Dovecot imap-login: Disconnected: Input buffer full

dear community,
anyone tried to setup a goldentriangle AD / OD with kerberos?
this is especially in respect to dovecot login.
settings done as in HT4778
It fails with "dovecot imap-login: Disconnected: Input buffer full"
there is a known issue, where the input buffer is filled up with the (ad) kerberos ticket and fails, as it is too small.
kinit is fine, tgt for imap is there.....
can anyone confirm this issue?

ok, what a pain, login is CASE-SENSITIVE ! So take care what username you take!
hope it helps someone else....
It can also throw strange numbers and letters when trying to login!

I have been working on this for hours and I have little idea what is wrong. I have dovecot setup to authenticate via PAM. I am sure that the PAM authentication is correct as a wrong password returns a bad auth error. However, when the initial authentication happens it feels like PAM isn't returning my UID.

  • In TestStand, How do I pass variables to a sequence, other than the standard Input Buffer?

I have Labview VIs that have arrays as inputs, I want to pass information in that array to the VI. TestStand already has the Input Buffer setup, but how do I create more input buffers, like array input buffers?? I know that the "Parameters" section in the sequence file is for passing info to subsequences, but that does not help me, Thank you in advance!!

See the TestStand shipping example located in the directory \Examples\AccessingArrays\UsingLabVIEW. This will show you how to pass arrays back and forth from a VI to a sequence variable.
If you are trying to create a step that handles arrays, then you will need to create a new step type that has an array step property. There is an example on the NI web site of a step type that handles arrays. Go to www.ni.com/support and search the Examples Program database using the search string of:
    +"step type" +waveform +teststand

  • Instrument reports: Input buffer overrun (Error -363)

    Hi all,
I am currently trying to control an Ametek XG 12-240 DC power supply using LabVIEW 2013. I have downloaded all of the drivers from Ametek and can communicate with the device using NI MAX. When I run the "ametek simple example.vi" to set a current and voltage level and turn on the power output, I get
"Error -363 occurred at Ametek XG Power Supply.lvlib:Error Query.vi
    Possible reason(s):
    Instrument reports:
    Input buffer overrun;"
I am new to LabVIEW and have not found any online solution to the problem. Any suggestions?

That's an IVI driver written by Ametek/Sorensen with a custom error code created by them. If you have CVI, you could perhaps debug the driver yourself. Otherwise, you might want to contact the vendor. Running I/O Trace would give you an idea of what commands are being sent.
The last time I used one of their IVI drivers, ki had problems as well. Instead of doing any debug, I just spent a couple of hours writing a LabVIEW driver. A power supply is a simple instrument.

  • SQL *Plus input buffer

I have a large script that works fine on my oracle server. When I bring it to my clients, it gets truncated after around 60 lines. I know how to increase the output buffer (EXEC DBS_Output.Enable(10000) for 10000 lines) but I can't seem to find the equivalent for the input buffer. Please help.

Are you using SQL Plus client, then you need to change the buffer size on the menu of the SQL Plus window.

  • How to intercept the buffer full citadel error in lookout 6.1

I've lots of data to log in the citadel database. Some of these are logged using the logger object drived on a specified event. Anyway, there are other data that are logged continuosly.
Sometimes the "citadel buffer full" event occours.
How can I do for intercept this error, if there is something than I can do?
    Thanks
    Bye

It might compile perfectly well, but the message suggests that you didn't deploy it properly. The class loader can't find it.
That .class file should appear with its package directory structure under the WEB-INF/classes directory or in a JAR in your WEB-INF/lib directory in some WAR file. Does it?

  • Yosemite installation stuck - Installer Log Shared Buffer Full

    Hi there,
I am just doing an installation of Yosemite on my MacBookPro and had let it run for over 4 hours now, looking once in a while at the installer log (Command-L). I have just realized that
    1) the installer log produced a shared buffer full statement! and
    2) the installer seems to be copying files from their place to the exact same place!
    Now two questions:
    1) is the installer still running?
    2) why the "file touching"?
    Thanks!

As for question 1) I can aster that myself: yes, the installer is still running.
My installation just finished now and seems to be fine. However, if someone has a clue about question 2) it would be great to hear the answer.

  • Packet Tracer 6.0.1 - Buffer Full

    Hey,
I'm experiencing an issue with Packet Tracer 6.0.1. When I try to send any packet over my network I recieve a "Buffer Full" error after so many hops. It gives me the option to clear the buffer but once I do the packet simulation resets. Because of this it's impossible to tell if my network is flawless, because it's impossible to simulate a packet on through the entire journey.
Does anyone have a solution to this "Full Buffer" issue?

