Do we have DT@RT APIs to create a REST data control

ADF has implemented REST data control in MAIN. I have some queries as follows .
1. What’s the security model it’s based on ?
2. Do we have DT@RT APIs to create a REST data control ?
Could you please provide some reference regarding above info ?

Not sure what you are talking about, but if you are an Oracle employee you should ask this question on an internal forum!

URGENT ! Is it possible to create a xml data control description file

We are encountering serious problem when generating data control against java bean build from java classes generated with xml top link mapping.
As workaround we have created a new xml schema that generate the java classes in a way data control may be generated correctly but we have to declare manually each class for java.util.list attribute that are not types by top link.
Unfortunately some classes seem not to described by a data control xml files for a reason we cannot understand because others similar classes are correctly described.
To gain time - we have to finish our development -we would force de data control structure by manually adding class data control definition file that are missing.
Just adding the file in the pasckage is not sufficient.
What do we have to update to make this file active ?

Solved my problem by referencing the parent class correctly so the child class xml definition was created by the data control wizard and editable in the structure window.

Getting errors when creating Web Services Data Control in Jdev 11.1.2.4.0

I am on Jdev 11.1.2.4.0 Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.4.0_GENERIC_130421.1600.6436.1
When I am trying to create Web Services Data Control for SOAP, it gives 'Invalid WSDL File' for any WSDL file and shows following error:
oracle/adfdtinternal/model/adapter/webservice/utils/WSUtils$DefaultAuthPrompter
and in 'feedback' tab:
Already logged bug for [NoClassDefFoundError in o.j.webservices.wsdl.CachedWSDLReader:394]
Also if I try to create a new Request in HTTPAnalyzer and give a WSDL it shows following exception:

Unable to create web Service Data Control

I'm trying to consume a service in my UI. And under it, I'm creating a data control for the service WSDL given below
[http://pc181356.cts.com:8001/soa-infra/services/default/GetPatientDetailsPrj/a2t_getpatientdetailsprocess_client_ep?WSDL]
I verified the link in browser & is working good, But in the wizard it is giving error as "Failed to read WSDL file caused by: java.net.ConnectionException: Connection timed out".
Please help me out..!!!

Do you have a proxy defined in your jdev? This might prevent reading from the address you specified.
If you can access the url in a browser, you can store the WSDL on your local pc and use the local file to create the webServiceDataControl.

Bug: Creating Web Service data Control

Hi,
I am facing a issue while creating a web service data control.
While creating the data control I have given the path of the wsdl file saved in my filesystem. Once the data control is created, when I expand the created datacontrol in the data control palette, the output parameter is set of string while I expected it to generate ListOfQuote type. Here is the WSDL snippet. Is this a bug in JDeveloper? Please suggest a solution to this as without the proper output parameter, I am not abel to execute the web servce method call.

Create web service data control failed

I got the following pop-up msg at the end of the WS data control wizard:
DCA-29000: Unexpected exception caught:java.lang.NullPointerException,msg=null
I have validated the wsdl xml (open in JDeveloper). The schema is in order. It is large wsdl with numerous complex type elements. The error message is not giving me any clue at all. Where (logs??) can I find more detail msg where WS data control is generated from a wsdl?
p/s The wsdl is too large to be posted here.

Hi,
the error message indicates an invalid connection. However, you don't provide lots of details here so that I can only guess that maybe the connectios.xml file is not updated with a connection. If you don't have anything more specific to follow up with, I recommend to work with Oracle customer support to have a look at the problem

In BPEL 10.1.3.1, a java client could use the "Locator" API's to look up a BPEL service and invoke it directly from Java,

Eric, when I select the BPEL wsdl file in "Create Web Service Data Control" wizard, immediately I am getting the error. When I click 'OK', the 'Service' dropdown is disabled and blank in the wizard.

