Domain w/ directory & no extension

I have a group of .pdf's in a directory called pdf on my
website. I want my users to be able to access by simply going to
www.mysite.com/pdf without an exact extension (i.e. no .html or
.aspx)
Someone else instructed me to simply create a page in that
folder called index.html and list these pages, which I have done
but when I try to access that page (www.mysite.com/pdf) I get page
not available error.
To avoid the obvious, the page (mysite.com/pdf/index.html) is
loaded on the server and all the pdf's listed on that page can be
accessed by absolute address.
Any Help?! Could it be a server setting?

> Could it be a server setting?
Yes, it could be that the server doesn't use 'index.html' as
a default
filename. Ask your host what their default filename is. Use
that as the
name of the index.html page.

    1 ) I want he ask me account diradmin for integrate client mac os x to the domain open directory of Lion Server
    Authentication (with open directory admin username & password) is off by default. In Mountain Lion there is no longer a GUI to manage that and some of the other binding options. In Lion, I think you could use Server Admin (or was it Workgroup Manager) -- I can't remember, but there were little checkboxes.
    To make authentication mandatory in Mountain Lion, you can use this on the Server:
    sudo slapconfig -setmacosxodpolicy -binding required
    Use the following to check the binding policies:
    slapconfig -getmacosxodpolicy
    You might want to check the slapconfig man page, you'll find some of the other options that were in Server Admin in Lion, e.g. disable cleartext, block man-in-middle, etc.
    Edit, I just saw you're still using Lion Server, not Mountain Lion. I'm pretty sure the above commands will work on Lion Server as well.

  • Get domain root directory programmatically

    hello,
              There is any way to get the domain root directory path programmatically ??
              i.e : D:\bea\user_projects\domains\platformR1
              thanks

    John,
    OK. If you want to go the JMX route, have a look at the CurrentDirectory attribute of the ServerRuntime mbean. It would report your directory as this:
    C:\bea\user_projects\domains\myDomain\.

  • Finding the domain deployment directory from servlet

    I need to open a properties file and would like to do it in the domain deployment directory. is there a way to find this directory at runtime? this is not a clustered system.

    OK, I found the answer myself.
    The property is available via app.GetProps ( ), which is what I expected in the first place. But the following code just gave an invalid object as result:
    var MyProps = app.GetProps ( ) ;
    var i = GetPropIndex ( MyProps, Constants.UserSettingsDir ) ;
    var TheProp = MyProps [ i ] ;
    It seems that the Constants.UserSettingsDir value is NOT defined in ExtendScript, or not correctly defined. Replacing it with the value 152 (which is listed in the Frame Scripting Guide) does give me access to the property:
    var MyProps = app.GetProps ( ) ;
    var i = GetPropIndex ( MyProps, 152 ) ;
    var TheProp = MyProps [ i ] ;
    Adobe, please get your documentation in order. It might also be useful to have a list of values translating to Constants.<Something>, so that we can at least track back from the numeric value in the Data Browser to a symbolic value to be used in the scripts.

  • Active Directory Schema Extension for Directory Synchronization - ADFS 3.0, Office 365

    Hi Team,
    We are in a situation with extending the schema for one customer so that these additional exchange attributes may be utilized. They have a single data center where the Primary Domain Controller resides and have multiple remote sites each of which have Additional
    Domain Controllers installed.
    As recommended by Microsoft, I am going to extend the Active Directory Schema with Exchange Setup so that I can leverage targetaddress attribute from Local AD to set primary email address when directory synchronization happens.
    My Query: Do I have to extend the AD Schema with Exchange from each of these ADC's? Or the changes I make on any of them will replicate over the others also?
    Note: The customer will be using ADFS 3.0 'Single Sign On' with Office 365 and does NOT have any On-Premise Exchange deployment.

    My Query: Do I have to extend the AD Schema with Exchange from each of these
    ADC's? Or the changes I make on any of them will replicate over the others also?
    Schema extension is done against the Schema Master. Once done, it gets replicated to other DCs with the AD forest.
    For more details about Schema Extension by Exchange, you can refer to that: http://www.resdevops.com/2013/02/13/extend-ad-schema-to-allow-greater-office-365-management/

  • Active Directory schema extensions

    Hi
    We are in a process of implementing SAP LDAP sync to manage users from MS Active Directory. SAP requires schema extension generated by RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT program to be applied to Active Directory so that report RSLDAPSYNC_USER can be identify SAP users in MS AD.
    The MS AD team says that any non miscrosoft schema extensions are not supported as OIDs of the schema might conflict with other applications / patches.
    Are the MS AD schema extensions generated by SAP program RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT supported / certified by Microsoft.
    Harsh

