Hi not sure if this is posted in the right place but i'll give it a go anyway.
Would anyone know how to delete credit card details from an Apple account?
Someone posted selecting 'none' in the payment section would work but i logged into my account online on a computer there aren't any options at all to do this.
I tried hitting edit but there isn't a delete button.
If anyone knows any help would be most appreciated!

How do I remove my credit card details from my Apple Account? I do not like the fact that Apple does not provide a clear and simple option to 'Delete a payment card', I definitely do not think this is legal.
I ask this question because I recently received a spam-like message from Apple asking me to log in and update my account. I went in and did that, but I would like to remove credit card details from the account and it is horribly stubborn about holding onto my credit card details.Hi there
Thankyou for the latter responses from ssschmidt and limnos - as it happens I figured this out by myself. Yes, it appears that Apple will not let you delete an account UNTIL YOU HAVE VALIDATED THE CARD DETAILS. That it, until you have given them all of your credit card details - even down to the 3 digit validation number. Only once you have provided this information does the 'Payment type - NONE' appear.
I figure however, that you can just put any 3 digits in, ie, it doesn't need to be your actual 3 pin code, for the system to let you pass to the NONE option.
As I said before, I still think this ***** the big one. Apple should not be insisting on getting customers' bank details in this way - especially since there are these PHISHING emails floating around which look extremely like official Apple communications. It was the receipt of one such email that alerted me to this issue in the first place - thanks Limnos, I didn't respond :-)
This is the first time I've used this 'user to user' set up for a query like this, and I totally think it's ridiculous. This information should be readily available from Apple - no wonder their profit levels are so astromical!

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPad then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

I had my itunes account on my laptop which has since crashed. I had to buy a new computer and iinstall the new version of itunes. It did not pull up any of my information with music library, etc. Does anyone know how to transfer existing music from my itunes account for my ipod to my iphone?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

dvishnuif you simply delete all the apps, storage, databases etc whatever is hosted on azure you should not get charged.

Does anyone know how to delete a podcast episode from iTunes?
Hello,
Myself and some comrades have been producing a podcast for a few weeks now. We were approved to be on the iTunes store, and subsequently available as a subscription thru iTunes... The problem is that for a few days the hosting site we're using wasn't working and we couldn't upload mp3 files, so we were publishing episodes and for the audio we were uploading them onto an alternate site and linking the audio to the published podcast so they would still be available for subscibers thru iTunes. Now, the hosting site is working again, and I'm trying to edit the episodes that were published using links to the alternate sites and change them so that they're using the audio from my hosting site. I've editted the episodes on the hosting site, but even after doing a 'podcast refresh' (ping) the old episodes are still showing up on itunes...
Anyone have any ideas on how to delete or edit individual episodes on itunes without deleting the entire podcast???

I'm not sure if that's what ur asking for, but in case i'm wrong, here's what i think is the feed url:

You'll see what i mean if you see the podcast blog site, the post at the top, "Anarcho-Syndicalism" is published by uploading the mp3 onto the hosting site, the post underneath that, "the coming insurrection (part 2)" is when the upload function wasn't working, and it just has a link to the mp3 hosted on another site. (itunes subscribers still can listen to it, and it doesn't appear different, but for visitors who usually listen using a live stream from the host, it looks different) I'm trying to go from the second post's setup to the first post's setup without re-posting it and having the same file show up twice in itunes which has already happened. also, since i did that already (deleted the post, then re-published it), is there a way to delete the first file (episode) that still shows in itunes for subscribers to our channel??

Hi. I'm trying to make my guest network disappear from the list of network choices that appears to everyone in the neighborhood. Even though I followed the great suggestions on how to delete the network, it's still appearing in the list that everyone sees. It has my name and would prefer to get rid of it.

I wanted it to disappear for everyone so.....I finally solved it by resetting the Airport Extreme to the factory settings and starting over from scratch! It worked! Yay!!!!!
So, for everyone that has had this problem (and I've read many of the same complaints in different places on the Internet), you must go into Airport Utility and check the box stating that you want to reset it to the factory settings. Do not do it with a paper clip and the reset button on the box; I tried that first and it did not work. You must reset it via the Airport Utility. Then just start over and you will have the choice to NOT check the box to Enable Guests. If you want to enable guests, just be sure not to use your name or you're back to the same problem. Apple is so great with everything...wouldn't it have been so easy for them to just put this in the manual somewhere????? Thanks for all your help. Hope this helps others! -

If restoring using your backup didn't work, you'll have to save as much of your data as you can (import your photos to your computer, sync your contacts and other data with iCloud, email things like Notes and Voice Memos to yourself, sync with iTunes to transfer all your purchases, etc.) and then restore it as new without using your backup.

Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and highlight the backup you want to delete and click on Delete Backup

I know you already solved this but for future reference, there is also another setting to only keep songs downloaded to your device visible in music.

Does anyone know how to delete duplicate photographs will it affect photostream
Does anyone know how to delete duplicate photographs I seem to have so many, is this anything to do with photostream as I have an ipad as well. I have over 7000 photos and find it impossible to find them all. When I first got Apple 9 years ago there was a drop down menu that found all duplicates which you could then delete but that was taken off at some point. I would be really gratful for some help i am not savvy with the technical side of computing.
