Does javafx support active-x?
Hi,
I want to open a web page, which includes active-x object, with JavaFx. Following the given codes: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/webview/jfxpub-webview.htm; I can connect the webpage, see all object except the active-x object. Is there any way to display active-x object with javafx html browser?

Does JavaFX support loading JPEG 2000 (jp2) format files?
I have a JPEG 2000 format file. Is it possible to load the image in ImageView?
As long as the codec is in the classpath, JavaFX is able to load any kind of image. You can search a Jpeg 2000 codec, I think there is one at least in the JAI-ImageIO package.
For example, I tried to load a Tiff image the usual way (Image with url field, ImageView using this image): it won't work out of the box, but if I run it with:
javafx -cp bin;C:\Java\libraries\JAI-ImageIO-1.1\jai_imageio.jar DisplayTiffImage
it works fine.
I also tested with some JP2 images found here and there and it was OK for most of them. -

A friend has an iPhone 4s and he can split the keyboard on it, but it doesn't work on my 4s. I'm not sure why, unless it's because his 4s is newer than mine.

I run a studio here in Atlanta. YEster day morning I called an Apple store to see if I could buy a copy of Mavericks. They forwarded me to Apple Care. Apple Care tech and myself could not find Mavericks anywhere on the app store. Avid does not support Yosemiteam yet, so I had no other choice but to purchase Mountain Lion. It has been over 24 hours waI ting on Apple to "ship" / email me a code to download from the app store. I read a lot of horror stories from when they rolled out Mountain Lion in 2012 about it taking 72 hours to receive the codes. I hope that maybe it doesn't take that l9ng this time because I am losing money by the minute. Microsoft would have had a code to me in minutes. This is just crazy. I have used Apple products for years, but this is very disappointing. Anyone else ordered Mountain Lion recently? How long dI'd it take Apple to "ship" you your code via email? Thanks
From what I've read on these forums over the past few months, it hasn't gotten any better. An electronic order from any company shouldn't take more than 12 hours for a system to respond to, but people have been waiting up to a week for their redemption code email to arrive. It makes no sense to me why it would take that long.

In Oracle Database 10g and below you could open the physical standby database for read-only activities (say, to offload some reporting), but only after stopping the recovery process. With these releases, If Data Guard is a part of your DR solution, you really can't afford to pause the recovery process for a long duration for fear of falling behind, so the physical standby database is essentially useless for any read-only activity.
With Oracle Database 11g, that situation changes: You can open the physical standby database in read-only mode and restart the recovery process. This means you can continue to be in sync with primary but can use the standby for reporting. (As in previous versions, you can take the backup from the standby as well.)

Strange IE ExternalInterface Bug: "Object does not support this property or method"
We have an application on a relatively slow server (I mention
the speed because it may be relevant).
The app is flash 8 and uses ExternalInterface to call a
javascript function in its parent page. It also used the
ExternalInterface to receive a call from another function. These
calls happens separately (the outbound one calls up a list view of
items, clicking on an item calls up the details in the flash
movie). In between the calls, the flash movie is hidden by moving
it off screen using absolute positioning.
On my local development box (Windows XPSP2) this works fine
in both directions.
On our production server (LAMP) this works fine in both
directions in Firefox 1.5 and 2.0
BUT while the outbound call from Flash to the page works fine
in Internet Explorer 6 or 7, the call back from the page to the
flash movie fails with the error messgage "Object does not support
this method or property"
We've tried not hiding the flash so it is always present on
the page and still the browser > flash communication breaks in
ie.
We've tried using both the Adobe active content script and
swfobject to embed the flash in the page with no difference in the
resultset. In truth we've given up and gone to a two-page solution,
reloading the flash from the start each time but I wondered if
anyone had encountered a similar issue? Can't see why it would work
perfectly in FF but not in IE.Not sure if this is your problem, but you do reference the
Flash object
differently, depending on the browser. In a video player we
made, that uses
JS to communicate back to Flash, I use a function like this
to modify the
variable depending on the browser:

We recently had a major deployement, after which Explorer View started giving error message.
Before deployement, all was working fine.

Webclient service is already enabled.
The site has been added to trusted site lists.
All Active-x controls have been enabled.
Browser: Internet Explorer 8 - 32 bit.
Microsoft Office 32 bit is also installed.
Thanx in advance.You could try updating the following registry key on a client PC as a test: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Paramenters\AuthForwardServerList to include the URL of your sharpoint site. Add the root site and it might enable this functionality.

Tuxera Version That Comes with HDTC705XK3A1 Does Not Support on Install on MAC OSX 10.9.2
The Tuxera version pre-installed (2012.3.6) on my hard drive does not support Mac OS X 10.9.2
I first looked at the support site and it says there isn't any updates for drivers & software for the Toshiba 500GB Canvio Connect Portable Hard Drive (HDTC705XK3A).
I am on OSX 10.9.2 and would like a working copy of Tuxera to use with my new Toshiba drive. Please advise where I get the updated version. Going to Tuxera requires buying a copy of the software.

DougI have the same problem after an upgrade to my iMac. Fortunitely, a wWindows machine will read your drive. I also have a new Macbook Pro with 10.9.3 on it and it loaded Tuxera correctly. Not sure why it works on one not the other. I wnet through the following steps:
After I upgraded my iMAC to Maverics, I could not see my NTFS drives in finder or on the desktop. I could see my NTFS drives in Disk Utility but they were grayed out and are not accessible. I could boot the iMac in Windows and have access to all of my NTFS drives.
I tried reinstalling the latest version, 2013.2, downloaded from your web page. I can see my NTFS drives but could not write to them. I then got the following message when the system started up, "invalid product key". When I opened Tuxera from the system preferences page I get the following message on the Activation page, "Current status: Invalid product key. Limited performance mode." I have tried reloading Texura from the Toshiba drive, but the process doesn't complete the last step.
As a last step, I uninstalled Tuxera and can not reinstall it. I get the message "The Tuxera NTFS for Mac installer could not detect your Toshiba External HDD. Please attach it to your Mac and run the installer again. I'm running the installer from the Toshiba drive so the installer should detect it.
Please note, I have a new Macbook Pro that came with Mavericks and I loaded Tuxera from the same Toshiba drive. It has no problems writing to it. The upgrade to Mavericks caused the problem. -

Have you asked your mobile phone operator to turn on roaming for you? and if you have you will need to turn on DATA ROAMING on the iPhone by going to SETTINGS > GENERAL > MOBILE DATA and turn on DATA ROAMING. You should then be able to see the various Indian Networks listed in SETTINGS > CARRIER and be able to make/receive calls.
If you are in India and didn't ask for Roaming to be activated on your mobile account you're stuck until you return to the UK.
OR
If you have a 'locked' phone that is tied to the UK operator then you will need to find a phone shop that unlocks iPhones but beware this invalidates any Apple Warranty. If you are still in the UK then phone the mobile operator and ask then to unlock your iPhone which they usually do if its not in a contract with them or at the end of the contract period.

Why memory card files sent through PC suite cannot...
Any files I transferred onto the memory card through PC Suite and USB cable does not show up when I plug the memory card into my computer's card reader. The same happens vise versa. Why is that? Solved! Go to Solution.
