Does edge animate generate html5 code?

i'm wondering if the code this generates is html 5

thanks for the speedy reply. actually i'm checking out my options going from designing in flash for animated banners to potentially designing in edge animate. my client would like the end file to be an html5 file. just putting my ducks in a row is all. so is the html code html5 on a simple html export or do i have to specify before setting up the file?

  • Does edge animate support any APIs for problematically defining the keyframe transitions ?

    Hi All Edge Animate Enthusiasts
    While playing around with the timeline window , I got a good idea of defining keyframes and modifying css properties of elements for transitions. However , when I look at the Edge Animate JS API, I see that there are functions available only for playing , stopping timeline from specific points ( time , label etc) . This obviously means that the animation sequence should have been defined in the timeline already , but what if I want to dynamically create a keyframe transition for an element in runtime.
    Does Edge Animate support it ?
    Thanks
    -Shyam

    The answer is no. But you can always write plain javascript code to achieve that, using the Edge API just for selecting various elements.
    But I doubt if generating dynamic keyframes using javascript will work as per http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18481550/how-to-dynamically-create-keyframe-css-animati ons
    And if you just want to add a static keyframe animations, then you can create a css file where you define such animations for a class say "myAnimation", and add this class dynamically to the html element which you want to animate by calling addClass() function.
         *You can insert the css rules or link the css file in the html page, by manually editing the html page using any text editor.

  • What advantage does Edge Animate contribute to Flash Pro cc when programming a multi-player (2-4 players) interactive online game?

    What advantage does Edge Animate contribute to Flash Pro cc when programming a multi-player (2-4 players) interactive online game?  If Edge Animate can contribute that advantage to Flash Pro, are any of the other Edge products necessary to program a multi-player interactive online game?  This would be a PC based and not mobile game.

    Additional comment by Phila Biblion: The game under consideration would be PC based and not mobile.

  • Edge Animate install, Error Code:123E6.

    I am trying to install Edge Animate, but I am getting Error Code:123E6. Does anyone know how I could solve this?  I couldn't find any discussion in the forums about it.

    Janedove I am not familiar with that particular error.  I would recommend reviewing the installation log files for the update to determine the exact cause of the failure.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Does Edge Animate have preferences?

    I can't seem to find any in the menus. Most web design apps allow you to specify things like which browser you want to preview in etc.
    Also the UI elements are miniscule. Is Edge Animate "retina ready"? if it is, does that mean the interface scales? if, so, can a user enlarge it to make the items more readable. I have 20/20 vision and I can read the items, but it's unnecesary to have to introduce un-needed fatigue by making all the numbers in the display 10 pixels tall. (I'm using a 1920x1080 display on Windows 7).

    This is not new information to anyone using this product. I have already had to change my system default browser just in order to test my edge animate work more easily, but this is a pain, as I now have to switch this back and forth between edge animate sessions. The idea of software is to make your life easier - not create unnecesary work of copy/pasting URLs in the test/debug/create cycle. This "feature" is trivial to implement and would save the user time - especially in the long run. Without it, the product seems unfinished.
    Also the issue of miniscule text could be easily sorted as to prevent eye-strain and fatigue for long-term usage. This is another gimmie. Particularly if the app is retina-ready, I am puzzled as to why this is not adjustable.
    Anyway, it's all feedback.

  • Does Edge Animate CC have an auto-save function?

    Hi there, I'm migrating from Flash to Edge Animate. In Flash there is a customisable auto-save option - each 10 minutes, each 30 minutes etc. Is Adobe Edge Animate has something similar to this?

    No but it is needed!

  • Why does Edge Animate convert circles and rounded corners into "classic" rectangles?

    Hello Community!
    When creating animations with circles or rounded corners in it, I came across with something strange.
    I published it as .oam-file for Adobe DPS and the circles and rounded corners where converted into rectangles.
    Does anybody know a solution?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hey broekt,
    If you're using the Desktop Viewer ot preview your AN content, some stuff (such as rounded rectangles) isn't supported in their version of Webkit. For true rendering make sure to always test on your iPad

  • Edge Animate : Edge File website structure

    Can the Edge Animate generated code and associated images, js, fonts, etc.
    be contained in a separate folder outside the main directory.
    specifically,
    If I have a separate HTML file that I created and want to load in my Edge Animate project into it,
    I can easily do that if all the files are on the Main directory root that contains the HTML and CSS that point to the edge DIVs.
    however,
    This creates a ton of files on the root.
    Ideally I would like to have all my Eddge Animate projects in a separate folder,
    and my HTML pages pointing to the associated projects.
    something like the image attached
    I can never get this to work
    anyone able to figure this out?

    thanks for the speedy reply. I went and did some tests, and yes
    the new features in Publish settings do help out in tidying up the folder directories. (very much appreciated)
    and for the most part it works
    but I have found a few issues. (and there are probably more)
    on my main directory folder, I have a javascript file that is doing stuff inside my edge project.
    so in edge I reference that custom.js file. in the SCRIPTS panel. (nice feature)
    lets say in that .js file it is just doing an alert('hello');
    so when i publish and load the index.html , it loads the external edge file and does the alert.
    GREAT!
    if i go and change that alert in the js file on the main directory to alert('bob"),
    it will show the new alert
    GREAT
    now however, if I go back to my edge document and republish,
    it reverts back to alert('hello');
    because it seems to generate another js folder and js file and still has a reference to the js file that get duplicated in the "edge" folder
    2)
    font issue.
    i have several edge projects being loaded into this main index.html
    I am using a custom font
    because i am referencing the stylesheet in the main directory the font style does not show up on the stage IDE.
    however, when I play the index.html the font DOES show up as expected.
    it would be nice, when publishing to another folder,
    to be able to point to an external .css and have it show up while working

  • Can we create a single exe file in edge animate

    Hi everyone,
    I am working on an animation in Adobe Edge Animate. The code written in the file is working fine on the browser. The problem that I am facing is to create an exe file (a single file) in which i can see my animation and controls created. Something like flash's projector file which comes in exe fomat. My client is looking for the output in which he wants the animation in Html5 and there could be a single file to run. There shouldn't be images folder or j-query files, just a single file. Please tell me any tool or way, so that i can get the same output in exe format.
    Please help me out in this.

