DOMParser Locale problem

Hi,
i got a problem using the setLocale() method of the DOMParserin order to set the language of the Parser in FRENCH :
I wrote the code below :
DOMParser dp = new DOMParser();
Locale loc = new Locale("FRENCH", "FRANCE");
try {
     dp.setLocale(loc);
// THIS COMMAND RETURNS fr
     System.out.println(loc.getLanguage());
} catch (Exception e)
     System.out.println("Exception : " + e.getLocalizedMessage());
try
dp.parse(url);
catch (XMLParseException pe)
System.out.println(pe.getLocalizedMessage());
AND THE MESSAGES ARE STILL IN ENGLISH !!!
WHAT's wrong ??
Help me please

I found the response for my problem :
I/ include in CLASSPATH=$CLASSPTH:$XDK_HOME/lib/xmlmesg.jar
but the messages are not good : the {1} element is never replaced.
II/ modify the file "XMLErrorMesg_fr.properties" in order to remove all the ' :
exemple:
XSD-2025 become Texte ''{0}'' non valide dans l \u00e9l\u00e9ment : ''{1}''

  • Locale problem

    Hi,
    I experience various locale problems on Solaris 10.
    One of them relates to the thousand separator of the fr_CA locale : its value is A0 (hex) rather than a space. It can be easily reproduced by the following command :
    LC_ALL=fr_CA; export LC_ALL; locale -ck LC_MONETARY | grep thousands | od -x -c | grep a0
    Solaris 10 hosts with patch 119397-06 or 119397-07 return
    0000020 703d 22a0 220a
    Systems with patch 119397-05 do not seem to be affected.
    Is anyone affected by the same problem?
    Besides that, locale -ck LC_MONETARY gives a quite different output depending on the OS version (Solaris 9 or 10) or patch level (for Solaris 10).
    Thanks in advance,
    Olivier

    bump
    using
    new Locale("ja", "JP");
    and making a new formatted date gives me
    2007/03/23
    for japan
    and
    March 23, 2007
    for US_EN
    so it makes me think its missing some translations, any idea how to get the translations into the whatever so this works?

  • Servererror: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later (exim / @hotmail)

    Hello,
    a customer of mine has issues sending email to @hotmail/@live/@outlook mail addresses.
    the problem only occurs with these Microsoft addresses!
    when sending an email they get an error email reply (generated from within outlook) from "systemmanager"
    saying "Servererror: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later"
    just like Graylisting, when the costumer sends the email for the second time all works fine.
    My exim server log says:
    2014-05-27 15:03:19 H=(MAC01) [37.xxx.xx.130] F=<[email protected]> A=login:[email protected] temporarily rejected RCPT <[email protected]>: host lookup did not complete
    2014-05-27 15:03:22 H=(MAC01) [37.xxx.xx.130] incomplete transaction (QUIT) from <[email protected]>
    can somebody tell me how to fix this?
    and or point me in the right direction where the problem might be (Microsoft, my server, costumer mac)!

    Hi,
    To narrow down the issue, please do the following checks:
    1. What’s you Outlook client, Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2011 for Mac?
    2. Does the issue only happen to one specific user? How about other users?
    3. What’s the problematic user’s account used to send messages? Exchange account or other webmail account such as Hotmail, Gmail?
    4. Please close Outlook and access the webmail to send test messages to @hotmail/@live/@outlook mail addresses and check whether the issue persists.
    5. If the issue doesn’t happen in webmail, please also create a new Outlook profile to have a try:

  • I'm having problems with my internet connection after installing OS X Lion. Is this a known problem or just a local problem?

    I'm having problems with my internet connection after installing OS X Lion. Is this a known problem or just a local problem?
    After +/- 10 to 15min my connection is gone.
    Does anyone have a sollution?

