Configure SSO Connection from SAP Enterprise Portal to BOE Server

Hi Guys,
We recently installed a BOE Server and want to connect it to our SAP Enterprise Portal. What we need is just to display the Crystal Reports via Enterprise Portal. We have set up the following:
SAP EP with AD Authentication
SAP EP configured with SNC to SAP BI7 system
SAP BOE XI 3.1 - SAP Integration Kit
BOE Server configured with SAP Authentication via SAP BI7 System
We've also set up BOE IK iviews and URL iviews pointing to existing reports in BOE. However, when we access it from EP, it prompts for a username and login to BOE. Is there a way to configure these so that there is no prompt for login to BOE server and SSO is used? Is it also possible to have a service account (e.g. domain/crystal) that will run the reports in BOE everytime a user accesses a report from SAP EP?

Hi,
You should configure InfoView for SSO first, which required infoview.xml file modification, using windows AD default authentication. If you want to utilize the OpenDocument URL for iView then you also need to configure OpenDocument.xml file for SSO also. The SAP portal must have trust relation with the SAP BW server so the Windows AD token can be authenticate with SAP BW server.
If you want crystal user to run all the report then you will lose data security. It can be done by hard coding user name and password in the report properties and database logon but the SSO capability can be accomplished only by windows AD, SAP or LDAP.

Application is not working in Enterprise Portal (Access Denied)

I have created one application..........This application contains one DropDownByKey element whenever i run this application all the material numbers are automatically populated from R/3....... once i selected material number all the fields related to that material number are displyed in my view..... It is working fine in my NWDS(WebDynpro).....
I have integrated this application into Enterprise Portal their i am not getting any data into DropDownList box from R/3.... when i run the application i am getting "ACESS DENIED" error ............
But i have another applicaton(FlightList) which is already integrated into Enterprise Portal..... its working fine......This is also accessing data from R/3.... but its working......
The material application is not working........
Please Help Me.....

Hi,
How have you defined the property "WAS host" for the portal system that you have created for the back-end?
You might get this error if the way you have defined this WAS host property and the way you are calling the portal are different. For example, if your WAS host property is "<hostname>:<portnumber>" and you are calling your portal as "localhost:<portnumber>", then you will get this error.
Also are you connecting to your portal using the fully qualified domain name? Don't call the portal simply as
http://<host>:<port>/irj but call it as http://<host>.<domain>:<port>/irj.

Web Based Application Single Sign on With Enterprise Portal

Good day Developers,
My question is really a two part question so forgive me in advance for asking in one post as I think they are relative to each other. My project is currently exlporing the creation of functionality that will allow the following:
1. We want to allow a secure Web Based application possessing the abilitiy to auithenticate the user into Enterprise Portal and by passing the login screen to get to a landing page/iview in our Enterprise Portal instannce.
2. We want the abilitity to perform a check of the user and create the user in the enterprise portal on the fly if they do not already exist.
So far in my research I've come across tools and white papers mentioning the use rof oAuth and OpenID. Is that the right way to tackle these two items. Thanks for your help in advance.

1. You can do SSO between you application and portal using Verisign or third party authentication tool. I am not pretty sure how landing page and all will work as you mentioned.
As portal is web based, you can deply your application in portal server. So that you will not need any other authentication tool.Also you can save effort , cost.
2. By deploying application in portal also you do not have to concentrate on User management, which is itself a huge effort you have to put. Else you can go for third party tools like Identity management or ADS.

I have done with static dropdownlist.....means i have created one string simple type in dictonary...i have enterd values in enumaration and i am getting these values in dropdownlist when i am runnig this application in NWDS.... but in EP its not working
i am not taking any values from R/3 there is no back end connection for this.......

How to encrypt user credentials when he logs on the Enterprise Portal

Hi all,
I want to use a cookie approach on SAP Enterprise Portal i.e. when the user first logs on, i would create a cookie and store the encrypted password in it so that next time he hits the portal, he is directly authenticated with the help of the cookie.
For this above functionality, i need to know how the encryption & decryption techniques can be achieved by using the SAP Encryption libraries.
Would be highly appreciative if i get some info on this.

You can use logon ticket for the implementation you want to do. For security issues you are talking about then you can use the SSL connection for the client who is accessing the SAP Enterprise portal. For SAP Logon Ticket see the login modules CreateTicketLoginModule and EvaluateTicketLoginModule
Initially set the ume.configuration.active = true
For the security related issues ypu can set the following properties in the login modules
1) ume.logon.security.enforce_secure_cookie to TRUE.
Marks the SAP logon ticket as a secure cookie, to enforce that the client browser sends the cookie only when an SSL connection to the J2EE Engine or the reverse proxy is established.
2) ume.logon.httponlycookie to TRUE
If true, the SAP logon ticket is set to HttpOnly. This prevents it from being read by malicious client-side script code such as JavaScript. The setting is only effective for clients that use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or higher.
I would suggest to use the 1st option as SAP also recommend the use of SSL connection for Logon Tickets.

