Doubt in  sap teched -mdm 250exercise - step 5 ( page 5 in the document)

i am  preparing for mdm 250 _ exercise of the sap teched mdm document ,  where in step 5 its shown that , we can either upload the ports and check tables data or we can mainintain manually . its told that , the easy way is to upload the ports and check tables data by using the tab "upload  ports and check tables " ,
so now my doubt is if i want to upload that ports and check tables data using that particular tab , where do i get that text file .
in the teched the document used was -
"MDMGX_BuPa.txt"
please help , how can i get this file to upload ....

Hi Akhil,
that txt file contains the code.it is like a repot which we create by abap code.
I think but not sure that this file you have to create your own to your specific ports by taking help of any standard report file then you can upload this file by using the option.
other wise go for the option as "Maintain ports and check table", there you can create manually and it is very easy to do insteed of making a abap report.
you can define your own object and in that perticulat object you can create your own ports according to your requirement and then generate the XSD for perticular object and the same you can use in your repository while creating ports.

    Hi, Barry. I don't know why this solution didn't work for me :-\ Does it matter that my page numbers are in the footer and not the header? When I follow your direction, the pages do get numbered differently. My problem occurs with the last step.
    1. Open the Inspector. (Check!)
    2. Click the Layout button (second from left). (Check!)
    3. Click Section. (Check!)
    4. Make the two settings shown: (Check!)
    5. Go to Page 1 and delete the contents of the Header. (When I do this, the content for all footers is deleted...)

    You can't change the way Pages import .doc files.
    It was never written that it reproduce exactly the original one.
    From my point of view, as I refuse to give a cent to M...soft, the best way to deal with documents issued by their Office suite is to use the free libreOffice.

  • Message- Print No pages from the document were selected to be printed

    I have had this application for some time, simply never used it.  Last night I tried converting a PDF file to word, unsuccessfully, I might add.
    Today, whilst printing a page, my printing settings appear to have been reset because when I selected Print selected page, the following message appeared:
    Print
         No pages from the document were selected to be printed message
    How do I reconfigure my settings to preview rather than defaulting to PDF?  Kindly advise.  Cheers.

    I have only been able to print by exporting from iphoto. I have a new HP printer and there is software that supports photo printing ("HP photo smart") and I have been able to do it this way. On some occasions I have been able to use the iphoto>print>then preview before actually printing. There is a print option on the preview pane and that has worked on occasion...unsure why it doesn't work always. Please pass on any other hints, or let me know if this works for you!!

    If you open the Pages panel, (Window>Pages) you will see thumbnails of your master pages and your document pages. In new documents, there is usually a master called A-Master and one called None. If you drag the thumbnail of the None master onto the thumbnail of a document page, it will apply that master to that page. Presumably, you have made your page numbers on A-Master, so this will usually do the trick. If you have elements on A-Master that you need on the first page, but just not the page number, you can duplicate A-Master (which, by default will give you B-Master, but you can change the names if you like) and remove the page number on the duplicate and apply that to the document page.
    It might also be worth noting that you can apply master pages in the fly-out of the Pages panel. Go to the fly-out triangle and go down to Apply Master to Pages…, then select a master to apply and the range of pages (1-8 will give you all 8, 1, 3, 5, 7 will be the odds, 1-3, 4, 6-8 if you want continuous ranges and individual pages).

    I am back in Mavericks and testing Pages 5.2.
    There are improvements, we shall see how useful, but in less than a minute I have already discovered bugs.

    It is pretty amazing you got a new version without even knowing it.
    In System Preferences > App Store you can turn off the automatic updates by unchecking "Install app updates" as I've done here:
    If you're using Numbers across platforms and displaying dynamic output on the iPad or doing data entry there, you'll be *much* happier with Numbers 3.0 than the old version. If you're doing a lot of traditional printing of heavily formatted documents, the old version is much better.  For most day-to-day uses in between it's a toss-up.  The new version, despite its flaws, is a powerful application that can enhance productivity in ways the old version can't.