  • Responsive edge animate oam in fluid grid

    Hi, maybe my question is totally rookie one, but I cannot get the responsive Edge Animate package to do resize smoothly in the fuid grid of Dreamweaver.
    Either it is not wide enough or the height does not scale, which results in the footer to be far down.
    It probably has to do with the fixed size of the object tag when I insert the oam.
    <object id="EdgeID" type="text/html" width="960" height="510"  ....
    Changing sizes to 100% works fine for width only, the height behaves strange, showing only a small part of the animation in every view.
    Is this an issue of oam packages or just my poor knowledge of CSS ?
    Attached you find the screenshots:
    Thanks a lot for your help!
    B.

    I came across this problem when recording Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Learn by Video for Adobe Press. The way I handled it was by adding the following block of JavaScript just before the closing </body> tag on the page that contains the Edge Animate object:
    <script>
    function fixHeight() {
      var anim = document.getElementById('EdgeID'),
           w = anim.offsetWidth;
      anim.style.height = (w * .562) + 'px';
    fixHeight();
    window.addEventListener('resize', fixHeight, false);
    </script>
    This gets the width of the animation (the default ID is EdgeID). It then adjusts the height by multiplying the width by 0.562. You will need to fix the scaling ratio in the following line to suit the proportions of your animation:
    anim.style.height = (w * .562) + 'px';
    I can't remember all the details because it's more than a year ago that I did this. As I recall, Edge Animate generates the correct height for the animation, but it doesn't adjust the height of the <object> element used to display it.

  • Create slideshows in edge animate

    good afternoon.
    i am building a website for a web design company i work for. we want to be able to showcase the websites we have built for others by having an animation on our sites website design page that rotates through screenshots of all the sites we have built and when you click on the actively displayed screenshot it takes you to the actual website seen in that screenshot.
    so far the only way i know of doing this is with flash which is what we are using now.
    however this means we are actively discriminating against ios users as apple don't provide flash player on ios.
    so we are looking foralternatives and came across edge animate.
    however i have ran into 2 problems with edge animate that i simply cannot resolve.
    1. while edge animate is great at creating more complicated animations it doesnt appear to be capable of doing simple slideshows by which i mean have an image occupy the entire stage for x amount of time then switch to a different image for x amount of time. instead it treats every image as a seperate layer meaning whichever image is at the front is present the entire length of the animation which is useless for the type of project i am trying to create.
    2. edge animate generates a stand alone html file for every project along with all the imae assets and javascript files which while this helps with compatibility in ensuring more browsers can watch the animation it doesnt give me any way to insert the animation into my website design page.
    any ideas where i can find tutorials that will show me how to overcome these limitations?

    Hey Preran,
    With regards to the help you posted on the forum.
    Any advice on how to incoporate the slideshow to deal with different sized images. I don't want the small ones stretched to fit the original large sized photo but rather scaled up to fit as close fit as possible. I don't mind black space in between.
    Thanks,
    Chaminda.
    I started a thread because I missed this post the first time I was going around.

  • Will an .edge file made with Adobe Edge Animate 1.0 work and load in Adobe Edge Animate 3.0?

    I had the beta version of Adobe Edge Animate, and when it was released I was able to download version 1.0 for free, and it is still installed on my computer today.
    The problem is I might get a new computer, and I'm just wondering if my old projects that I made with that version of Adobe Edge will work correctly if I purchase Edge Animate CC?
    Does Edge Animate CC support backwards compatibility all the way back to 1.0?

    Hi,
    Also, sometime it depends upon the feature as well. it is deprecated in latest release then you may get error or warning.
    Please download trial version of Edge Animate CC 2014 and test your project.

  • Edge Animate not installed

    I recently downloaded Edge Animate CC (2014).  It shows as installed in the Creative Cloud manager, but can't be found in my start menu (Win 7, 32 bit), my installed programs, or browsed into under Program Files.  I was hoping to uninstall and reinstall it from CC, but I have no uninstall options and no clue where to find the Edge Animate files.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ,
    Can you quit Creative Cloud and then relaunch it again?Does Edge Animate CC 2014 show up now in CC?
    You can check this link for more info : CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

    I want to use Adobe Edge Animate. It is sufficient to subscribe to Photoshop for photographers?

    Thanks for the link, the page I saw about 100 times :-)
    Again, you do not understand. Edge Animate is not possible to subscribe individually. Forget now on photographic plan.
    If I subscribe Adobe Muse(this and nothing more) is Edge Animate included?

    Edge Animate CC is available exclusively via Adobe Creative Cloud. Learn more about Creative Cloud subscriptions.
    not much usefull info. Yes I get it if I pay the full cloud. But what if I pay one program = (Adobe Muse is in Creative Cloud subscription). Please respond. Is it possible or not? I want a simple answer in one sentence. :-)
