA-Serial-AT...
This cable is only for data and connects the hdd to the SATA connector on the motherboard.
The other cable is for power:
    http://www.itpartsdirect.com/startech-15-24cm-4-pin-molex-to-sata-power-cable-adaptor.html
This connects the hdd to the PSU.
You can also buy a combo cable like this:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00064GBT4/?tag=hydra0b-21&hvadid=9550951989&ref=asc_df_B00064GBT4
All you have to do now is to connect the hdd and that's it. Make sure that the primary drive with the operating system is connected to the primary SATA connector (I think there are numbers 1, 2, 3..)

  • Need to install a second copy (per EULA)

I have a single user license for RoboHelp 7. I need to
install a second copy of the software on my laptop. Have not been
    successful yet.
Section 2.5 ("Portable or Home Computer Use") of the EULA
expressly permits a single license user to install a second copy of
the software on a laptop. However, the software activation
mechanism prevents this. I installed the software, but it will not
run until activated. Attempts to activate it result in an error
about the software license already being activated and giving me
the choice of deactivating the copy on my desktop (my main
    machine).
I have only a limited time need for this second copy. The
very specific purpose is to have a copy of the software on my
laptop to show my RoboHelp work to potential employers during
interviews. This complies with the EULA as I would not be using the
software simultaneously on my other computer at home. Once I get a
job, I have no need for this second copy and would uininstall it.
Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

    Welcome to the forum.
Indeed you can install on a second machine but without doubt
the copy you are using has been activated twice already. This can
occur if your machine has been reformatted and you did not
deactivate first. Maybe your desktop machine was changed and you
installed on the new machine without deactivating on the old one.
Could a colleague have installed it to take a look?
Go back to the activation screen and it will advise you what
to do. You need to phone the number that you can find there and
explain the problem. I had this after a hard disk failure and was
    given an activation number.

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and
               terms apply.
Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater.

  • What type of screwdriver do I need to install AirPort/Bluetooth Card  A1126

My airport extreme card was causing kernel panics, and I discovered one antenna wire was unplugged, but without unscrewing the card, I'm unable to plug the antenna back in. My question is what type of screwdriver do I need to unscrew the card? I have a 17" iMac G5 without the built in iSight and the layout is exactly like the one pictured in this DIY guide : http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacG517inchharddrive.pdf
Thanks for any help you can provide! :-D

Thank you for the link, but they only list a DIY install guide for the original iMac G5. My airport/bluetooth card is very similar/almost exact to the card found in the iSight iMac G5s.
My logic board layout looks exactly like this http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacg517inch_PowerSupply.pdf as opposed to http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacG517inchAirPort.pdf where the airport card is much larger and doesn't require a special screwdriver for replacement. I'm not really in need of install instructions, but rather what specific screwdriver/allen wrench is needed to get the card off the board.
thank you guys for any info you can provide...

What version of LR supports Lumix DMC LX7 RAW files? do I need to install Camera RAW plug-in?

The Camera Raw plugin is for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
The functionality provided by Camera Raw is already built in to Lightroom.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 was first supported in Lightroom 4.2 so Lightroom 5 will be fine.