    Lots of people are having the same problem, you're not the only one, belieeeeve me.
    Just Googling the problem gets you tons of people complaining about the same thing, SOMETHING is up with Lion what wasn't happening with Snow Leopard. i just bought a new Imac and it CAME with Lion, so i started experiencing this internet dropout immediately.
    It's been going on for the most of a year it looks like (at least by the dates from the threads i've been reading)
    So your best bet is to fiddle with the System Preferences and read what other people have used to make theirs work. i'm doing that myself right now.  I already posted  a similar thread last night trying to figure out why my connection kept on dropping, i got a reply which linked me to a site. i followed the instructions there, so far so good, but i'm just being cautiously optimistic.
    i'm gonna call Apple today and see if they've found anything, though seeing as this is a problem right out of the box there may not be an immediate solution. Good luck hunting for a solution :3

  • Locale problems

    Hi,
    I'm on a fresh installed Arch-X86_64/KDE.
    In order to maintain the main English (US) language, and add (initially missing) capability to display file names in Hebrew as well I:
    1. Created a /etc/locale.gen file (didn't exist initially) with:
    #en_US ISO-8859-1
    en_US.UTF-8
    #he_IL.UTF-8    UTF-8
    #he_IL    ISO-8859-8
    2. As root, ran locale-gen and rebooted.
    Now, I get the desired Hebrew file names, yet, running local yields some errors (see below).
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks
    -----------output of locale-----------
    $ locale

    LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
    LC_ALL=

    Hello,
    I have also been experiencing locale problems.  I've taken a look at all file contents, re-installed glibc, all with no impact.  Below, I've included contents of relevant files, copy and pasted from the files.
    rc.conf:
    LOCALE="en_US.UTF-8"
    DAEMON_LOCALE="yes"
    locale.gen:
    en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
    en_US ISO-8859-1
    re-install of glibc:
    (1/1) upgrading glibc [######################] 100%
    Generating locales...
    en_US.UTF-8... done
    en_US.ISO-8859-1... done
    Generation complete.
    So I did some additional investigation.
    /etc/locale.gen
    mentions
    /usr/share/i18n/locales
    and
    /usr/share/i18n/charmaps
    So I took a look at their contents:
    cd /usr/share/i18n/charmaps
    ls UT*
    UTF-8.gz
    cd ../locales
    ls en_U*
    en_US
    I do not see a file named
    en_US.UTF*
      Should there be?

  • Date/locale problems; first day of week / browser language

    Hi,
    I've been trying to create an event calendar PL/SQL portlet. My problem is that it reacts to browser language or something, so it goes all screwy when viewed with browsers in another language.
    How can I force my portlet to be finnish and finnish ONLY. I DO NOT want it to change (first day of the week monday or sunday) depending on what browser the user is using. I have tried to use the third parameter to to_char(p_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy','NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE = Finnish') in all places but it has no effect. Database locale is correct ( I think, I'm not the admin) but still it happens. Chrome, Firefox, IE show different stuff depending on the browser language.
    I'll admit it is not the most elegant coding ever (if it were I would have taken this into account and dealt with it!) but is there any way to just force my dates and date variabes to be finnish, period.
    Edited by: Baguette on Mar 9, 2010 10:37 AM

    Got it.
    For public sessions, Portal will indeed investigate the browser language. Pending on the browser language, Portal can display in specific languages. Only when users login and set a language explicitly, will we maintain the language setting, unless the user switches browsers again.
    The Portal DAD settings will indeed overwrite your system wide setting of NLS_TERRITORY. The dads.conf will have something like AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8. If you want to overrule this in your portlet, you need to find a way of overruling the NLS_TERRITORY in the session. This can be done with dbms_session.set_nls('nls_territory','FINLAND');
    e.g. for my previous example :
    declare
    date1 varchar2(2000);
    date2 varchar2(2000);
    date3 varchar2(2000);
    begin
    select to_char(sysdate,'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') today into date1 from dual ;
    select to_char(sysdate+ (1-to_char(sysdate,'D')),'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') into date2 from dual ;
    select to_char(sysdate+ (7-to_char(sysdate,'D')),'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') into date3 from dual ;
    htp.p('Territory set to AMERICAN');
    htp.hr;
    htp.p('Today : '||date1);
    htp.br;
    htp.p('First day of the week : '||date2);
    htp.br;
    htp.p('Last day of the week : '||date3);
    htp.br;
    htp.p('Territory set to FINLAND');
    htp.hr ;
    dbms_session.set_nls('nls_territory','FINLAND');
    select to_char(sysdate,'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') today into date1 from dual ;
    select to_char(sysdate+ (1-to_char(sysdate,'D')),'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') into date2 from dual ;
    select to_char(sysdate+ (7-to_char(sysdate,'D')),'Dy DD-Mon-YYYY') into date3 from dual ;
    htp.hr;
    htp.p('Today : '||date1);
    htp.br;
    htp.p('First day of the week : '||date2);
    htp.br;
    htp.p('Last day of the week : '||date3);
    end;
    Thanks,

