  • Why offer a great product when you have horrible customer service dept?

    I have never dealt with an organization that didn't keep a call log of a simple issue that was never handled properly & that ultimately had me cut my ties with them. I was a excellent customer with a monthly payment of nearly $200. I guess I should've paid $100 more to be treated better. I love the products that they have to offer but if I have to go through so much grief, to get my order right then I'd be an idiot for staying with them, when it could happen again. You guys do not know how to handle, coordinate & facilitate your customers' issues. You reps. are horribly trained & do not know what they are doing. Can you believe that they had no record of any complaints by me when on several occasions & through many different means, I had made such complaints. It's so bad that I was suppose to get my service on a Saturday & today, Thursday, I am still without service. NO MORE! THE TIES ARE CUT! NO MORE HEADACHES!

    I wanted to purchase a Sony PS4 Last of Us remastered bundle online and pick it up in a store, however, none were in stock locally. It showed that it was in stock online for shipping. I did not want to ship an item this expensive to my home and have it sitting outside on my porch all day, so I wanted to order it and ship it to my local store. There appeared to be no way to do that online, so I opened a chat session with Best Buy customer service. After explaining what I wanted to do to this person, they proceeded to ask for SKU numbers and zip codes and to just repeat back to me what I had already told them, that it was not in stock locally. I HAD already established that fact. I told her I wanted it shipped to the store and not to my home and she said you cannot do that. <br><br>Later that evening, I decided to check the stores in a different city where I was going over the weekend to see if it was in stock and if so, I would be able pick it up then. I was glad to see that it showed the item as being in stock and I placed an order online and selected a store for pickup. I received an order confirmed email and soon after I received a YOUR ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email. I was very happy that things were working out so that I could get the Sony PS4 after all because it was a last minute surprise birthday gift for my child. However, things went horribly bad soon after I read the "your order is ready for pickup" email. I was not available to answer the phone and an employee from the store that I had selected for pickup left a message on our machine stating that the Sony PS4 Last of Us bundle that I had ordered was not available and did I want to get something else instead. My child was the one that played the message back and came running asking if I was buying a PS4. <br><br>Needless to say, I am irate over all of this. I had received an ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email, so why did I get that If the order was NOT READY FOR PICKUP?!! Why is one of your store employees calling my house and saying it's not available after I was sent the order is ready for pickup email? I am so angry over that phone call because it ruined the birthday surprise that I had planned for my child. She has been wanting the PS4 since last year and I had purposely made her believe that I wasn't going to get her one. You should realize that people buy things as gifts throughout the year and you should not be calling and leaving messages stating what someone ordered where other family members can hear the message too. Regardless of that, I never should have been getting the phone call in the first place, since I had already received an ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email. {removed per forum guidelines} <br><br>You are the most incompetent retail business that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have ordered from you in the past and the transactions were satisfactory then. The employees at my local store to your credit are knowledgable and friendly, but that is more to do with them, than it is to do with you as an employer. You do not know your own online retail business and you do not offer customers the more secure option of shipping something to their local store instead of to their home. You cannot keep track of the true status of your online transactions. You treat your online customers like they are idiots and do not know how to search for items to see if they are in stock within local stores. Overall, you SUCK at customer service.<br><br>By the way, I'm canceling this order with you. After I got the phone call from your store employee telling me the PS4 was not available, I went online and ordered it from Walmart instead and I'm picking it up at a local store like I wanted.     I would just like to know if I can retrieve a Note (in the notes app on the phone-Iphone 5) that I accidentally erased. Is this possibe please??

    We are not Apple here. This is a user to user support forum.
    If you deleted the Note, then it is deleted unless you have a backup of your device with that note on it in either iCloud or iTunes.

