Download of  Java Server part 1 fails( size to small )

Hi,
I'm trying to download the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java Trial Version. When I start downloading part 1 of the server, the filesize is said to be about 1.677.721.600 bytes. But my download file's size is just 127 MB. I checked the ftp(hftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sdn/devkits/netweaver/java/) folder and noticed the file was replaced this morning.
Could anybody tell me if this is the right size or if a wrong file has been put on the download server?
Thanks

I figured it out I think. I copied jato.jar from
/opt/sun/webserver/https-jester.mydomain.com/is-web-apps/services/WEB-INF/lib/
in to the portal directory
/var/opt/sun/portal/https-jester.mydomain.com/portal/web-apps/WEB-INF/lib
and the server starts up fine with the portal app enabled. I have yet to find out if it actually functions as it is supposed to however.

    Hello,
    I am trying to download xdk_nt_10_1_0_2_0_production.zip from
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/xml/xdk/software/production10g/utilsoft.html#nt
    I tried from different computers and with different profiles, all with the same result:
    it starts downloading and then it breaks saying something like *"server connection failed"*
    Any idea?
    Can I get that file from s/w else? Can you post it here?
    Thanks,

    BTW I tried with a d/l manager and that's also not working, it d/l until 25% and then it stops.

  • Java Server stopped -11113 - Start of UME service failed

    Hi experts,
    I've recently been deploying via JSPM the latest component versions for my recently upgraded netweaver system (7.0 EHP1 on Windows with MaxDB).  Part way through I received errors and now the Java server is unable to start.
    Below is some of the trace from "std_server0.out".  I double checked the settings in the config tool and double checked the users in the ABAP system (SAPJSF and J2EE_GUEST), and everything seems to be fine, but I'm not an SAP J2EE expert so its very possible that I've overlooked something.
    I've looked through the forums and for the most part people with this problem fixed it by unlocking SAPJSF, but I don't have that problem.
    Any assistance is much appreciated.  If more of this trace or data from another log file would help please let me know.
    Cheers,
    JB

    So for anyone with similar data in the trace updating kernel might be an option.

  • Java server component library DC build fails

    Hello,
    I have problem with building sda from Java server component library DC which contains external library DC and jars.
    Btw., I implemented newest JDI patch (note 935334) so I don't have problem with packing jars into sda.
    How did following steps:
    <b>External library DC</b>
    1. Import jars into library subfolder
    2. Add all jars to public part jarAPI, which is created with  'Provides an API for developing/compiling other DCs' setting
    3. Add all jars to new public part jarSDA, which is created with 'Can be packaged into other build results (e.g. SDAs)'
    <b>Java server component library DC</b>
    1. Add jarSDA and jarAPI to Used DCs, with <i>Build Time</i> and <i>Run Time</i> Dependency Type checked and <i>strong</i> runtime qualifier selected.
    2. Add jarAPI to Entity References of defLib public part
    3. Build Java server component library DC
    After that build fails with following error log:

    Am I doing something wrong or SAP again released something not tested?
    Thank you for your answers!

    Did you also follow the instructions in note 891223? This note is referenced from note 935334 and describes how to update the Build plugins in your track(s).

  • Finder download from afp server failed one file larger than 2Gb

    I am using 10.5.1 on iMac.
    I guess this shouldn't be a problem.
    I download a file from university's afp server, but fails when if has downloaded 2GB (the file is larger than 2GB) with error code 1309.
    Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you.

    the disk format is:
    Mac OS Extended (Journal)

  • The server is failing to download some updates. Event ID 10032 (ran out of disk space & extended volume, still got error)

