Download chinese text from internal table to PC text file

Hi Experts,
Iam downloading internal table (which is having records in chinese text) on to PC file. But the iam not getting correct text in the pc file. Iam getting some garbage values text.
Iam using GUI_download FM to donwload the text.
Iam using internal table
Begin of itab occurs 0,
text type string,
end of itab.
and passing paramters.
Filename
codepage
table.
Can you please tell me how can I achive this and what are the parameter need to pass for this.

You can use follwoing funtion modules instead of GUI_DOWNLOAD. It will be more easier.

Can you try with DBF format(Pass FILETYPE = 'DBF'? I remember that in this format data will be downloaded in database storage format. Just check and update if it works!!!
This is what FM documentation says.
'DBF' :
The data is downloaded in dBase format. With this format, the data types are stored as well, For this reason, import problems can be avoided - for example, problems with Microsoft Excel. In particular, you can avoid problems with the interpretation of numeric values.

Download word doc from internal table

I know we can make a word document online using OLE.
But is it possible to download a word document in background?
Please advice. Thanks.

The simplest, and the equivalent to the excel method, is to download as straight text. Otherwise, you need something that can generate Word documents running on the application server.
I did encounter a problem during a project transferring a BPICS system to SAP. The BPICS system had an OLE plug in, and a document repository that allowed it to generate word documents in background, and do a mail-merge type operation. We could only duplicate this in SAP be using foreground processing.

I was trying to download data from Internal table to a text file in Unix.
How do I do this?
One more thing is the fields on each record of the file should be delimited by the! (pipe) character.

Downloading two internal tables in same text file

I have one internal table as like below.

     end of itab1.
Itab1 is getting updated from input text file(Continuous text).
Here Itab1 contains one record with Indicator '01 and n number of records with indicator '02'.
This needs to be seperated in to two internal tables.

Download Internal Table into a Text File in BSP?

I have an internal table which i need to download into my local pc. I know i can not use FM gui_download. Could some one please post code on how to download the internal table into a text file in BSP. Also i am not sure if i can use save dialog FM. Also need suggestion on which FM to use for save dialog which tells where to save the file.

when i am downloading data from internal table to excle file. some field values in a column are with leading zeros and some others dont have leading zeros.but in the output it is showing without leading zeros. then how to get with exact values.

Dear Kiran,
Those field in the internal table having Leading Zeroes, make those fields' datatype as character.
Then use the function module to download the content of the internal table to the excel file.

i have to down load the details of three materials present in the internal table into
a XML file, the material number must be the root node, ERNAM,AENAM,VPSTA
fields must be its child nodes. in this way i have to display details of three
materials like material1,material2,material3.
how can i do that in 4.6c version.

But this ole concept is downloading to excel line by line and taking much time.

You are populating the Cells one by one from the internal table, and all of them are coloured and font is bold. the method is OK, but when the amount of data is huge - it is going to take a longer time. May be the performance will improve a little if you turn the visibility off.
I ll suggest you to use ALV_XXL_CALL, it can color the key columns, at the same time you can have colored headings - and the performance is good. It is the same function module called when you do a "Export to Excel" from an ALV grid. But you can compain about the Font characteristics - as this does not change the Font size etc.
Your code has got a lot of freedom as long as the formatting is concerned - for bigger data - i ll suggest you to use a WS_DOWNLOAD kind of a function module to get the data at once in the presentation server and then call Excel methods and do the formatting.

Updating database table from internal table

I am updating the database table from internal table for this is have used the following syntax
Update kna1 from table itab.
And it is giving error message as the work are itab is not long enough.
Please help me.
