Does jdk works on pentium 4?

iuse jdk1.2.1 install on a win98 powered by pentium,after install,when i want to run jdk a error message show"illegal operation..window need to be shut down.. how ican fix it?

Get a patched version of the JDK from Sun.
Old JVMs that included the Symantec JIT fail on Pentium 4's because of an illegal instruction that they emit that is ignored on PIIIs, but is not ignored (and raises an exception) on P4s.

    Works for me with the latest IBM JDK. You will need to specify your context i.e. what platform, what JDK/JRE etc etc etc.
    P.S. That exception handling is rubbish.

    I suspect that you are using JDK 1.5 and that you have fallen foul of the bug where key.getAlgorithm() does net return the correct value. You get round this by specifying it as             SecretKey key = SecretKeyFactory.getInstance("PBEWithMD5AndDES").generateSecret(keySpec);
                ecipher = Cipher.getInstance("PBEWithMD5AndDES");Of course if you are clever you will just define a static final constant for this algorithm.

  • ISQLPLUS does not works after downgrading JDK.

    Hi,
    I am not sure if ISQLPLUS has anything to do with downgrading JDK. To my understand apache has its own classpath set. I have properly configure ISQLPLUS last week and no issues at all. This week, I am trying to downgrade my JDK (Sun) from 1.3.1 to 1.2.2. Soon after that i cannot access to my ISQLPLUS at all. It says FIle not found: Error 404. I haven't change any of my conf file, and apache start properly as well.
    I have a few JDK version on my machine at this point of time. 1.2.2 (IBM), 1.3.1(Sun), and 1.3.2 (Sun) . I am using them for different projects. And I believed Apache has its own version as well (1.7.1 ??).
    Any hints what am I getting Error 404?
    Thanks
    -KL

    What do you mean by "restoring definitions"?
    What EXACTLY is your problem?
    "does not works" is just a bit vague.

  • Copy/Paste worked in JDK 1.4 and does not work more for Java 1.4.1_01

    Hi all,
    in JDK 1.4.0 we can use the copy/paste between the java applets and other windows applications but in JDK 1.4.1_01 it does not work more!!!
    there is a simple JApplet code:
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class JApplet1 extends JApplet
         public void init()
              getRootPane().putClientProperty("defeatSystemEventQueueCheck", Boolean.TRUE);
              getContentPane().setLayout(null);
              setSize(426,266);
              getContentPane().add(JTextField1);
              JTextField1.setBounds(72,72,283,64);
         javax.swing.JTextField JTextField1 = new javax.swing.JTextField();
    and the start html page the the Japplet
    <HTML>

    <TITLE>Autogenerated HTML</TITLE>
    </HEAD>

    </OBJECT>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    Any ideas?
    Best regards

    Hi,
    I have found out the cause for the issue: before you install 1.4.1_01.exe you must deinstall all JRE's on your computer (1.3.XX, 1.4.0.XX) than works that well the Copy/Paste.
    that is confusingly because we don't have to make that in JRE 1.4.0.
    Best regards

  • JDK 1.6_07 with Windows: System.out.flush() does not work...

    I wonder if this is a known issue: Since I upgrade the jdk1.6 version to the _07 pack, text IO does not work anymore with WinXP cmd.exe window. Assuming a static import of System.out, I use:
    static void prompt()
      out.print(pr); //pr is a prompt string...
      out.flush();
    }works as usual with Unix/Linux, but with windows nothing will be written to the terminal, until I make at least one input. In that case a barrage of cached prompts appear all at once.
    Do we have a bug for it, can we work around somehow?
    Thomas

    Since this code works correctly in Java 6u10 on Windows XP
    System.out.print("This is the data");
    System.out.flush();You are apparently doing something unusual or wrong. What is "out"?

  • Show AppXray dependencies does not work for all projects

    I have three projects. One of them will display the appxray dependncies and the other two will not. When I select show dependencies, nothing happens. There is no logging inside the workshop m7.log.0 but the .log has the following. How do I get this to work?
    Config details follow logging.

  • LD_ASSUME_KERNEL does not work in recent distros. How to avoid?

    LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.XX does not work in all recent distros.
    $ export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.20
    $ ls
    ls: error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1: cannot open shared object
    EBS contains very old cmponents like MWA wich not compiled without this setting. How to avoid errors?

    You can unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and EBS 11i (11.5.9 and 11.5.10) will work fine on 2.6.16 kernels (SLES-10 and RH 5.0).
    The following instructions should get you going:
    1) Setup the environment as you would for running Applications on RH 4 or SLES9
    I.E. follow Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2)
    http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=316806.1
    2) Remove any LD_ASSUME_KERNEL references in O/S /etc/profile.d files
    3) Comment out LD_ASSUME_KERNEL entries in $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adgetlnxver.sh and $AD_TOP/bin/adgetlnxver.sh
    if [ ${setflag}x = "x" -a $os = "Suse" ]; then
    # LD_ASSUME_KERNEL="2.4.21"
    # export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
         os="Suse"
    fi
    if [ ${setflag}x = "x" -a $os = "RH" ]; then
    # LD_ASSUME_KERNEL="2.4.19"
    # export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
         os = "RH"
    fi
    If doing a rapid install, the database startup will fail and rapidwiz will prompt to ignore or retry. At this point, edit $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adgetlnxver.sh as shown above and click on retry. It will then run to the autoconfig step at the end and error out. Just hit cancel, edit $AD_TOP/bin/adgetlnxver.sh and run autoconfig.
    On Suse, one needs compat-gdbm for libgdbm.so.2
    rpm -Uhv compat-gdbm-1.8.0-7.i586.rpm
    Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
    1:compat-gdbm ########################################### [100%]
    Also in /usr/lib run ln -s libdb.so.2 libdb.so.3
    Ref:
    Note:300807.1 for Suse
    create symbolic link called libdb.so.2 pointing to libdb.so.3, as follows:
    $ cd /usr/lib
    $ ln -s libdb.so.3 libdb.so.2 (or install db1-1.85-85.1 which does the same)
    Note:294043.1 for Red Hat
    As per an internal Bug 4045349, this is an issue with O/S side installation of compat-db rpm.
    libdb.so.3 gets installed when compat-db rpm is installed.
    - The O/S installation CD would contain compat-db
    e.g compat-db-4.1.25-6.i386.rpm ( may change as per your version ).
    - Manually install the compat-db rpm
    e..g "rpm -ivh compat-db-4.1.25-6.i386.rpm"
    OR
    Note:345172.1
    A library is missing: libdb.so.2 is from gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-34.1.i386.
    This error also occurs in SLES9, same cause, slightly different resolution. SLES9 comes with libdb.so.3 and libdb.so.4 but not libdb.so.2 - need to install db1-1.85-85.1 to get libdb.so.2.
    4) In order to relink cplex library executables (MSC, MSO, MSR, MST, WIP, etc), edit $AD_TOP/bin/adrelinknew.sh and add the following LD option (-Wl,--noinhibit-exec) in the LINUX section:
    LINUX)
    LDFLAGS='-s -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -ldl'
    DEBUG_LDFLAGS='-g -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -ldl'
    exe_line='ELF .*executable'
    SHRLIB_LD='gcc'
    LD='gcc'
    SHRLIB_LDFLAGS='-L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -shared'
    if test -f "/etc/redhat-release"; then
         CPP_LIBS='/usr/lib/libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so'
    elif test -f "/etc/SuSE-release"; then
         CPP_LIBS='/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.9'
    else
    CPP_LIBS=''
    fi
    CPP='g++'
    CPP_LDFLAGS='-s -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs
    set CPP_LDFLAGS='-s -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs
    to CPP_LDFLAGS='-s -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -Wl,--noinhibit-exec'
    After this chance, you can apply any MRP, ASCP patch and all executables will relink correctly. You can also use adadmin to relink all executables and it completes without error.
    5) Discoverer 4.1.38.08 Follow Metalink Note 280598.1 Discoverer 4i On Linux: Required Patch and Configuration for Discoverer Server Stability to use JDK 1.3.1 and oadj. I updated the autoconfig template files with this change after applying 3895177. Discoverer viewer and plus standard BIS reports all open correctly on SLES-10

  • Scrollwheel does not work in Topic Window

    I have installed Oracle Help for Java 4.2.7. When I open a helpset in the Help Previewer, I notice that the scrollwheel does work in the Help Navigator window, but does not work in the Help Topic window. Is this a bug or is there something I can do so that the scrollwheel works in both the Help Navigator and Help Topic windows?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marc Norman

    Hi Marc,
    What JRE/JDK are you using when you run the previewer? When I install OHJ 4.2.7, and run it using Sun JDK 1.4.2 on Windows XP the scroll wheel works for me in both the help navigator window and the help topic window.
    If it doesn't work for you, please provide me with some more details about your environment, so I can track the issue down.
    Also, I apologize for the lengthy delay between your post and when it appeared in our forum. We had some issues with the forum moderation, that we hopefully have worked out.