    Hi Harsh,
    I would like to point you also to SAP Note 888848 - Notes on schema enhancement with RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT.
    It especially states that:
    ..."The text document generated by RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT was supplied and validate as part of a certification process by the directory vendor."...
    that means in this case by Microsoft.
    If you decide not to use the schema extension that has been supplied by Microsoft you can use attributes that are already existing in your Active Directory as Juergen already pointed out.
    As an example Microsoft Exchange Server creates several additional attributes such as extensionattribute1, ... , extensionattribute15 as part of the installation process. These attributes might be an option for you if you do not want to use the schema extension suggested by RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT.
    Please have in mind that the filter attribute that you will use to determine the SAP username should be indexed since this will reduce the synchronization time.
    Best Regards,
    André

  • Public Domain Open Directory Help

    We are trying to bind network computers to our OS X Server (3.1.2) open directory and it works correctly when we type in server.local (it also automatically fills in server.local). However, we are looking to be able to bind computers when they aren't in the local network and use a full public domain. When we try to bind to the public domain, it gives us the error,
    "Connection failed to the directory server.
    (2100)"
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many Open Directory problems can be resolved by taking the following steps. Test after each one, and back up all data before making any changes.
    1. The OD master must have a static IP address on the local network, not a dynamic address.
    2. You must have a working DNS service, and the server's hostname must match its fully-qualified domain name. To confirm, select the server by name in the sidebar of the Server application window, then select the Overview tab. Click the Edit button on the Host Name line. On the Accessing your Server sheet, Domain Name should be selected. Change the Host Name, if necessary. The server must have at least a three-level name (e.g. "server.yourdomain.com"), and the name must not be in the ".local" top-level domain, which is reserved for Bonjour.
    3. The primary DNS server used by the server must be 127.0.0.1 (that is, itself) unless you're using another server for internal DNS. The only DNS server set on the clients should be the internal one, which they should get from DHCP if applicable.
    4. Follow these instructions to rebuild the Kerberos configuration on the master.
    5. If you use authenticated binding, check the validity of the master's certificate. The common name must match the hostname and domain name. Deselecting and then reselecting the certificate in Server.app has been reported to have an effect in some cases.
    6. Unbind and then rebind the clients in the Users & Groups preference pane. Use the fully-qualified domain name of the master.
    7. Reboot the master and the clients.
    8. Don't log in to the server with a network user's account.
    9. As a last resort, export all OD users. In the Open Directory pane of Server, delete the OD server. Then recreate it and import the users. Ensure that the UID's are in the 1001+ range.

  • Domain/Active Directory

    Hey Everyone! I can't figure out how to add a domain to my ibook. I try using Directory access (where i can add a workgroup if i wanted) and clicked on active directory. i input all the information, but its not working. Does anybody no another way to add a domain or Configure active directory to work on my mac. I know i have all the info correct because my PC is on the same domain. In advance thanks!
    -Atowner

    Hi JuniorNM,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    When you try to log into a Windows 2003 server from a Mac, the server will respond with a credentials request, same as if it were a PC.
    Username/password need to be entered to gain access.
    The comment you've made about "The alias "comercial2" could not be opened" is saying the "Shortcut" to the networked volume is not accessible because either the path is bad or the credentials are wrong.
    If the location to the origianl item has not changed when the alias was made, then most likely the password has been changed in the PC world. You can use any valid PC account to access the server when using the Mac to log in to the 2003 server.
    When that happens a new alias will have to be made because the alias stores the access request data also.
    (All this has nothing to do with Active directory unless your computer has been added to the A/D forest).
    Also:
    Adding a PC to a domain has nothing to do with using Active Directory except the account adding the computer to the domain must have the priviledges to add computers to the domain. Active Directory will allow a user account to access an individual PC (or groups) and control what the user can and can't do.
    I hope this helps.

  • Third party JDBC Driver and Domain Extension

    Hi everyone, I'm using a third party driver to acess some of the legacy databases in my company. I'm adding them to Weblogic's (v. 10.3.3.0) Classpath by setting the EXT_PRE_CLASSPATH in the setWLEnv.sh file. Everything worked fine so far, until I had to extend my domain to acomodate new settings. The Configuration Wizard crashes in the middle by saying "A fatal error Has Occurred. This Application will terminate". By inspecting the logs I saw that the Wizard tried to search my Data Source which used the third party driver and couldn't find the Driver Class. I would like to know if there is a better way to add the library to the Weblogic's Classpath or someway to workaround this issue during the extension. In my current situation I'm having to erase the data source, extend the domain and reconfigure the data source, which is big trouble !
    Any help will be appretiated ! Thanks
    PS: I've also tried to add the third party driver's JAR in the CLASSPATH inside config.sh file but unfortunately the error was the same !

