Does product service plan cover the same as AppleCare does?

Hello, I purchased a new Macbook Pro 13' about a month back in September, while purchasing I also purchased what I was told was AppleCare. I never recieved a box for the AppleCare therefore when I was trying to register it online I was having difficulty because I didn't have a registration number. I just phoned AppleCare support line, and emailed them a picture of my receipt. It turns out the man didn't sell me AppleCare he sold me a product service plan done through the Apple Certified Reseller where I bought my Macbook; which is Future Shop. I was wondering if all the coverage I recieve through this product service plan will be the same as if I had bought the AppleCare.
Additional INformation
-I paid 299 for the PSP

You got what you bought not what you thought. You should be discussing this with Future Shop as they're the one's issuing the coverage. You are covered by Apple for 1 year. You need to find out what happens after that year.

As this is a WW forum with different AppleCrare offerings you need to specify which Country
as in North America has AppleCare+ and everywhere else AppleCare ,very different products
So to avoid incorrect guidance suggest you specify Country

  • Service Registry: Publish the same service for two different business syst.

    Hello all,
i am trying to publish a webservice in the Service Registry of a PI 7.1 EHP1 and i'm facing a problem. I have configured two Business Systems that use the same Service Interface, let's say Dev and Qua systems. So, this two business systems can be senders of the webservice. I have been able to publish the first Sender Agreement properly, but when i try to publish the second Sender Agreement as the service is already publish i get the following error:
One service definition with the same name 'SI_I015_EneGISDeviceLocationServicesInternalMessage_In(urn:enemalta.com.mt:iubs:integrations)' found; do you want to delete this object from the Services Registry and continue publishing?
I've been told that this error might be a permission problem but the user i am using has all the permissions required. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Roger Allué i Vall

    Hi Roger,
Is that problem solved for you?
I am looking for inputs on a similar issue here. I need to have a single service but with two different endpoints (for two sender business systems) published in SR.
    Thanks,

    Dear experts,
awrsqrpt.sql is showing multiple executions plans for a single SQL statement. How is it possible that one SQL statement will have multiple Executions Plans within the same AWR report. If you're using bind variables and you've histograms on your columns which can be created by default in 10g due to the "SIZE AUTO" default "method_opt" parameter of DBMS_STATS.GATHER__STATS it is quite normal that you get different execution plans for the same SQL statement. Depending on the values passed when the statement is hard parsed (this feature is called "bind variable peeking" and enabled by default since 9i) an execution plan is determined and re-used for all further executions of the same "shared" SQL statement.
If now your statement ages out of the shared pool or is invalidated due to some DDL or statistics gathering activity it will be re-parsed and again the values passed in that particular moment will determine the execution plan. If you have skewed data distribution and a histogram in place that reflects that skewness you might get different execution plans depending on the actual values used.
Since this "flip-flop" behaviour can sometimes be counter-productive if you're unlucky and the values used to hard parse the statement leading to a plan that is unsuitable for the majority of values used afterwards, 11g introduced the "adaptive" cursor sharing that attempts to detect such a situation and can automatically re-evaluate the execution plan of the statement.

  • Business Rules- Two Decision Services (.decs) on the same composite

    Hello.
I have a composite where i designed a rules dictionary (.rules) and created a decision services metadata(.decs). This decision service declares the corresponding decision function for which it was created a .WSDL for invocation via web service. The decision function receives an object called 'document' with name space '..../document'.
I can invoke the decision service via soapUI and receive the expected results.
Then I created another rules dictionary (.rules) and other decision services metadata(.decs). This decision service declares another decision function for which it was created another .WSDL for invocation via web service. The decision function receives an object called 'notificationDecisionFact' with name space '..../notificationDecision'. The notification decision is an xml element composed of other types like 'document', 'workTask', among others.
When i tested the first decision service again (the one previosly working) i obtain an error saying something like:
    unexpected element <{.../document} document>. The expected elements were <{.../workTask} workTask>,<{.../workTaskRequest} workTaskRequest>
But when i came to jdeveloper and disable the option 'invoke as a webservice' on the second decision function (eliminating the corresponding WSDL) the first decision service comes back to normal functioning.
I don't have any ideia why the service/work memory/BR engine is expecting that elements when i have two WSDL from different rules dictionary. The xml facts for both dictonary were constructed from the same set os XSD, but the WSDL seems to appear correct with the properly element types and namespaces.
Is there any issues regarding with two cecision services (.decs) on the same composite?
Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
    Best Regards.

  • How do I update my VMM 2012 SP1 Guest Services to be the same as the Hosts?