  • Press 1 if you think Verizon Customer Service is Awful

    I consider myself Verizon's idea of the "perfect" customer. 
    First, I have the FIOS Bundle package (phone, internet, TV) with all the bells and whistles, including all the movie channels and sports packages. 
    And, until very recently, I was a longtime Verizon wireless customer.
    The problem is that Verizon treats me like I'm some kind of idiot.  I get an e-mail that reads (in part): "According to our records, you have not yet accepted the FiOS Bundle Customer Agreement that contains the terms and conditions covering your Verizon FiOS Triple Bundle. In order to receive the discounts associated with this bundle for 12 consecutive months, please review and accept the agreement...."
    OK, fine. So I click the link. It asks me for my username and password.  I try to use my Verizon logon. No, apparently that doesn't work.  I need another username/password. 
    I call up support, and after going through a bunch of convoluted menus, I get through to a human being who says I need to talk to someone from e-center. {word filter avoidance}   Apparently, I need a username and password from there.  I tell the customer service person I'd like to confirm my bundle via the mail.  "I'm sorry, you can't do that.  We need you to confirm this online so that we have recourse in case you cancel."
    Really!! That's funny because I didn't have to go online to confirm my cell phone plan (formerly with Verizon), and I sure {edited} don't need to go online to any of the other bills that have for electricity, gas, water.  Apparently, FIOS is so incredible you can only do it online.  The customer person says, "It's like a digital fingerprint!!"  Oh, really! Gosh, thanks!
    So I realize nothing will come of this rant, but you {word filter avoidance}  who run this company should really {please keep your posts courteous}  try calling your own company's customer service lines to see what it's like.
    And while I'm at it, as a former Verizon shareholder you really made an idiot move by not coming to some sort of agreement with Apple to be the exclusive carrier of the iPhone.  I give you kudos for investing so heavily in fiber so many years ago, but your customer service is awful.  Just awful.

    Your post on the forum is DEAD ON !!!  I've spent two days trying to deal with Verizon. The customer service is NON EXISTANT !!!  It took 6 hours (at my work) trying to find somone who even remotely knew where and how to begin to help. Unfortunately, (status quo) I was put on hold and we were disconnected.  Gee, I'm not too ticked off at this point, I've only been disconnected like 20 times since.
    After going home, and spending another 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Verizon, the issues with the services I chose are straightened out. I think???
    Now .......I'm trying to activate the bundle online.  WHAT A JOKE !!!!  Their stupid www.verizon.net/fiosbundleterms website doesn't work. After reading other posts, it appears mailing it in doesn't work either.
    I'm so sorry I ever switched from COMCAST. At least their customer service system worked. I am regretting the day when I have real problems, like with the equipment, etc. Hats off to the COMCAST customer service !!!

  • Terrible Online & Customer Service Purchase Experience!

    Tried to purchase a cell phone online and everything appeared ok. I received the email letting me know the purchase was complete, I then received a 2nd email stating,"We're sorry, but an item on your order placed on July 11, 2014 has been canceled because we were unable to verify your information."
    I called the number listed in the email to find out why this occurred and the gentleman I spoke to advised me that he does not have access to that information and would put a request in for someone to get back to me. I asked him how long that would take and he advised me 2-3 weeks!
    I hung up with him and called to place the order with a customer service representative instead of using the website. I even used a different credit card just in case. Well, guess what? Exact same scenario happened again!
    I finally completed my purchase by visiting the store the following day and used the same credit card that I used the night before.
    This is totally unacceptable and Best Buy should be ashamed that they denying customer purchases and unable to tell them the reason why!

    Our hope is that everyone who places an order through BestBuy.com has a terrific experience all the way from placing the order to when they receive it and beyond.  I am truly sorry to hear that your particular experiences did not live up to this expectation.
    Generally, when you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order, but this is not a confirmation that it will be completed.  Usually when we cancel an order due to being “unable to confirm your information” it is because something in your order information is not matching up.  This could be anything from a misspelling in your billing and shipping information to the billing address on your BestBuy.com account not matching the billing address on your credit card. 
    To get more specific information, our agents would need to have your case reviewed with our support team, which can generally take about 5-7 business days.  I apologize if the agent exaggerated that it would take 2-3 weeks.  I would recommend that should you choose to place an order again with us in the future, you look over your information to make sure that everything is correct.  This should hopefully eliminate any issues; you can also review our Conditions of Use for BestBuy.com here.

  • Does verizon wireless have a customer service policy?