    You can place your jar files in the domain lib directory.
    WebLogic uses a separate classloader to load classes from the domain lib directory. This classloader
    is a child of the system classloader, and a parent of the application classloaders. The classes and
    resources in any .jar file placed in the directory is automatically available to all applications.
    Note, however, that the domain lib classloader does not support redeployment, dynamic reloading, or FastSwap, and cannot
    refer directly to code in the application classloaders. But i think that this is not a problem, you just want your
    thrid party JDBC driver to be availlable for your applications.

  • Lion Server 10.7.4 VPN service not using my Active Directory domain for authentication

    I have Lion Server 10.7.4 setup on a Mac Mini and I have enabled the VPN service for both L2TP and PPTP. The Mac Mini is joined to my Windows Domain at a functional level of Server 2008 R2. I have set the authentication paths to point to my domain in Directory Utility.
    What I would like to have happen is for my laptop to be able to VPN into my office network remotely using domain credentials and not local account credentials on the Mac Mini itself. This is a process I have done numerous times on Windows boxes, but for some reason the only way I can get the VPN to work on this instance of Lion Server 10.7.4 is by authenticating using local accounts only.
    Does Lion Server 10.7.4 only authenticate VPN users based on it's local account schema? Or can it truly authenticate against an active directory domain?
    Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

    Hi g-pirtle,
    Yes, I had already done that a few days ago. I was able to add the desired AD group to the allowed users/groups for the VPN service. Thats exactly what is so weird about this...it allows me to search for and add an AD user or group to the list of allowed users/groups, but then when I actually try to use a domain account to authenticate to the VPN is just gives me the "cannot authenticate" error. Very strange.
    I wondered if for some reason Apple is only allowing local accounts to be authenticated against. Sounds crazy, but I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I also wondered if Kerberizing the server would help, but when I go to join a Kerberos realm in Open Directory inside of Server Admin, it just has no realm listed in the drop down menu.
    Other than that, all other aspects of the Mac Mini being joined to the AD domain seems to be good. I'm really stumped here...
    Thanks again,

  • Problem authenticating user in Active Directory cross domain

    Hi,
    We have two different AD servers serving our London and Tokyo networks. My application runs in London network but used by both London and Tokyo users.
    The two ADs have domain trust setup between them. I have groups defined in London AD to which users from both the London and Tokyo ADs are assigned.
    'm trying to connect to London AD using the "users credentials" and retrieve the groups they are assigned to.
    I can connect to the London AD using any of the London user and I could retrieve the groups. But when I use a Tokyo user credentials to connect using the London AD server 'm getting Security exception with a code indicating "User Not Found".
    The code I use which is very basic is given below . The code below run as such gives me the following error,
    [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C090334, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 525, vece.
    If I change in the code below, Provider URL to Tokyo AD Server URL then it works but I can't use that due to security restrictions. As per the Windows Team the domain trust should allow me to connect/bind to the London AD Server with the Tokyo credentials.
    Hashtable<String, String> env = new Hashtable<String, String>();
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory");
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "london ldap server url");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION, "simple");
    env.put(Context.REFERRAL, "follow");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "[email protected]");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "password");
    env.put(LdapContext.CONTROL_FACTORIES, "com.sun.jndi.ldap.ControlFactory");
    ctx = new InitialLdapContext(env, null);
    I would like to know how to authenticate a user in a cross domain Active Directory environment. I read in one of the blogs that the "simple bind" will not work for cross domain user authentication. Unfortunately the blogger didn't mention what would work :( . Any help is much appreciated.
    Please bear with me if my query is a naive one and point me in the right direction.
    Thanks

    Hi Praveen,
    to avoid losing data when user objects are moved to new locations in the LDAP server, it is possible to configure the User Management Engine to use the value of a specific unique attribute as part of the unique ID instead of the distinguished name.
    For this, you have to change the following UME properties:
    For user objects: ume.ldap.unique_user_attribute=<attributename>
    For account objects: ume.ldap.unique_uacc_attribute=<attributename>
    For group objects: ume.ldap.unique_grup_attribute=<attributename>
    Be aware that the attribute (i.e. cn or uid) must be unique in the configured user/group path.
    Please read SAPNote 777640 for more information regarding this problem and the way to change the UME properties.
    Best regards,
    Robert

  • Downgrade of Windows 2012 r2 to Windows 2012 Domain Service Active Directory

    I have an uncertainty. we used adprep /forest and adprep /domain tools on windows 2012 R2 to update the domain active directory. But after promoting a domain controller to windows 2012 R2, we realized that a tool we use to authenticate computer account not
    supported for domain controllers in Windows 2012 R2. Here comes the question, I can to install direct and promote a domain controller windows 2012 without running the adprep /forest and adprep /domain tools of Windows 2012?.
    I hope be clearly.
    tks.

