Download jar only when it is used

I have an applet that uses some jar files, is it possible download the jar file only when it is called by the applet?

If you add an index file in the first jar file on the
applet's class path, the Java Plug-in downloads jar
file only when necessary.

I am facing an issue with prepreModel() usage in the .jsff page fragment. I want to invoke executables only when the specific jsff page get's loaded. I tried using 'prepareModel' as a refresh condition, but I can see always executables are getting executed. Does 'prepareModel' behaves differently for .jsff when compared to .jspx ?

ADF Regions have a slightly modified lifecycle. However, prepareModel behaves the same. Its marking a specific time in the ADF request lifecycle when the iterators are refreshed. Try prepareModelIfNeeded

How are you trying to access them ? If they are fully downloaded then you should be able to watch them via the Videos app, you shouldn't need to be online.

Hello,
the *.jar file thing is a common problem in Java. One simple solution to the problem is by saving the *.jar file in the C:\j2sdk1.4.0\jre\lib\ext\ folder. This directory is an extension to the regular java files and by doing this, java will look in this directory if you import some other files not included in the java package. This does not work if you are using JBuilder, couse JBuilder installs its own jsdk, which is uses, probably under the JBuilder folder.

i just installed the 10gR2 with cluster and donno why i cannot use ocfs.

Downloading JAR for temporary in-memory use or saved to local system?

I would like to be able to download and create a .jar file in memory, without writing it to disk, as an "option". My app should allow the user to reference an http://file.jar that gets "created" in memory on the client for temporary use, or they can optionally specify to download it and save it as a .jar file. I can't seem to find much info on either.
For the first case, basically, each time the app runs it should get the .jar file from the location specified, but without actually creating it on disk. Is it possible to download the binary of a .jar file from a web server and create it in memory so that it can be used? Or does it have to be stored on the local file system? If so, then I suppose I could use a "temporary" on disk .jar file, then delete it.
For the latter, how is a .jar file downloaded and saved to the local system?

Cannot send email only when I am using my school wifi network

I cannot send emails when I am in my school's wifi network. It is fine at home. But I am the only one at school experiencing this problem. I tried turning off and then on the iphone, deleting all my mail accounts and then reinstalling them, updating iphone to the newest firmware, restoring the iphone to factory settings, etc. but nothing worked so far.
I have a yahoo mail and an exchange server email and they both send and receive normally in my home wifi network.
The problem I get at school is that when I click send for an email, it keeps writing "sending" without actually sending it and then the only way to stop this loop (which could last hours) is to restart the phone and then deleting the email from the outbox. Before restarting the phone I cannot delete the email from the outbox.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm all of a sudden getting a ( Java Script Application "download error" message) when trying to use Ant Video Downloader. What could cause this?

When an FLV is playing and I want to download it. I click on the Ant download button. A little window appears reading ( Java Script Application "download error" message)

This works for me on YouTube.
Cancel the download and then immediately right click and choose retry.

'Downloading' Premiere Pro when I already used trial

Hi there - I used the trial for Premiere and have just paid my first monthly subscription to keep using it. I have started to download but then I got worried that I lose all my work I've already done and have to reimport all my source files etc. Can I just go into Premiere that is already on my computer and was working until my trial ran out last week or do I actually have to 're-download'??

You completely misunderstand how this works. CC merely provides the licensing, it has nothing to do with the technical side. So yes, reinstalling would be redundant. Furthermore installing has nothing to do with your data and doesn't touch your projects or footage.

Rattling speakers - only when using chrome.

I brought a new 2013 MacBook air today, and I'm having a weird issue with the sound. There's a slight rattling/static noise, but only when I'm using Chrome. It's fine in Safari, iTunes, and Quicktime.

I can download jar only if publicly accessible (It
should form a valid URL).Note an important distincion here..
1) It is possible to form valid URL's that
point to WEB-INF/lib.
2) The server should not allow access, to
that URL (any URL pointing inside WEB-INF/lib)
and should return instead the HTTP code that says
'not allowed/barred/forbidden'
There is a big difference between a[b] valid URL,
and a valid URL pointing to a forbidden resource.
But yes, you seem to understand correctly,
that the jar's for web-start cannot be loaded
back to the client, from this directory.

When remote database used in DB Link is down, JDBC hangs

Hello!
I have DB Link defined in my Oracle DB I work with from JSP application
which uses
Tomcat's connection pool. When remote DB is available, everything is
fine. But when
it goes down (I explicitly shut it down with "shutdown immediate"),
JDBC call hangs:
Statement Stmt1 = conn.createStatement();
rs = Stmt1.executeQuery("SELECT something FROM mytable@mylink");
Second line causes hang forever (or long enough for me to wait, more
that 30 minutes).
If I add this:
Stmt1.setQueryTimeout(5);
then it hangs for about 1min45sec, then throws exception "end of line
in communication
channel". Unfortunately, 1min45sec is too much to wait for the end
user. Also, it resets
my connection to my DB (not remote one), so it is no longer usable,
which costs me
something to recover.
It looks like the error occurs only when connection I use had
successful "history" of
being able to connect via DB Link. If I get connection not from
Tomcat's connection
pool, but force a new connection, everything works fine (something to
do with session
using DB Link).
Has anyone had similar problem? Is a workaround different from creating
a new
connection available?

Well, it appeared that this is nothing to do with Tomcat. The following sequence
of calls causes the same symptoms:

rs2.close();
stmt2.close();
// !!! do shutdown immediate to DB referenced by mylink, now

rs2 = stmt2.executeQuery("select 'x' from dual@mylink"); // !!! hangs forever
rs2.next();
System.out.println(rs2.getString(1));
rs2.close();
stmt2.close();
If I would create a new connection for the second set of statements (before
second stmt2 = ...), it will not hang, and I will get correct error:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-02068: following severe error from MYLINK
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

Make few columns of Excel file read only when downloaded

Hi Experts,
Is there any way we can set few of the columns in excel sheet as read only when downloaded from SAP.
We have requirement where a program will generate a report and download it into an excel file on desktop. When the file is downloaded, two of its columns should be non editable.
I know complete sheet of excel can be protected using OLE, can we protect few columns also using OLE?

I use pfsense as my firewall and see the traffic not reseting to zero when I cancel download.
Also, IE doesn't have this problem. When I cancel the download the traffic drops to zero.

And this problem seems to be systemwide. Since I created a new user and under which problem still exists.

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