Looks like this is using wineskin, I couldn't get it to work.
I'm using parallels though, so I just installed the exe provided by Totamann77.
Look at his guide here, it explains what you have to do to run the package.

  • Dovecot IMAP / Outlook 2003

Was wondering b4 i tear my hair of continuing with this
When i setup a Dovecot IMAP, the server works great but my wife is a Windows freak and uses Outlook 2003, when i setup the IMAP the account in her client, it doesn't setup the folders at the default location with the standard folder, it setups a folder beneath the default (with title mail.myhost.tld) with custom folders wich was apperently annoying. POP3 works just fine.
IMAP isn't possible to have as default 'Personal Folder' in MO2K3 or have i just misconfigured it somewhere?
I check the properties fror both folders and the default says it uses 2003 PST and the IMAP say it uses 97-2002 PST, i've remove all PST files and setup a new one and added jus the IMAP account but still the same problem.

Hi there. TESCO.NET host. I spoke with them at length but - you guessed - they said it was a Microsoft update problem.........................
And let me also guess - they didn't happen to mention "which" Microsoft update caused the problem so have to wonder how they came to that conclusion.
Anyhow - note the bold part in the error you've encountered - which is an error being returned by your ISP's SMTP server and has absolutely nothing to do with Outlook
Sending reports error (0x 800CCC78) Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded 452 4.7.0 (F11)
    To many messages sent.
Virtually every ISP these days is enforcing some kind of limit for messages sent which could be impacting the issue. The controls can be any combination of the following
#1 - # of recipients in one message
#2 - total # of messages sent in any given hour
#3 - total # messages sent in any given day

  • Sluggish Speed, Console Message: UMESSAGE Buffer Full!

I've been havibng odd performance issues for a while. Erased my system and rebuilt it today. Now I am checking the Console to see what could be going on and I got the message from Logic Pro:
UMESSAGE buffer full! Should never happen. Generate fewer messages.
Does anyone know what this means? Does it have anything to do with performance?

No idea. Does this happen on a fresh song? (Option-click on File -> New).

  • Is there a way to force the Tag Engine to dump its input buffer to the database?

I have an application where I start a process and log the data, and then call a subVI that uses the Read Historical Trend VIs to get all of the data from when the process started until now. The problem is that the Historical Trend VIs only read from the database on disk, and the Tag Engine's buffer doesn't write to disk until it's full (or possibly times out; I'm not sure about that, though). Is there a way to force the Tag Engine to write to disk, so that the Historical Trend VIs will return the most recent data?
Shrinking the buffer will help a little, but that will only result in missing less of the most recent data. One possible hack is to have a dummy tag that I simply write enou
gh data to that will cause the buffer to be written to the database. I was hoping for something more elegant, though.

    That's a good question.
The control about the datalogging and the DSC Engine is all done (more or less) automatically - you feel the NI ease-of-use idea
That means the Citadel service (one of the NI Services installed by LabVIEW DSC) is responsible of taking care about the datahandling (writing to and reading from the database files including caching some data e.g. index files, frequently used data...).
The DSC Engine makes a request to the Citadel service that this data has to be logged. Everything else is handled by the Citadel service. Internally, there are two kinds of logging periods handled through the Citadel service. One for traces being viewed (a small period: 200ms) and one for traces not being viewed (slow (big) log period: 20000ms). That
means, if Citadel gets a request to store a value it will buffer it and store it as soon as possible depending on other circumstances. One depends on the fact if this trace data is being viewed (e.g. with Read Histroical Trend.vi) If you request/read to view a trace you should pretty much see the current values because citadel should use the fast log period.
The Citadel service takes care as well about setting priorities e.g. the writes before the reads (We don't want to loose data - right?). That means if you really stuff the system by writing a lot of data the CPU might get overloaded and the reads will happen less often.
If you really want to see "real-time" data I would recommend to use the "Trend Tags.vi". With this approach you avoid the chain DSCEngine-Output Buffer-CitadelService-InputBuffer-File-HD... and back.
    I hope this info helps.
    Roland
PS: I've attached a simple VI that has a tip (workaround) in it which might do what you are looking for... However, Nationa
l Instruments cannot support this offically because the VI being used are internally DSC VIs that certainly change in the next version of LV DSC... and therefore you would need to "re-factor" your application.

  • Login name appears as full name - how to change to short name?

