Does Safari now block multiple applets on a page?

After going through the process to re-enable Java in Safari, specifically the 1.7.0_67 JRE, Safari 6.0.5, on OS X 10.8.5, websites with 1 Java applet work fine. However, if the page has 2, the second applet won't launch. In the small test case below, the start of the second applet will actually cause the first one to stop working and both display as "Plug-in Failure" on the page. Before the second one starts, the first applet does display correctly. In the test page, setTimeout is used to launch the applets since if they are both just put into the html without javascript neither of them appear to actually start (though the java console will be opened and reports no errors or exceptions). Is this a known issue and is there a setting in Safari or Java that can be changed to fix this?

In case someone else runs into this, the problem was with the Java settings. The runtime parameters in the java control panel were set for debugging. By clearing the runtime parameters box and trying the test page again, both applets launch and display correctly.

When I close Safari now with multiple tabs, it does not warn me I have multiple tabs open. How do I turn it on?

Safari always warned me when I had multiple tabs open before it would close. Now it closes whenever I hit the red X (close out). When I was at the Apple store ithey indicated that that is how the latest Safari works, but it is supposed to open all the tabs that were open when it is relaunched. Mine appeared to do that when I was at the Apple store, but now it does not. When it opens now, it just opens my home screen with no tabs.
Can anyone shed light on this?

One change in Firefox 4 is to by default stop Firefox displaying the warning message, but it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

I was doing a Skype video call recently and I had a couple of people in the conversation. One of the people had his web cam on and everyone else had their web cams off. The person who had his on had some old plan or feature in place on his account that allowed for mulitple video chats in a call when Skype did not support that feature with newer accounts at the time. All of a sudden, I saw a message appear on the screen about being able to add multiple video chats to my Skype call for free. Has Skype really gone and added the capability of multiple video conferences during a call?

Why does Safari drop stylesheets after browsing a few pages?

I've got an intranet here at work and we're trying to figure out why Safari drops default.css when we browse around a few different pages.
Basically after a short while, it stops recognising our default.css and renders it all as if default.css didn't exist.
I have checked in the developer tools to confirm that it stopped using default.css so now I am truly stuck.
It only happens in Safari and not Chrome which suprised me. Does anyone know if bad HTML or validation will stop the css being rendered properly?

You can also be just low on RAM. As a general rule your system should have about 500MB or more of FREE RAM. To check to see how much your system has open Activity Monitor - System Memory Tab and look for the amount of free RAM. You can find AM in Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor. I don't want Safari 5.1 to open with the last page from the previous session. How do I stop it?

I too would like to manually or automatically open the windows and tabs I had open from the previous session, but I want to configure this per application. In a browser for instance, I can have many windows and tabs open and it can take a lot of time to refresh them all. I would like to manually pick the windows/tabs I want to reopen. Before Lion I could restore the last session manually and I liked that ability. Firefox has a plugin for this And what if I reboot with no internet access, they all time out. With a word processor, spreadsheet, or xcode on the other hand, I like to start where I left off. Everything comes from local disk so the restart is fast. I want to control this by app, not globally. Sometime Apple can really be blind to the real needs of users, and that is to configure their envoronment the way the user needs, not the way Apple envisions the need of users.
So Apple, please give ME the opportunity to choose the apps that auto reload the last sesion and give me a manual way to reload the last session on all apps that qualify.

Why does safari freeze when i swipe back a page with the trackpad?

since the new update some of my trackpad features have stopped working, the three finger swipe both up and across have stopped working as well as freezing safari when i swipe to go back a page! anyone else getting this problem?

1. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Click "Reset".
2. Empty Caches.
     Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Why does Safari still accept cookies, even when I put Block Cookies "Always",? There are always a list of every website with cookies. Is that just a record of what could've been accepted or its a bogus feature that still accepts regardless of what feature is on?

Apple has rolled over users since OS X 10.6.8 when this issue first appeared.
If you want a browser that actually CARES about it's users, then install Firefox, it's the only one that does.

I blocked quite a few different phone numbers awhile ago but when I looked at the blocked numbers today it looks like the same number has been blocked multiple times. Does anyone know why that is?

So for example if I blocked phone numbers 555-555-5555, 555-555-5556, and 555-555-5557 on different days it looks like only 555-555-5555 has been blocked 3 different times and I no longer see phone numbers 555-555-5556 or 555-555-5557. Does anyone know why?

Oh dear, one of those phantom disconnections. You know they are actually so common BT have a specialist department that deals with them. I think they are called Priority Back in Service, there is no actual phone number you can ring them on, you have to call 150 as normal and the customer service team are supposed to raise the issue with them to sort out.
You could contact that Mods but they sometimes take 3 days to reply, especially with it being the weekend.

Wht does safari combine multiple download into a zip file?

I downloaded a MKV file from my NAS remotely which worked fine, however when i try to combine multiple files Safari seems to automatically ZIP the files which means I cannot tell how long the download will take or how much data is left to transfer.
Anyone got any idea how to prevent Safari from putting multiple files into a zip?

I select multiple files from an online storage device, and select download. at this point for some reason when the download begins the files are combined into a zip file. when the download completes i then try to extract the zip file it often fails to extract.
If I select any one of the selceted files individually, Safari download begins, and the completed download is not in a zip file format and the file is readable.
I hope this makes sense to someone!