    On Friday, 9/17 @ 7 am, after deselecting Windows 2003 in products, I ran Server Cleanup Wizard (as well as sqlcmd -I -i"WsusDBMaintenance.sql" -S "np:\\.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query"), and 0 bytes were freed which I thought
    odd.   I then selected Windows Server 2012 R2 and Office 2013 since we're going to be using those.
    After this, on 9/19 @ 7:30am, the server had the message:      Event 364 Content file download failed. Reason: There is not enough space on the disk.    Source File: /d/msdownload/update/software/secu/2014/04/coreservermui-it-it_ebb7e1e8d487b90ffd719f06122a3db947b3f949.cab
    Destination File: e:\WSUS\WsusContent\49\EBB7E1E8D487B90FFD719F06122A3DB947B3F949.cab.
    At some time during the day on 9/19, our SAN admin increased the volume (all server's volumes are on a SAN) from the SAN end, and I extended it in Disk Mngmt on the WSUS server.   I went home for the weekend
    I came back today (9/22), saw I had gotten the "the server is failing to download some updates. Event ID 10032"   on Saturday 9/20 @ 1:30am.   I checked the volume \WSUScontent is on (the volume we extended) and it has
    17GB free. So I assume space should not still be an issue.
    The same 10032 error had occurred on 9/19, at 1:30 pm, but I assume it was before my colleague and I bumped up the disk space.  But why it occurred again the next day I'm not sure.
    However, since the 10032 error on 9/20 @ 1:30am, it has not reoccured, and no yellow or red event messages.  So possibly all is well now.  Could it have been that WSUS was being sluggish to recognize the increased disk space, even though Windows
    itself recognized it?

    Thanks Lawrence, I went through the steps you instruct on (which I did not know about, so I greatly appreciate that!), and freed up over 30GB of space.
    Outstanding! :-)
    But your steps don't really address deleting all (solely) 2003 updates.
    Correct. First, because you cannot DELETE updates, unless they are expired or old revisions, and use the Server Cleanup Wizard to do that.
    Second, because the article was about removing *unneeded* updates. It does not consider the scenario where a product category is being retired
    When I go to my "2003" update view, sorting by Any Except Declined, and Status Any, I still see tons of 2003 ones, some solely for it, others that apply to 2003 and other OSs. I want to leave the latter, but delete the ones solely for
    2003. Not just superseded ones, but ALL that are solely for 2003.
    You cannot delete updates. You can DECLINE updates, if that's what you want to do.
    So let's talk a minute about these updates that might be applicable to operating systems other than Windows Server 2003. Let's be practical about the other operating systems listed. If you look closely, I suspect you will discover that those "other
    operating systems" are either Windows XP or Windows 2000, but nothing else. Do updates for Windows XP or Windows 2000 really matter to you? I suspect not.
    The reason I highly suspect this is because the practice of building packages targeted at multiple operating systems was terminated when Windows Vista was released (actually I think it happened with the release of WSUS v3, but this is just a matter of trivia,
    the relevant point is that it's not done anymore, and has not been done for many years).
    Ergo, I know for a fact, that NONE of the updates applicable for Windows Server 2003, will be applicable for any newer operating system. Ergo, it probably doesn't matter at all, so just SelectAll -> Decline if that's what you want to do.

       I have created a program which allows me to upload images to Java Server thru Multipart.
    How can i receive an image from server and download it to iPhone app.Is there any way apart from NSURL i can download the image.
    Base64 Encoding & Decoding  seems to be not working.
    Thanks in advance,
      Haritha

  • I downloaded IOS6 a week ago, now, all of a sudden the when I try to send emails the server connection fails. I have tried deleting and recreating the email account, but no good. Any suggestions?

    I downloaded IOS 6 a week ago and just last night the server connection fails when I try to send an email. I tried deleting and recreating the email account several times, but it still doen't work. Any ideas?

    Are you using yahoo? If so, wait it out. Yahoo has had a lot of issues lately and you just have to wait for them to fix it.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv

    Hi all,
    I am writing a servlet that connects to Oracle 8.0.6 through jdbc for jdk1.2 on NT 4.0
    English version and it works fine.
    But when the servlet is deployed to a solaris with Oracle 8.0.5 (not a typo, the oracle on
    NT is 8.0.6 and oracle on solaris is 8.0.5) and jdbc for jdk1.2 (of course, for Solaris),
    the servlet failed with the Exception:
    java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv
    (I am using JRun 3.0 as the application and web server for both NT and Solaris)
    (The database in both the NT and solaris platform are using UTF8 charset)
    My servlet looks like this: (dbConn is a Connection object proved to be connected to Oracle
    in previous segment of the same method):
    String strSQL = "SELECT * FROM test";
    try { Statement stmt = dbConn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = stmt.execute(strSQL);
    while (rs.next()) {
    out.println("id = " + rs.getInt("id"));
    System.out.println("id written");
    out.println("name = " + rs.getString("name")); // <-- this is the line the
    exception is thrown
    System.out.println("name written");
    } catch (java.sql.SQLException e) {
    System.out.println("SQL Exception");
    System.out.println(e);
    The definition of the "test" table is:
    create table test(
    id number(10,0),
    name varchar2(30));
    There are about 10 rows exists in the table "test", in which all rows contains ONLY chinese
    characters in the "name" field.
    And when I view the System log, the string "id written" is shown EXACTLY ONCE and then there
    is:
    SQL Exception
    java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv
    That means the resultset is fetch back from the database correctly. The problem arise only
    during the getString("name") method.
    Again, this problem only happens when the servlet is run on the solaris platform.
    At first I would expect there are some strange code shown on the web page rather than having
    an exception. I know that I should use getBytes to convert between different encodings, but
    that's another story.
    One more piece of information: When all the rows contains ascii characters in their "name"
    field, the servlet works perfectly even in solaris.
    If anyone knows why and how to tackle the problem please let me know. You can feel free to
    send email to me at [email protected]
    Many thanks,
    Ben

    Hi all,
    For the problem I previously posted, I found that Oracle had had such bug filed before in Oracle 7.3.2 (something like that) and is classified to be NOT A BUG.
    A further research leads me to the document of Oracle that the error message:
    "java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv"
    is a JDBC driver error message of error number ORA-17037.
    I'm still wondering why this behaviour will happen only in Solaris platform. The servlet on an NT machine I am using (which has an Oracle 8.0.6 and jdbc for jdk 1.2 running) is working just fine. I also suspect that this may be some sort of mistakes from jdbc driver.
    Nevertheless, I have found a way to work around the problem that I cannot get non-English string from Oracle in Solaris and I would like to share it with you all here.
    Before I go on, I found that there are many people out there on the web that encounter the same problem. (Some of which said s/he has been working on this problem for a month). As a result, if you find this way of working around the problem does help you, please tell those who have the same problem but don't know how to tackle. Thanks very much.
    Here's the way I work it out. It's kinda simple, but it does work:
    Instead of using:
    String abc = rs.getString("SomeColumnContainsNonEnglishCharacters");
    I used this:
    String abc = new String(rs.getBytes("SomeColumnContainsNonEnglishCharacters"));
    This will give you a string WITH YOUR DEFAULT CHARSET (or ENCODING) from your system.
    If you want to convert the string read to some other encoding type, say Big5, you can do it like this:
    String abc = new String(rs.getBytes("SomeColumneContainsNonEnglishCharacters"), "BIG5");
    Again, it's simple, but it works.
    Finally, if anyone knows why the fail to convert problem happens, please kindly let me know by leaving a word in [email protected]
    Again, thanks to those of you who had tried to help me out.

  • Data transfer between C client and Java server

    Hello there
    I am working on a project where I have to develop a Client based on C and Server based on Java. The client can connect to Java server and it then sends a integer/string to Java server. But.. Java server unable to receive that and throws an IOException.
    I use write method to send the integer buffer to the socket.
    int out_buffer = 0;
    int *pbuf;
    pbuf = &out_buffer;
         if (write(acskfd, pbuf, 4)< 0){
                   syslog(LOG_ERR,"Write failed. %s(%d)", strerror(errno), errno);
                   printf("\tCLIENT:\tWrite failed\n");
                   exit(1);
    In Java, i use DatainputStream and readnInt method to read the integer from the stream.
    cl_sock = socket_out.accept();
    DataInputStream sInput =new DataInputStream(cl_sock.getInputStream()) ;
    int cmd = sInput.readInt();
    Am I missing someting.. Any suggestions would be really really helpful.
    Thanks
    Ithaca
    PS: I running both programs in the same machine.
    In C part, I also use host to network byte order conversion (serv_addr.sin_port = htons(portno).

    I would suggest writing a Java client to perform the same tasks as the C client.
    Then if the Java client does, or does not work this can help dteremine which end is at fault.
    Are you flushing your data from the client?

    I have tried all possible configurations of classpath with mysqlconnectorj and Tomcat, but i could not find any solution. Plz help urgently. Thankz a lot.