"Source not found" Error creating URL Data control with query parameters

Hi,
I have a restful service for which i want to create a URL data control. I am able to create the URL data control successfully when i am not passing any parameters in the Source field. But if i am specifying the parameters in the source field like this Department=##ParamName##, something weird is happening. After giving the param string in the Source field, it asks for default param value to test the url. It tests the url successfully. After that i select XML as the data format in which i am mentioning the xsd like this . "file:///C:/..../something.xsd" . And this is when i am getting the error. "Invalid Connection. The source is not found". I am giving exactly same path for xsd which i gave while creating URL data control without query parameters. Infact i was able to create the URL data control with query parameters successfully till afternoon. after that it started giving me this error all of a sudden. Infact as soon as i was able to create a URL data contol with query parameter successfully, i took a backup of the application before moving further. But even that backup is not working now.
As far as i understand, i dont think there will be any change in xsd if query params are passed to a web service. Please correct me if i am wrong.
Just dont know what could be the issue. Please help

Using JDev Studio 10.1.3.2
Trying to use a new URL data control pointing to a csv file.
I have successfully create a new URL data control using the New Gallery->Web Services->URL Services Data Control. I have successfully tested the connection and I am able to see the Data control in the DC Palette. The attributes shown are correct.
However, when I create a test client displaying the new CSV Data Control attributes in a table and try to run it, I get the following error:

Creating a adf page based on webservice data control

hello
i am using latest version of jdev 11g from otn.
i created a VO based on EO and define a view criteria as well. i added that to a AM and exposed it as web service and deployed to a wls server.
now i wish to created a adf page based on it so i created a ws data control based on the wsdl.
in the data control section now i see service as findSearchOrder. When i try to drop it on the page it created a adf form with two input boxes findControl and findCriteria.
So, I am not able to understand how exactly these are going to map to the actual search parameters?
Please advise

If you want to retrieve all records, you can set them to null.
But of course, it depends on what you want to archive (I suppose you want a search form?).

Unable to create EJB Data Control

Hi,
I'm using JDEveloper 11.1.1.7.
I've a Fusion Application, and I need to create an EJB Data Control for an EJB placed in another project, let's say:
Application A:
Model
ViewController
Application BEJBs
I'v tried to create the data control for the EJB from the Model, first referencing directly the library of the EJB inside the model, after by adding the src folder to the Project and last of all, creating an ejb inside the Model and using the Interface referenced from the external library. All these attempts were negative, when I launch the wizards, I'm only able to choose the EJB from the library but after, when it ask me for the remote/local interface both combos are empty.
What am I doing wrong?

Thank for the answer.
The EJB must be in another Application because it follow a different development cycle, with other people working on it, so it isn't possibile ( and affordable ) to merge it with the new Application.
Of course, we found a way to communicate with the EJB from the Web App, writing a wrapper class around EJB methods, but, in that way we skip all the benefit from the EJB Data Control.

OIM 11g R1 API to create business rule

Hi,
I have a requirement where new companies get created quite often and hence the roles for companies, access policies, authorization policies is to be created.
I tried figuring out if there is any api to create business rules and authorization policies?
Configuring companies (along with polices and business rules) is a tedious job and I am trying to find some way to automate it.

When i go to the request templates, and try to create a new one, the "Create Role" is not a valid request type.
I would suggest you create an authorization policy that grants permission to create roles. And then you can create an approval policy for action of "Create Role" and configure it so that you trigger an approval process.

Are there any APIs to create an Invoice in Oracle Payables?

Hi,
We have a requirement to import the invoices from the operational systems. We will be making approximately 7,000 checks a day. We need to import all these payments information into Oracle Payables as Invoices and then process the payments out of Oracle payments module. We are on EBS 12.1.1
Were there any APIs to create the invoices directly in Payables as it comes from custom application? We could use payables open interface but as we would like to integrate the payables module with custom application it would be nice if invoice creates directly in Payables through APIs.

Is there an API to create new PO ?

I have a requirement to create a PO. Unfortunately in this case I cannot use open interface table to do that.
Actually I just need to create PO header record. I can load the lines using open interface.
Is there any API to create PO Header record ?

Thanks for the response. I have seen some packages that POForm/OpenInterface uses to create record into PO Headers but the validation is all over in those.
Can you please give me any private API or tell me where I can find it.