My user name for login on previous versions of OS X always appeared as the "short name". Since I installed a fresh copy of Snow Leopard, the user name in login boxes appears as my full name instead. How do I make the short name appear instead? (I'm a bit OCD, otherwise I'm sure it really doesn't matter...)

I still don't know whether it's because of the server connection, but I re-installed SL on another Mac on my network - and it did it again. Initially, when I do the install, the account I create shows as Admin. After a couple of reboots, though, it invariably becomes "Admin, Managed" - and the parental controls are turned on.
The fix is easy, as suggested above:
= create a second Admin account,
= log out of the first account,
= log in as the new Admin account,
= remove the Parental Controls checkmark from the first account,
= log out of the new account, and
= log back into the first account.
Irritating to have to do, but the Admin setting seems to stick after this process. You can delete the new account once you have fixed the settings on the real Admin account.
If your issue is a little different than this, you might want to go ahead and start a new thread. Since this one is marked answered, it might get little notice.

  • POP3/IMAP login - what are BT doing?

I have several BT sub-account addresses.  Some of them I access via POP3, a couple of others via IMAP using Thunderbird.
I've had this set up for years.  The last couple of days in particular it gets to evening and both clients struggle with failed logins.  I'm on the BT Yahoo platform and don't appear to have any problem cross-checking by logging in to webmail.
A Yahoo.co.uk acccount is also fine via POP3.
    So what's going on?

I am not convinced that it is the old Yahoo problem that occurred in the past.
A possible explanation why the yahoo account behaves Ok and BT Yahoo does not is Critical Path are involved in the BT case.   This needs further investigation.
    mail.btinternet.com resolves to mail.btinternet.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk [65.20.0.43]
    pop.mail.yahoo.com resolves to pop-secure-legacy.mail.gm0.yahoodns.net [188.125.69.44]
What we don't know is what interaction there is between cpc and yahoo, what redirections take place on the servers and where the authentication (or failure of) takes place.
Nor do we know why BT are making such a pig's ear of a fundamental system that so many others appear to do fairly well.  And I guess I don't know why I'm still using them except for the history of my email address arising from dial-up days.

  • IMAP login failures with known good settings

I cannot set an IMAP account for a particular mail server. The settings are known good (work in other clients) The server is absolutly an IMAP server. the login fails no matter what i try. If I recreate the account but make it pop 3 it works fine, but IMAP will not.

So your not a student or alumni?
It is that Kerberos for SMTP that gets me. That requires a token server to be .
Try the It people with how to you connect your computer to the issuing trust tokens
So I think the answer is ask the IT people how you connect your computer to the Kerberos/GSSAPI realm so the SMTP can authenticate. I have a feeling there is a [https://www.rit.edu/its/services/vpn VPN ]in your future, but we will see.

  • DSA Input buffer overwritten error

    Hi All,
i am using 5 PXI 4472 and one FPGA 7833R. I need to perform continuous acquisition on all 40 DSA and 8 FPGA channels at maximum of 51.2 KiloSamples/second and 102400 Samples/block
In my code i am having a while loop which will acquire dsa and FPGA data and write to file. When i consider 51.2 Kilo samples and 102400 Samples/block, the overall while loop delay is between 2000 to 2100 milli seconds. Meaning the file write and other calculations are getting compelted within 100 mseconds. i have assigned the buffer size of 1 Msamples/channels for DSA.
I believe that even if the PC RAM size is greater, DSA allows only 1Msamples/channel buffer to allocate.
I have also assigned 1.7 MB for FPGA DMA transfer host memory.
When i acquire data simultanelously from FPGA and DSA in a single while loop, the acquisition is happening fine some 15 minutes after which DSA is giving DAQ channels overwritten error.
But when i bypass FPGA acquisition, there is no daq error generated and acquisition is happening fine.
i am have upgraded LV to 8.0.1
Please share thoughts and experiences to get this solved.
    Thanks,
    Sudha

The first thing I would try would be to update your RIO version to RIO 2.0.1.
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/12E9CA0820A192F08625714F005A8B0C?opendocument&node=13206...
Note this is an update to RIO 2.0 not a full RIO installation.  Also note that this is not RIO 2.0.2.  I do not think you need RIO 2.0.2.
Reasoning:  Reading data from the FPGA DMA channel is a blocking method when using RIO 2.0.  That means it will consume 100% of the CPU while trying to get the data.  This is obviously fast, but can starve other high priority operations like reading other DAQ channels.  RIO 2.0.1 allows the Read to sleep while rating for the data to arrive.
This may not entirely solve your problem, but it is a start and the update should definitely help a little.
