Don't know how to store/show image or pdf files easily in apex app

Hi,
I always want to put a blob column in my table and store some images or pdf files, like drawings for an item, but I found it hard to do, I have viewed the sample app by apex 4.0, but I cannot understand the code.
Is there a simple and intuitive way of storing/showing pdf files in an apex app?
I wish Oracle could make an easier wizard for apex on that issue.
just make storing a file as simple as in MS access, or email attachment, etc.
no headache coding involved.

that will also do Oracle good, since images will use up a lot of spaces, maybe Xe won't be enough, the will consider an upgrade.

Maybe this helps for a start, even if it isn't as easy as in MsAccess but this may be due to the fact that APEX is a web application and Access a rich client.

What I have been doing is exporting documents to PDF's on my PC in Open Office and emial them to myself. Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Downloaded a ringtone but don't know how to put it in the ringtones file

First, I have never had an iPod so this is my first experience with Apple. I downloaded a ringtone and it shows “purchased” in my iTunes folder and it is also in my “Library” on my phone but I don’t know how to move it from my “Library” folder to “ringtone folder. If anyone can help me…TIA

I just re-read your message - it sounds like you just purchased a song - not the ringtone. You actually need to "make" the ringtone in iTunes, buy-it, and then sync with iPhone

HT4061 Since downloading the Find my IPad I don't know how to delete the cookies I have left when opening an app.

I download the find my IPAD app. I have disabled it now, but find that when I try to delete the cookies, I get a whole different screen and don't know how to delete them.

Don't know how or where to create user.js file so I can add script to allow copy and paste into a webbased email

I am trying to compose an email from the email address on my web page. The email editor program (or Mozilla) doesn't allow me to do that. The instructions that Mozilla provided said to find the user.js file in Firefox's profile directory. I can't find such a file. I don't know where or how to create this file or how to write into it the lines that the instructions provided. I also don't know what url I am supposed to substitute for mozila.org that is in the lines of script.

This was helpful. Now, to to do what I need to do I have to add something to the user.js file as per directions regarding ''setting prefs for Mozilla Rich Text Editing Demo'' to allow a copy and paste. It instructs me to change the URL from mozila.org to where I want to enable the function. I am not sure what that means. I am trying to to do something in the "back office" of my web site. I want to send an email from the web site's email. I am trying to copy and paste a pdf file into the body of the email but was not able to do it. I was directed to the setting prefs page. Do I change the location to the URL of my web site or the web site of the web host?

You need to have an app on your iPad that can use these files. pdf files can be opened by the iBooks app and a number of other 3rd party apps. You will need to check in the iTunes App Store for an app that can handle MS Word files.
You can sync pdfs to iBooks on the iPad following these instructions from the iPad User Guide;
Use iTunes to sync your books with iPad. When iPad is connected to your computer, the Books pane lets you choose which books to sync.
In addition to books that you download from iBookstore, iBooks works with books that are pdf or in ePub format and DRM-free. There are several websites that offer ePub books, and many of these books can be used with iBooks.
Add a pdf or an ePub book: Download the book using your computer, then add it to your iTunes library. Connect iPad to your computer, select the book in the Books pane in iTunes, then sync iPad.

In later versions of Acrobat you can select an Image with the Select tool, then right-hand click for Save options.

It helps if you quote your exact version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader - choose [Help, About...] to find this.
Also useful: Version numbers of other software (e.g. Word) if relevant. Age of computer and amount of memory (RAM) available (r/h cllcking on 'My Computer' and choosing Properties gives you this, plus processor speed).

Don't know how to import multiple images

I expect this is really simple, but I've tried and tried, and can't find anything on it in the Help files. I open a picture file in Photoshop, which is fine, but then I want to open another picture in the same Photoshop file so I can combine them, putting it on a different layer. If I open another picture file it seems to put it into a new Photoshop file. Can ayone tell me how to do it please?

Don't know how to combine two images

I've brought two separate images together but the problem is I'm trying to get the first image of a person inside the bird cage which is the second image. please help!

Since you don't seem to want to supply your images I'll try to simulate what you have. You basically have two layers. A background layer an image of a sky with a floating cage. Your second layer above it is a cutout girl
Step 1 turn off visibility of the girl and use Photoshop selection tools to select the cage. Magic wand or color range maybe pen tool whatever works best for you.
Step 2 turn on the visibility of the girl layer target that layer, invert the selection and click on the add layer mask icon in the layers palette to add it ask a layer mask.
Step 4 the layer mask is the current target. Select white paint and a small hard brush paint white to bring the girl back.
step 5 if you paint too much of the girl back in and wipe out some bars switch to black paint and paint the bars back in. Its very easy to paint straight lines. Click once on the top of the bar with black paint move the mouse pointer to the bottom of the bar press shift and click. A straight line will be drawn.
