Does IE-11 send preflight OPTIONS request in case of CORS ?

Hi,
I am seeing preflight OPTIONS request is not being sent from IE-11 browser while doing a
cross domain non-simple call. First request sent is handshake request only. What are the cases when IE-11 does and does not send preflight OPTIONS request ?

As the link said ,there are two different ways :
simple CORS requests and preflight CORS requests. Apart from this ,there is a feature called preflight cache mentioned . It can be used to reduce the request. Here is another link for reference:

Palm Desktop 6.2.2 / Edit menu does not have Send To option (MS Vista Premium SP1 32 bit with MS Office 2007)

I have a Palm Zire 31 and had been running the Palm Desktop 4.1.4 on a Windows XP Home SP3 computer for years.
I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista Premium SP1 (32 bit) and installed the Palm Desktop 4.1.4. Everything seemed to work fine (including the Edit -> Send To Word, which is MS Office 2007 Word) until I tried to install software on my Zire with Quick Install. That is when I found out that I needed to upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.2.2.
I downloaded and installed Palm Desktop 6.2.2. There are a few glitches that I need to address. But the most important one to me is that the Send To command does not appear in the Edit menu (it should, according to the Palm Desktop help.)
Does anyone know how I can get that feature (Send To Word) to work (short of reinstalling MS Office)?

Hello Stan and welcome to the Palm forums.
Palm Desktop 6.x was developed by ACCESS, the company that owns the source code to the Palm OS, Palm Desktop, and HotSync Manager. When they released Palm Desktop 6.x, some of the features of the older Palm Desktop 4.x where not included. I don't have Office 2007 installed on my computer, but the Send To comand could be one of those features that didn't make the jump from Palm Desktop 4.x to 6.x

Block HTTP Options request in DBMS_EPG

We are having some trouble opening HTML pages from Office tools in combination with the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway on a Oracle 11g database.
When we open a public Apex page from word or Excel it will prompt for XDB username / password.
We open the page like this: http://epg-host:8080/apex/f?p=111:1
When we open the same page from the same Apex application using the Oracle HTTP Server instead of the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway, Word and Excel won't prompt for a username and password.
I used Wireshark to see the difference in HTTP traffic. Microsoft Office will do a HTTP Options request on the "directory" of the page (for the url http://epg-host:8080/apex) before opening the page. The HTTP Options request results Error 401 Unauthorized, that’s why Word/Excel ask the user to login.
With a HTTP Send Tool I have send the Options Request to the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway and to the Oracle HTTP Server, these are the different responses:

</body></html>I do not really understand why the Options Request results in Unauthorized. I would like to change the behavior of the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway so that it does not throw the "Unauthorized" error. Any other error would be good, but Unauthorized results in a Login prompt.
Does anyone know how to configure the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway so it will not result in the unauthorized error? It doesn’t matter if I have to block the Options requests or grant extra authorization.

Thanks for your reply. When we open the page in the browser we do not get the Login-prompt, the allow-repository-anonymous-access is already set to true.
The login-prompt only occurs when we open the page from Word/Excel, that's when the HTTP-Options request is send.
Opening an Apex page in the browser only results in a HTTP-Get request, Word/Excel will send HTTP-Options followed by the HTTP-Get request.

When right clicking to send a link , the` send link` option does not appear as n option on the menu list.

the ``send link`` option just disappeared..It happened immediately after an automatic update to firefox when my computer has to be restarted about a month ago.

Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.

This is my boilerplate response when app downloads are stalled or in the "waiting" mode. There are a bunch of things here to try.
Tap on the "installing" icon and see if you can pause the install, then tap on it again in order to resume the install.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download and install at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and see if the install resumes.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

There are 2 ways while dealing with a webservice (same with any other adapters)
a. Webservice at the sender side.
b. Calling (invoking) the serivce of an existing webservice.
If you want to create a scenario as in option <b>a</b>
In this case, the sender is not actually a webservice, rather it is a client (webservice client) that invokes the webservice. The actual webservice in this case is your XI server. But again XI server is not a webservice. All XI does is understands the webservice client request and converts it to a XI message and does the operation.
If you wish to do such a scenario, there are guides available in SDN, (How to expose your outbund interface as webservice, How to Soap Adapters). Follow them.

Following is something about which I want to enquire:
The request messages from a mobile device in one synchronization cycle include:
● Upload messages for all the objects created, modified, or deleted on the device since the last synchronization.
● Download request messages for all the SyncBOs included in the mobile application on the device.
On the client, you can deactivate the sending of download requests if it is inappropriate to send them in every synchronization cycle. For applications, this option is available through the API. Alternatively, the user can suppress the download by making the appropriate setting in the user interface of the SAP MI Client component.
I would like to know what is the process of achieving what I have marked in bold. What is that 'Appropriate Setting'?

Here are the answers to your queries
Are the download requests not sent to the middleware from the client?
No it is not download request but download data meaning all the data that has to be downloaded to the client from the server is suppressed.
Without the download request - Does the delta determination still happens for the next Sync and the Outbound worklist is filled with the neccessary data?
Yes all these functionalities are not affected by suppressing download. These processes will still happen
If there is no data to be uploaded, Will the conflict handling still try to find the conflicts between the current state of data in mobile and current data in backend?
Conflicts can never occur unless the same data is modified both on the client and the server and this will detected only during sync. If there is data to be uploaded, then there is no question of conflicts happening
If there is no data to be uploaded, what messages are exchanged between the client and the middleware?
There are some some framework related data which will always be exchanged.

Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

I am sending a SOAP request from a SOAP client SOAP UI with a binary attachment ( image file as an attachment ) and creating a file on the receiver side with attachment.
But how do i see this attachment in XI and do i have to specify some additional configuration in my receiver or sender adapter modules.

I open PDF, i try to save as PDF/A or PDF/X, then a message appears:
The document has been saved, however, it could not be converted according to the selected standard profile: Convert to PDF/X. Please use Preflight with the profile "Convert to PDF/X" in order to identify those properties of the document which prevent it from being compilant to this profile.
Soo I guess we are one of those ten of thousands users that this just does not work.
I would also like to use this posting reply as a chance to ask is there I way we could automate the procedure after we find out why saving in PDF/A format is not working? As a some kind of batch tool procedure, where you would select all the PDF files and convert them to PDF/A ?

The "send link" option on File has stopped functioning - what do I do?

- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Messages app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the app