    Try the new svn version of TTM, this problem was caused in the older version. The newer one fixes this, I had the same problem. You will also need to use the new config example that is provided with the svn.

  • Locale problem (cannot log into shell)

    hi,
    I can't log into my archlinux system.
    when I am trying to log into from the shell the shell resets when I enter my correct credentials (if I enter wrong ones it displays expected errors). I never had this error before. I don't even know what's wrong or how I could fix this. why is the shell behaving like that?
    So I am kinda stuck now. last thing I did before the error was playing around with locales, like enabling de_DE.UTF8 in locale.gen, then locale-gen and export de_DE.UTF8.
    first I had an error like the one below and my system wouldn't even display a login prompt:
    [ 7.013519] agetty[537] trap divide error ip:7f28... sp:7fff... error:0 in libc-2.15.so[7f28...+196000]
    I 'fixed' that error by changing LOCALE in rc.conf to de_DE (without UTF8).
    then I had a gdm trap divide error.
    I 'fixed' that by disabling gdm.
    I can access my system only via my archlinux install usb stick.
    regards
    edit: I've checked auth.log, it says:
    session opened for user dynamo by LOGIN(uid=0)
    file /var/log/lastlog created
    session closed for user dynamo
    and when I open lastlog I can see only gibberish:
    ^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@
    is lastlog how it is supposed to be? or could this be part of the error?

    Thanks for the reply...
    A standard (non admin user) will get the spinning timer and not login.
    If I remove the role which gives them access to see all 'Categories' they get a bit further with the following error message:
    If I put that role back on, I get the same error.
    For admin users, they get the same spinning circle.  However, if a single role is removed from their username, it lets them in.
    This role is the administrator role (ZBPC_VVM000001)...
    Standard users do not have the administrator user role but stil experience the same problem.
    I'm still investigating but if anyone has had anything similar then please let me know.
    We also just tired restarting the CUA connection with BWP

  • Terminal & locale problems

    I have troubles with terminals (urxvt and xterm, same behaviour) - mc has strange characters instead linesd, vim gets sometimes text garbled. I tried to fix this but nothing works. What is strange - when I start urxvt from urxvt, the problems are gone (same for xterm). I triple-checked locale settings. I dumped varibles form urxvt, run new urxvt from it and dumped variables once more and them compare. No results. I found dirty workaround - command printf '\33]701;%s\007' $LC_CTYPE in .bashrc force correct locale for urxvt.
    But I would really like to find source of this troubles - any idea where to look would be wellcomed.

  • Lost Locale problem with Struts/Validator Plugin client side validation

    Has anyone else had problems losing the locale in the generated javascript ?
    With the following tiles def and layout (nmLayout.jsp) I can get the locale from the browser OK with
    <html:html locale="true"> and it works ok for imported text (picking up the enCA properties file. But when the javascript executes in the provisionCustomer.jsp the locale reverts to the default property file.
    The Strruts Validator loses the locale of the containing html page. (I do a show source.) I've tried an explicit <fmt:setLocale value="en_CA" scope="session"/> but this has no effect either.

    </html:form>

    you can always get the locale from the request like so....
    <html>
    <%
    request.getLocale().toString();
    %>
    </html>
    you can even stuff it into javascript like so....
    <html>
    <head>
    <script>
    function foo() {
    var locale = '<%=request.getLocale().toString()%>';
    </script>
    </head>
    </html>
    then you can have access to it in javascript code.