  • SQL DEVELOPER cut and paste does not work, slow and cannot work fast.

    I have lots of difficulties using SQL Developer, the cut/paste does not work properly, when I type search in he code editor it just paste or type the test in the source code not in the serach box. Very hectic I'm pallning to swicth to TOAD until they a a good version.

    Hello Aukhez,
    I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with SQLDeveloper - personally, I've never had any problems with cut/copy/paste and searching, and I've been using SQLDeveloper from v1.0 to the current version, on practically every version of the JDK from 1.5-1.6u16 on both Windows and Linux.
    Sorry to state the obvious, but perhaps if you could provide a bit more specific information - such as platform, version, etc - and details of what you tried to do, someone here might be able to help...? Regarding speed, there are quite a few things you can do to make this better, but again, without knowing your setup, it's hard to give you proper directions. Plus, you'll find numerous threads here and on google about what you can do to improve speed.

  • Database metadata - does it work in Oracle ?

    I have logged previous entries regarding this subject all to no avail.
    I am using Oracle 8.1.6, and the JDK 1.2 thin drivers.
    I am attempting to read the metadata from the database for the user tables, however I keep getting SYSTEM tables as well.
    I have been using the databasemetadata.getTables method with one of the parameters set to {"TABLE"}, this retrieves ALL tables including system tables.
    When I try this with {"SYSTEM TABLE"} it returns NO entries at all. At least if this were to work, I could use the results to prune out the list I get back from the earlier call.
    Is it not possible in Oracle (via the Oracle JDBC drivers) to get a list of user tables as opposed to system tables?
    Both of these operations (i.e. USER versus SYSTEM) work perfectly in Sybase and SQL-Server, so I don't understand why it doesn't work in Oracle.
    The Oracle JavaDoc for these methods actually refers to these specific values as well, suggesting that it should work - has anyone had any success with this ?
    null

    Please explain it does not work in APEX? Is the application updating tables that have a trigger? APEX does NOT override trigger actions. Is it possible the values your trigger is looking for are NOT available in your APEX application? Can you post the trigger code here for review?
    Thank you,

  • Jakarta Commons -- File Upload does not work with Application Server

    Hi ALl,
    I tried Jakarta Commons file upload. In the netbeans, I copied the common jar files "commons-io-1.2.jar" and "commons-fileupload-1.1.1.jar" in the
    netbeans-5.5\enterprise3\apache-tomcat-5.5.17\common\lib and set the class paths. It is working correctly when I compile and run from the netbeans. However, when I deployed in Sun Application Server PE 9.0, I am receiving the following errors. In Sun application I copied the above jars files to "C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk\jre\lib\ext"..
    I have read in several postings that it does not work this way but could find any solution. Any idea will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi All,
    I solved this few minutes after I posted this question. Thought I should share with everybody, just in case some one else need it.
    I copied these three files in the folder C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk\jre\lib\ext
    1. servelet-api.jar
    2. commons-io-1.2.jar
    3. commons-fileupload-1.1.1.jar
    No need to set any class path.
    Thanks

  • Error: ELM does not work from UI

    Hello guru´s,
    hard to explain this briefly, but here it goes.
    We´re trying to upload an ELM from UI, and it doesn´t work. But the thing is, if you just SAVE from UI (not launch), and then you go to CRMD_MKTLIST and you flag required fields, it works. But obviously, we need to do that from UI.
    Besides this, we´ve implemented a Badi CRM_MKTLIST_BADI for a specific format but it´s never called from UI; however, if we simulate the execution from SAP GUI, this BADI works correctly.
    Thanks in advance.

    SunSudio Express (December 2006 release) introduces some
    interesting new features, but there are still problems. For the first time,
    I was able to debug Fortran 90 applications in Linux, but debugging is
    still very limited. This is good to know that you were able to debug a f90 application
    on Linux. What problems do you see? Please, report them, and we
    will file them as bugs or RFEs (requests for enhancements).
    Furthermore, the Fortran error parser does not work, even when
    compiling using Sun's f95 compiler. Yes, you are right, this feature does not work yet.
    This is a heavy disadvantage. I assume that Fortran error parsing
    is not supported on Linux, although the tutorials don't make this
    point clear: Yes, it does not work yet on all platforms.
    In the Options window, there are settings concerning C/C++ (and
    its parser), but there are no similar options for the Fortran parser,
    even in "Advanced Settings" (which are similar to the old Options
    window). There will be similar options for Fortran.
    My Linux system is Debian 3.1 (Sarge), with JDK 1.5.0.09.JDK 1.5.0.09 is ok.
    We do not target Debian system, but we assume everything
    should work there (we test on Red Hat and SUSE).
    Good to know that our assumption is correct :-)
    I don't think that I'm doing something wrong, but I want to ask, just
    to be sure: has someone had seen the Fortran error parser working
    on Linux? No. It does not work on Linux, and it does not work on other platforms.
    What about Fortran word completion? No, this feature is not implemented yet.
    Thanks you for trying Sun Studio 12 Express release and for your report.