    Hello,
    as others mentioned there is no problem to promote a Windows Server 2012 into the domain as the functional level is fine for this.

  • RoundCube Webmail Authenticating against Open Directory on Mountain Lion 10.8.x

    Hello all,
    I've been battling this issue for over a month with no success. Here is what we got:
    Mac Mini Server running Mountain Lion Server 10.8.2 running Calendar, Contacts, Mail and Web services.
    With there being no webmail present I've gone thru the process of installing RoundCube.
    I'm using Postgres as the database.
    When I test the ability to login I get the following error messages in the console.app
    10/12/12 10:13:27.071 AM log[182]: auth: Error: od(andrew,::1): Authentication server failed to complete the requested operation.
    10/12/12 10:13:27.071 AM log[182]: auth: Error: od(andrew,::1): authentication failed for user=andrew, method=DIGEST-MD5
    The first line I find the most interesting but have had no success determinign exactly what it means.
    I'm using open directory to authenticate and it is working perfectly with every other service so I'm led to believe it's an issue between RoundCube and Open Directory.
    ANY help would be appreciated emmensely!

    Sorry about taking so long to get back on here working on this. I've switched over to MySQL. I had a hard time because mysql.sock was located under /tmp/ rather than /var/mysql/ but I fixed that by using the following command:
    sudo ln -s /tmp/mysql.sock /var/mysql/mysql.sock
    Then I reinstalled roundcube. Here is my main.inc.php file:

  • SCCM 2012 AD schema extension

    Hi all,
    we were in the process of installing SCCM 2012 R2 in our lab, we have extended the schema & schema extension creates classes & attributes we just wanted to know where we can find these Classes & attributes in AD. where we can see it being created
    in AD.
    We have seen the successful schema extension in the log files but we also wanted to get the details from AD side.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Pranay.

    This has all the details
    But in summary:
    Attributes and Classes Added by the Configuration Manager Schema Extensions
    When you extend the Active Directory schema for ConfigMgr 2012, the following attributes and classes are added to Active Directory Domain Services:
    Attributes:
    cn=mS-SMS-Assignment-Site-Code
    cn=mS-SMS-Capabilities
    cn=MS-SMS-Default-MP
    cn=mS-SMS-Device-Management-Point
    cn=mS-SMS-Health-State
    cn=MS-SMS-MP-Address
    cn=MS-SMS-MP-Name
    cn=MS-SMS-Ranged-IP-High
    cn=MS-SMS-Ranged-IP-Low
    cn=MS-SMS-Roaming-Boundaries
    cn=MS-SMS-Site-Boundaries
    cn=MS-SMS-Site-Code
    cn=mS-SMS-Source-Forest
    cn=mS-SMS-Version
    Classes:
    cn=MS-SMS-Management-Point
    cn=MS-SMS-Roaming-Boundary-Range
    cn=MS-SMS-Server-Locator-Point
    cn=MS-SMS-Site
    The Active Directory schema extensions might include attributes and classes that are carried forward from previous versions of the product but not used by ConfigMgr 2012. For example:
    o Attribute: cn=MS-SMS-Site-Boundaries
    o Class: cn=MS-SMS-Server-Locator-Point

  • Admin console extension sample

    I've been trying to create a simple admin extension against WLS 10.0. I believe I've followed the proper procedure by creating a myextension.jar file and placing it into the console-ext of the domain root directory. In this jar file, I have a WEB-INF/netuix_extension.xml file that tries to place a portlet on the "page" parent. The portlet is nothing special and just has a "hello world" jsp page. I have placed the files in the directories as recommended by WLS documentation and created the jar file. However, the extension has no effect. There are no console errors to be found in either output or logs and am hoping to find some help.
    Are there some extra debug flags I can turn on to see if it's being loaded, i.e. is there any config setting I can enable to provide more insight into finding the problem?
    I've looked, but have been unable to find a working bare bones example like this. Does anyone know where I can find one for WLS 10.0
    Here are the contents of the files I used to generate the extension:
    The netuix_extension.xml look like:
