Does the 5800 builtin browser not support cookies ...
I am used to use offline web applications using javascript (the URL starts with file:///.... . They work on *every* browser, under Windows, Linux, S60, etc. On many S60 devices but NOT on the 5800 Web browser.
Here a test:code which gives 'no cookies'on Web. When I put this file online, it does work normally. How can I enable cookies in local pages ?

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You need to be running iOS 2 or later in order to install Apps. Since you are only running iOS 1.x you likely have a 1G iPod Touch. See this article about purchasing the 3.1 update.

as the I-Photo is not supported by Video Clips ( Previous Leopard )

Hi just bought an iphone 4 today tried to activate the phone and it won't let me..I go through language ect and it says activateing iphone may take a few mins then just stops and message on screen says that the sim carrier is not supported and please use the sim which came with the phone(which i am..& have tried another sim and still not working)........It wont let me bypass have tried reseting phone and restarting it nothing helps????

Smart wi-fi browser not supported error by Linksys
Linksys seems to have created a doozy of an issue with this "browser not supported error" they keep displaying. Its as if head office is oblivious to this.
I am running IE 11 with all the updates applied and it gives the error. I downloaded firefox and it gives the same error. I downloaded Maxthon cloud browser most recent version and it does not work except when you log in with your cloud browser ID.
I have the latest version of Java 51 and cookies are enabled.
The strange thing about the Maxthon experience was when I logged out it continued to work. but when I went to another page and came back it stopped working.
There is something screwy in the linksys firmware here. they should have a bypass for this not so smart thing. Its really not worth the aggravation. Can anyone pinpoint where the issue is with this thing please?Have you tried this?
-start with a turned off/powered down router
-turn on your PC and clear your browser cache with the router OFF
-prior to powering up the router... remove the WAN internet cable connecting the router to the cable modem or DSL unit.
-power on the router
-navigate to the correct ip address (probably 192.168.1.1 if there were no other routers in your network)
-now attempt to log in using the ACCESS ROUTER panel
-from now on it- local login should display as the main log in window with the smart wifi option in a panel below instead of the reverse which was the factory default.
-reconnect your wan cable and use as always.
-now the expectation is that you will always be able to log in through the ACCESS ROUTER panel locally.

"The unit chosen is not supported."
I get the msg: "The unit chosen is not supported." (Adobe error message) when I attempt to retrieve a scanned image from the Xerox Scan Utility window that appears in Adobe Acrobat after I have scanned the document.
I can open MS Visio and retrieve that same image from Xerox Scan Utility window into Viso without any problem.
I used Adobe to initiate the scanning process by:
- opening Adobe Acrobat
- choosing "Create PDF"
- choosing "from scanner"
- choosing the Xerox WorkCenter scanner and responsing to the Select scanner option window
- choosing "Options": Native Mode (tried Memory Mode)
Show Scanner's Native Interface (tried Hide Scanner Native Interface in various combinations w/Native mode and Memory mode)
- choosing "Append" to existing PDF
- browsing and selecting the PDF
- choosing "Make searchable"
- choosing "Scan"
- selecting the scanner when prompted
The went to Xerox scanner and scanned the document
Returned to Adobe
Got error when trying to retreive from Xerox Scan Utility window.
Using: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3
Abobe Acrobat Professional 8.3.0 (after I had the problem, re-installed to make sure I had all the updates etc.)
Xerox WorkCentre Scanner 5740 - on network
TWAIN Driver downloaded from Xerox for that scanner
It appears that the last time I found anything related to this was 3 questions in 2002. I saw no definitive solutions. I had Xerox here to resolve and they could not. Since it appears the Xerox part is workiong - the image is scanned and retrievable by Visio, then the issue seems to be with Adobe. It also appears that Adobe is communicating with the Xerox since the Xerox Scan Utility Window displays in Adobe.
I called Adobe support and told them the problem. They could not (would not) answer since they said 8.3.0 is not supported. I asked if at least they could tell me what "The unit chosen is not supported." means - what is "unit". I was told to look it up in help.adobe.com or google.com - both of which I had already done.
Does anyone know what the solution is ? Thanks.I respect that you are employed by MicroSoft, but the compatability center is not always accurate. It indicated that Adobe Pro 8 was compatabile for both 32 bit and 63 bit - but it is not. I have upgraded to Adobe Pro 9 Extended because Adobe says that this is compatable with 64 bit. The Microsoft compatability center also says that v9 is compatable with 64 bit. But it is Not. I have upgraded Adobe to 9.3.0, and it is Still not working. I now have $700 invested in Adobe software that is non-functional due to W7 64 bit.
So although users can check the compatability center - as I did prior to purchasing my new laptop - but it may not be accurate.
And yes, I have updated the compatability center to indicate that the information there is incorrect.
I have searched/googled everything that I can think of, and still nothing helps. If you have a suggestion how to make this work, I am listening. -
View Wiki and Webcal on iPhone - Browser not supported
As the title suggests, I would like to use the wiki and webcal on an iphone. Ideally, I would like to turn off the browser tests the server does so it just serves the page to an iphone just as it would to any other window.
FWIW, in an android phone, the wiki services give a "browser not supported notice" but still serves the page like a regular page, and it works fine.
I have many users, so a server side change would be better than trying to get all of my users to use an emulated browser.What do you mean by "When I do a search on my browser, I get a message that it is not supported and the message suggests to use FIREFOX"?

You're right, FireFox cannot be used, but your 8520 browser can emulate FF.

Or you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.

I am reading SQLExpressionFields from one source .rpt file & want to add it to another ReportDocument. While doing so, it gives an error " The formula syntax is not supported by the report"

For some reason on an update the CreatedAt field is created and given a value of null. So of course on an insert/update it will error because CreatedAt is an Identity field.
I've tried to configure the modelBuilder in my context to tell it that CreatedAt is an identity field, but that still doesn't work.

So far the only way to fix this is by commenting out my Seed data, but it's not a fix. I've seen other solutions where you can force it to not serialize certain fields, but I don't know if those solutions apply.So I think this occurs because you might have created the database (Code-first) with POCOs that didn't have the CreatedAt field in them. I think that's what I did and the easiest way to fix it for me was to delete my database and re-create it with my POCOs

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. (2) When applicable, give a brief answer such as the one that you found objectionable. (3) Give up all the other normal activities of life and spend full time trying to answer questions here.
People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems. Even doing that, what I posted saved me time that I could use to help someone else.
The people helping here are all volunteers. None of them is being paid for the time they spend here. They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities. It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do. -
I'm being shown an error pop-up message periodically saying "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type 'file:' are not supported." I have a brand new MacBook Pro, and at no time am I actually having trouble connecting to the server, but this message continues to pop-up several times a day at random intervals. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is my computer just having a glitch? Other than that, and a mildly sticking caps lock button, it's working perfectly.