Regarding the implementation phase, Solution Manager helps you via several functionalities:
- Solution Documentation: Central documentation of processes, system landscape, custom code,...
- Test Management:Change impact analysis, End-to-end test management
- Change Control Management: Integrated quality management, Synchronized transports of various components, Controlled and documented adjustment of business processes incl. approval process
- Application Incident Management: Integrated service desk, Involvement of partners in problem resolution, Provide root-cause analysis for complex landscapes with diverse technology stacks
The most important part in from my perspective for a implementation consultant is the Project Documentation functionality, where you can get Implementation Content for Enterprise Portal. This includes business scenarios documentation and business process included in the Business Process Repository, how to configure different scenarios and business processes, test cases, etc.
I think you can find some information in the marketplace about this functionality. For example you may find something under service.sap.com/alm -> SAP Solution Manager and Tools.

Two sap enterprise portal in the same server

We have installed a SAP Enterprise Portal on a linux server, all ok!!. but now we want to install another SAP Portal in the same server with the same ehp and same sp, but diferent url, is it possible? and we have something in mind when we began to install it..
e.g. diferents ports or diferents database SID to avoid errors.

SAP Software in general is flexible regarding this requirement.
A SAP ID identifies the system, and the Instance ID is related to the Portnumbers that are used...
So lets say you have an:
- host called "linuxhost1" and
   - you installed a SAP system "AB1" and
      - the CI is 00 and SCS is 01
then you can install multiple additional installations for example
- host called "linuxhost1" and
   - you installed a SAP system "AB2" and
      - the CI is 02 and SCS is 03
etc etc..
As long as your host has enough resources you can fill it up...
The instance numbers you chose are reflected in the portnumbers. So in my example above the AB1 portal is called by http://linuxhost1:50000 and AB2 portal is called by http://linuxhost1:50200...
So in other words the instance number of the CI is used in the portnumber of the java instance (5NN00).
The above info is also spread among different SAP installation guides, and SAP help pages.

Data of customize BSP in Enterprise Portal is not displayed

Dear All,
I stuck on to find out the solution, in order to display FAQ list in BSP Enterprise Portal by using customer id to logon to Enterprise Portal, need your guide.
Let me explain:
It is customize/own develop BSP application, which is search FAQ (maintain in trxn: crmd_iia_faq) based on product. This is done by calling standard FAQ FM in BSP code, pass in product GUID to retrieve list of FAQs, and display FAQs list in the BSP page. Also, from the FAQ details, call standard Problem and Solution FM to get the details of Problems and Solutions, and then display Problems and Solution in another BSP page.
In the other words, this custom BSP application display data which is maintain in transaction code: COMMPR01, CRMD_IIA_FAQ, and IS01.
Setup in portal to display this iview/BSP application is done, because I manage to access the main BSP page in portal after logon with customer ID.
Difference result:
1.     Run BSP standalone in CRM:
When I execute/run/test this bsp application standalone in se80 after logon to sapgui by using customer id, bsp data is displayed, which is working fine.
2.     When I access/run this bsp through portal after logon portal with customer id, bsp data is not displayed, which is not working correctly.
Things that I had tried:
1.     customer user profile:
     Tried assign different profiles of customer id, my problem is not solved. I even add SAP_ALL profile to customer ID.
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
2.     customer user role:
     standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER (assign standard role to customer ID):
a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Look for standard role in assignment of crm object method to role -> get a standard role which is relate to problem and solution: SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER.
b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.
c.     Go to trxn code: SU01 -> add role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER into customer ID.
d.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
     Create new role, ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER:
a.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> copy standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER to customize role -> access authorization tab -> look for authorization for BSP applications -> change Application Scenario and View for UI display to *.
b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Application/Layout -> add new entry to View, view named as Z_ESERVICE.
c.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> add new entries into assignment of crm object method to role (copy SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER).

b.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> open existing customize role -> access Authorization tab -> click on "change authorization" button -> search existing Application scenario -> add '' inside (also try with certain standard scenario which is relate to product, FAQ, solution, problem) -> search existing view for UI display -> add "".
a.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
Questions:
1.     Is my problem related to role setup of customer ID? If yes, can guide me how to create authorization, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution, to customer ID?
2.     Is it possible that my problem cause by missing/wrong portal role setup or wrong mapping between CRM role to Portal Role? If yes, can guide me how to check authorization of customer ID in portal, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution?
3.     Any other reason that cause this problem?

