Can we download data to unix along together with the header column?

I normally add the header line manually, by doing it hardcoded.
Another option is to do it via an ALV list:

Hi,
How can we transfer data to unix with tab-delimited? I have incoming file with tab-delimited and want to copy as backup file in another folder in unix. When I read the incoming file, tab separator is translated into '#' so when I do transfer data to the backup folder, the file contains '#'.
Is there a way to transfer data in tab-delimited?

Some German alphabets are replaced by # while downloading data from UNIX

I have a problem when I upload the data into UNIX application server directory, the data for example the data sent to server had some characters with german alphabets 'ä'
'2 Jahre Erw. Gewährl.-Level HW-Rep.(11L) '.
When I try to download the data from UNIX to a .txt file, those alphabets are replaced with '#'. The above characters has a german alphabet 'ä' which was getting replaced with '#'. So the data in the downloaded file from UNIX to a txt file would appear
'2 Jahre Erw. Gew#hrl.-Level HW-Rep.(11L) '
I tried to rectify the OPEN DATSET statement with the statement below
OPEN DATASET L_UNIXFILE FOR OUTPUT IN LEGACY TEXT MODE CODE PAGE '1100'
IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS REPLACEMENT CHARACTER ''.
Even after incorporating the above code in my program didn't help.
Can any one suggest me solution.

Check the codepages. If characters are replaced by '#' there is no corresponding character in the target codepage.

Downloading the internal table with header to FTP folder

I have one requirement in downloading the internal table details with the fixed header line to FTP folder. The header line having the fixed text of 425 characters length.
Note: We are not suppose to use WS_DOWNLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD function modules.

I can download the internal table details successfully to FTP folder using the FTP function modules like(FTP_CONNECT, FTP_COMMAND , FTP_R/3_TO_SERVER and FTP_DISCONNECT). Here my problem is I am unable to download the internation table with some header text.

I guess you are using UDO, and set it the ObjectType to form.
It is a default behavior that B1 will clear the form for new entry, when it switchs to add mode.
Would you specify the scenario more? Why would you like to keep the data in the form from Find / OK to Add mode?

Export data from table with CLOB column

SQLDeveloper: 1.0
OS: windows xp for sqldeveloper
Linux for Oracle db
we have a table with two CLOB columns. We want to export the data to either text or csv. But the CLOB columns don't show up in the columns that can be exported.
How do I export CLOB data from SQL Developer?

I don't think this is a good protection: you can have these characters in VARCHAR anyway, and this way you "throw the baby out with the bath water". Not mentioning that right now also immune formats like HTML are also limited.

Enterprise Manager: Error in table "View Data" for table with 128 column

We appear to be getting an error when running Oracle Enterprise Manager when doing a "View Data" and selecting > 128 columns to display.

Not many people run into this but one has before: Too many columns to be shown in the Enterprise Manager 11g?
I can not find a known bug related to EM/CC, however a lot of bugs exist if you search in MOS for java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 128
So, best is to create a SR.

           In my goods receipt report output, there is a footer with boxes for signature purpose.
           This output should be able to download in Excel format.
           Is it possible to show the boxes in excel file while downloading the output?

Imorting data in tables with less columns

hello guys,,
our database version is 11R1..
OS is Windows 2008 server
The client database is on separate box.
i want to import table data from client machine into our database through impdp.
but the issue here is....
in our database there are tables in which the columns are less than the no of columns in client database's tables...
for e.g in client database if a table emp is having columns a,b,c,d then in our database, the table emp is having columns a,b,c..
is there anyway to mport all the data into 3 columns(a,b,c) of table emp in our database.??

What controls the space above 'maincontent' in CSS layout with header?

In a freshly-downloaded CSS page layout with header (twoColHybLtHdr or similar), there is a space of about 20px between the bottom of the header box and the top of the maincontent box. Because of this space, when a bottom border is added to the header and a left border to maincontent, the two lines don't intersect, which is what I want. What controls this space so I can get rid of it?

I'm downloading to Excel with Header. But One field is repeating and another is not. This is happening only when I use   'CONCATENATE ' . With Out this key usage data download to excel is correct. But   CONCATENATE is required as constant need to add before the one field.
My coding is as below.

it would have been better if u hve opt for creating workarea for ur internal table.
Try to use "clear it_final" after
CONCATENATE '894412' it_final-SI INTO IT_FINAL.
n also change the modify statement :
modify it_final transporting SI .

Column with header data value

Hi All.
I have a control file which i need to add a column with header data value.
example
data file:
123456;201303
santiago;producto1;100
santiago;producto2;200
valparais;producto1;400
valparais;producto3;900
The control file skip the first column and load the three columns on the table, but, now i need to add other column with 201303 value constant of the first record and load it on the table.
Then
select * from table:
santiago producto1 100 201303
santiago producto2 200 201303
valparais producto1 400 201303
valparais producto3 900 201303
How i do this in the control file?

Download internal table to excel with header

Hi All,
I have a requirement to download internal table contents to excel with field headings. I tried searching in forums before posting but didn't got much help.
I have used GUI_DOWNLOAD, WS_DOWNLOAD and EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT.
But unable to download the header in excel..along with data...
EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT is getting field header in excel but not downloading automatically , need to save manually which is not the requirement.
The data is huge with around 151 columns....I got 2 internal tables.
One for the data and the other with field names.

Hi Ravi,
You need to have 2 different internal tables for achieving the needful. One internal table would be having your data and another would store your table field names i.e., declare a structure of length 100 characters,
TYPES : BEGIN OF GTY_FIELDNAMES,

DATA: GIT_FIELDNAMES TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF GTY_FIELDNAMES,
            GWA_FIELDNAMES TYPE GTY_FIELDNAMES.
DATA : GD_FILENAME TYPE STRING,
            GD_PATH     TYPE STRING,
            GD_FULLPATH TYPE STRING,
            GD_RESULT   TYPE I.
Now have a subroutine where by you append your headings into the internal table i.e.,GIT_FIELDNAMES
   CLEAR GWA_FIELDNAMES.
   GWA_FIELDNAMES-TITLE = 'Material Number'.
   APPEND GWA_FIELDNAMES TO GIT_FIELDNAMES.
   CLEAR GWA_FIELDNAMES.
   GWA_FIELDNAMES-TITLE = 'Material Description'.
   APPEND GWA_FIELDNAMES TO GIT_FIELDNAMES.
Once you are done with it you can call up the save dialog