    VMM 2012 SP1 and Server 2012 Hyper-V Cluster
How do I update my VMM Guest Services to be the same as the Hosts?
In VMM 2012 SP1 I right click on a VM and select “Install Virtual Guest Services” it installs as expected.
    Cluster validation reports this error:
The following virtual machines are running integration services that does not match the host computer. You must update the
integration services on the virtual machines or the host computer to the same version.
I am able to go to the VM on host and update the Guest Services using the hyper-v manager but I would like it to work in VMM.
The version on the ISOs on the host is.  6.2.9200.16433 and the version being installed by VMM is 6.2.9200.16383.
I am not sure where VMM gets the it’s guests services from.
Any idea on how I update VMM to match the host?
    Thanks,
    -Lee

I hope this does not have to be done from each VM in the cluster (hundreds for me in some clusters)?
I am stunned this cant be done in VMM!!
Validate your cluster????  I am hoping cluster validation is better/faster/less prone to time out storage during the storage tests in 2012?
Does Microsoft know how easy this is to do in VMware? (shift click all VM's, right click "Install/Upgrade VMware Tools)
    Thanks, -Lindy
I know right - I am really trying to be positive about this 'great stuff' that MS have brought us, but really - Going back to the Hosts to do each vm individually??? And saying you can do it in Powershell.....
I loved the days of DOS, I still use the concepts of it, but I thought we had (or that we were) evolving!!!!!

  • IPod Touch 1st Gen, Broken, with Product Service Plan. HELP, asap!

So, back in May 2008, I bought an 8GB iPod Touch.
Along with it, I bought a 5 year Product Service Plan.
Now, my iPod has had a lot of problems even after factory restoring.
I really want to get it fixed before I leave on a trip next month.
BUT, I'm unable to find the original receipt.
Is there a way that Best Buy has my receipt on file [a credit card was used] and verify that I was the original person who purchased the product?
    Thanks!

Yep. They can either look up the receipt by your CC# or you telephone number. Or you can wait and a community connector should be able to assist you.
If you like my post, or solution to your issue/question, go ahead and click on the little star by my name and/or accept the post as the Solution. It makes me happy.
I'm NOT an employee of Best Buy, or Geek Squad, though I did work as an Agent for a year 5 years ago. None of my posts are to be taken as the official stance that Best Buy will take on your situation. My advice is just that, advice.
Unfortunately, that's the bad luck of any electronic, there's going to be bad Apples... wait that's a horrible pun.

  • Define a Service Plan in the transaction "solution_manager"

    Dear community,
has anyone of you an idea how to configure the service plan in the SAP solution manager? I already tried to open the transaction "solution_manager" --> operations --> Delivery of SAP Services --> Service Plan
There I get the message: "Last service plan update [at SAP]: 00.00.0000 00:00:00; Last solution master data update [at SAP]: 17.04.2007 02:15:27"
So the data of my solition should be sent to SAP. But when I try to get the service plan from SAP by clicking the button: "Get current service plan from SAP" I only get the error message "There is no new service plan to be collected by S000XXXXXXX from destination SAP-OSS"
Has onyone an idea what I have got to do, to get the service plan from SAP?
Many thanks in advance and kind regards
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    - Service Plans are defined at SAP (in the SAP internal backend systems).
    - Service Plans are linked at SAP to the Solution Landscape (which you have successfully transferred to SAP, indicated by "Last solution master data update [at SAP]").
    - Service Plans are collected from SAP (triggered by your Solution Manager system). You will see the results.
Potential reasons, why no service plan can be collected for you:
    - used S-User is not assigned to the Solution Manager installation / customer number
    - no service (for example Technical Integration Check, Solution Management Assessment) is scheduled yor you.
    - your Solution Landscape has not be assigned to the Service Plan at SAP (in this case, contact the SAP Support, which is responsible handling service contracts).
    Best regards,
    Ruediger Stoecker

  • Different execution plans for the same sql

    Hi,
Im testing our new 10gR2 database on Linux and I can't understand why the same query use different plan.
    Here are the details.
    Table name: invoice_detail
    Records: About 10,670,900
    Columns:
    No
seq (the primary key is No+Seq). Each invoices contains +/- 10 invoice_details.
    category ( <- 10 different values )
    State ( <- 3 different values )
Basically, I have an index on the primary key and another index on Category + State.
    My request:
    select *
    from invoice_detail
where no=123456 <- Best index to use
    and state <> 'CANCEL'
    and category = 'INVOICE'
If i run this query from Toad or sql+, that's fine.
The same query (i'm watching it from EM) executed via Forms use the category+state index.
When I first import the database, the last thing I do is to run DBMS_STATS.GATHER_DATABASE_STATS.
At this point, Forms use the right index.
The day after (after the database has been analyzed with the predefined job via EM) Forms use the wrong index.
I re-analyzed everything with exec DBMS_STATS.GATHER_DATABASE_STATS but the problem is still there.
    Thanks in advance

    I'm already using bind variables.
I changed the "Estimated Percentage" to 100% in "Gather Optimizer Statistics Default Options" and now it seems to use the correct index. I'm stressed because I dont understand why it chooses different plan for the same sql.
Actually, my users test the migration 1 day after I load all the data (drop schema-create schema-load data-analyze database) and at this point everythings go fine. After the second analyze of the database, the DB choose the wrong indexes.
I really cannot migrate until I understand why it happens.
    Any ideas?
    TIA

If your CC was banned for fraudulent activity, you will need to use another CC. If the account was disabled, try changing the password to enable it at : https://appleid.apple.com
Otherwise, try contacting the iTunes store via : https://expresslane.apple.com , choosing iTunes and then iTunes store and from there selecting the topic as it pertains to your query.

  • CBO generating different plans for the same data in similar Environments

    Hi All
I have been trying to compare an SQL from 2 different but similar environments build of the same hardware specs .The issue I am facing is environment A, the query executes in less than 2 minutes with plan mostly showing full table scans and hash join whereas in environment B(problematic), it times out after 2 hours with an error of unable to extend table space . The statistics are up to date in both environments for both tables and indexes . System parameters are exactly similar(default oracle for except for multiblock_read_count ).
Both Environment have same db parameter for db_file_multiblock_read_count(16), optimizer(refer below),hash_area_size (131072),pga_aggregate_target(1G),db_block_size(8192) etc . SREADTIM, MREADTIM, CPUSPEED, MBRC are all null in aux_stats in both environment because workload was never collected i believe.
Attached is details about the SQL with table stats, SQL and index stats my main concern is CBO generating different plans for the similar data and statistics and same hardware and software specs. Is there any thing else I should consider .I generally see environment B being very slow and always plans tend to nested loops and index scan whereas what we really need is a sensible FTS in many cases. One of the very surprising thing is METER_CONFIG_HEADER below which has just 80 blocks of data is being asked for index scan.

    Hi Paul,
I misread your question initially .The system stats are outdated in both ( same result as seen from aux_stats) .I am not a DBA and do not have access to gather system stats fresh.

  • Windows 2012 R2 Active Directory Domain Services and Remote Desktop services Role on the same server.

    Findings:
Currently, Windows 2012 R2   AD DS role and RDS With Broker services can only seem to coexist properly in a new domain not an existing domain. Any attempt to add to an existing domain causes internal database user access denied issues and any attempt to
adjust rights and circumvent is dubious at best.
The escalation technician said it best. Out of 50 clients that want to do this, they end up not being able to help 5 right off the bat for whatever reason. As for the other 40 they might be able to help by running reports, adjusting rights and trying to add
the roles until it works.  This can end up being a 20 day process. Basically they are playing whack-a-mole with user rights and permissions until something sticks.
We tried creating an OU where any other domain policies would not be inherited to see if that was the issue, a fresh install with different sequence of adding the Roles, no effect.
Given the errors I witnessed when running procmon and then trying to add the roles, the NT System and the Windows Internal database user had access denied issues on 100+ registry keys when trying to add the roles. After that the system is not behaving normally.
The errors displayed almost mirror the errors that would occur on Windows 2012 when those two roles would be added which of course is officially NOT supported on that system.
    This blog needs serious revision:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2013/07/09/what-s-new-in-remote-desktop-services-for-windows-server-2012-r2.aspx
This is the excerpt from that blog: Single server RDS deployment including Active Directory. We now support running our RD Connection Broker role service on the same physical instance as an Active Directory Domain Controller.  In addition, we published
guidelines for how RD Session Host could be used without the RD Connection Broker.
Microsoft Support was curteous and helpful and they were the ones who advised cutting our losses, which mirrored my hunch after seeing what was transpiring in the system.  They refunded my money for the support call.
For me, it was an opportunity to find out if there was any way to configure Windows 2012 R2 in the Same manner that it was setup as Windows 2008 R2 and lay that to rest. The coexistence is poorly implemented. It is as if there was a reaction from all the deprecation
of bread and butter features such as shadowing in TS and the coexistence of AD DS and RDS to where those features were re-added haphazardly. (I have no complaints on shadowing on Windows 2012 R2 it works, just do not like having to go to server manager to
    use it).
I opted for virtualizing the Domain controller to eliminate the incompatibility issues and that is what I will be doing from now on. I found free solutions for backing up and reporting for virtual machines as well as the suggested procedures for configruing
a Domain controller as a virtual machine on a Hyper-V environment and I will be sticking to those. Thus far the setup has been operational.
I am not allergic to virtualization, but for really small setups it adds additional time and considerations but if that is how it has to be done, so be it. Windows 2008 R2 days are numbered and since we can usually squeeze 5-7 years on quality server equipment,
buying a Windows 2008 R2 setup now is a borderline disservice in my opinion.
Hopefully someone finds this useful and saves some time.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Do you need any other assistance?
Based on your description, you are describing your story of successfully implementing RDS server with AD role and more regarding all RDS related scenario. For shadowing feature, you can use with command also. Below is the syntax to shadow a session.
    mstsc /v:<ServerName> /shadow:<SessionID>
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.