If you know the BSP application name, then you can check this on /SE80 and get the bsp component details.

How to Display DMS document in Enterprise Portal

Hi All,
I have a scenario as described below.
I have a workitem which goes to user in his/her UWL for execution. When this workitem gets executed it displays an Adobe Interactive form.
Iin this Adobe form i am giving links to DMS(Document Management System) documents. So when this link is clicked the related DMS document files should get displayed.
Thru BAPI i m able to get DMS document number its Object Links and details of the files (PDF,DOC,XLS etc..) attached to it.
But I am not able to display this attached files on my enterprise portal. I debugged in R/3 and found out standard Function Modules which are used to display this attached documents of DMS and wrap them in RFC and called this RFC when user clicks link on Adobe Form in EP.
The problem I m facing is this RFC is not able to display the attached document files of DMS document on Portal front end. it gives error as u201CException condition "NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GUI" raised., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE"
The reason behind why it is running successfully in R/3 is, it gets front end as SAPGUI but while we execute it thru portal it does not get frontend type as SAPGUI cause portal always runs in Browser not on SAPGUI.
So, Is there any way to display this DMS document files on Enterprise Portal?? Or is it possible using Knowledge Management?? Or any other standard BAPI or FMs which can be used for the same purpose??

Enterprise Portal in Internet Explorer (IE) 7.0 browser

hi,
i would like to know the integration SAP EP6 (EP7 later) with browser IE7. I have an issue/error on page when I'm browsing the SAP EP6 in IE7.
anyone encounter this before. Any update on the IE7 or SAP EP patch in order to solve the issue.

some time ago i heard about the Enterprise Portal, which requires a SharePoint 2013 and a Dynamics AX R2 2012 Server.
My company has a fully licensed SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Server and enough CALs. We also have a Dynamics AX 2009 Server running.
Now to my question: What licenses are needed to get a Enterprise Portal with Dynamics AX 2012?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to know which licenses needed for the Enterprise Portal from Dynamics AX 2012 R2.
There are 4 types of user CALs in Dynamics AX 2012 R2 - Enterprise, Functional, Task, and Self Serve. The number of CALs needed is related to who these users are and what they do.

Publishing BW query to Enterprise Portal

Hi Experts,
I am BI Consultant , I created a 3 New BW Queries,thefront end report requirement is to published the report to the enterprise portal.
I managed to create a iViews, role and folders for my bw queries. However I am difficulties in achieving the current portal display of the existing BI Reports.
The Image will have a better view of what the requirement would be:

From This View ---> Tab 2 (This Contain my work which it holds my 3 new Queries)
This tab has only detailed navigation pane on the left side window

This page behaves by when clicking the report name, it calls the page of the report and puts up the selection screen of the report in the new window page. The report name has description below the report name/link.

Even if there would be another image, Its not very clear what are you trying to reach following the delivered description. However, I have the suspicion your issue is related to the navigation behaviour / look&feel. SAP is not delivering any step by step to meet any exact customer scenario, excepting very common cases. They dont do this for clear reasons: if you would combine all possible customizing options as cartesian product, you will get a nearly infinite matrix. Instead of this they delivering well descripted generall information about how SAP Portal navigation behavious under which circumstances, you could try to follow that

Error while calculating SPS for NW 7.3 Enterprise Portal

Hello,
I have a Solution Manager 7.01 SPS 28 (ST     400     0028     SAPKITL438     SAP Solution Manager Tool)
I want to download via MOPZ the newest SPS for NW 7.3 with Enterprise Portal.
I configured the SLD on the NW 7.3 side successfully.
The NW 7.3 transmitted the data to the SMSY.
I can create the system also successfully in the "Product Systems" and "Technical Systems"
and also created successfully the "Logical Components" and can assign to a "Solution"
When I try to calculate the SPS automatically for the NW 7.3 Enterprise Portal, the following
error Messages appears.

Hello Alexander,
I was having a similar problem, but only with the abap-related NW 7.3 components.
Please check the following note: Note 1595918 - JSPM: Validation fails due to mismatch at software features
   Do a backup of your BC_SL_SWFEATURE, delete those components you don't have, according to the usage types you have installed.
   In the portal, go to NWA -> Configuration -> Infrastructure -> SLD Data Supplier Configuration and click "Send and Collect Data".
Verify that the data is refreshed in your SLD.
In the SMSY, unassign the system from all the logical systems, delete the system, delete the technical java component and run the Setup System Landscape to create the system from your SLD.
After the system is generated, assign it to your Logical Component and try again.
   Or, instead of deleting / creating the system, maybe you can just refresh it using the steps from the note Note 1468559 - SMSY: Single system update from SLD