    Your DB connection is probably failing
    As a result your result set "rs" is null when you get to it later on, causing a null pointer exception.
    Do you need to provide a username/password for your database?
    Have you configured your database to allow connections from localhost?
    If you haven't already figured it out, doing SQL programming in a JSP is bad practice. Put your SQL code into a java bean / class where it belongs.

  • Using Java Beans in Java Server Pages

    Can we not use a method of Java Bean in a Java Server Page ?
    I am trying to retrieve the user email from a java bean method "getUserEmail". I am instantiating the class, but when I try to use that in JSP tags, I am getting an error.
    <jsp:useBean class = "formjavabean.application" id = "applicationId" scope = "session" />
    <%@ page import="java.io.*, java.lang.*" %>
    <%!
    String user = applicationId.getUserEmail() ;
    String f3 = "ftn03" ;
    String f3not = "ftn03 file not uploaded";
    ...........I am failing in debugging that, can anyone help plz ?

    Here is my whole code in parts:
    First the head section:
    <head>
    <title> Fastran </title>
    <jsp:useBean class = "formjavabean.application" id = "applicationId" scope = "session" />
    </head>JSP part in the body section :
    <%@ page import="java.lang.*, java.io.*" %>
    <%!
    private String f3 = "ftn03";
    private String f3not = "ftn03 file not uploaded";
    private String f7 = "ftn07";
    private String f7not = "ftn07 file not uploaded";
    private String f9 = "ftn09";
    private String f9not = "ftn09 file not uploaded";
    public String checkFile3()
        File ch3 = new File("C:\\JBoss\\jboss-4.0.5.GA\\bin\\Fastran\\ftn03") ;
        if (ch3.exists() == true)
            return f3 ;
        else
            return f3not ;
    public String checkFile7()
        File ch7 = new File("C:\\JBoss\\jboss-4.0.5.GA\\bin\\Fastran\\ftn07") ;
        if (ch7.exists() == true)
            return f7 ;
        else
            return f7not ;
    public String checkFile9()
        File ch9 = new File("C:\\JBoss\\jboss-4.0.5.GA\\bin\\Fastran\\ftn09") ;
        if (ch9.exists() == true)
            return f9 ;
        else
            return f9not ;
    %>Java Script in the body section, using methods defined in the JSP part:
    <script type="text/javascript">
            function validate_file ( )
                    var file3 = "<%= checkFile3() %>" ;
                    var file7 = "<%= checkFile7() %>" ;
                    var file9 = "<%= checkFile9() %>" ;
                    if ( file3 != "ftn03" || file7 != "ftn07" || file9 != "ftn09" )
                        alert("Please upload the required file") ;
                        return ("fastran.jsp") ;
                    else
                        return ("processForm.jsp") ;
            function validate_upload ( )
                    valid = true;
                    if ( document.val_file.filefield.value == "")
                            alert("Please select a file for upload") ;
                            valid = false;
                    return valid;
        </script>Finally the form and button part of the page, in the body section:
    <form name = "val_file" method="post" action="upload.jsp" name="submit" enctype="multipart/form-data" onSubmit = "return validate_upload();">
    Upload Files: <input type="file" name="filefield" >&nbsp&nbsp<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Upload"><br>
    <font color = "Red"><h5>(ftn03,ftn07, and ftn09)</h5></font><br><br><br>
    Files on the server :<br><br>
    <font color = "Green"><h5>
    <%= checkFile3() %><br>
    <%= checkFile7() %><br>
    <%= checkFile9() %><br>
    </h5></font>
    <br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
    <input type=button onClick="location.href='logintest.jsp'" value='Home'>  <input type=button onClick="location.href=validate_file()" value='Proceed' ><br>
    </form>Now try this:
    Change <%! to <%, or try using bean method as:
    String userEmail = applicationId.getUserEmail() ;..........and that is my problem. I would really appreciate any help, thanks

    just out of curiosity why don't you use the RFC connection instead of web service? you seem to be calling an abap system.
    anyway, just to be sure i guess you mean importing a web service into CAF Core as external service. Right?
    what's the nature of your import parameters and your table definitions?
    See there're limitations using complex types with web services. you have less problems if you're importing RFC into CAF Core. My guess is that you're using complex types in your RFC definition that cause problems when translated into WSDL. Can you try at least to the tutorial 85 "Using RFCs as External Services (Service)" https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b3529fea-0c01-0010-76a5-cf1239e38fd9?