  • Multiple locales problem ---labels display incorrectly

    Hi, we get a problem as we try to get the internationalization support for our helpset. The Labels, for example, can not be correctly displayed if we change the language option in Internet Explorer from english to Italian. "Switch Books" would always be displayed as german language , also "index", "content"... But if we check cabo/images/cache directory, we can only find an "en" subdirectory, nothing else.
    Is it necessary to configure some files to get this support? or its automaticlly supported? by the way we have included the ohw-2.0.1.0.jar file in WEB-INF/lib

    It should be automatically supported. Some questions/comments:
    1. Do you have a german locale helpset that matches the locale used by the browser? OHW will only change the UI if it can find a matching helpset. This is to ensure the helpset and UI are in the same language.
    2. Second, you can force OHW to use a particular locale (with the condition above) by adding locale=en_US (or some other IANA code) as another request paramter. You can try this to make sure your browser settings were not incorrect the last time you tried.

  • Strange Locale problem

    Hi All,
    Problem:
         User Locale is changing while running the application.
    Software:
         OC4J 904, jstl1.0, java 1.4.2
    Code Flow
         Pls go through the following to understand our code flow
         1) Setting the locale specifications in the startup servlet after successful login
              locale is "en" or th
              Config.set(session, javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.core.Config.FMT_LOCALE, locale);
              Config.set(session, javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.core.Config.FMT_FALLBACK_LOCALE, "en");
         2)Adding the resource vundle to the application level
              <fmt:setBundle basename="ApplicationResources" var="resources" scope="application"/>
         3) Setting UTF-8 as a contenttype charset
         4)Accessing the messages from bundle in JSP
              <fmt:message key="name" bundle="${resources}"/>
    Problem
         Application executes fine with the selected locale. After some point the locale automatically swithes to a different charset. In our case, we try to execute with english it's changing to thai charset(TIS-620). What could be the problem.
         Is there any fix or an alternative to this.
    Thank U

    Where does it say that "en_US implies only 128 printable characters"?
    And it's not printf that has the problem. Its tr's (and sed's and cut's) handling of the input stream. But tr only has this problem with the en_US locale where printf does not.
    $ printf "\377\n"
    ÿ
    $ printf "\377\n" | tr -d '\377'
    tr: Illegal byte sequence
    $ export LC_ALL=C
    $ printf "\377\n" | tr -d '\377'
    The man page does say 8-bit (not 7-bit), so we should be able to use characters up to 255 (octal 377), à la ISO-8559-1. And it seems that printf will go on to print higher number, multibyte characters from UTF-8 if you go above 377. I guess once the leftmost bit gets set, printf knows to interpret them as UTF-8 characters.
    So the question is: What rule is Leopard enforcing? What are the limitations of en_US supposed to be? Surely not 7-bit ASCII!
    By the way - this problem does not exist on AIX, another POSIX OS, nor on Linux or NetBSD. I have a feeling that there is something broken on Leopard. I'll try this on Tiger today.

  • Design mode locale problems with 4.5.1

    I tried this in the Flex forum but no answers. I'll try here. I've been working on a project for a year that has worked fine. I upgraded to 4.5.1 and now can no longer edit several of my components that were localized.  I solely get a red X and a design error that says "Assets failed to compile.  Design Mode is unable to display the document styles, skins, and images because the following assets have failed to compile:Details :unable to open 'locale/en_US'(command line - Line:-1)"
    I've a folder with locale/en_US and it actually localizes fine if I run the app, but I can not longer edit in design mode which, as you might guess, really puts a damper on moving objects by pixels.
    Any suggestions?

    I don't have a solution, but i think i pinned the circumstance down to being generated when:
    You have a localised project
    You also embed a generic (non-localised) asset
    In the case I used to file a bug report, including/removing an <s:Image> tag causes/removes the problem:
    https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-32609
    Note: In my builder I had an additional issue making it difficult to pin down - in that once the Design Mode Problem had been raised, even reverting the line of code that caused it didn't clear the problem report - took a couple of odd steps:
