Download ip4 photos to mac laptop
hi, my imac is in for repair, but I need to access photos which ive downloaded from the imac to my Ip4 to load onto my mac laptop and then use - is there a way of downloading these photos from ip4 to my laptop??
Use iphoto.
You can connect your iphone to any number of computers and transfer data; well data that is not protected.
I often plug my phone into my other macs to transfer photos and add bits to apps (under the apps tab).
But just don't sync it to the new computer or all is lost on the iphone.

My iphone was recently stolen. I am hoping, by virtue of icloud memory used which I have viewed on a friend's Apple PC that my family photos are still on icloud. I assume that there is a chance my photos were uploaded automatically to icloud. My own laptop is XP only so I cannot access Photostream from my laptop.
Is there any way i can access icloud photostream and download all my family photos to my laptop?
Please help.

Trying to download large photos to Mac
Trying to down load Canon EOS 300D digital camera large file photos to Mac Book Pro. Photos automaticaly download to IPhoto and are made very small.
How do I avoid this? I also have PhotoShopElements on the Mac.Some cameras give you the option of saving .jpg and RAW files simultaneously. I don't know if your camera does, but you may be importing the .jpg files instead of the RAW (or other large format) images.

I am trying to download my photos from my laptop on my ipad
Connect the iPad and select it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that you can select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad.

I downloaded Printopia Demo to my Mac laptop, but when trying to install it, a window comes up showing the printer is recognized, but there is no button to go any further. What do I have to do?
Close the window and print .... Read this for the details. Once you install it - you should be able to print from the print option in any app.
I have downloaded the demo twice. I forget exactly how to do it, but it is very simple. If you installed Printopia, just try to print something - try a web page or a photo. Tap the Arrow icon in the upper right corner in most apps to get to the print option. -
I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. I took a lot of pictures and video on my recent trip to Ireland. Now I am trying to download the photos and videos from my iphone to my mac - iphoto. I have tried 3 times and each time (at a different point) I get a message telling me that there was an error with one of my photos and it wont load the pictures. Help!!
Try using Image Capture to download to a folder on the Desktop. If there's a damaged file on the iPhone that's preventing the download you can isolate it with Image Capture and then delete it from the iPhone.

You have to reset the device to Factory Settings in order to restore it from an iCloud backup. You probably want to back it up as is before you do this.
To do the reset after you have backed up the current device, go to Settings>Reset>Reset all Content & Settings. This will erase the device. If you are signed onto iCloud with Find My iPhone turned on, go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom to sign out of iCloud before you do the reset.
Once you have reset your device, you will set it up like a new phone. When it asks if you want to restore it from an iCloud backup, select the backup you want to restore it from.

I have just installed Photoshop Elements for a MAC. MY photos were in iPhoto, I have 47,000 pictures and my drive on my Mac laptop is not large enough. I store my photos in iPhoto on an external drive. Can I store all my photos on an external drive when using Photoshop Elements? If so, in what format should they be stored in? I do I move them from iPhoto to the new storage location? How do I call them up in organizer? And how do I call them up to Edit? I do not want to store any pictures on my Apple Mac laptop. I want to store pictures on several external devices.
Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.