  • How do I get headers to reproduce on other pages in the document?

    I've spent about 30 minutes on this problem and I'm running out of time. I opened my newsletter project in new Pages and things are not as they should be in the template. I'll leave the griping to other people. They're doing a great job expressing my frustration. I just want to know how to fix this simple problem:
    The header info on Page 1 is no longer showing up on Page 2. There is Lorem Ipsum style text there now. And the date is wrong. Same issue with the footers. The hole point of having headers and footers for me is to edit copy in one place that propogates through the entire document. I suspect the new ability to spawn new headers & footers per page is the culprit. A drop down on the Page 1 header reads "Editing header for pages 1-2", but this isn't so. Page 2 clearly has a separate header. No changes to Page 1 are reflected in Page 2. I'm stumped. Anybody know how to tell Pages to fix this? I've even tried deleting the Page 2 header, but still can't find a way to get the Page 1 header to reproduce there.

    I've got a similar problem but somewhat backwards to yours.
    I have a new MacBook Pro 15 Retina, running Yosemite.  I am using Pages to rewrite my resume from scratch, based on past versions and notes.
    I worked two hours on the page header for page one.  When I started working on the page one header there were three pages in the document, each put there because I inserted a page break.  I also made sure that the document inspector had Hide First Page and Match Previous Section were NOT selected.
    Much to my surprise when I finished working on the header on page one, the same header was on page two.  I started to change the header on page two, but found it was changing the first page header.
    Going back and forth for a couple of hours I now have the page one header ok by itself.  Except . . . when I clicked in the page one header a pop up bubble appeared with the message: "Editing header for pages 1 - 2."
    The only thing I can think of is that the header I composed is fairly complex.  It has a mixture of fonts, sizes, and colors.  Outside of the header box I made a horizontal line, 1 pt. in size, with a grey color.  I moved the line into the area with the header box and the result is great.  Except that is not the header I want for page two.
    I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions based upon practical experience that has worked.  Please, you are kind, but no guesses.

    Is there a way to save the other pdf files so they also show the 1st page of the document?

    Compress it as a zip file and add the zip file to the mail as an enclosure.
    In the Finder control (right) click on the pdf file to bring up the Finder's contextual menu and select Compress.  A .zip file will be created in the same directory as the pdf file.  Then add that zip to your mail message.  The receiver will of course have to expand the zip on his or here end.  But zip is fairly general and woks on both macs and windows.

    Getting this error: "no pages from the document were selected to be printed" after -- you guessed it -- selecting a photo and trying to print (from iPhoto 6).
    Everything was working fine (I had successfully printed several photos) and then I tried to get the printer to communicate through a Bluetooth dongle plugged into the printer, and now the printing won't work, although I'm plugged into the printer via USB. Printer is an Epson PictureMate PM200.
    I've tried deleting the iPhoto preferences file, but that didn't seem to help.

    You got me curious (even though I've never used coupons.com, and I have an AirPrint printer).  So I checked out coupons.com in the iTunes Store and found the following two reviews that I think explain everything:
    Based on the above, my conclusion is coupons.com is set up to print on wireless HP printers from an iPad.  You could print to a non-AirPrint HP printer as well using an app from the iTunes Store.  But the non-AirPrint printers do offer considerably less compatibility with Apple's iPad applications than the AirPrint ones do.  For example, in the Epson case, non-AirPrint Epsons can print from Safari but not from email.

    I am also experiencing the same problem only recently.  I have used the program for almost a year without any problems except now.  Adobe Acrobat 8 standard, ver 8.1.5.
    Whenever I insert pages or rotate, I get an immediate shut down window, “Adobe Acrobat 8.1 ahs encountered a problem and needs to close.
    I am no longer able to use this program.  Abobe Acrobat 5.0 still works fine.  Does anyone have a solution?  I already did a repair and reloaded the program.