  • Set CLASSPATH does not work, how do I run java.exe?

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem running the java.exe and I'm using Win XP. Here is my problem:
    Under the command prompt, I set the path: path = C:\Program Files\Java 2\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin
    Then I created a folder in E:\Hello. I save my Hello.java in that folder, and I compiled it:
    javac Hello.java
    Now, there is a Hello.class created in that folder.
    Then I try to run it: java Hello
    but I got an error: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hello"
    So, I try to set CLASSPATH, however, the problem remains, no matter how hard I try.
    Any ideas?

    None of the suggestion worked, I wonder why???
    Here is my location for the JDK:
    C:\Program Files\Java 2\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin
    Here is my location for my Java project file:
    E:\JavaProject\Hello
    Here is the file name:
    Hello.java
    Here is the command prompt:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Alex Ngai> e:
    E:\> cd JavaProject
    E:\JavaProject> cd Hello
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> path = C:\Program Files\Java
    2\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> javac Hello.java
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> java Hello
    Exception in thread "main"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hello
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> java -cp Hello
    // Does not work, it lists all of the options for java
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> set CLASSPATH =
    E:\JavaProject\Hello
    CLASSPATH="C:\Program
    Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_04\lib\ext\QTJava.zip"
    E:\JavaProject\Hello> java Hello
    Exception in thread "main"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hello
    // I have tried a lot more, none of them won't work!!
    Now what should I try in the following command prompt?
    E:\JavaProject\Hello>Given the above there is only one possible explaination.
    You have a file named "Hello.java".
    In that file you have a non-public class which is NOT named "Hello". Instead it is named something like "HelloWorld" or even "hello" (case matters.)

  • Validation of existing certificate does not work since release 9.3.3

    Hi everyone,
    Since I updated to Adobe Reader 9.3.3 the validation of digital signatures does not work properly anymore. Though I try to validate the certificate that used to be OK before the upgrade to 9.3.3 I now get an error on the same document and signature that used to work before. In the signature details Adobe Reader now states that "The certificate ...is not trusted...". This has to do with the new Adobe Approved Trusted list (AATL) I assume since nothing else changed.
    Does anybody know a workaround or is anybody aware of a bugfix that will be released in the near future?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike G

    Works for me.
    What OS/JDK etc are you using?

  • Does ServiceToService works well... ???

    Hi all,
    I got a problem with my S2S connection. When I run the S2S connection from my machine it works perfectly and I succeed to do everything I want in ContentDB. When I deploy the service S2S the problems are coming out. It seems like the Session is not connected.
    I also tried to put the service S2S in .jar to be used by others web services but it did not work. The same message is coming out again !!!
    Here is the error message :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://laconnexiontest/types/"><env:Body><env:Fault><faultcode>env:Server</faultcode><faultstring>Internal Server Error (Caught exception while handling request: ORACLE.FDK.SessionError:ORACLE.FDK.SessionNotConnected)</faultstring></env:Fault></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    I dont see why it works on my machine but I does not work when I put it in .jar or when I deploy it. I dont understand what is the problem. Can someone help me with that ?
    I have been using the fallowing example : S2S connection from Oracle ContentDB API.
    Tx in advance to help me !!!

    Hi Pat,
    I just created a simple servlet that utilizes service to service authentication and deployed it to IAS 10.1.2 and it worked perfectly.
    Maybe you could try the following code out :-
    index.html :-
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

    Things that may be causing you grief :-
    JDK version - the devkit was developed using Sun's j2sdk1.4.2
    Library/Class conflicts - the classloader may be referencing outdated or newer libraries than those shipped with the CDB devkit.
    Are you trying to serialize/store ManagersFactory?
    Anyway, I can confirm that S2S works perfectly from a servlet based on Servlet 2.3 spec running from J2EE 1.3.
    The next thing I would probably try is a packet capture to see what SOAP (and HTTP) packets are being exchanged.
    thanks
    Matt.