    I am wondering if Verizon wireless cares about customer service at all.  I was trying to become a verizon customer, and I called and verified pricing.  I was told that I could get pricing for 30 Gb at $130.  I itemized everything in my conversation with the sales person, and came up with a total for my bill.  I was very specific in everything that I needed, and the prices I was willing pay.  I have two lines that I was going to bring over, and I told them that I didn't want to receive the phones at different times, because I don't want to carry two phone bills at once.  The phones were both scheduled to ship out at the same time.  Well, the one phone shipped early.  I called and talked to several people at the call center, and someone assured me that both phones would be in the package.  The next day, one phone showed up.  I called and talked to someone again at the call center.  They told me that I could take my existing phone, with my new phone, and have them both activated at a verizon store, so I can activate both lines at the same time.  I waited until after work, and I drove up to the store.  I found out at that time, that it wasn't possible.  So, I got back on the phone with more awful customer service call center employees.  I was transferred several times, hung up on a few times, and finally talked to someone who tried to help.  He told me that I can hold on to the phone that arrived early, and I can wait to activate it when the second phone arrives.  I took him at his word, and waited. 
    On saturday, I called to check and see what would happen if I went to the apple store and bought the phone, instead of waiting to receive the other phone from verizon.  I was going over pricing when I was informed that the 30 Gb that was supposed to be $130, was input into my account at $225.  I told them they were mistaken, and they told me the offer was only valid until 11/05/2014.  I placed my order on 11/10/2014, and I was very specific.  I told them that I was offered the pricing, and they told me there was nothing they could do.  I called several more times, and I ended up talking to someone who told me my salesperson and her supervisor wouldn't be in until monday.  I battled back and forth for the last 2 days making 30 calls to only be continuously lied to, transferred, and received different stories depending on which call center I ended up at.  These customer service call centers are not Verizon employees, and they don't give a crap about you, or the service you receive.  They lie to you, and try to trap you into a plan you didn't sign up for.  I can only receive half the data I signed up for, or I can pay full price for what I ordered.  I ask you, where is the customer service?  Anyone who is thinking about becoming a verizon customer, or anyone who is thinking about renewing needs to get offers in writing, because they will lie to your face, and tell you there is nothing they can do.

    This is not the experiece that I like to read about. I want to make sure that everything is on the right track. I want to have a chance to go over the information with you. I do see that the 30GB data plan for $130 was a promotion that ended at the start of November.

  • COMACAST PROCLAIMS TO HAVE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE - Yea RIGHT!

     I cannot tell you how frustrated I am with your Company. Promises, Promises, and yet no delivery! So lets get to the recent events and then we will go backwards.I moved into my new home in May of this year. I had Comcast come into my home. I kept ALL my old equipment because I had to ask, as in the past I had to pack it all up and take it to a store. Everything was installed, this time. I signed YET another 2 year agreement for HOME Security. Was offered, AGAIN the "Security Camera". If you know your products, you would know that by Definition that is NOT a security camera, but a SPY CAM. So the technician takes my old (security) tablet back, and guess what happens, COMCAST thinks now I want to shut my home security off. So they shut it off. I had NO knowledge, no warning. I had still believed that my security system was fully functional. EXCEPT the "Spy Cam", because I have NO need to spy on my fish! I needed to reduce some costs. I call COMCAST early this month to see what I can eliminate, reduce to lower my bill. AT THIS time I find out that my home security was shut off. And that I was going to see an early termination fee on my account. PERFECT! Again, I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS! I cannot modify my account due to the ETF being applied to my account. So I have to WAIT until a technician comes to my home to activate it. Two weeks, I wait, with still almost $700.00 on my account because it was COMCAST that messed up. Today a tech shows up. Has NO CLUE what was needed to fix the situation. (SECOND TIME IN TWO YEARS THIS HAS TAKEN PLACE). I have my roommate here for the tech to JUST activate my security. NOPE, he says, this is an install. NO it was NOT an install. This was ONLY an activation. So he replaces ALL the equipment except the touch pad. My room mate signed off on the WORKORDER that he was here and completed his job. I get in the email, A NEW CONTRACT that starts today! NO NO NO, I moved here in May and THAT is when my contract is SUPPOSED to start. Here is the BEST Part! SOME ONE ELSE SIGNED IT. And it was NOT my room mate. It was FORGED! My Signature is FORGED on your contract. Now, as it sits, that contract is NULL and VOID with a FORGED signature on it. I have been on the phone ALL day trying to get this resolved. 13 people, 7 phone calls, and NO ONE CARES if I die today. Charge the customer, laugh at the customer. REALLY? I have been in IT and CUSTOMER Service for 30 years. This is NO way to treat a customer. This is BY FAR the WORST customer service I have EVER received. I was promised call backs. NEVER happened. LIES, LIES LIES, just like the "SECURITY CAMERA". Folks across the US are installing these camera believing these are true security cameras and not just SPY CAMS. Some one WILL get an understanding of this and will come back to COMCAST. If they don't I WILL!!! I year ago, I moved into my apartment. It took three (3) techs to install all of my equipment. The first didn't install (then what I believed was a security camera). I called back to have it installed. That Tech had NO CLUE as to why he was there. And when I told him, he first told me he would call me in the next 24 hours to come back with I needed because he didn't have it on his truck. The third showed up, with equipment, but BLASTED COMCAST. Knocking Comcast down. Telling me how bad things were. Told me ALL about the famous Camera. He even said to me customers will be in for a shock when they go to retrieve the recordings. I was charged for ALL three services. Ok, I want and set rate for my services. $175.00 a month. I'm NOT going any where for some time. I have to have internet as I work for the Veterans Affairs here in Pittsburgh, PA. I work from home a lot. I want 1 free year of Home Security Services. I want 1 year on the contract. Again, I have spent SO much time on the phone with COMCAST (APROX 40 hours). My stress and anxieties have GONE through the roof! NO ONE WILL HELP ME! I will take this FORGED Contract to the authorities, and I will follow up with something about the camera. OR we work something out. COMCAST Will not get away with treating a customer like this. I do not want any premium channels, i REFUSE to accept another offer of a FREE "Security Camera", which I have been offered many times now. PLEASE HELP!

  • Bought two new phones from Verizon and can't activate either - does sprint or AT&T have better customer service?

    HELP!!!  I bought two new phones from Verizon stores for Christmas presents and can't activate either one.  When I try to go on-line I get a message that the activations can't be processed. 
    When I try to call, I get a message that they have Activation support for today but long hold times (understandable) and the automated system keeps hanging up on me (not understandable).
    Any hints on how to talk to someone and get these working today?

    massive frustration that the phone process kept hanging up on me.  finally got to chat with a customer service person (not sure how because I could never find a chat option on-line).  Kari was GREAT; stayed with me and fixed what ever needed to be fixed.

  • I just downloaded 15 songs, almost half will only play parts of the songs. Some only will play 2 seconds!! How do I fix this? Apple doesn't exactly have a customer service number and I've already paid for my purchases. This has never happened before.

    I just downloaded 15 songs to my ipod and only about half will fully play. The others only play a minute or two with some only playing for seconds. I have never had this happen before. There isn't exactly a customer service number for apple so I'm not sure what to do. I'm pretty irritated sonce I've paid for all of them. Please help!!!

    I would delete them from your library and then redownload them from the iTunes Store.

    We are currently using RC for the following:
    Travel – to manage approvals, an auto close task then sends the requested itinerary to our travel providers for booking
    Plant – currently in first iteration of configuration for plant/asset services, including plant mobilisation, plant/asset requests, plant hire, plant damage notification
    HR – starting configuration for onboarding services around employee termination & transfer, new employee setup
    Facilities – simple things like reporting facility issues, requesting swipe cards, ID cards etc.
    Procurement – we already have an electronic system, but we’re leveraging RC to manage authorities for requesting the right to approve items, plus we’re integrating with the procurement system to lookup authority matrix for authorising req’s in requestcentre
    We’re a fairly new install, but we’ll be targeting any process in the company that currently uses a paper trail to manage approvals.

  • TS2972 I have tried all of these suggestions and still nothing happens after I turn on Home Sharing on both computers. PLEASE HELP!!!! And why does Apple make you pay for customer service? Does anyone else find that totally irrational?

    Can anyone explain why I can't get Home Sharing to work? I've tried every suggestion I can find and nothing works.

    Scan the Support Community sites. Apple TV losing connection is prevalent. The many postings point out the problem occurs with Apple TV1,2and 3; with different brands of router including Airport Extreme; from current and past versions of iTunes; after varying periods of working well.....minutes, hours, days; losing connection with Home Sharing and loosing Airplay; whether the router and Apple TV are in same room or separated by distance; after trying innumerable posted 'fixes'; after exchanging for a new Apple TV.
    Readers, please don't post a fix until you check it works for atleast a week.

    Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I have to pose a question. 
    If online support can't make basic changes to customers accounts then how are they supposed to "support" the account?
    The definition of support being "To provide for or maintain."  Giving someone the task of supporting while robbing them of the tools they need to do their job is like giving soldiers a rifle with no bullets.
    Now I understand red is the favorite color of verizon, but there is no reason to go that far my technical comrads.
    Also, support over the phone, dear lord, it takes so long for them to pull up things in the system that my leg fell asleep waiting...  2 months to do a simple change on my account, and it's still in progress.
    You need a decent ticket management system, need to learn about distributed database technologies, and build out some process flow if you are going to run a company.
    I am saddened and deeply concerned at the technical flow within' the support and account managment side of verizon, thank god the internet service hasn't seemed to suffer from the same problems so far.

    That depends on what you are referring to as a "basic change" - Tech Support cannot make any changes to your billing, whether over the phone or via chat. They do have several other tools available to help, but if you are trying to change anything related to billing, online chat (tech support) is the wrong department.
